Clean theater with ample seating (not very comfortable) and decent picture and sound quality. The ticketing process was self service but smooth (a bit of a wait) Concessions were a bit pricey (as expected), and a slow moving line. Overall a good spot to catch a movie, just wish the lines moved a bit more quicker!

Came to see Wicked part I here and it was not what I expected. The theater looks run down and it is definitely in need of a renovation. I didn't like that the seats were not reclinable and were stacked up one against another. With an energetic 4 year old it was impossible for her not to kick the chair in front of her as it was literally right on top of us (no exaggeration). The film was super long , 2 hours 40 minutes and with no reclining seats it was rough. The movie was great and the sound was good. I liked that they had a popcorn and drink sale where you got a small popcorn and drink for $7 . Overall , there was a lot of parking and they seem to have a lot of auditoriums but I don't think I'd come back unless I couldn't find a showing elsewhere. It's too crammed in there and I don't like not having the reclining seats. Please consider updating the seats for a more comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Note to AMC management: Close down or renovate this location. I only chose this theatre location because my family wanted to see Marvel's Wakanda Forever on its opening weekend, I wanted to use my AMC Stubz account rewards, and all other AMC theaters in my area were already sold out. But now, I totally understand why other theatre goers prefer other AMC locations as their first choice to see a blockbuster movie. You don't smell it when you first walk in, but I noticed there was a slight stench in the air as we traversed the narrow corridors toward our theatre #13. The hallway is a mini maze that smells like "Old de toilette" similar to an old billiards hall or bowling alley. Theatre 13 is very tiny, but we were already aware that this was the situation going into the theatre because we had to reserve our seating when we purchase our tickets on the AMC app. (Note: Theatre 13 seats approx. 20-25 people at most). What we hadn't counted on was the meager conditions of theatre 13. The headrests on the reclining seats were rubbed off either because of friction from peoples heads or due to AMC's rigorous cleaning protocols; the wishful thinker in me is hoping that the latter is true. The seat reclining angle is just short of adequate. After the first 60 minutes of the 3+ hour movie, I realized that my seat was uncomfortable, as I found that it was difficult for me to settle into a good neck position. Also, at some point the room's climate control became an issue. All of a sudden, the room became warm and stuffy which made it difficult for me to stay awake. I was fanning myself with a hair bonnet that I wore into theater. By the way, if you're thinking this, NO, I did not have the meat sweats and, NO, I am not pre-menopausal. I have a thing for bathrooms and this theatre was a pure dee let down in that area. The bathroom nearby, closest to theatre 13 was like a coat closet. It has two tiny stalls and the tile-work is cracked and dated. But at least it was stocked with TP, toilet liners, and soap, so I shan't complain. Back in theatre 13, the audio and picture quality were excellent but not enough to overcome the other deficiencies I noted. I'll keep this theatre in mind as a distant last resort for my movie ventures going forward.

    Broken seats all over

I'm sorry but this was my first time at this theater and it's a dump. Lots of seats were broken and somehow they still were able to be booked online? We watched a group fill a row and two of the seats were beyond broken. A worker came in to look at it and the back of the seat was completely detached from the rest of it. (We were in theater 6-I see other reviews mentioning it is small, lesson learned on that) you mean to tell me whoever cleans the place couldn't see the blatantly obvious broken seats? Looks like other reviews have been complaining about the poor condition of the place for years so safe to say we will not be returning.

Very disappointed.. We looked online to check the allergen menu and saw that the cinnamon sugar pretzels were vegan, we tried ordering and the guy said only the impossible nuggets were vegan. Why have a non inclusive menu with false information? We went to our movie and other people were sitting in the seats we bought, when we asked them to move they rolled their eyes- i know thats not the movie theaters fault but there could have still been preventable measures. The chair and cup holder were disgusting! Mine had some sticky liquid inside and it made me so disgusted to even stay and watch the movie- wish they actually cleaned it like they say they do. Not returning here

Worst movie theater, avoid at all cost. Just went to see Retribution in theater 6. 2 of the 4 reserved seats were broken and couldn't recline (one of them was missing the buttons all together). My entire row was full and the only other available seats were neck breakers in the front. We endured the broken seats because we drove a long distance just to see the movie. After the movie ended I told a staff member by the name of Jezeal the issue and her response was there is nothing they can do because the movie had already ended, if I would have said something sooner they would have moved us. I told her I looked at what seats were available and the only other ones available were in the front as pictured in my screenshot. I told her to let me speak to a manager and James was called. He told me the same thing. No credit, no courtesy pass and no apology offered. Personally I feel if my complexion was lighter I would have been treated differently. Definitely going to write a letter to corporate as well.

This is a nice theater and well worth the visit. It's not new, but clean nice and the seats are cozy. It's also never too crowded.

We went to the theater after an absence of about 2 years. The chairs were new and the theater spotless. Our experience was very positive.

The food was awful. There was garbage everywhere. The seats were okay but the table trays were terribly designed.

Is this a dine-in theater where they serve you at your seat?

No. Just reclining reserved seating. BYOF.

