Caught a matinee ! The food was delicious, I was pleasantly surprised. Theater was clean. I just wish they made finding the parking lot much easier, it's a bit of a maze.

Clean theater with very comfortable seats! Dine in option to order food/ drink to your seats which is very cool. Someone next to me ordered a chicken sandwich which looked incredible and made me regret eating before I came. Now I know for next time!:) good graphics on movie screen.

I went there with my best friend. The movie played without interruptions, which was great. The staff was decent, though we didn't interact with them much. However, I wasn't impressed with the theater itself. The chairs were uncomfortable, and there was a weird smell that made me nauseous;I couldn't even order anything because of it (and no, I'm not pregnant). The trays were dirty and sticky, which makes me think they don't clean them after each showing. On the plus side, parking was easy and available, and the location is definitely convenient. I guess everyone has different standards, but would I recommend this place? Honestly, I'm not sure.

I've been coming to this theater since I was a kid like I remember watching Princess Diaries here and recently I came back to watch Wicked. Since I was a kid this theater did update into a dine in theater but I think it could use another update. When you first come in there's a self serve concession stand with a kiosk to order and then grab your popcorn or other items. I didn't anything but I would be concerned with other people coughing on the food before I went to grab it if I did. Then as you head to the back you can see they have a bar and then a handful of theaters. The seating in each theater is pretty much set up so that you'll be most comfortable if you go as a pair. For this movie, 3 of us went and our one friend felt really far from us since the seats and armrests are pretty large. The seats unfortunately don't recline and aren't heated but they're cozy. The number one thing that I didn't like was immediately after the movie they cut the lights all the way on so you couldn't really read the credits. Aside from the theater Wicked was an amazing movie. Definitely check it out!!

Made reservations on line! The Wizard of Oz is my all time favorite movie! Saw Wicked on broadway! Excited to see the movie! Absolutely loved it!!!! Comfortable seats!

Twister. And No-ONE sitting in my assigned seat.

I have had my 1 bad experience here. But since then, I have had good experiences. I am greeted politely and seem like the staff is more welcoming. The theater itself is clean, and the food is pretty good. My go-to movie snacks are the loaded tots, and Carmel popcorn.

Hard to see in a dark theater, but you can see the pretzel sticks that were cut up as per my review.

Let's start with I really debated for a long time what I would give this place. And this is one of a small percentage of 1 start reviews I've written. You may be asking yourself how does a movie theater get a one star review. Well I'm about to tell you. First, I am an a list member. So I can see three movies a week and pay a relatively inexpensive charge to do so. To be honest, it's not worth it. They're not three good movies that come out every week, nor do I have enough time to see that many movies. But I digress. This review is not about alist. This review is of the Menlo theater. We chose to come to the dining theater because we expected to dine in. The overall experience was lackluster. They were out of slushies which is usually concession. I get whenever I see them. Is it good for you and should I get it? Absolutely not. Do I care now? I love blue raspberry slushies and we'll typically only have them if I go to the movies. However, this time there were no slushies available. For food I ended up ordering the pretzel bites. Also thinking how can you mess up pretzel bites, and now I will tell you how. You take large thick pretzel sticks. Cut them into quarters and then cook them. You might be saying wow you are really nitpicking. However, the reason we eat pretzels over breadsticks is because of the outer crossed on a pretzel. When you take large pretzel sticks and cut them into quarters. You end up with one to two dry ends on every piece that are disgusting. Additionally, the cheese sauce, just one of the reasons why I like eating pencil bites because he doesn't like cheese. It definitely tasted like it outside in the crock pot for 3 days. The cheese was grainy, yes grainy. Think of how disgusting that is. And thinking well if you could just have some good mustard. Well back out screwed up too because instead of the traditional spicy brown mustard the pretzels are served with. They gave me honey mustard which when sitting in a dark theater and finding that out the hard way is absolutely disgusting. Then there was the drinks. Since they didn't have slushies and they did serve alcohol, I figured I would get something to drink, I originally was going to go with a draft beer. What was that informed? Due to renovations they have nothing on draft. Most they're mixed drinks or mixed with ginger ale which I don't like. So I decided to go with a RumChata to drink. When you're paying $17 for a drink, you expect it to be at least half decent or actually good for $17 and I only finished it because I spent $17 on it. If I'd spent maybe $3 less I would have left it after the first step because it was that bad. Well the movie couldn't be bad right? Experiences are pretty standardized across theater. You would think that the two major issues of the movie one you have to book your seats in advance, put your something I normally don't mind. However, it becomes problematic when you have a broken seat. Have you ever played one of those arcade games where you're driving one of those motorcycles and every time you move you feel like you may fall off. That was a parallel experience to my scene. It felt like it was attached to only one point, anytime I even made a micro movement the c word rock and go off balance. I would have just moved if it wasn't that there were people on the other side of my wife and no open seats ahead of us that I could see. The icing on the cake was around the end of the movie when it was a quiet suspenseful moment. You can hear the movie next door coming in ruining the ambience has some kids song could be heard through the wall. Now they are apparently renovating. However, patrons would likely be better served and just closing the doors and doing their renovations quickly then having this half-baked experience. Also they need to update their app and they need to act out broken seats. It's ridiculous to go into a movie picking a seat and then have that CP broken, especially when all the other seats can possibly be reserved and you can't just move. If this wasn't what my wife wanted to do for our anniversary, I would have likely walked out early on. However, I stayed with it to be a good sport, but the next time coming to a movie comes up, I will never come to the Menlo Mall theater

