I decided at the last minute to see a movie. It's been such a long time since I've been to one. It was easy to find, and there was so much parking out front. I purchased my ticket in advance with the AMC app and also bought my snacks in advance. When I walked in, I just got my digital ticket scanned and was directed to the concession stand for pickup order. Everything was ready, and it took less than 4 minutes from the time I entered to get my snacks. It wasn't busy at all. I'll be honest, I don't go to the movies often. I was in town visiting and we decided to see top gun. I'm glad they have stadium style seating so you neck isn't sore at the end of the movie. The seats seem a bit old and out of stuffing, but it was doable vs the other option in town where you have to look up the entire time. $5 for an afternoon movie is a steal. Also had a special for a $5 small popcorn with pop. Bathrooms seemed pretty clean as well. Staff was friendly. Would return. read more

The place is absolutely disgusting. I'm pretty sure this place doubles as a homeless shelter after closing the doors. The torch lounge is cleaner. The kids working here seemed nice enough but obviously complacent and inattentive in their duties. I'm honestly surprised AMC hasn't shut it down. The owners should be ashamed. There is a reason this is an AMC Classic. It reminds me off going to the movies in the 80's. I am a Stub Hub Premiere member and I am not excited about being here. The tickets are less than most AMC theatres but there is a reason why. The chairs in the theatre are stadium style but they do not recline. An economy airplane seat on a cheap airline would be more comfortable.Today there are many employees sitting around while the carpets are covered in popcorn and trash. The theatre we were in was a decent size. The screen was big enough to be immersed in the movie but the 3d glasses were kid size. The over all ambiance is old and dirty. If you want a step up from the cheap theatre but want to still go cheap... this is your place. read more

Nice movie house out on the south end of South Bend. With 16 screens this place is pretty large, can show many different movies at the same time, and has room for lots of viewers. This house still has the older but comfortable (albeit, non-reclining) cloth seating...they have not yet upgraded to the faux leather recliners that many movie facilities are going to...maybe someday. Lots of choices at the concession stand...serving the usuals. When you visit you feel like this facility was built in a day and age when a lot more people went to the movies. For example, there are extra concession stands along the corridors to the movie screens...and these are not being used; just the main concession stand in the main entrance is used. So this place must have been busier at one time...but for now it is a roomy theater house that works just fine. They have a large parking lot, so you won't have trouble finding a space. The neighborhood seems fine, so your car will be there when you get out. Their prices are pretty nice too. It is roughly across the street from a large Lowes store, so if you arrive early you can go over there and browse. Liked this AMC...we will be back. read more

They updated the screen where they showed the list of movies to small TV's that you can barely read from a distance. The theater that I was in had no lights on the stairs to illuminate them in the dark, which would have been a good thing to have. Both sets of men's bathrooms had only two working urinals. In one of the bathrooms, the floor was covered with some sort of liquid (not sure if it was water or something else) and not one worker in there cleaning it up. Went to get a water and once I was next in line, the guy looked at me and then walked away. If you want to go see a movie in the Mishawaka/South Bend area, I suggest going to Cinemark 14. They have recliners there and it's cheaper than AMC. read more

Movie theater is OK. Customer service is awful. I asked a kid behind the counter for a new cup at the end of the night because the one I had through the movie began to completely collapse on me. He said he wouldn't give me a new cup because they were closed and everything was locked up. You lock up Paper products? This kid was just a lazy twit and obviously doesn't care about his job or keeping it. He works in customer service for crying out loud. So of course, I go to turn out of the movie theater, and my drink spills everywhere, all over my car, because the flimsy crappy paper cup that was already wilting busted when I went to pick it up for a sip. The movie my son wanted to watch was playing the earliest at this theater. We paid for the premier line thinking it would be quicker. Disgusting. From the moment you walk in you can tell the employees do not care about how the theaters look. Dirty napkins, melted crushed candy, popcorn, and butter are caked on the torn seats and it'll take you a minute to find a seat that doesn't look like they pulled it out of a dumpster. I was stopped by the person at the front counter who asked to see my I.D. I asked for what? The attendant responded the movie is rated R. I spoke a few choice words and kept walking. I was reminded why I haven't been to that theater in 4 years. I'm a 48 year old black man who looks ever bit older than 17 years of age. Another attendant yelled she's only doing her job? Went there to see The Rise of Skywalker. The website advertises recliners and when we got there found out they weren't. The carpets were dirty, worn and threadbare. There was built up grime on the seats and someone had spilled a pop on the bathroom floor making it sticky. read more

