Garbage theater, garbage management, garbage employees (some, not all), and garbage way to do business. Lines are super long and the employees act like they'd rather cut their own throats than spend thirty seconds with you. They aren't helpful AT ALL, and if you tell the manager, he absolutely could not care any less. Need a refill during the movie? You'll stand in line with people whose movies haven't started, yet. Problem in the theater? Good luck getting that handled. Seats are disgusting (there was actually popcorn kernels and oil all over one of ours), floors are gross, bathrooms need to be updated. And the clientele are some of the worst, at times. A guy and his wife were checking their phones through the entire movie, someone was talking through the movie, and if you complain, they may send someone in to check. But if the jacka's want to keep doing what they're doing, they keep doing it. Will be going to Porter Ranch or Woodland Hills, from now on. read more

The entrance to the theater is quite narrow and causes many problems for moviegoers. During the busiest of times, it is hard to get into theater. During my last visit, there was just one person checking tickets and took me five minutes just to gain entry. After narrowly getting through the ticket check you end up in the midst of two lines for concessions. Needless to say the line for the regular concession stand was incredibly long. It took 25 minutes to get popcorn and a drink. The floor of the drink section was filthy, the floor was soaked from ice and soda. The supply section was greasy and filled with trash. I've had a similar experience at this theater, two times prior and now feel the need to negatively review the heater. They need more staff to make the theater run smoothly. read more

I come to see movies here quite often. I am a Premiere Stubs Member. I came here on a Tuesday to watch a movie with my family. The line to buy tickets was all the way from the box office to the parking lot and then some. There were people lined up at the automated ticketing station to purchase tickets but only one of 3 or 4 machines was working. Apparently there was only 1 machine that had paper in it. That didn't help. Inside the box office there were only 2 people. I arrived 40-45 minutes before the movie was to begin. I didn't think that I'd be in line for almost an hour to buy 3 tickets. It was horrible. Some of the other people in line were with their friends. Those friends of theirs went upstairs to try and talk to the manager. They did, from what they reported back, but the management didn't seem like they were going to do anything about the problem. Tons of people got in line and tons left without their tickets. More got in line and it still hadn't really moved much. There is supposed to be a line dedicated to different levels of stubs members. In this situation, it didn't matter. It should have but it didn't. My hubby loves to go to the movies for concessions. After having stood almost an hour in line to get the tickets and already being minutes late into the movie, we thought that we might be able to quickly jump in and out of the line with a soda and popcorn. NOPE, wrong again. People were in line for concessions and the line was so long that people had to break the line and stand against the wall so that there was still a walk way for people to get through to get to their theater. Are you kidding me? I don't recall it ever being so busy like that, except on major movie release night events. That was nuts. Usually I don't have this kind of experience or so much trouble. I hope that it was a one time thing but it was still upsetting to not be able to fully enjoy our movie experience because management didn't seem to know how to delegate their employees to areas of immediate need. My date and I went to see a 9:15PM showing on a Wednesday night at theater 4 on 12/27/17. The ticket and food purchasing experience was fine, but the theater itself was filthy. I had candy on my assigned seat, crunchy things on the floor, and we needed to spend time cleaning the armrests before we could take a seat. I checked the row in-front and behind me - they were just as unkempt. The experience was somewhat disgusting. That place used to be my go-to for films and I admit that it had been a while since I'd been there. I'm hoping it was an isolated incident. This is an update to simply point out a few things. I was going to change my score down to 2 stars. Because the girl working in guest services didn't give a shit about her guests. Because after fighting with the machine downstairs to purchase tickets for 10 minutes and my movie starting and finally giving in and going upstairs to report the faulty machine and buy my tickets, the mediocre girl at guest services with no smile and barely a care in the world outside of exchanging looks with the ticket taker told me that I would have to go back downstairs and wait in the line to get tickets despite the machine being broken. Because I very specifically explained the issue and she proceeded to FLAT OUT LIE to me and say "our machine here is incapable of selling tickets", like what??? So I demanded her to get the manager and she proceeds to call him and once again lie by saying on the phone "he wants to buy tickets here cuz he doesn't want to wait in line". Hold the F up little girl... Then I demanded her to have him come down and personally talk to me. Then she threw a snarky "I thought you didn't want to be late for your movie" at me. At this point, I want her little care free a** fired. But I'm not gonna go there. The manager came out (Ivan) and after I explained to him that movies are magical sh*t, and she just ruined my experience, and what I expect in a movie going experience, he 100% agreed. He was extremely professional, heard me out completely, and explained to me that he expects the same that I do, and gave me a free pair of tickets to come back any time. He handled it exactly as I would expect a great manager to handle it. He also told me he would definitely re-train her in customer service. So while I originally was dropping their 4 star "which I wrote in 2010 when that snotty girl was probably 12", they regained a star thanks to Ivan's excellent management. As a side note, I fought hard for minimum wage to be raised to $15/hr because I believe people deserve a livable wage for hard work. And all work is hard work. But with that kind of wage, I also expect people who deserve it to be working the jobs. Don't get a job if you aren't ready to do it. I don't care what your damn job is, HAVE PRIDE IN YOUR WORK AS IT IS A DIRECT REFLECTION OF WHO YOU ARE, mediocre or otherwise. Thank you Ivan for being an example to that girl of what she SHOULD be. I have been going to tho this theaters for many years now. Due to COVID and my age, I wear a mask and neck gaiter for the double protection for being around people. When I got out of the bathroom after getting there, one of their personnel, possible their manager, told me that my double coverage is not good enough for them. I had to take off my protection and use their N-95 mask. I asked the guy if I can double up on mask and said I could wear my mask over that one and he said yes. If that wasn't bad enough, I thought they spaced out people in the theaters. Then why was someone sitting directly behind me? Do I feel safe without my extra layer of protection? Hell no!!! I put on my neck gaiter since this guy behind me sounded like he was eating, thus no mask. When I got out of the theater, I wanted to tell the manager about the seating arrangement. He wasn't there so I rather worn all you people of what to expect when you go here; possible COVID infection because I can't wear my extra layer of protection and they can't enforce the spacing in their theaters. read more

