I love that they offer 20% off matinee even for online ticket purchases. I came in to watch a film at 2pm and while there was no signage, I did eventually realize I needed to order outside the theater for it to be delivered to my seat. Past movie theater experiences I've pushed a button on my seat, so surprise there, but my bacon chicken Mac and cheese was delish! (Even if it wasn't delivered with cutlery that I had to go get) The theater, including the bathroom, were clean and well stocked. This is not my usual theatre that I visit, but I wanted to come check them out for half price Wednesdays for STUBS members. Plus, I had a free large popcorn for my birthday. When I arrived, there were plenty of parking spaces even though they were busy. The perk here is that you can order your food from a menu with a variety of options and they take it to your seat. We passed on this option since we ate lunch prior to coming and were there for the popcorn. I just ordered it at the bar. Weird right? LOL, but that's how it works and then you step to the right and another person will hand you your order. In my case, they had popped a lot of popcorn and there were buckets readily available to grab and go which was perfect since I didn't want to be late. The self-serve soda machine was awesome! The theatre is really small. It will be a short walk to see your movie. It felt cozy though. The seats did not recline and the popcorn was ultra salty, but when I refilled it, it was much better. Overall, I had a pleasant movie experience. I will definitely return and started to think that this theatre has probably been around a long time. Nostalgic for some, I would guess. Seats are comfortable for them not being recliners. Audio and screen were pretty fair for it not being in imax. I got an early viewing ticket which saved 20% but there was still a $2 service charge to book the ticket via the app. Unfortunately when I decided to visit the popcorn machine was broken, so it was quite unfortunate, nothing to snack on during the movie. My husband recently became an AMC A-List member and can see up to 3 movies a week. This is our closest AMC so we are there a lot. Pros: you can book seats pretty close to the start time (as long as it's not a brand new release) and they are always popping fresh popcorn. I've never experienced it being extremely busy with long lines. The food is all self-order from kiosks. You can order beer/wine/cocktails to take into the theater. Cons: the women's restroom isn't very clean and some stalls have broken doors (off the hinges) and the hot food is pretty expensive. In some theaters you can also hear/feel sounds from the next theater over. (We were watching Wonka and heard a lot of explosions presumably from Aquaman). Walk up to the counter... order food and drinks from their pretty extensive menu... and your grub is delivered to your seat. They have sandwiches, salads, burgers, chicken tender, etc. Along with pretzels, nachos, mozzarella sticks, popcorn and candy, and lots more! They also have mixed drinks (limit 2) and sodas. We had the chicken tender platter which was big enough for two, and we didn't even finish it! Good portions, but the food is mediocre. And of course I ate too much popcorn! The service was fast and friendly...we were told if we wanted anything else to just ask! We came for a matinee, and got out Senior discount so that's a plus for getting old! Lol ;-) We ordered our tickets online which was a breeze. Comfy theater, but it's odd when we walked in theater 8, you have to walk around in front of the screen because the front row is blocked off on one side. The other issue is there's only one restroom for 8 theaters. Huge lines! Add more restrooms! A few upgrades and this could easily be competition for Cinebistro. I came for the eras tour movie. The seats don't recline and there's one cup holder per seat. When we were there for concessions you had to use a kiosk to place your order then serve yourself. It felt very impersonal. Also, some people around us were having trouble and there was no one around to help so we all banded together. Given other options for dine in movies in the area I wouldn't choose this location. The selection of food at your seat isn't as diverse, seats aren't as comfortable, not as fancy. It was good just to go see a movie and get some popcorn, but didn't feel like as much of a special experience as the other local option. read more