I don't think I can ever go back to a regular movie theater after experiencing the comfort of their recliner seats.

I ordered tickets online and discovered they have discounted tickets on Tuesday plus 50% off popcorn if you sign up for their loyalty club... which I did. If you buy online, you'll need to download the app. The app was actually very easy to use. The theatre itself was a bit tucked away but I eventually found the parking lot. There's ample parking and the building echoed times when movie theaters were bustling with visitors. It was a little run down and quiet and 2 people working concessions, 1 working as the ticket checker, and... that was it. There are a few claw machines and a motorcycle arcade game, plus a Photo Booth that didn't really work. Restrooms were decently clean... though there was one stall where the cover to the toilet paper dispenser had opened and the entire roll had tipped into a toilet bowl. There are about 15 screens there and - wow - I did not expect the size of those reclining chairs. Because they reclined, the aisles between each row are quite spacious. My kids are small and they were tiny in the seats, haha. Very comfy and though there were cracks in the seats, it didn't really have a negative impact on me. The theatre looked clean. For a first trip with my kids, it was a pretty good experience! I was terrified that the kids wouldn't sit still or would be loud, but it wasn't bad. It did help that there were only two other people on my row with the rest all crowded on another row. The ticket checker was pretty blasé if he wasn't checking tickets but the concession stand staff were pretty helpful and nice! No real complaints other than maybe have a step stool for kids to wash their hands a little easier. This is a good location for another movie outing!

The concessions are vital to a theater's resources and having many options is great. My only concerns have never been addressed by owners or management. The bathrooms in the lower section are tiny, dark and smelly, even at opening hour. The wait lines are long so you miss a lot mid-movie. The upper section has no bathrooms, but rather porta-potties, which aren't cleaned daily and are very dark at night. Another concern is projector brightness. Screen 1 has the brightest and largest screen and even dark themed movies are quite visible even in the rain. It helps that the projector is housed across the snack bar and very close to the screen. Screens 2 and 3 are projected from much farther away and into smaller screens. It seems that the projectors must be upgraded to liquid cooled laser projectors, whose brightness and clarity isn't affected with a proper lens. Instead in a dark themed movie, all one sees is only what is bright and so you're left guessing what's going on in the screen. This totally ruins the experience of going to the movies. There aren't many outdoor movie screens left and having the opportunity to enjoy one is an amazing experience. I truly hope and pray management addresses these issues, so that this establishment can continue to be enjoyed by generations upon generations!

They led us through the maze of metal barricades and cones to the viewing area, made sure we were parked appropriately on the lawn, good enough to view the screen perfectly straight on, and helped us to turn all of our lights off. When we weren't able to tune them all off while still listening to the movie audio on our radio, they came around and lent us a portable radio.
