Talking very loud like a film has not been playing. Just adults who don't know how to act in a theater. I have been threatened many times. My last time I filled AMC on everything in corporate. But they are only using AI now. I was going to try to get the manager someone cause the whole theater was screaming at kids who walked in 40 min into obsession. All of them high and everyone started yelling at them. I left and got body checked then threatened the whole way out to beat my a** and calling me gay hate names. The manager didn't do 1 thing but again just look confused. She could have walked them in like other theaters do. I mean DO NOT GO TO THIS THEATER. The amount of fights that are happening then they will use your A list member. I was the only one they had a name of. So I have horrific footage of it all. Which I will be posting on Reddit. Because people taking Children here. Think twice they will NOT PROTECT YOU THERE. I have seen so much in these last 4 months. Me & my partner & mother took a 3 week break. Hoping AMC would protect the people coming. Fights are happening 5 to 10 times a week. & it will only get worse & worse. You sadly can't trust AMC to protect you or your kids. Some of these people fighting is all they know. & if AMC did walk through this would happen far less. Called 5 different theaters & all of them do Walk throughs! Don't let film be ruined for you here. Just go Emagine Theater or Regal or the best DraftHouse. They have someone outside each theater. & if your late your not aloud in. That's sadly what has to happen because AMC only cares about trying to survive before they go completely bankrupt. But these smaller theaters Make Sure this does not happen. It's incredible the amount of people I have talked to who have told me insane stories about AMC Muncie. The theater is gone now Don't waste your time or energy. Going during the week won't even save you! Trust me!

If independent movies are you're thing, you've got to check it out. And if you already know about Cinema Center, but you haven't been lately, you've been missing out. They've hosted awesome movie events like Braineaters' Ball, a Hitchcock-themed Oscar Party, a Spinal Tap Party, a poetry reading for On the Road, a hot dog night with Bravas, and the Midnight Movie series. Want to watch a movie outside and eat a burger? They've got that, too. And, I'm pretty sure this is just the beginning of bigger and better things to come. Oh, and become a member! Rochester, Indiana's Times Cinema, now more often known as The Times Theater, was originally built…read morein 1923 and opened as a movie house known as the Char-Bell. It was built on the site of a former auto dealership with some of its bricks coming from a nearby demolished college. It started as a cinema for silent films, became a two-screen cinema, and throughout its history functioned in a variety of ways for the Rochester/Fulton County community including hosting of live events, movies, performances, and in many other capacities. It closed in 2014, however,by 2016 a movement began to re-open it as a sort of community hub. While there's still much restoration to go, thus the 4-star instead of the 5-star, this is my favorite kind of movie house space and it's even more delightful that The Native Nook is right next to it. In some ways, the space reminds me a lot of Indy's Emerson Theater, though I give a slight nod to the Times Theater in terms of the way it is being used and its overall potential. The Char-Bell name came from its original owners - Charles and Belle Krieghbaum. It was originally a 780-seat theater. In 1942, it came under new ownership and the name was changed to The Times Cinema. The cinema actually closed in 1973, however, it re-opened a year later with owners and in 1979 the cinema was split into two screens. In 1985, a fire damaged the cinema and it closed briefly. However, it was repaired and re-opened. It closed on January 1, 2014 due to the inability of the owners to afford the cost of switching to digital projection. Just today, the Times Theater is hosting a fundraiser as they continue to work on renovation and restoration. Currently billing itself as a "community and entertainment center," The Times Theater uses its marquee often for special events and community announcements. These days, it also is reminding me of Franklin's Artcraft Theatre. I've always loved spaces like The Times. Of course, it's kind of a fantasy to own an older theater one day. For now, I'll simply continue to support those who actually do. Here's to new life for The Times Theater in Rochester, Indiana!

They are tidy as far as trash goes. There's nothing lying around, but it needs a very good wipe down. This was my first time here and I was very surprised because I had heard good things. Actually, I'm not entirely sure that it has cooling, but the button switches from red (heated) to blue (not heated). They recline really far back but still allow ample space for others to pass by without you needing to shift your position very much. I was disappointed that the concessions menu is not shown on their website. They give a brief description of the type of things that they offer, but not the full menu or pricing. At the concession stand, you can order and receive certain items immediately (such as candy, popcorn, hot dogs, classic nachos and drinks) but other items (like pizza and the ultimate nachos) will be delivered to your seats. There is also a full bar with an option to order a drink for now and one for later that will be delivered to your seat at a later time. That's pretty cool. In the lobby area, there is a player piano, photo booth and claw machine that dispenses rubber ducks (like the ones that Jeep drivers exchange). The drink area is where you will find condiments, napkins and straws. They have sodas and slushies. They also have lap trays that you can place into the cup holders of your seats for your food orders. They sit kind of high, but it's better than not having any type of tray or table. The cuddle seats are cute little love seats with an ottoman, but they are positioned on the first row (being the least desirable seats in the theater). I tested one out and you would basically need to lay down the entire time in order to see the screen. I didn't reserve those on either visit, but if you bring a blanket and your boo, that could be nice. The hot dog that I ordered was spicy. I wasn't expecting that, but maybe I should've known based on the name listed on the menu. I just wasn't "in the know". The popcorn is freshly popped. We weren't huge fans of the pizza though. It could benefit from being baked a bit longer. Surround sound is good. Lighting/contrast was good. In my opinion, it was a little warm in the theater, which drew my attention to two tiny ceiling fans located on either side of the theater. I'm not sure what their purpose is because they couldn't possibly be there to cool that huge theater. If you run hot, bring a personal fan!

In the concession aspect, they offer different popcorn combos and seasonal specials, a variety of candy, dippin dots, pickles, flavored popcorn, and fountain & bottled beverages. Example of a combo would be - 2 medium drinks and a large popcorn (with up to four smaller bags of popcorn on the side) for $11.25 - what a steal. This movie theater also offers private parties (for a great price) where you can watch any of the movies playing, bring in a movie of your own, or even hook up game consoles and play video games on the big screen! Are you ready for this one? You can even host a SLEEPOVER at the cinema. That's right - a sleepover. The seat covering is falling apart. Honestly, it looks like shit. It's embarrassing and as long as it continues like this, it just goes to show that the company doesn't give a shit about the experience of being at the movies. I don't blame the employees here. I think they're generally great and I feel bad for them that this company doesn't care enough to fix things. If they fixed things here, it would be amazing. I'll keep reviewing it every time I come here. We will see how much it matters.
