I personally don't think that this place is awful like most of the reviews that have been left. The only reason I am giving this theatre a 3 star rating is because of the cleanliness. I think many more people would come to this theatre over the new if this one was just kept cleaner. This theatre offers more movies than the other two in town, as well as great pricing. Great Place to watch a movie! I have seen Dark Knight Rises and The Croods there now and it was awesome both times! Staff is friendly and are not sad to have their jobs. If you have kids they have a child snack package with small drink, fruit snacks, popcorn available which my son enjoys. They also have a little arcade area. The only thing I could say they could improve on is having two separate bathroom areas by the actual theatres and have them a little bigger. The bathrooms currently that I went into... for the guys... had 2 stalls and 1 urinal and thats in the theater area. The one up front had one stall and one urinal... seriously... lol... but all in all great place to see a movie. But bathrooms are always a make or break for me sometimes. read more

I'm so glad this Carmike finally took out those dirty seats. For the longest, those seats were covered in bodily fluid (if you know what I mean). After the upgrades, Carmike seem to really keep the theater clean and nice, We use to go to the movies every weekend and the place seem to slowly turn a little unwelcome. But since the minor renovations, we enjoy it a lot more. read more

This theater is in desperate need of a complete makeover. There's no signage outside. The bathrooms are small and falling apart. The theater is filthy. This is probably the worst AMC I've been to. With little choice for theaters in this area, I guess they can get away with it. I'm sure some competition would wake management up. I took my wife to Fast 7 tonight to celebrate her birthday. This is the second time we have been to this theater. We will not be going back. After spending $45 on tickets, popcorn, and drinks for two we walk into a theater that is so hot you can hardly breath. The movie was sold out so it only got hotter. The first movie we went to was Skyfall, and we had the same experience. I will not be taking my business back! We could have had an awesome dinner, and rented a Redbox to watch on my 4K HD TV and had a much better night! read more

We were not happy with our visit to this theater. Since changing ownership, the theater is just not as nice as it once was. The whole place seemed dirty. Trash cans were overflowing with trash. Popcorn was all over the floor. It just felt gross. read more

RATS!!!! And the manager tried to tell us it was dripping water! The workers cleaning the theatre before our movie ran out screaming about the rats. The theatre was disgusting since the workers ran out. Trash in cup holders and all under the seats. The lights flickered the whole time which concerned me because that's clearly an issue with safety. I talked to the manager before the movie about what we and other customers witnessed and he basically denied it. Never came to see the theatre or investigate what we were saying. We also looked behind the screen and saw for our selves rat droppings and the mess behind it. I know this can be a problem but to deny it and tell the customers they are wrong is not the way to handle it. read more

This movie theater continues to be the worst place to watch films. I live in New York and when I come home to visit family for the holidays, we like to go out and watch movies together. The last three times I came to town we go to Carmike/AMC, there have been problems with blurry screens or bad sound. We went and saw "Star Wars the Last Jedi" today and not only was the projection burry as hell, but it was also too dim. They would not fix it. The projection was also curved on the sides. Don't see stuff in Auditorium 7. They need to overhaul their projection equipment ASAP. It's sad that I would rather watch movies on my phone than at this place again. read more

I don't envy those who have to clean a theater. I imagine it's tough to keep clean. That being said, I can forgive it when your feet stick to the theater floors in spots. What I won't forgive is having my feet stick to the floor in the lobby... it was disgusting. I made the mistake of going to the bathroom as well. I would have been better off using an Exxon restroom in a bad part of town. They appear to have given up and I don't imagine they'll last much longer if this is the standard they've accepted. read more

Carmike Cinemas Wynnsong 16 is an incredibly nice theatre. I've visited the theatre with my family of 6 a few times, and there has always been plentiful, comfortable seating. The staff at this theatre is always cheerful, and they have some of the best popcorn I've ever tasted, made on site. The theatre could be cleaner, but I know it's rather old. A renovation may be in their sights sometime soon, but until then, even, it's a phenomenal theatre. read more

Bathroom had no toilet paper, multiple people standing around. Had to ask for a new bag of popcorn all pieces were broken same in the new bag. Garbage was overflowing before movie started. I find it hard to keep up with these basics tasks when they had multiple employees doing nothing at all. Will not be back. We pay too much to have a bad experience. read more