I hate that this is the closest dine in movie to me. This place continues to go downhill although they did do some renovations in the front. They continue to not offer the ability to order from your seat. They give you the food and drinks on paper and in plastic-cheapening the experience as they raise their prices. They had one bartender who was also taking orders and a barely functioning card machine. I got the henny berry bramble I usually get. Two at once actually because they're so good... well not this time. The drink was absolutely disgusting. I hate coconut and that's what it tasted like. I went to take one of them back and ask if he perhaps made the wrong drink and the bartender stated he didn't. I asked if he wanted to taste what he made-ya know with a stirrer- because it's nothing like what I usually get. He refused and told me it's unsanitary to drink after customers and I totally agree. I brought the drink I had not tasted because I ordered two of the same thing. He offered no type of solution to this disgusting drink he made which we had 4 of in total. His attitude and the drink left a really bad taste in my mouth. There's no tray at my seat so that was fun. The chicken tender platter had the smallest pieces of chicken I've seen in a while. The bacon cheese fries were a small portion this visit and lacked the normal amount of cheese. This experience was bad and really tainted date night. read more

I will never in this lifetime ever go to an AMC movie theater just based on the one in Midlothian and also corporate. They wonder why the movie business is dying when nobody ever answers the phone at the AMC in Midlothian and that also goes for corporate I've emailed and emailed seven or eight times with never response. There's no phone number I wanted to see the Premier stand that comes out August 7 And for over three weeks. I've been trying to get a hold of somebody to see if tickets we're gonna go on sale at the Midlothian location, they went on sale in Hampton Virginia, but never posted anything in Midlothian. Corporate never answered me and it's really sad because I just moved to the area From the West Coast and CUSTOMER SERVICE isn't like this. I know sometime in a day somebody can pick up a phone I've tried 9 o'clock in the morning 10 o'clock in the morning 11 o'clock in the morning. I know they're not busy on a Monday Tuesday Wednesday. I've tried 11 o'clock at night. I've tried all hours of the day but it's the MOVIE THEATRE doesn't get back to you. Why wouldn't corporate get back to you? Don't be surprised if this place will be in Bankruptcy and you'll be reading about it. I've been here a few times and I can officially say it's a nice set up, due to COVID you have to grab your own popcorn from the popcorn area so that's not delivered to you which is fine, I actually like having control over how much butter I drench on my popcorn lol. It's not the cleanest of theaters but the self service of choosing your food and drinks on the screen and paying there when you first come in is convenient, and then they bring it to you. The servers are not as attentive as other dine in theatres I've been to, at one point I actually had to knock on the kitchen door just to get someone's attention for a side of ranch, since no one ever came back to check on us. All in all I love any place that will serve food to me in the movie theatre that whole concept can do no wrong in my book. This theatre is not the fanciest, but it's a good time and they have a large menu, so you can get a variety of different food items which I love! read more

I have always given this theater the. E edit of the doubt. But really it is horribly managed. Went tonight. Long lines for everything. Bad service. Confused waiters. Theater wasn't even cleaned between movies filled with others trash. Sound was horrible. No surround sound and very low volume. Compared to explosions could be heard in movie next door because ours you could hear the air conditioning running over the movie. Note. I complained to waiters twice about the sound outside the auditorium. There were no managers to be seen. They did nothing for the issue. The entire experience soured me on going to the movies. Honestly I couldn't care less that the popcorn machine has been broken for over a week. But I had already prepaid and they wouldn't let me swap it for anything else they asked the manager what we could do and he couldn't even be bothered to round the corner or offer a solution. The chairs are comfy which is the only reason it doesn't get 1 star. The theaters is not well kept. The parking lot was gross - & the only spot left we got consisted of smooshed oranges covered with june beetles. Inside just gives you that ick feeling. The bathroom was unreal. This is absolutely my new favorite movie theatre. Its a little further away from my house, but well worth the drive. They have a better set up than the Cinebistro in Stony Point. With this place, they have computers set up to order your food on the way in and they will deliver it to your seat shortly after. The seating was also a bonus because you choose your assigned seats when you pay for your tickets, and they are pretty wide comfy seats so you can really relax during the movie. Each seat has its own table to eat your food on and of course a cup holder as well. My only negative this day was that they forgot to deliver my drink . I ordered a ice tea in a bottle (which was available on the screen when I ordered). I brought it to the girls attention when she delivered my food, she said she would go get it and bring it back, but she never did. Unfortunately, this caued me to have to miss part of the movie to go out and get my drink. When I went to the counter, the girls seemed confused that I was asking for a tea in a bottle - even though it was on the screen when I ordered it - that was so strange to me. She went in the back and came up with a humongous sweet tea in a cup that was good, but borderline diabetes in a cup. lol.. did I drink it.. absolutely because sweet tea should be super sweet in the south. Went to see the Eras movie (again) at this theater. First time here. Person scanning ticket was very nice and explained how everything worked. Orders on kiosk, got the merchandise and went to our seats. Food came out quickly and was hot. Chicken fingers were great! Order was correct. Bathroom had a toilet missing a seat (not good for women) but everything else was great. Would definitely come back. read more

