Recliner chairs!!
Natalie G.

Every theater here has reclining seats!! So comfortable and nice to watch a movie in. They allow all ages which is nice compared to some of the other theaters that have reclining seats. It can get cold so bring a warm jacket or blanket! You can pre-purchase your tickets through the app and online which I highly suggest since it's reserved seating and the good seats fill up fast!

One of my favorite theaters! I've frequented this location since I was a teenager and love that years ago they got the recliners making the experience even more delightful! I love going to the movies and always have a pleasant time here. Service is hit or miss but with touch screen ticket purchasing I don't really have to interact much with the employees lol. I've had a recent experience where the employees forgot to close the door so during the movie the bathroom hand dryers and toilet flushes could be heard so I got up and just closed the door myself to enjoy the movie... Movie seats are always clean. Large bathrooms with plenty of stalls. Nice large movie screens with comfy recliner seats. Would recommend this location as it's always a fun experience!

Movie theater popcorn!!

AMC in Factoria is absolutely, hands down, the BEST movie theatre around. We love how clean the theatre is, how clean the restrooms are and we love how friendly the staff are. We have tried going to the competitor, but it doesn't even compare. The chairs are extremely comfortable and I love that ALL of the screens have the reclining chairs. Amazing theatre! Would highly recommend.

I've gone to this theater multiple times with ticket vouchers. I do like to come here but my last experience bothered me as there were two employees watching football openly and playing games on their phone. When I've used my ticket vouchers before, I go to the customer service desk and they help me by scanning my vouchers and allowing me to choose my seats. But I told him I have vouchers and he points me right away to the screens to do it myself, which required me to type 28 digits per voucher, which I had 3. I usually have no problem doing things via screen with no human interaction, but it bothered me that I was doing more work than the people here getting paid to watch football in-front of all staff and customers

Large Popcorn

The theatre seat is very comfortable. This location has an electric vehicle charger. The concession service was good.

We've been coming here for years, and service has been consistently the same. We love the reclining seats. The theaters are always clean. Everything is perfect. We recently went to see the new Eras Movie/concert and really enjoy ourselves! Lots of parking all around the theater and easy access from factoria blvd. Traffic can be very heavy so plan your visit if you're coming during a weekday evening!

Clean theater. Good sound. Easy parking. Popcorn could have been hotter. Friendly and helpful personnel. Theater could have been a bit warmer.

No it's a standard theater...but you could always sneak some in ;)

Do they serve alcohol?

They don't. Head over to the new one in the U-district for that.

What rows/seat numbers would provide the best seats for optimal viewing? Thanks!

Middle of the middle.

If tickets are purchased online, how do rated R movies woke? Do they check your ID as you walk in?

Usually they don't

The original cinema was Lincoln Square Cinemas that they took over, which is a decent traditional multiplex with an IMAX screen and chairs arranged in stadium seating that actually lean back a bit. The lobby is open and has lots of room for displays promoting other films. On the left hall, the rows of screens is quite expansive which could make for quite a walk to the bathroom or to get concessions and bring them back. It might not be a bad thing to have some of them renovated to be like their Totem Lake location. The Cinemark Reserve is a whole other thing, and truth be told really deserves a separate Yelp entry. It is meant to be a premium experience. Like the iPic in Redmond it is an electroncially reclined seat with seat warmer and a table for a meal with waiter service. It's 21+ only and they serve alcohol. The finishes on the walls are slightly more premium but not too much above and beyond their newer Totem Lake location. There is a big lobby area for concessions but a lot of the walk-up food service areas have fallen into disuse after covid. Cost-cutting wise they're really pushing kiosk ticket buying, which is fine, but yesterday the printers weren't working, so the kiosks could take your credit card payment and then leave you with nothing. When they radioed for the manager it probably took half an hour for the manager to show up. I noticed the cost cutting at the original cinema too as the one person that could sell you a ticket is also the person who checks you in on entry. That being said, there really isn't an alternative to watch the latest blockbuster or buzzy indy/foreign film in the West Bellevue area than here and they do their reasonable best to ensure a good experience.

