This is certainly a place I'd have to assume one visits infrequently, due to the cost and specific meal options. The tickets were $15.50pp for an evening film, so higher than a standard theater, but not by much. Where they really make their money is the concessions. My husband and I decided to have dinner there, and he ordered the cheesesteak with truffle fries and a Sprite, and I ordered the sliders with regular fries and a root beer. The facility automatically adds a 19% gratuity charge to the bill, and our total came to $71.00. Even I was slightly shocked at the price, since we were at a movie theater The service and servers were great. The sodas do have free refills, but unlike other boujee theaters, there isn't a call button to use at this one. Overall, it was a fun evening. Hot humid movie theatre. They finally put the AC on and they probably never cleaned the filters. Mold spores everywhere! Severe Mold smell, wound up have asthma attack after being there for 3 hours. Dealing with mold sickness. Food was horrible! Had a chicken BLT Bun was hard as a rock, chicken was rubbery and un edible because they used a microwave to heat up food. My husband ordered a steak frites $42.99. Meat was terrible . Can't say all the food was all bad, popcorn, Fries and cake was good, and so was the water & beer & Margarita. The place is falling apart. The help had no idea what they are doing , giving people the wrong food and drinks. Placing them on your tray and then taking them back to give to the correct customer. Cost was approximately $160 per couple, waste of money. This place used to be an awesome experience a few years back, but now it's falling apart and the incompetence is unbelievable. If you don't mind mold and mediocre food this place is for you. At this point I will go out to dinner somewhere else like Season 52 and then go to different movie theatre afterward. Nice cinema but seats could be redone as the pleather is starting to wear off the headrests. There is a mandatory 19.5% auto gratuity on all purchases. Food came out quickly. We attended The Odyssey on Wednesday, July 22nd and sat in seats G6 & G5. We entered 5 minutes after 1:00. As soon as my husband sat in his seat, tons of noise when reclining! (Loud clicking noises ) The air conditioning was minimal in theatre 1. It's a three hour movie and very uncomfortable to sit for three hours with little air in our tropical climate. We have been here since this location opened and normally it's freezing cold inside So, of course I bought a sweater. Love this theater for its sound, bar,acoustics and food in addition to the seats. We bought tickets in advance(Phoenician Scheme) to get prime seats. Seats are very comfortable and the chicken bowl was filling and had a nice kick to it. You get what you pay for so recognize, dinner and a movie for two will run around $85 but worth every Penney. Do you need to spend a good amount of money at the movies? No.. but this place was what I chose every single time. The food is really outstanding and being served drinks, bottles of wine, and dinner/apps/dessert, or just a diet coke and popcorn, in your seat was absolutely perfection. One of my big pet peeves (don't kill me) is loud kids at movies (specifically adult movies) and Cinebistro actually does not allow kids to showings after 7pm.. which I really appreciated. The dinner and a movie experience was just OK wasn't the best but just Ok. The movie theatre wasn't the experience I was anticipating it to be. I didn't feel fully submerged in the sound like I would hope. The sound was acceptable and not great. The food was good but a bit pricey. The reason why customer service was below average to me is they want 18-19% gratuity however they bring the food out but don't take the trays after we're finished eating. I mean if we're paying 18-19% I expect you to go above and beyond and give exceptional service. Really This 18-19% should be cut in half for doing half the service by not collecting trays. We have heard about theaters with this experience but have never heard of this particular theater, CMX. We were looking for a nice theater to watch Twisters, and we stumbled across this one. When we looked at the menu, we were excited!! I had already decided what I was going to eat prior to going. They recommended you arrive at least 30 minutes before your movie time to enjoy the full dining service. We were so excited that we arrived an hour early. Since we were early, they told us we could sit at the bar or walk around the attached mall. The ticket taker took our picture at the red carpet photo booth. He was a lot of fun. Everyone was very nice and friendly. When we walked past the ticket taker, they had a life-like display of the menu for people who are visual. It was perfect for my husband, lol. When we walked in, we were amazed at the size, space, and comfort of the seats. I liked that each seat had a mini lamp and a pull out table tray for dining. Once we got seated in our assigned seats, we were greeted by our server. They walked us through the process and served our food very quickly! Since we got our tickets last minute, we we ended up sitting in the very first row, but with the recline, we had great seats! It was hard to stay awake because the seats were so comfy, and we were full from the delicious food! I had a cheeseburger with truffle fries! I also added a Sprite with unlimited refills and a box of candy. It was pretty costly, but it is definitely something I would recommend you experience if you haven't! read more