THE WORST. If you value your film-watching experience at all, avoid this dump. It's dirty and overrun by rowdy masses who ignore all movie-going etiquette, with management that refuses to step in. Expect glowing cellphones everywhere during your movie, teens giggling/yelling nonstop, and having the back of your seat kicked. Even after an entire row of babbling, seat-kicking prepubescent nightmares were told to shut up three times by ushers tonight, management STILL refused to kick them out. Saw 'It' in I-MAX and it was out-friggen-standing! We had so many screams because you can feel the bass in your chest. Anyways, the theater was super clean and the seats & floor weren't sticky at all. The associates were nice and got us where we needed to be. As usual, I have enough Diet Coke to choke a small horse so I had to use the facilities. To my surprise, they were very clean and almost sparkled. I do recommend that you pay a little more for the I-MAX experience if the movie warrants it. The experience is way better. You can park in the structure and if that's full, there's another structure on First & Orange. If that is full, then you have to swarm around to find a street spot. read more

I have the AMC A-Lister movie pass and frequent this theater as it is the closest one to me right now. I love watching movies so to be able to watch 12 movies a month for 20$ is a complete steal. But I do need to complain about the service, everything was fine until one of the workers came up to me and my cousin asking about our age since we didn't look our age to watch a certain movie. For the moment, this theater is closed due to the virus. But I've seen a lot of movies there, mainly because it's nearby. Overall picture quality and sound is pretty good. Seats in regular theaters are poor. Recliners are better. Pricing is hilarious and the concession loses a fortune due to the long lines and poor staffing. They don't do a great job of keeping the place clean, though it's not the worst I've seen. Family of three and expect a price of 70-75 bucks (or more) with snacks. Management is either under-equipped or they just can't do the job. Theaters like this are self destructive. This is why I installed a 125" 4K projection system in my home. read more