On Saturday morning, when does the box office doors open so I can buy ticket? I can't buy online, so have to go in person, and would like to buy as early as possible to get good seats. I know that they don't open the doors even when the mall is open.

I'm not sure what time they open but I normally reserve on Fandango ... you can purchase tickets in advance and choose your seat.

As much as I love movies, I haven't been to a movie theater in over 10 years. Last movie I saw in a…read moretheater was "Black Mass" with Johnny Depp as Whitey Bulger in South Orange with my oldest friend and a relative (who is a former San Quentin inmate and looked like he should have been up on the screen performing instead of in a seat, watching). Why the long gap? Partly because of the movies they make nowadays, which seem designed to appeal to children, childish teenagers still in love with comic books and anime, and the addle-brained. Other reasons? I dunno...maybe just because. I'm older now and watch old and new movies on my blu-ray from the comfort of my dilapidated couch. Have I been tempted to go back? Yeah (especially back to the bygone days when I'd see a movie in the Hudson Valley whacked out on Vicodin or Percocet. I had long since stopped drinking in situations where I had to drive, but I figured the opiates were medicinal and wouldn't impair me. I stopped after 1 trip where I became sick during a viewing of "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines." The pill hit me badly and instead of staring in mezmerized adoration at Kristinna Loken on the screen, I broke out in a cold sweat, was nauseous, and had to use every fiber of my being to keep from vomiting on the floor. The sick feeling eventually receded, and, in my stupidity, I figured if I popped another pill after the movie, I'd be ok to drive home. Instead, I was confused by the darkened, unlighted streets leading off from Rt. 9, and as I approached the Bear Mountain Bridge, a torrential downpour descended on me, making the drive even more perilous. I said aloud, "If there is a God or a Heaven, get me home in 1 piece, without killing myself or someone else, and I'll never do this again." I still don't know if there's a God or a Heaven, but I got home in 1 piece, and I never did it again. Anyway...back to the review...) I took off July 4 (last year, getting out of Hoboken where I work was a nightmare and I vowed never again). I hadn't seen my old narcissistic friend in a while, and since he was off on Saturdays, we got together. He suggested a movie. Given we were in the middle of a fierce heat wave, I figured an air-conditioned movie theater might be just the thing, and I wasn't all that interested in what we'd be seeing. In all honesty, I was "jones-ing" for movie theater popcorn, along with a box of cookie dough candy, and a large Coke. My friend mentioned Reading Theater in Manville, and I was game. We had once talked about going there when they were showing "The Exorcist" (a favorite for both of us), but it was only for 1 night, and we couldn't make it. I drove. Even though I'm not all that familiar with Manville, the drive was not too far from where I live. We pulled into a large parking lot and entered the theater hastily to escape the soul-shredding heat. Inside, the theater was enormous. My friend had ordered tickets on-line, a procedure I'm not familiar with, but I was told you can pay for your tickets the old-fashioned way if so inclined. I ended up ordering a large vat of popcorn with butter (I remember being told that the next vat was free, but I responded that if I return for another vat, call 911). Cookie dough candy. A large Coke. I was in pig heaven. Prices for everything seemed fair. There are 6 theaters, if I remember right. Someone had recommended the movie we were to see to my friend, and I believe it was in Theater 6. A large room, with many empty seats. We went to seats that weren't assigned to us (at my friend's suggestion) only to be displaced by the people who had actually reserved them (we were all polite to each other, but...seriously...in a huge empty theater, you HAD to have those particular seats!?! Anyway...) The movie was "Obsession" which I took to be a "cute" Rom-Com film for whatever they're calling young people these days, and I made an exit for the bathroom, which was clean and spacious. When I got back, the Rom-Com had transformed into a horror movie. (My verdict on the film? Ambivalence. The plot seemed a steal from the old E.C. comics or an episode of Twilight Zone, but it was pretty effective, and special kudos to Inde Navarrette for making a very difficult, implausible part plausible and frightening. Anyway...) There was a built-in tray by each seat for foodstuffs, which I appreciated. Previews for movies I have no interest in seeing. Then the movie itself. Any downsides? I don't know if it was just for this particular movie, but anytime there was a "got-cha!" moment designed to startle or frighten the viewer, the sound system let loose what I can only describe as a sudden, booming explosion that left my nerves frayed, but probably not for the reason the film-makers intended. Overall? I enjoyed myself. I'd like to see another movie here in the not-too-distant future. Recommended. I hope in future they show more old movies like "The Exorcist," or maybe even "High Sierra."

However, the point of this screed is not to opine on the dismal choices facing movie goers who are over the age of seven... it is to lament sitting in the fantastic Picture Show theaters to enjoy what turned out to be for all intents and purposes, a private showing for four paying customers. On average we are part of the lunatic fringe who still go to three or four movies a month and I'm always left wondering how any theater can cover their nut playing to the disposal fodder that echos against the walls of two thousand empty screens. Someone must be buying the Jalapeno nachos but like I said, I'm not seven. Basically, Picture Show does a fantastic job. They don't rip you off, the seats are great and the acoustics shine. All of which is to say that I'll keep coming but it would be nice to see a bigger crowd. Five stars for hanging in.
