This employees are rude and this place is dirty. They refused to sell me a ticket to a 3+ hour movie with one showing a day because it was 30 minutes past the start time. They informed me the previews were 20 minutes and there was only one person in the theater. They called the manager who apparently doesn't want to sell more than one seat to a viewing. I asked to buy a ticket to another movie and then they said they would call get security to throw me out if I tried to go in the other theater with one person. I've been to much nicer theaters, but Carmike Royal isn't bad. Tickets: I thought the matinee prices were a bargain. The theater also offers "super special" priced tickets for weekday movies from 4-5:30pm for only $5.50. I didn't check out the details of their Carmike loyalty program since I live in Tampa and we don't have a Carmike near our apartment. Food: The concession stand prices are similar to other theaters, but the snack selection seemed smaller. I loved the popcorn even though my husband overdid it on the popcorn salt. Theater: The carpet looked aged and gross, but the stadium seating was really nice. They spread out the rows far enough that you can easily slip in and out of the rows without stepping on anyone's feet. Even though we had people sitting in the row in front of us my view was not obstructed. The movie screen was on the small side, but it was the perfect size for our smaller sized theater. Bathrooms: Decently clean and well stocked. The bathroom had less than ten stalls so there was a bit of a line after the movie and the area near the sink was annoyingly small so there was also a wait to wash my hands. Overall our visit was pretty good. I would visit again if we were in the area. read more

Not bad for a movie theater hidden off 70 in Bradenton. It's clean, they have plenty of snack and beverage options (including beer and wine), and they even have nachos and hot dogs if you need something more substantial. Restrooms and theater were clean too. They have plenty of smaller sized theaters with a nice elevation of seats, so nobody's view is obstructed. There's also an arcade with games to keep kiddos and kiddos at heart entertained before or after the movie. The staff is nice, energetic and helpful. Only change I would have is to up the audio. It could be tad bit louder for more effect, but this is a good place to go if you're in Bradenton. read more

They advertise their bar, which makes them unique in the Bradenton market but it is not currently open. When I asked why, I was told that the manager decided he didn't want to open it today. Even though three people were not busy at the concessions area and Tuesday is senior day which I would think would be a busier day. Took my family to AMC today. Very disappointing theatre! Seats are very uncomfortable and cannot be adjusted. Guess that's why whenever you see a movie here there's almost no one else in the theatre watching the movie. AMC get with the times. Regal theatres have very comfortable reclining seats for the same ticket price. Maybe if some changes were made the place would be packed. Basically the only thing good is the parking is convenient. So that is what the one star is for, the parking. Almost forgot, the popcorn tasted horrible, had a soapy taste. Not sure if it was from the popcorn or from the butter dispenser. So over all, pissed I didn't spend my money at another theatre. read more

Sadly the concessions closed and almost all the staff went home just minutes after the 8pm showing of Rocky vs Drago that they were never able to get to play and by the time it became evident it wasn't getting fixed, we weren't able to be refunded. Very disappointed and aggravating. read more

We were staying on Anna Maria Island and this was the only AMC that popped up on our search. The theater is huge. It's a stand-alone building with its own parking lot. Most theaters here at home are within a shopping center or mall, so parking can be a pain. We were there just 4 days after the switch to AMC, so the staff was not really on the ball. But the girl that was taking care of us really tried. I kind of like that you get your tickets at concessions, so we only had to make one line. Although, I can see how others may not like it if they don't want any snacks. I'm assuming that they do have self-serve ticket machines though. The popcorn was actually good. And they have the self serve soda machines. The seats were comfy, but not recliners. Nice theater overall. read more

This place is dirty as hell! I always go to the movie late now, so I do not have to hear the "Citizen Soldier" song. Or, the four minute short film about the brand of projector that they use. There are no frequent visitor type cards here, but there is free Kernal Seasonings salt for the popcorn. However, after our visit this past weekend they no longer have combo meals at the concession stand. What?!? No more kids packs for $5.50 with popcorn, candy, and a little tiny drink? No other packs packs or combos either; everything has to be purchased separately like a small soda for $4.00 or popcorn for $7.00. You would think that the "ghetto theater" would be trying to step their game up and stay open during times like these. But, if they go out of business, I would not be surprised. Since half of the people in this town are at poverty level or unemployed. That means that there is no reason to come to this theater anymore... I will now drive across Bradenton to go to the Oakmont Regal Cinema, because it is not as ghetto, they have combos at the snack bar, and they have a discount program card. read more

I get a kick out of this theatre and would love to see it on full tilt. Confessions on both sides of the lobby and on both sides inside the bank of theaters. I wonder what the expectations were when it was built. There are a lot of screens so you may be able to find a flick or two that isn't at other local theaters. The popcorn is delish. The seats are uber-comfortable. Maybe too comfortable. Sometimes I'll come here even though it'll cost a couple bucks more than a closer theater. Be cautious of old reviews, the cleanliness was well above average. Yes you buy tickets at the concession counter, but many theaters are going this route. The line got larger while I waited and a staff member announced they can ring up just tickets at the bar area. Seems like a good compromise. Prices were average, 20$ for snack, drink, and ticket. The soft pretzel was better than most. Above all, I care about the experience inside the actual theater. Seats, top notch. My favorite kind, leather and supportive enough to park in for a long haul. The movie was in one of the smaller rooms, but no complaints on sound. Only small gripe- sat a few rows down from the top, and during quiet moments the projector noise was a tad intrusive. read more