I love the movies and this is probably my favorite theater in south bend but I have to say that lately the quality has been slipping. There are never enough people working!!! The wait times to get tickets are ridiculous with generally only 2 people manning the registers on a busy Saturday afternoon. Getting concessions takes forever as well. Again, it's a staffing problem. I would give more stars if they weren't so slow or have too little people working. UPDATE: we FINALLY got into our theater after waiting in line 15 minutes and there were no seats for our family. They were nice enough to let us see the movie in 3D, but this was our daughters first trip to the theater. It is very disappointing so far. read more

Love this theater. It is 50 cents more expensive I believe per person than the other theaters in the area, however, they use the STUBS reward cards here. If you frequent the movies a lot and buy pop corn etc, then it is worth your while to get one of these cards. After you accumulate a $100 in tickets/concession purchases, they give you 10 dollars on your stub card to use for concession or tickets. This place is always clean and the temperature in the actual cinema is usually perfect no matter what season you visit to view your shows. read more

Had to talk to the concessions worker for 5 minutes to find something to eat my final choices were popcorn on mottserella sticks. The bathrooms were the filthiest I've ever seen plastic over all the urinals the floor looked like people were using it as a stool I had to scrub my shoes the next day to get the urine smell out of them. Have not joined the other pay-service so can't say what that is about, but I can manage without $10 pop and pop corn so don't care. This is your basic theater built in the last 10 or so years. It does not pack a lot of frills. It is simple and to the point. It has your standard concession options at normal inflated movie prices. The seats are pretty good. They have really high backs. Which is great for taller people like myself. The seats are also pretty comfortable. I do not really have any serious complaints about the place. What kept it from a fourth star was that it does not have any wow factors. It is pretty basic. My other concern was that when we went into the theater there was a cop car parked out front, and when we left there was a different cop car parked out front. We were just inspiring web-slingers with a dream to watch Tom Holland kick butt in Spider-Man: Far from Home for our first movie premiere. Much to our surprise, after buying tickets over a week ago, we were locked outside, dressed in full Spider-Man garb, without a worker insight on the inside. Through the glass door we could see the showtime corresponding to our tickets clearly posted above the theater gate but no one insight to let us in. AMC failed us again. This was just another disappointing movie experience from a theatre that has caused us trouble in the past because of their policy of not letting kids under the age of 17 see movies after 9pm. But this is a new low: not being open to honor $13 tickets (including a fandango conviene fee) for a movie premiere that we had proof of purchase for. AMC 16 offers a solid movie experience when you are actually permitted to see the movie you came fir but too often I have been turned away at the door to be left frustrated and confused. read more

READ THIS! Normally I would rate this as a great theater, but something happened yesterday that made me lose all respect. My husband and I joined the Stubs rewards deal barely a year ago. About a month ago, the gentleman behind the ticket counter asked us if we wanted to renew our Stubs card because it would be up in about two months. We said, "No thanks, not right now." Last night, we went to the ticket counter to get our tickets for "James Bond". A different gentleman (he was working on November 9, 2012, about 8:10 PM on the left side), asked us if we wanted to renew our stubs card. We said, "No, not right now." Then he said, "Are you sure?" We said we were sure. Then he kept pushing and added, "Are you positive?" then he looked at the screen and added, "Because you only have 4 or 5 days left before it expires." I looked at my husband in shock, and I said, "I thought we still had a few weeks left." The gentleman answered, "Nope, only 4 or 5 days." Anyway, we still said no. Today, my husband checked our Stubs account online and we still had 21 DAYS LEFT. The gentleman behind the counter had LIED to us to try to get us to pay for a renewal. Either the employees get a reward or some special bonus for getting people to renew/sign up for the Stubs, or the AMC company instructs them to scare people into renewing their cards. I am very, very disappointed. My husband and I do not have a lot of money, and yes, even a $10.00 renewal is a lot. We planned on saving our accrued $10 on the card for "Twilight". If we would have believed this young man, we would have lost our free $10 for a ticket and in the end, would have had to pay for the "Twilight" ticket we were saving for. Before renewing, CHECK YOUR ACCOUNT!!!!!!! I hope so badly the manager reads this. I wonder how many people have been duped into unnecessarily renewing their cards, losing credit/money in the process? Because of this, I will NOT renew my card now. read more
