I would give this theater a negative five stars if I could. We visited to see "Obsession" and were appalled by the lack of cleanliness and maintenance. The lobby floor was covered in trash, and the garbage cans were overflowing. The concession and drink stations were a disaster. Multiple beverage machines were completely out of ice, and most soda flavors were unavailable. The ginger ale machine dispensed a discolored, poorly mixed drink that was undrinkable. While our pre-ordered combo was ready, it was missing items. We have been loyal AMC customers for years, and this is by far the worst and dirtiest location we have ever visited. Management urgently needs to step up and address these conditions. I will be escalating this to corporate, and I advise others to avoid this theater for the time being. read more

Really nice movie theater. It is large and clean and everyone was really nice behind the counter. We went later in the evening and they still had fresh popcorn. The theater we were in was clean and the chairs were in really good condition. We would definitely go back to this location when back in the Sarasota area. This is a great place to go to the movies. Lots of parking, easy in and out. Easy to buy tickets online and get the seats you want. Of course, a bit loud for us older people, but still great sound. I'm a impatient as anyone, and sometimes things aren't perfect. I think the negative reviews I've read are about being impatient. All and all a great place! read more

Horrible experience. Firstly, the employee checking tickets was incredibly disrespectful. I went to see a rated R film, and me and my friends all had valid, physical ids. The employee checking them treated us as though we were delinquents attempting to sneak into the movie and not just customers trying to support the theater. The lobby was full of garbage, the soda machines were mostly empty and the trash was overflowing, and it was the same situation with the bathrooms. Food was overpriced as always. MC Theatres has proven themselves to be a company that operates with a shocking lack of transparency and basic customer communication. Nowhere on their website, app, or any of their online platforms do they clearly disclose their policy requiring anyone under a certain age to be accompanied by an adult 21 or older after 8 PM -- a rule that blindsides customers who did everything right by planning ahead and purchasing tickets online in good faith. I am an AMC Stubs member and generally love AMC. I went to AMC 20 Bradenton today for the first time and will NEVER go back. The building is old and dark: we were in theater number six, and it was so musty and moldy from old heavy curtains and dirty rugs. The musty smell was awful. Also, we had to absolutely plug our ears because the volume on the trailers was obscenely loud, and then the volume on the main movie was barely hearable. Also, there was no exit sign once out of the theater that led back to the main lobby.... It certainly struck me as a potential fire hazard not to have clear direction to the main exit. The lady At the front where you buy your tickets did not let us watch a movie one night because we were "too late" we knew we were going to be late but wanted to watch it anyways. The next night we got there eailier and the same lady turned us down because we were too young?!?!? we are 19 and 18!!!!!! this is una and I will never be going back and I'll be telling everyone never to go there!! read more

Love this theater. Chairs are comfy, staff is great. The popcorn is always yummy, not too salty or too bland.

I took lots of pictures when I went here yesterday since I started going a lot recently- I just got the AMC stubs A-List membership!! If you have a lot of time on your hands I highly recommend this!! It's always been clean, not many people when I go on week days at the Noon or 1pm showings. Notes: not negative comments, just info- They don't have the movie titles displayed above each auditorium, so don't lose your ticket so you know where you are going. Ha! There are several hallways and sometimes the auditorium numbers seem out of order (like 18 being at the end while 20 is in the middle) ‍ No reclining seats, but still pretty comfy. Nothing stopping me from coming here at least twice a week since it's the closest AMC to me!! read more

There was way too much craziness as always. My preorder was not ready so I had to wait in line and then she didn't even ask to see my order I could have ordered anything I wanted and they would have given it to me if I was not honest. It was also dirty and very just smelling. read more

I want to give a shout out to the Bradenton 20 for being the only movie theater in the area that has showings with open captions, that is, captions that are shown right on the screen. Like a lot of people who are hard of hearing, I cannot make out the dialogue without them. Thank you Bradenton AMC management! read more

No issues, other than: Be forewarned--it is cold. I brought a sweatshirt and wool cap. Many seasoned viewers brought blankets.

Nice clean theater, comfortable seats and clean bathrooms. Excellent selection of movies to choose among. Might be a bit different at night, which we have not tried yet. Plenty of parking too. read more

AMC Bradenton 20 is a solid theater, with lots of options. First of all, there is a lot of parking right out front. The inside is large and spacious. There are plenty of drink and food options as well. We just opted for a popcorn and enjoyed it. There was a bar in the lobby as well; not sure of when and how often they're opened, but looked like a full service bar. The theater was true stadium seating - inclined upwards as you went further back, so no chance of being blocked by someone's head in front of you. Seats rocked a bit, good amount of legroom, and very comfortable. Pricing was good, with plenty of specials on certain days. read more

What's up with this AMC? No big and comfy reclining seats? If you want people to come back to the theater post-COVID, you're going to have to do better than that. Aside from that, the place was relatively empty, so we were able to socially distance. Also, there were ample disinfectant wipes so we could wipe our seats down and clean the armrests. Glad we bought tickets online first, because there was long line at the booth. We just walked straight in. I would come here again, but I really expect more comfort if I'm at an AMC. I recommend you do the stubs program, so you get the discounts and upgrades. Also, purchasing on the app has no charge if you're a member. read more

This was my first time visiting this movie theatre and I was impressed. The theatre is large with multiple screens (around 20 or so), and hence a massive selection of movies. I thought that tickets were fairly priced ... I paid $10 on a Saturday evening. Where they get you is on the popcorn which cost the same (if not more) as a ticket. Seats were very comfortable and spacious, and the the water clean. Lots of parking. You can also purchase your ticket online prior to arriving and choose your seat (but this was more expensive...and maybe a good option for those films that are extra popular). read more