This theatre doesn't display anything exceptional in my experiences. It's fairly stale and dirty and the concession stand staff is extremely disorganized and untrained. There is an arcade which attracts a large number of youngsters, whose presence overshadows the regularly normal flow of a large theatre. If the teenagers weren't loitering, possibly the lobby and concession would appear cleaner and more organized. The box office attendants aren't too attentive. Twice, my hubby and I have had to ask for a refund for our tickets because we were sold the wrong movie screening/3D vs: 2D. Unfortunately, there isn't many alternatives in the Bradenton area for taking in a movie, so we will most likely have to return to this disappointing theatre. read more

First, I think that this movie theater needs to put a sign near the street that it's even there. Second, I was pleasantly surprised when we walked in because it was HUGE. We purchased our tickets at the kiosk because there was a long line for ticket & food purchases. I think that there should be separate lines for tickets & food (for those of us who simply want to purchase tickets). Third, the menu appeared to be vast and modern for a theater. They also have a tv in the lobby with tables, couches, & arcade games. Very cool! But there was a noticeable police presence (@ 4:00pm) so I don't know if they often have troubles. I'm not sure what more I can expect from my local movie theater. At this location I get all of the new release movies with plenty of show times. The popcorn is fresh and they have that "frequent movie goer" special on the popcorn so it doesn't cost a fortune every time you go. The folks at the registers are nice enough and I never get stuck sitting on a bad seat. And lastly, the chairs are comfy. So they don't have fancy sofas and cocktails but that's not what I need at the movies. Because of where this theater is located I tend to only go to shows when I know the attendance will be low. If only I could rate the audience I would give them one star, typically because most people in this town talk during the movie, have their phone out, or even Vape during the show. The theater itself isn't so bad, for the most part it's clean and the popcorn tastes good enough. But again if you're going to go see a show here try to avoid the busy times because for some reason people in this town don't know how to act in public. read more

Great theater especially since 2015 remodel with new seats. They even have a full bar with food now (haven't tried it). Always clean (including rest rooms) and plenty of convenient parking. Saw Jurassic Park 3D within the first week at a matinee and there were only 3 other people in the theater! I always go at non-crowded times and have never been disappointed here. The few times I've gone to busier showtimes buying tickets/food can be a bit slow, but that's a minor issue. read more

I'm not someone go go out and see many movies but this theater definitely needed an extra hand or two on the cleaning crew. Tiled and carpet floors covered in popcorn and straw wrappers. Truly looked as if no one had swept all day. Standardly I skip movie theater food due to its typical processed highly salted and highly saturated fat standard. This theater lacked any option better than that standard. Otherwise staff were nice enough with standard high schooler worker motivation, nothing much above that. The theater has reclining seats that were comfortable and was plenty dark for a good film watching. In a world of move theaters full of experiences and higher quality food and wine and reserved seating and at home theater like amenities this AMC just doesn't offer much. read more

Have been to this theater three times in 2 weeks. We do weekdays & mid-day. We live in MN. Winter here. The staff has been good. Prompt, adult, very helpful. The theater has ALWAYS been clean. By the way, I'm a clean junky. The floors were not sticky, the seats WERE comfortable. No one was talking or being rude with cells and such. The best situation regarding movie going is, if possible, go during the week DAY. ADULTS attend at that time. We travel and we do movies across the country on a weekly basis. Nothing is happening at this theater that isn't happening across the country. We live on AMI. WE WILL CONTINUE to attend this theater. Do day time, midweek. If you have to do a weekend do a movie that starts no later that 4p. If the theater you attend is out of control, ask management to step in. If they don't,get your money back. I love this theater! New paint on the walls, trendy carpet on the floors, and touch screen Coca-Cola machines for free refills. Awesome, black cushion seats that recline with adjustable arms. Clean bathrooms with sensor toilets, sink and hand towels. Great visual and audio sound with plenty of parking (free). They also have a new bar that servers alcohol and I heard food. The lobby has flat screen tvs and plenty of comfortable seating. I am definitely spoiled. read more

Love the seating, recliners with plenty of space. We sat in the third row, but it didn't seem so close because we were fully reclined.

I took my family here on Saturday evening for a movie. We saw an incredible long line and found out that there was only one person selling tickets. Thought it was just an anomaly but the line was too long and there's no way were going make a movie on time so we left. On Sunday we decided to give them another chance went back for a 1 PM movie and this time The line was three times as long. Again only one person selling tickets two people goofing off behind the counter and one person selling popcorn what an incredible site. whatever happened to this place it needs new management we had an extremely bad experience I would never go here again. read more

I am very disappointed in the management of this theatre. The purchasing of theatre tickets currently requires a patron to stand in the popcorn - soda and candy line. Tonight there were more than 40 people in line. With that line we would miss our showtime. I was told this is due to the change over to AMC but this is not the first time its been organized this way. If you goal is to drive up the purchase of overpriced theatre food by forcing peole through that line - then I shall never come back. If you need a clue on how to move people thru quickly have a ticket only line and a junkfood/ticket line. read more

As someone without a hearing impairment, I find myself straining to hear the dialogue at this theater. The audio volume is too low. If anyone near you starts to open a package of candy or makes the slightest noise, the audio cannot be heard. It makes for an unpleasant and frustrating movie experience. The volume should be raised enough so that the audio can be consistently heard through minor disturbances. read more

My family went to go see a kids movie "Missing Link" and was kicked out because of noise. My husband and kids were not loud and were just enjoying the movie. Instead of handling this situation professionally they got security to come get my husband and kids to leave the movie. The theater was not full and only 3 other families were in there. They were very rude to my husband and kids. No chances or warnings either. Never going back to this movie theater. Kids went to see a "kids movie". If you don't expect kids to laugh and enjoy the movie then don't complain when Amazon or Netflix puts you out of business. My kids range from 3-10 and they are very well behaved kids.