I didn't realize the theater had changed since I'd last been. Their menu selection is quite nice for a movie venue, as is the full bar! I don't know how much time is allotted between movies but our seats had a few kernels of popcorn left in them. I like that you choose your seat. I recommend choosing the seat an hour or more prior to the movie and then coming back nearer the movie start time. That way you can reserve the best seat in your opinion. So sad. This used to be our go to theater. Unfortunately its gone way down hill since AMC took it over. Cleaning doesnt seem to be important. The food comes out cold and with subpar substitutions. Mozzarella stick replaced with french fries and onion rings replaced with tatertots. None of which is disclosed when you order. The big sample(thats not that big) is 16 dollars. Im ok with paying theater prices if Im getting what Im ordering. Paper straws for a 2 1/2 hour movie? They dont last 30 minutes. Im over it. We have kept coming back with the hope that they qould get things under control but it just keeps getting worse. Good bye AMC, what made you special is no longer the case. There are 4 other theaters you are competing with in a 20 mile radius. Do better or you will be closing. This is a Saturday and there is only 4 people in a new release. This movie theater has gone downhill. My boyfriend and I went last night to watch Plane and the movie was great, but everything else, not so much. We shared the theater with 3 other guests. When we walked in the audio was on, but the projector wasn't. We told the server it wasn't on and she said she would tell someone to fix it. After waiting awhile we saw another guest go out to notify of the projector still not being on. We could hear the previews, but couldn't see them. Eventually we hear the movie start, but we still didn't have anything to view because it still wasn't turned on. I got tired of waiting and we were obviously missing the movie so I went out to notify someone and so did the 4 other people in the theater. It took all 4 of us to get up and notify someone numerous times for the movie to be played on the screen. I've never had such an awful experience at the movies and the workers seemed to not care. The customer service was non existent. Not even a "sorry", about the issue. Also, the food wasn't great either. I got the ranch burger and it was over salted and I didn't even finish it. I used to go to this movie theater a lot when it first opened and it was great. I would avoid this place if you're looking to have a pleasant movie experience. read more

First time at this theater to see a 3 hour movie, so wanted a theater with more comfortable chairs and good snacks. The actual building looks older, but inside is pretty updated with a bar and front counter area where you place an order for food and drinks. The theater's chairs are pleather and most are very cracked. Chairs also have a table, cupholder, and a small light (but all our lights were broken). The women's' bathroom in this theater was absolutely atrocious. There was vomit on the floor directly outside the entrance that was covered in powder of some kind, and a "wet floor sign" places over it. It was carpet. Inside the bathroom was completely littered with trash in every stall and walkway. And after the THREE HOUR movie. The vomit was still there, untouched. I will likely not return to this dine-in theater because of lack of pride or cleanliness. There are multiple others dine-ins within our area read more