I love the fact that there's a bigger theater with recliner lazy boy chairs. However, it needs to be kept up. The chairs are now very worn, some torn. Cup holders are broken. I have informed management multiple times but on my recent visit last week the broken cup holders were not fixed. I imagine it will be costly to fix the chairs but AMC really needs to make that investment. They certainly charge extra for it! Management isn't doing a good job in keeping the theatre and the bathrooms clean. This is my home AMC and I would love to see it kept up. With that said, they have good variety of movies showing, 16 theaters and very well air conditioned in this excruciating summer heat. I'm so overly irritated at this theater. I live locally and I come to this theater all the time during week. I came at 10:30 am to get tickets for black panther at 7:20pm I showed up and 6:30 pm. As I tried to enter they told me I couldn't enter the theater for another 30 minutes!! This is crazy me and my girlfriend planned on buying drinks at bar and spending on meal and popcorn for ourself before the movie started. I talked to manager and he told me same thing. THIS IS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. How are we supposed to drink wait in line for snacks and use restroom before movie in 20 minutes on a Saturday night Mother's Day weekend. I don't know how a theater would deny us entry and loose money like that. I refunded my tickets and left also my gift card tickets where black tickets that never expire and they refunded me tickets that expire!! So I never write reviews on Yelp, but this I feel warrants some attention. I've gone to this theater for countless movies and have usually had a wonderful time. However in the last two months the management here has truly gone to shit. I've gotten settled into a movie only to have it ruined by a baby or someone on their phone. That's to be expected sometimes though, it's a movie theater. Par for the course. HOWEVER. The way the managers handle these situations is ridiculous. They never confront the actual disturber, and ask the customers AROUND them to tell them to quiet down. Or sometimes they say NOTHING AT ALL. I used to work in guest services, so I have had to be on the other end of calming the crowds and resolving issues. The way they handle rude moviegoers here though, is insanely idiotic.This has happened for the Aladdin opening weekend and also for Avengers Endgame. I cannot stress enough how much I used to love going to this place, but honestly this is no longer a "fluke" and has become a pattern. I'm 100% not going back. read more

You could take advantage of the variety of restaurants that you have to choose from while taking advantage of the parking either on San Fernando or Orange Grove. Went there new years day to see Molly Bloom. Bought ticks online' sent to phone and walked straight to door. They do not give you hard tickets if you have it on phone. Seats were comfy.. not lounge chair. Paid more than I would like but it was clean and convenient. Got to pick seats out online. I would only do it online. Lots of people at machines and lines. Parking at structure a pain. Look for other parking on street. Otherwise...pretty good read more

The projectors and sound is great, especially the Dolby Cinema, which has a giant screen, the largest out of any Dolby Cinema I go to (Woodland Hills and Century City AMCs) This is one of my top 3 favorite theaters in all of Southern California (and I have been to many) for seeing big blockbuster movies and I drive about 40 minutes to this AMC location. After having an issue with a projector for one showing, a manager for all the Burbank AMCs called me and quickly made things right. I'll be a customer for this theater for life as I have always had a good experience here. Parking in downtown Burbank is free which is amazing for a downtown :) read more

