I am writing to share a very disappointing experience at the Regal Hamilton Commons (Trenton area location). Our group of 17 people attended a screening of Dhurandhar in Theater Room 1, and the sound volume in the auditorium was excessively loud to the point of being physically uncomfortable. More than 6 members of our group developed headaches during the movie, and several others expressed significant discomfort and dissatisfaction. The volume level was not just Immersive--it was Overwhelming, Harsh, and Disruptive and Unsafe, making it difficult to enjoy the film. I personally went to speak with the manager 8 minutes during the screening and was told that the volume would be lowered. Unfortunately, it did not seem that any meaningful adjustment was made, as the sound remained excessively loud for the duration of the movie. 4 Hours long. Additionally, many other guests in the theater were also expressing dissatisfaction with the volume level, which makes it clear this was not an isolated concern from our group alone. A movie theater experience should be enjoyable and safe for all guests, but the sound levels during our visit were far beyond what would be considered Reasonable or Safe. This issue affected a large portion of our group and turned what was meant to be a fun outing into a very disappointing experience. We strongly recommend that management review and properly regulate the audio levels in Theater Room 1, particularly for screenings like Dhurandhar, to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all customers. read more

2 years ago I used to hate this cinemas for I had to travel all the way from Jersey to North Brunswick. Now that I've moved closer the Brunswicks, I don't carry that grudge anymore. ;) Located on Highway 1, this place is hard to be missed when you are on the road. The parking is a breeze and with the humongous size of it, you can always find a spot; just have to walk a lot if you are to park at the farther end. They have a good number of screens and hence the popcorn counter is almost busy all the time. They also have bit of arcades to entertain the kids. The seats are plushy and comfortable and with the recliner option, watching movies can't be more enjoyable. The audio and video are of good standard too which are ideal for any cinemas. My family lives 20 min away from this theatre but we always come here for movies. The seats are super duper comfortable and make the movie for me. We saw a 3D movie and the seats were vibrating with the sound!! It was so cool. Popcorn way too salty but honestly whatever, it's probably the point. read more

I LOVE this theater. I mean LOVE it. It is never packed. I live up in bucks county PA and I travel all the way here just to go to this theater. The food prices are WACK but that is an issue at every theater in America lol. If you want some peace and quiet while your watching a movie, and not have a million people in the theater with you. This is my 1st time here ... and now am wondering why I never came before. I've had free tickets from work for a few years now....finally today i came to check it out since I was in the area and had some free time. It seems that the theater was upgraded cuz it seems pretty new.... and clean... the seats were amazing- motorized reclining chairs ... like lazy-boy ....the floors were ?Hardwood ... plenty of space in front and behind you. Don't have to worry about people hitting ur seats or people in front of you in the way. I can't wait to use my other tickets ... now I will come sooner than later :) read more

When did we become so spoiled? Theaters have taken couch potato to a whole new level. After you experience the plush, oversized, comfy recliners, how can one go back to sitting in one of those hard, rigid chairs? Regal Cinema 18 here has done a great job in renovating the entire theatre. It's clean and the staff is always super friendly with a smile. With the price of movie tickets so high, my family and I only go to the theatre when it's a movie we really want to see. I mean, by the time we get our snacks at the concession stand, it's a pricey night out for us. Being a huge movie lover, I would love to hear from my fellow Yelpers what your all time favorite movie is and who your favorite actor(s) are. If I haven't seen the movie, I would love to add it to my must see lists. Two of my favorite films are: Kramer vs Kramer and The Bridges of Madison County. Yes, both of these films happen to feature my favorite actress, Meryl Streep, and no, she is not overrated! So sit back, relax into one of these comfy chairs and enjoy the movie!! I enjoyed this theater before the pandemic and I'm happy to say that I recently went back to see "The Batman" and it's still my go-to theater in the area. They keep it clean and their staff is friendly and considerate. While the prices of concession items is high, those are high everywhere. I especially enjoy their reclining seating, the spaciousness in the actual theater (so you don't feel on top of people), and the volume level. I think too many places crank up the volume to give you a sense of immersion but with RPX you "feel" part of it without blowing your eardrums out! read more

The concession stand was a little bit ridiculous due to the fact that we waited in line for about 15 minutes just to be told that they don't accept cash, they should put signs up at the cash lines and in the card lines. A theater that feels like it is in decline. The place feels grimy and the clientele has shifted so that they now have to have armed police in the lobby. But that's not what triggered this review. On April 13, 2019, there was a small fire in the kitchen that necessitated an evacuation. Normally a well-trained staff led by a competent manager would have made this just a mere inconvenience. What followed was an example of what NOT to do in a crisis, especially in a crowded theater. There was no announcement. No staff members came into the theater and told us to evacuate. Other patrons were looking around and asking "what should we do?" At no time did any of us receive any assistance from the staff, some of whom were still sweeping up candy wrappers and oblivious as to what was going on. There was no orderly evacuation. Every theater emptied at the same time, creating a jam in the hall. Patrons were not directed away from the fire but sent through the smoky lobby. An elderly couple, one of whom needed a walker, were the last to leave and they were alone. Staff members were already out of the theater. No one bothered to check and, in worse circumstances, this elderly couple may have been killed. In short, this was a total breakdown in process, a process later confirmed by Regal corporate management. If this were a more serious incident, it would have been the subject of news reports and law enforcement investigations. The theater was closed for a few days after that for "code violations." The general manager, who I will not name here, did none of what should have been done in the letter I received from Regal corporate. He was, sadly, quick to leverage the North Brunswick Police Department to prevent people from asking questions--the supervisor on the scene actively challenging people who persisted in asking the theater manager questions. This was AFTER making all of the theater patrons wait outside for an hour, giving no one information about what was going on or what would be done. In the end all we got was a coupon to come back at another time. We used it and finally got to watch the rest of the movie we started, but only after having to travel to the theater in the hopes there were seats--the coupons could NOT be used on the Regal app for advance purchases. read more