A breath of fresh air in a still somewhat restricted covid world. AMC, is trying to bring some normalcy back into our lives!They are still working on process. The workers are friendly, auditoriums clean, sound fab...and masks "appear" to be optional. Dont be discouraged by all of the commercials prior to the previews...something I previously was very vocal and spoke my mind about in protest...it's how they are managing to "survive" during a pandemic, and able to provide an entertaining escape for all of us when theaters run less than a dozen guests per showing. Buy food, wear your mask...and support your local theater!! We saw RESPECT with Jennifer Hudson...and it was "fabulous"!! Get out, and ENJOY THE MOVIES AGAIN!!! read more

This is the nastiest AMC I have ever been too. I don't know what's going on here, but it needs to be addressed. When you walk in popcorn every where I mean every where you can think of. I'm wondering how the seats are... the seat area was clean! The only thing tho the seats are smaller than most AMC theaters. Oh I ordered popcorn and the attendant gave me all of the bottom and when I noticed and go back to him he gone say "I don't think we can refill it .. what! Who wants to eat scrapes.. I've only been here a few times but it's a solid movie theater the only downside is I don't think they've upgraded their screens in probably over a decade. They could refurbish/renovate and include some premium screens like Dolby Atmos/IMAX and also include recliners like most modern AMC theaters have. i disagree with the curfew rule, me and my 2 cousins got kicked out bc me and my other cousin were under 18 even though we were with a 18 year old. yet they let a little kid go with another person who looked around 19-20. the worker was very rude and not nice. read more

I have free large popcorn and free large drink for birthday form my AMC Stubs A List. Asked the lady at concession stand only for the popcorn since I want to save the free drink for next visit. She gave us a cup and when I informed her I just want the popcorn, instead of providing a solution she said "well I already scanned it". I don't want to make a big deal out of it so I just took it. Was in breather 16 today and the seats did not decline. We sat in the middle of the theater and the volume was Uber loud. We only come here cause it's the closest AMC in the area. read more

We typically goto Cinemark (we are from out of town) and boy we were surprised when we saw this theater. Starting at the concession stand the floor was sticky and it just didn't seem the cleanest. A lot of the drink selections were out. The theater itself smelled like mold/mildew. This is just a super crappy experience in comparison to other theaters. The halls to get to the theater were dark and reminded me of a haunted house. I would just avoid going here unless you have no other choice. read more

Been here a handful of times but I came yesterday for the Sound Of Freedom with a group of friends. It was the Sunday night showing at 7:45pm and it was sold out!! Definitely recommend buying tickets before hand and pay the "convenience fee". The line for the food was at least 25 people deep so it was great they had a self checkout to print tickets and purchase instead of waiting in line. I go to this theater to see the Fandom Classic series. Usually, there are only 2 or 3 other people in the theater. Seriously, the last 3 times, they either forgot to turn the movie on, turn the sound on, or turn off the lights. Once, they turned on the lights halfway through the movie. This is crazy but true. No one in the theater could believe it. I mean, the one job they have is to play the movie, and they can't do it well. I would have to run out to find someone to deal with this. You can never find a manager, so you end up asking teenage kids for help, and they don't know what to do. This is a reason why it is nicer to stay home and watch. read more

I like this theater inside the mall. Parking can be congested at various times of the day. And it's a bit unusual at night walking through the mall to leave when all the shops are closed. The place was clean, the staff was nice, the popcorn was good, they didn't have any water cups so they force you to purchase a drink at full price even if you only want a small cup of water. Overall everything was as expected and I will watch more movies here. read more

This theater clean and it offers several new release movies at a time. They offer a variety of snacks and beverages - even alcoholic beverages for the adults. The location is good. Parking lot is big and well lit. Security is good at this theater, employees are nice. The only thing I'm not thrilled with is they no longer put the butter on the popcorn for you. Came in to see ant man the other day. Theater was busy but staff was friendly and efficient, and the lobbies were well kept, cleaning wise. Picture and sound were great for a non premium format. Concessions have a nice variety of snacks and drinks to choose from. Lastly, a bar is available for those who wish to have a drink as well. Overall a great place to catch a movie. This theater looks haunted even from the outside. Maybe two people working, which was fine bc it wasn't busy whatsoever. We went for a showing at 6:15 and when we got there it said it was sold out but the parking lot was empty. We then bought tickets for a later showing at 7pm. When we walking into the theater (20) it was so damp and mildewy. Smelled gross and felt gross. Probably won't go back. I honestly can't believe an AMC theater could be in that bad of a condition. Not sure if the AC worked and the humidity in the theater made it almost hard to breathe. We also ended up walking out of the movie lol but that was just bc of the movie. Seats were also not comfortable but more focused on the dampness and mildew smell of the theater. read more

My favorite thing about this theater is the huge reclining seats. Also, the individual theaters are not terribly big so every seat is well situated. It's approx 7 - 9 rows deep and roughly 10 seats wide. You get to choose your seat when you buy your tickets. The concession stand offers craft beer and wine along with the usual popcorn, candy and hotdogs. Overall, it is reasonably clean and not too beat up (like many movie theaters are). It's a bit more expensive than average which hurts it somewhat. I enjoy going here enough that the additional cost doesn't keep me away. read more