Fries were good....but the chicken sandwich was overdone. Food is way over priced and there aren't any servers in the theater and hardly any other employees around to answer questions. Second time here, a little surprised that they have been bought out by a new owner, this place is now called "AMC dine-in" and their menu is entirely different. The concept is still the same with buying tickets online and reserving seats. The food was a bit pricey (which wasn't expected on the new menu), I noticed there wasn't much of a selection of food, but they did have a variety to choose from that they didn't have from the old menu: such as Teriyaki steak, sushi (yes sushi), and so forth. The tater tots was pretty good! The server was okay, a little slow when we asked for utensils. If you're looking for a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy a movie and food, this is it. They still get 4 stars because this place is amazing! I don't want to see a movie anywhere but here. Highly recommend trying this place out! read more

I had not been to the movies since the pandemic. I suffer from anxiety issues when in large closed in crowded places now. I decided to come here at the first showing with my 2 yr old grandbaby. Man... this place has hit rock bottom. What happened? No ticket booths, no signage to explain what to-do, no one to help you with directions, the bar is now a fold up table with drinks on it, could not order from my chair like previously.. food was luke warm.. i was highly disappointed! read more

But I can't let them get away with how hot that theater was Tuesday, when I went to see The Woman King, I felt like I was in the movie it was so hot in that theater for 2+ hours. Never having been to a Carmike Theater before, I was interested in seeing how it was different than the typical Regal Cinemas I'm familiar with. When my fiancee's friends invited us along to see Frozen: Sing-Along here, we definitely jumped on the offer. --Prices: As other people have mentioned, the prices are low compared to other theaters. I feel that the movie we went to was considered some sort of super saver matinee, and I think it was under $15 for both of our tickets combined. Concession prices were still comparable to other theaters, but I think everyone is going to be used to that by now. --Staff: The man at the concession stand wasn't overly friendly but wasn't abrasively rude either. Ultimately though, we received our popcorn and candy without any problems, so whatever. There was a dapper looking fellow dressed in a suit that was walking around the interior that seemed very cheery. In my imagination, I like to think of him as the owner or supervisor, because he had a friendly personality. --Concession: The normal spread of candy, but they had some cheddar popcorn and I believe a caramel kind too along with the traditional butter. We stuck with the normal butter without extra butter and it was tasty. --Movie Experience: To reiterate other's reviews, the theater isn't new or modern. It wasn't quite as run down as some reviews seem to imply, it's just not new and sparkly. The seats were comfortable enough, but if the theater were more packed and if tall people were in front of us, viewing may have been difficult. There weren't too many people though, so it was great. Also, there are some two people seats! Like cushiony benches. There was only one in our theater, but it existed all the same! Not sure if it is intended for more comfort for larger patrons or couples, but it was neat. The actual quality of the movie was good and the audio sufficiently loud. I believe it was digital. I'm not sure as to the other details, but I had no quality problems. --Parking: Parking was real easy. Large parking lot right outside the door. No problems there. --Do you want to build a snowman? No? Okay, bye. --Overall: I don't really know how to rate theaters. The overall experience was good and I had no real complaints. The prices were cheaper than Regal theaters and it didn't seem crowded despite being a weekend with some popular movies being shown in opening weeks. I absolutely loved this theater. The dine-in menu is extensive with all kinds of meal foods and drinks and the theater environment so spacious and comfortable that it really is a unique experience compared to other theaters and even other AMCs. The seats are gigantic 'couch-seats' and have two rotatable tables that allow you to truly 'dine-in'. It's the only AMC, or theater or the dine-in variety I believe, in the RVA area and really easy to access off the main state highways by Midlothian. The staff were exceptionally friendly, efficient, and accurate, and the parking lot enormous. An incredible experience! read more

Overall experience with this place is average. We've come here on several occasion to watch a movie and we get here 30 minutes early so we can have time to order food and drinks and the theater isn't even ready yet. So during the previews waiters are walking around taking orders and When the movie starts they are delivering your food. It's very disorganized and several times they brought is the wrong food.