Nice theatre, but a little more expensive than the others in the area. The bright neon marquee makes me feel a little nostalgic, but the inside is definitely modern. Many foreign films play here, which definitely is a plus for people into Bollywood or other similar style of movies. read more

This has been our go-to cinema for a while, but the quality has gone down hill fast. For the past 4 or 5 films there has been no sound during the previews and/or start of the movie. Someone always has to leave the theater to ask for sound. The theaters are way too hot and they don't seem to care even when asked. You can't find any place to throw away your trash as all the trash cans are overflowing. And the women's bathroom, which has 1 soap dispenser, has had no soap for months. When I asked to speak to a manager about these things after the movie tonight I basically got the brush off and was told they would find someone to put soap in the restroom as he walked away. Not at all happy with the state of things at this Regal nor the treatment by this manager. We're now in the market for a new cinema to spend our money at, as this place will get no more of mine until they shape up. read more

I've been to this movie theater so many times through the years. It's been updated and cleaned up. Since theaters have the recliner seats now and cup holders, it doesn't fall into the sticky floor category. Lol. It has plenty of viewing screens so no worries on that. The lines move quite quick bc they know you want to go in to see the 20 minute preview of other movies to come. Unfortunately the snack line is always pain stakingly long. So better to get your snacks away ahead of movie time. Plenty of clean bathrooms, strategically close. They do have a small video game arcade for us. Nothing to write home about. For the most part it is clean and staff are friendly and courteous. It is a little more expensive than other movie theaters but I'm guessing bc of location. I visited this one only bc I had a free movie ticket and a gift card. I usually go to the one closer to my house, which is cheaper. Parking is usually an issue also, so make sure you get there early so you don't have to park in the middle of nowhere, I don't think it matters bc this parking lot while an obstacle course fills up really quick and not many people know how to drive. So beware of that All in all not a bad theater...so worth a check in.. read more

Lots of thug children and rowdy teenagers frequent this theater and on Friday nights they like to hang around outside. Thankfully the NBPD has a pretty regular presence here so nothing ever happens. If you go see an action movie or a comedy prepare yourself for plenty of "OH SNAP!!!!!" "OH NO YOU DI'NT" etc. Use the automated ticket machines if the counter lines are long UNLESS you want a student/special discount; you can only do that at the window. read more

This used to be my go-to movie theatre back in high school when they did not have recliner seats. Over the years it's definitely catching up to other theatres! SERVICE - Friendly staff. Definitely sign up for the Regal loyalty club (free to join) for points and goodies! PRICING - This theatre charges a bit more than AMC Starplex in East Brunswick but they do have bigger screens. FACILITY - Comfortable seating but instead of one whole connecting chair it has more of a foot rest (I prefer AMC Starplex in EB more). Most recently I went on a Tuesday evening and everything was clean. Good spacing in between rows that you don't see heads in front of you. FOOD - Good popcorn that's nice and salty, don't need extra butter. Can also ask for cups of water if you don't want soda. *Can get a FREE small popcorn by signing up for text alerts with Regal Crown Club now! read more

This theater is a bit further away but the theaters within a 7 mile radius of me are always sold out if you don't purchase a week in advance. It's surprising this one had lots of seats left for a movie that was sold out everywhere else. When we entered the theater, I knew why. Like most other theaters, this one had changed to reclining seats with a reservation system. However, the seats here are much closer together, doubling or even tripling the capacity level. Unlike the theater at the Brunswick Square mall, where seats are wide and spacious and you can barely tell there is someone sitting next to you, this theater's seats are a lot narrower and you are well aware that some is sitting next to you. Also, the seats at this theater do not recline as far back as the other theaters because of the depth spacing. The prices are a little higher than most. On the plus side, the seats feel a little cleaner than most places and we noticed they also offer RDX options. I won't be back here again unless we don't have a choice and the movie is sold out everywhere else again. read more

Came here to see star wars on Christmas day. The opening time of the theater said 11:30 online but they really didn't open their doors until 11:50, so as you can imagine, the line was building outside on a cold winter day. The theater is always kept clean and staff are always very friendly. Pricing has gone up since they renovated with recliner seating. But at least now, it's reserved seating and the theaters are less crowded. read more

The surround sound was so terrible making the experience for captain marvel not that great. We were barely able to hear the movie. 3. It's not a huge movie theater but clean and covers all the basics. Been coming here for ages. They've converted to the recline chairs which are very nice but obviously means fewer seats and you have to book in advance. If you show up just before showtime you'll likely be sitting in the first row and craning your neck so be warned! Oh and they've got the basic snacks and all and check your bag so it's hard to sneak in your own food! read more

My wife and I were seated in the first row all the way to the left and heard crackling coming out of the theater during the loudest action scenes of Wonder Woman. After bringing this to the attention of the Manager and that it negatively affected our viewing, he thanked us. After asking for reward or partial refund, the Manager said there was nothing he could do. After insisting and stating that we have lived across the street from this theater for 6 years and that this was our first complaint, he still said there was nothing he could do except tell his tech to fix the problem. Is this the kind of treatment Regal instills in Managers for loyal, local, long time customers that bring a technical problem to their attention? I did not raise my voice or cause a scene, whereas the Manager's handling of the situation was condescending and unprofessional. First of all, bundle up, your seated under huge fans and exhaust vents, it was easily 60° in there, and its warm out so you'll probably be under dressed Second, we sat in the dark, with just sound for a half hour, several patrons complained, then the second half hour was a continuous loop of visible previews and movie trivia, no sound.