My son-in-law treated me (along with my daughter) to a 18:30 show of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba - The Movie: Infinity Castle (the first movie in a planned trilogy). Spurged for a large popcorn ($11.99). There were plenty of trailers before the movie, though there must not have been enough future movies for the in-seat audience: played the one for Wuthering Heights (2026), convincing me to think we were in the wrong theater. The seats were plush, wide, and reclining, making me wish all movie theater seats were like this. It was a long movie (2h 35m), but went by quickly, in part to the theater.

Also the generally friendly staff. And the Crown Club "super saver" benefit that gives us half price soda and popcorn. Go here mostly for the Monday Mystery Movies but occasionally other shows. The presentations are usually good. The concessions can vary, sometimes the popcorn is the little tiny crumbs but more often is full sized and fluffy. Good selection of candy, but the other hot food like dogs and nachos are not good, and you have to wait too long.

From what we've tried on the menu, I can recommend the quesadilla, the mac n cheese, the grilled cheese, and the fried chicken. The fries are really good. I've tried several cocktails and the mule is one of my favorites. The servers have always been really pleasant. One time a drink was not delivered that I had ordered but they didn't charge me for it without me having to ask. This movie venue isn't cheap. Tickets are $20 and the food menu isn't discount. The food is pretty good, and when I compare to what I'd pay for dinner and a movie elsewhere, IPIC comes out in that range. Note that they do add an automatic 18% service charge to the bill which isn't boldly stated. I was glad I saw that in another review and thought to look for it myself. The screen and sound are good. In the lobby and waiting area is a lot of fun with the lounge chairs and pool tables. Parking is validated up to three hours. Easy validation with them. My only complaint is that I wish they offered more vegan or at least one full vegan entree. Not many people are going to the movies these days and here's an easy idea to change that maybe offer a vegan dish on the menu.. I was creative and got a pizza with no cheese. so vegetable pizza which was dough , red sauce and veggies. Some might find this surprising, but it was actually pretty good. Alternatively, I think they have burgers with cheese that you could substitute for black bean patty no cheese but again why can't they just make one dish on the menu that's exclusively for vegan diets instead of forcing people to do all these modifications?! no one likes modifications.

Even during the homeless days with the Capitol Hill and U District tweens with patchwork jackets and dogs mobbing around in packs this theatre was in good condition. I have over 20 years of memories coming here watching indie movies like Pirana, docuseries to Siff films. I also watched plenty of blockbuster films. My fondest memory is the smell of the popcorn that fills the front space. It is so distinct and the melted butter and grease on my fingers rubbed on my movie ticket is nostalgic. I love the indie vibe of the workers. It was a polite Seattle cool, depending on the era a little emo and punk, with some grunge. The attitude was very U District. I hope this theatre can raise the funds to fix itself up. It is one of my favorites and I hope it doesn't get boarded up. It still has so much life left.

At this point it felt like it's mostly dependent on personal preference so I decided to go in and find out. I thought the place is decent. The biggest attraction is that tickets are probably the cheapest in the area. Regular ticket price is around $16 for Seattle but it's $10 at Varsity (as of December 2023). And you get a dollar off if you're a student. Also you don't even have to buy the student tickets in person because you could just order them online (other places like AMC downtown, you have to go in person). I made sure to bring my student ID in case if they want to check, but it was never checked onsite. I think it's a little more shabby than AMC and other more commercial theaters, but it does its job. The movie started on time and there were no issue throughout the movie. I wish they could just shut off the ads before the screen turns on at starting time because you're facing a blue screen that shows nothing while the ad is blasting. On the other hand, I liked that there aren't that many previews to watch through to get to the actual movie I came to see. The bathroom is two flights up the stairs from the ground floor. It's well kept and smells ok, but they probably have to check the toilet paper inventory more often. By the time I went in, there were no toilet paper left at all so I didn't forget to inform the staff that before leaving. The staff was polite and accepted my remarks in good spirit.