I used to love coming here, but now I'm disappointed with this place. We stood in line at concessions to buy our tickets. Lots of people were in line, but only 2 employees were actually working. Three of them were laughing and goofing off instead of helping get concessions. We overheard a guest complain to a manager-type person about a broken speaker in one of the theaters. When we made our way to our screen, turns out it was ours that had the broken speaker. Lots of people were sitting in there covering their ears hoping that it would be fixed in the next 5 minutes before the movie started. The complaining guy from earlier came back in, then left with his group. Another guy came in and, after talking to his friends, they all left. My husband decided to see what was going on. He came back and said that the technician hadn't called back so the speaker would not be fixed for the movie. We could wait for the next showing in an hour, or we could get a refund and hopefully catch the movie in Smyrna in 15 minutes. We opted for the refund. What amazed me was that, when we waited for our refund, they were still selling tickets to that screen...and not telling anyone about the broken speaker! We got our money back, and high-tailed it to Smyrna just in time for the first preview! Bad form, Carmike! read more

Worst theater ever. They always close one concession 15 mins before the prime time movies causing an incredibly long line and wait. They play more previews than any other area theater. It is in dire need of a remodel and update to today's standards. Murfreesboro is in desperate need of a non-carmine new theater to give it some competition. This is by far the worst movie theatre I have ever experienced. I have been here a handful of times over the years, as I travel here often, and it has not redeemed itself from making the transition from the Carmike to AMC...the concessions are lackluster with the popcorn often being bland, burnt or both. The theatre has not been updated and the screens have cracks or film doesn't even fill them. My family and I went here on a premier night for a movie and they put us in the smallest theatre they have. It was full to the brim and it would have been okay if it wasn't the last show of the night at 940pm...Ummm, okay. Tonight, we decided to give it another try as it is the ONLY theatre in town. It was crazy because it happens to be one of the busiest days of the year for the movie industry. I understand how this might put the employees on high alert as they try to work efficiently to get people through the doors and in their respective theatre. However, they did not have enough people working in the box office and a couple managers in the back just watching as the line continued to grow. There was a particular employee wearing a red sweater that was undeservedly rude. I saw him treat several customers with a curt, dismissive, and unhelpful attitude. I literally looked to my brother and said we better not get him and guess what...we were blessed with his line and history apparently repeats itself with this guy. We left as we didn't want to wait around for the next showing which would be a couple hours from the time we were there. Honestly, I'd go out of my way to Smyrna, Franklin, or even Nashville to see a movie. Customer service needs to be top priority and AMC has not delivered at this theatre. read more

This was a great cinema for the size of the theater. I am accustomed to going to theaters that are much larger when it comes to the amount of seats, but this theater was much smaller. It had a vast amount of rooms for the different movies that were available, but the rooms themselves were rather small. However, it was clean, the refreshments were fresh and delicious, and we enjoyed our experience here very much! Definitely wouldn't want to see a movie on a sold out night here just because of the lack of space in the theaters, but I love going to an afternoon movie anyway! read more

Popcorn was fresh and theater was clean. Maybe its been a while since I have been to the movies but last I went they didn't have seats that kind of rocked back so you can sit really comfortably. Everything about this theater needs improvement! It is very dirty and has an odd smell. The popcorn was very stale and burnt. I took our popcorn bucket back to ask for fresh popcorn, and the employee dumped it out and used the bucket as a scoop to refill it!! The popcorn scoop was sitting right there. I could not believe that someone would think it was sanitary to use the popcorn bucket that people sit on the ground to scoop up the popcorn. I have seen people put their buckets on the bathroom floor. This is a serious health safety issue! On top of all this, 2 drink machines were out of ice and 3 out of 4 were out of coke. read more

Great seating and clean! Our family enjoyed a 3D viewing of Inside Out. I wondered if I'd get motion sickness but to my pleasure I experienced nothing of the sort. Only drawback was the armrests can't be lifted to get closer to your special someone. Had a terrific time!! read more

This place is very poorly run. The bathrooms stink. Many lights were out in the lobby. The counter tops are dirty and sticky. Add to that the fact that they make you watch 25 minutes or advertisements AFTER the noted start time of the movie. Was pretty disappointed with the theater. I never get a date night with my husband but my parents were in so we snuck out to a movie while they watched our kid. The movie itself was good. But it was super disappointing to spend so much money on a ticket and the experience sucks. We got up to the line and spend to much money on a big pop corn, big drink, and a icee. Everyone likes movie theater snacks! I didn't even bring in any outside food or drink, I regret that decision. We waited in a long line for our drinks and the machines were out of almost everything! It's a 7pm movie on a Saturday, how are you so not prepared. There wasn't even regular coke. Super annoying since I just spent all that money on a large drink and now I have to choke down a dr. Pepper :( Now the icee was even more disappointing. The only flavor not out was coke but it was super runny. Would have been nice to know all those machines were out before I wasted my money. Then for the popcorn y'all don't even have any salt of flavors or anything to put on your pop corn?! At least there was a butter machines...So yea. Won't ever be back.