I usually don't like coming to this theater. It's usually crowded (tons of misbehaved bratty kids), expensive, freezing cold inside and parking can be a real hassle. What kept me coming to this theater specifically instead of the one down the street from my home is the quality concessions (TASTY NACHOS WITH REAL CHEESE) and bearable customer service. Unfortunately this recent visit will be my last. First off, the ticket clerk kept us waiting to check our tickets while she gossipped with another employee. Then once we got in and orderered our food the following were missing from BOTH ends of the concessions stands: NO ICE, NO BUTTER, MISSING CUPS AND CAPS, COLD AND STALE POPCORN. They put my chicken tenders in the wrong box (a pizza box) and forgot my ranch. More importantly I also noticed they substituted their REAL CHEESE NACHOS with cheap, watery baby vomit smelling fake "cheese". So disgusting I had to get a refund (during which the cashier admitted they'd been getting a lot of complaints from other customers on the poor quality "cheese") AMC needs to ditch the nasty cheese water and bring back the good stuff! I'm not coming here anymore to put up with all the B.S. and pay these prices to eat garbage when I can go somewhere much closer to home. Have movie pass? Read this! I was going to give this a three overall, but since I recently learned of the new FREE Stubz card I decided on four stars. The pros- if your phone is too old to get moviepass, like mine, the new free Stubz card has $5 2d movies all day on Tuesdays- you can upgrade to 3d or IMAX Tuesdays for a nominal fee that still makes it far less than normal non Stubz card prices. They said something about a free large popcorn in your birthday month and other concession discounts but I haven't checked into them yet. Because of our tight budget, I recently got to have an evening movie date night with hubby for the first time in a LONG time (usually do discounted early bird). So you can watch three movies on Tuesdays at any time for less than what two early bird any day tickets would cost. All you have to do is give your phone number (after signing up) to the ticket attendant. No physical free Stubz card to put on your keychain. Cons- plan your arrival time to this theater at least 30 minutes before your movie! Self-serve ticket kiosks often are out of order, which creates long lines at the working ones, so it seems easier just to stand in line. You might even get in line of a non-working kiosk, then keep changing till you get one that works- I've witnessed people (watching them from the regular line) do this on multiple occasions. It can take just as long as the regular line Also, although getting to reserve your seat is great, it makes the ticket line take longer because people (especially groups/families) take a while to decide where they all want to sit. Back to moviepass ....... Even if one or two people of your group have moviepass, it seems easier to all stay together in the regular line to try to all sit together, if that is your goal. Still, they can only process 1 movie pass card holder at a time. Additional moviepass holders or per-person/groups regular ticket purchases are processed seperately. So, say you have six total people, the first of your group who has moviepass, sees what appears to be a row with 8 empty seats, that you all agree on, and they choose one.... Perfect for your group of six, thinking you'll have an empty chair on either end to have a little space-not necessarily While your second through sixth persons are checking in with moviepass or paying individually, some of those "available" seats in the empty 8 could be snagged by other patrons getting tickets from a kiosk or another attendant- No reason to get bent out of shape, you're not supposed to talk during the film anyway, and you can meet up after But for those paying individually, might be best to let one person pay for all the non moviepass payers at once, and have cash on hand to reimburse them Just an FYI they can't guarantee blocking all of you together if they are separate transactions Last time we went on a Tuesday night we spent (literally, I timed it) 20 minutes in line, even with three ticket booths open (one devoted to serve fast pass/paid for Stubz line). Same on our last weekend early bird, but then there were fewer patrons but only two lines open. So plan your arrival accordingly, especially if you also want to purchase concessions. Ladies restroom- Over the past two months we've seen 4 or 5 movies here. From the first of those til last Tuesday, the same ladies rooms door locks are still broken, along with several motion censor sink faucets, and even at early birds you have to search for a soap dispenser that isn't empty. I just carry hand sanitizer. Pros- free parking garages everywhere!!! Best in my opinion is the mall on Magnolia/3rd - the little extra walking is great to stretch your legs before and after the wide aisles and stadium seating make it comfortable, even without reclining seats. At only 5'2" I can still see even if a tall person sits in front of/row below me Staff is ALWAYS polite and friendly Restrooms clean (despite non working aspects) They don't check your bags (snacks!) For night owls and younger folks there is a full bar in the lobby Lots and lots of food options within a 10 minute walk radius for before or after your movie- pretty much any kind of food you could want The promenade has quite a few benches and sitting areas to discuss movies, people watch, or check out locals trying to make some extra money by sharing their musical and or unusual talents read more

Lol what is the point of getting AMC PREMIUM MEMBER CARD and setting up a line for it when you don't follow it or care for your premium members. My boyfriend and I are standing in line for premium member, on the regular line, nobody was there, so basically were the only ones in line, and a couple came in line for the regular line, the guy in the cash register (snack cashier, with blonde long hair) called them first instead of calling us first. LOL I know its only a little thing, but what is the point of having a the premium line...really ? Do you guys only use it when its busy or what? But that shouldn't matter. We paid for the premium card and we look forward to be treated better. On top of that the seats that were sitting its dirty as hell. We chose the seats on the G row. This AMC is one of my favorite theatres to go to nearby. It is nearby a lot of ideal food spots, has a nice outdoor and interior layout for waiting and amenities. (Theatre food is always expensive, but the concessions area is laid out right as you walk in and the first thing you see before you turn left or right to your theaters) They have multiple types of theatres here - standard, 3D, and a special section just for IMAX. I regularly just watched standard, I get in and get out of the theatre with that normal experience, nothing fancy In terms of seating, they've recently added reserved seating. Ideally, when watching a movie on a non-peak day it doesn't matter, but when it's an opening night, this definitely saves a bunch of time and headache for seat finding. Also the seats have adjustable armrests (not all theaters have that, so that's important). Overally AMC, NEVER has dissapointed in terms of service, quality and viewing abilities for the movies they share P.S - if you don't have an AMC Stubs card, you need one for every single time you go here. The benefits are so helpful for discounted tickets, concessions, and news when your a member!. read more