We went to see "The Devil Wears Prada 2". The seats are very comfortable. The theater entrance/bar is beautiful, but the movie playing in the theater next door was so loud we missed some of the dialogue in our movie. The other movie made our seats and the wall behind us vibrate. One of our group checked her phone to see if there was a thunderstorm outside. It was very annoying. We asked to speak to the manager. Once in the theater we ordered our meals. The waitstaff was on it and the food didn't take long to come out at all. I enjoyed my experience here and would definitely return. read more

bought tickets to see the MARIO movie at 3 pm and they didn't let us in because me and my friend didn't have a 21 year old accompany us. Fandango said only at 6pm and later hours that a 21 year old would have to be present in order to watch a movie. So me my wife and son went to see a movie and we were making small talk to the lady behind the counter and asked about kids under age attending a movie after 6:00. She told us as long as the child is accompanied by an adult you are fine. Fast forward 3 weeks to see Deadpool We get tickets online for 7 of us and the showing was at 9:00. They turned us away because of the 4 minors. I explained we were mislead by one of your staff and they said there is nothing they can do. If it was before 8:00 we could have went but not 9:00. So wait!!!! Within an hours difference you're gonna turn people away. Are the drinks stronger at 9:00? WTF is that about. What does the time matter. She said because there is alcohols. I said no shit there is alcohols there at 8 as well. She was a condescending gutter rat about the situation. So she refunded my money but not all of it. I asked why? First let me say that my wife & I love this place! From the kids that sell the tickets to the bartenders & the wait staff in the theaters, they are all great! The issue is their customer service beyond this theater. My wife & I went to the 1:15 showing of The Housemaid on 1/19. We had a drink at the bar & brought one to our seats & ordered popcorn. All was well until we hit 1:20 & no movie, 1:25 & no movie. Finally @ around 1:30 a manager came in & told us there was a technical problem & the movie wasn't going to be shown. She gave us a voucher for a future movie & assured us that the price of our tickets would be refunded to our credit cards in a few days. We took our popcorn & drinks to the bar & finished them there. The manager made certain that anyone who wanted to see a different show would be accommodated & we watched the kid at the ticket booth scramble to make sure it happened! About a week later my wife & I went to another show. We had yet to receive our refund so I asked the attendant what I should do. He gave me a piece of paper that included directions about what customers should do about their now defunct points program. The directions clearly state that "members will receive an email explaining the transition in detail before it goes live" (as an aside, I have yet to receive this email). The reason the kid gave this to us was it had an email address to contact customer support (it also clearly stated not to give guests any other email address). I reached out on 1/31 (automated response that I would hear back within 3 business days), 2/8 & 2/14 with no response. Can't speak for any other locations but this one is about to go under. No popcorn bowls, no television service, no high end liquor on their shelves & frequently no basic drink mixers. We will miss this place & the staff when it closes. read more

We've been coming here for a few years now. Maybe 1-2x per year as we don't live that close and usually go to Lakewood Ranch Cinemas. But once in a while it is nice to have dinner and a movie or relax in bigger seats with more privacy. I'm not sure if things have changed recently, but tonight's experience was pretty sub-par. You pay a huge premium here. The tickets are more expensive, the food is really overpriced for what you get, they tack on a minimum 19.5% tip for taking your order and running it out, never to be seen again, etc. You would generally expect a better level of service, and that seemed to be the case in the past. Here are some of the issues: 1) Popcorn tasted stale and overly salty. It also used to come out in a big bowl, making sharing easier, but they switched to cheap paper bags, For $12 + tax + tip, I expected better. 2) The bathrooms were pretty nasty. Also, 3 out of 4 of the hand soap dispensers were empty and the one working one seemed about out. They apparently don't clean or service the restrooms much. 3) The prices for everything seemed to go up. It could be my imagination, but it seems like they are really trying to get people to spend at least $50/person not including alcohol. That is on top of the movie ticket price. On this trip, we already ate and went to a later showing, so we only got two sodas, a popcorn and a candy, and it was almost $40. 4) I have no idea when they started introducing the policy of checking bags, but we never had that happened before. My wife has a little purse and they demanded to look inside it before letting us in the theater for "safety". I've NEVER seen any theater do that ANYWHERE in my life. And never even at this place until tonight. Something tells me it has more to do with trying to catch people bringing in food/drinks vs a weapon, especially since it would be trivial for someone without a bag to get something like that in there if they were crazy enough. It's rude and a violation of privacy. 5) The sound volume on the movie was way too low. If there was an explosion or something like that, it was loud, but regular dialogue and whatnot was almost unintelligible at times and was only coming from the front speakers, as opposed to any semblance of surround sound. While Lakewood Ranch Cinemas certainly isn't as 'fancy' as this place, the service is a lot friendlier, the restrooms are cleaner, the picture and sound quality are better, and the prices are about half. read more

Had to get up and looked for someone to explain what happened. No one at the bar and had to search. Found someone and explained what happened. Another server eventually brought our order. Went to see a movie as a family of four, and my son was too sick to join. We asked the concierge before the movie if we could get a refund for his ticket and she said she couldn't do it at the desk, but that corporate would definitely honor that. Well, they did not. It took over two weeks for them to respond and tell me no. In addition, our candy (reeces pieces) we're stale, white, and chewy. When I returned them to the concession stand, the guy was super nice and gave me another box, but it was the same thing. He then gave me a box of skittles which I brought back to my seat and they were also stale. Very disappointing considering we spent $200. read more