I used to HATE AMC. It was the theater chain of my youth. I met my prom date there (she worked there). It had too many rules and too much bad food ("golden flavor" popcorn and all). But then it grew up, came up with a great selection of food and drink, BOOZE at a decent price, and very comfortable seats. The AMC of today is a very pleasant place to visit, and is my theater of choice. With the exception of 15 minutes of trailers (which my spouse likes and I don't), the theatergoing experience is exceptional, especially in the Prime and Dolby theaters. I love being able to book seats in advance, and the upstairs customer service staff has always been accommodating if I had special needs. Its the great booze and the seats and the quality sound that keeps me coming back. Keep up the good work! read more

Saw Blank Panther in Dolby Cinema .. fantastic picture... last Dolby Cinema I watched in Riverside had red lights on that washed out the screen. Here, there were no such lights and blacks were as black as one would expect from a laser projection.. Fantastic sound as well... would definitely come back again! read more

A good place to watch movies. Some of the theaters now have lazy chairs, which I love. Like any movie theater snacks and food can be expensive, but I am not going to deduct points for this, because any movie theater you go it is the same thing. There is lots to do in Burbank media center area...you can walk around outside, go to some restaurants or coffee shops or even do some shopping. Perfect place to go on a date as well. read more

So AMC here really LACKS treating people with Respect .. after this Punk spoke to me with that response , I was being nice saying we laughed wondering WHY no one was in The movie .. we were fine .. but we could not read the titles , nor we were told this as we purchased tickets .. but the so called supervisor had such a bad attitude that it set me off after that , even though he credited on the credit card , the purchase ... we were waiting for him to say here let me make up for this evening here's 2 tickets on us .. it wasn't about just getting the refund we had already got settled in with our treats & drive there , and parked & got in a movie that could NOT read the titles that were CUT OFF .. yet were being treated like it's our problem ... my friend kept saying look I looked up google and nothing was said of the sub titles !!! Yet the girl kept yelling as she was explaining and being so loud like everyone to hear .. she was embarrassing !! She wanted to keep showing us a paper that shows the movie has sub titles .. that's NOT how you handle this !!! WHY because they ALL LACK how to communicate , then the Daniel who wants to sweep it under & cut you off all because I said look my friend and I were talking privately and as we said the word A- hole to ourselves NOT to anyone .. just talking of how we felt privately .. the punk leans over a foot to say WHAT ??? I said I'm not talking to you !! But since you want to hear that then sure !! That shows right there !! Then as I was explaining the situation that took place , to Daniel he said WHAT ? , we don't say that here !!! Omg I didn't call him anything !!! we were talking privately waiting for you the manager & that's when your so called supervisor punk thinks he had to lean over to over hear what we were discussing.. that just told me ENOUGH that this pack of wolfs are so lacking any type of communication they should not be in the business ... this place needs to clean house !! Your a sad group !!! I hope corporate takes this seriously since this is not how you make people feel after working a long day & want to enjoy themselves.. it was the correct thing to do by refunding us , but NEVER could say look here's free 2 tickets to make up for tonight's loss !! That is how NORMAL things are handled !! This supervisor is being unkind & blurting out , YOU PICKED THE MOVIE !!! I really wanted to say WHAT PUNK !!! but I held back & then I felt like Ben Stiller in the seen when he's on the airplane and everyone turns on him !! We just wanted to be treated fairly but obviously that would be too easy !!! Then the little Punk leans over as we're having a PRIVATE conversation hearing me say what a A - hole !! He's such a opportunist that wanted to be like the VICTIM when he wasn't!! That's when I said there you have it !!! Then Daniel had to take it all and TWIST it up like I'm swearing when I'm fact I was explaining what his horrible supervisor was doing by leaning over as he's helping another couple .. that really shows this lack of maturity right there as he's helping a customer by leaning over to hear what we're saying and made it loud and clear before Daniel approached us .. what a total PUNK and unprofessional supervisor...CLEAN HOUSE FAST !!! read more
