I signed up right away to the drive-in site for future events notification. We are familiar in the area so getting to the drive-in is not a hassle at all. There are friendly staff members who guided the movie goers for effective parking and pleasurable viewing. The movie theater location is in the New York Hall of Science parking lot and the screen is fronting a good view of Terrace on the Park. The adaptable comfort zone is clean, convenient and follows Covid protocol. Luckily, we received a complimentary snack box courtesy of Apple TV+. The film is a free event too. Let's support the cause of this drive -in theater. It gives pleasure two ways.

LOL. To have one right in our borough, in our very crowded city, is such a treat. And it was all free. The second time we went we even got free treats left on our windshield. The staff was amazing. They led us through the maze of metal barricades and cones to the viewing area, made sure we were parked appropriately on the lawn, good enough to view the screen perfectly straight on, and helped us to turn all of our lights off. When we weren't able to tune them all off while still listening to the movie audio on our radio, they came around and lent us a portable radio. That way we could turn the car completely off and listen to the movie audio from their borrowed radio. There was also a food stand, but we had dinner beforehand and brought our own snacks, so we didn't order from them. All in all, a pretty awesome experience for the whole family. Transfer to the E or F train, go the entire length of the Q46 bus, walk a mile in the cold, then see the Bruce movie in a theater in a basement of an apartment complex. It's the day after Thanksgiving, but we have to leave soon since it's only playing at 5. Sounds simple, right? The North Shore Towers Cinema is so obscure that I never went there during my Queens years. But that the glorious era of the Utopia and Bayside theaters before AMC destroyed the locals, prior to suffering its own injuries in streaming times. (No I didn't consume chocolate egg creams on Ave. U and never saw the Brooklyn Dodgers but I do miss the old bagel place on Union Tpke.) I did check the theater out once to see Richard Gere's Time Out Of Mind. The frequent chatter was above Times Square levels. Yeah, I could have asked for a refund but I was here because it wasn't playing anywhere else. This time, the noise wasn't non-zero but it was far better than before. And after a hallway here and an elevator there, you may be surprised by this giant single-screen theater. Important for a movie about Springsteen, there was very good sound quality too, (minor spoiler ahead) helping to delineate the difference between an amateurish home recording and a rousing rehearsal of Born in the USA. The staff was friendly. Full disclosure/geography note: I am a public-transit advocate but it was a bit more convenient on a winter day to take Lyft from Little Neck. Express buses run to North Shore Towers but that only helps from Midtown. I have no insight about the on-site restaurants. There's nothing else in the immediate vicinity but if you're up for 29-minute walks or Lyft there are good options on Union Tpke., Northern Blvd. and Hillside Ave.

Another thing that never happens is the purposeful adoption of arthouse programming for the same. It would be an unmitigated risk, unless you have a captive audience of people who enjoy good movies in comfortable surroundings, who respect other patrons and staff, and who don't wanna trash the theater...which describes North Shore Towers. Antoine L. is right about the takeover from Cinema Arts Centre, and as a premier arthouse cinema on Long Island, you really couldn't ask for a better development. Let's review: Malverne Cinema, gone; Manhasset Cinema now shows films like Kung Fu Panda 4; and, Cinema Arts Centre (in Huntington), god bless them, isn't located in Nassau County (and North Shore Towers is in Queens). Currently, there is only one arthouse venue in Nassau: Bellmore Movies, which is also a single-screen theater. Hopefully, the machinations behind Malverne's nonprofit initiative will come true, then we'll have two venues (it should be remembered that we're not getting new arthouse cinemas, we're just trying to keep or replace the ones we had). It's not enough to be an "independent" theater, a lot of independent theaters screen nothing but junk. The apparent miracle of North Shore Towers Cinema may be a unique situation, but it is much needed. It makes me wonder if the only problem with their previous model was that they weren't all-in on arthouse films, so I really hope this expansion of Cinema Arts Centre is successful. Maybe I miss the old popcorn machine in the lobby, but I'm not complaining. I just wanna watch good films.

Bathrooms are always well maintained and clean (the larger one) with good quality toilet paper and toilet seat covers.

I came here on Friday to see the new Ralph Fiennes film that no other theater in NY was playing! Very easy to get to. The Kew Gardens LIRR stop is right across the street. Several buses stop in the area. Along with the F and E trains. Its a very old school cinema. The prices reflect that as well. For a 2 PM Friday showing I only paid $10. That's a steal. You can either buy tickets at the concessions stand or just scan your ticket from Fandango, etc. at the concessions stand and they'll print out your ticket. You really don't need it, though. The bathrooms are to the left when you come in. Lots of stalls with a long mirror across the entire wall. Everything was fairly clean and tidy. There's also a little area before the bathroom where you can sit and wait if you're early. I was in auditorium 5 the last time I was here. Which is on the second floor. The size of the theaters are on the smaller size, but not cramped. The seats are outdated and a bit flimsy, but not uncomfortable. They don't show millions of adverts and previews like other places do. The screens expand before the movie starts. Good sound and picture. The entire place is decorated with a vintage vibe. I love it. Everyone was friendly and they dont search your purses like other places do. I will definitely be back!

It's now one of the few remaining independent movie houses from the 30s and 40s on the main street in Long Island. It was originally a single screen theater, but in February 1980 it was turned into a three screen theater. But the art deco style façade and curved marquee remain. Clearview ran it until April 2019. A new operator opened it in April 2019. Closed for the shutdown in March 2020 reopened in May 2021. This is a very impressive Theatre from when you first walk in the front doors. You'll see a few chandeliers upon entering with an old style ticket booth to the right side but that's covered up now and you buy tickets at the concession stand. Another very nice chandelier by the concession stand Tuesday night, which is bargain night $5.00 for a ticket. The young lady and the other woman were very friendly. They offer alcoholic beverages, as well as regular soda and water. I bought my ticket for the movie. MASTERO. Got a large popcorn and a large drink. I went into one of the two theaters that are downstairs theater one. Nice comfortable leather seats 191 seats in theater one. The other theater downstairs similar number of seats. The theater upstairs is where the balcony used to be when it was a it was a single screen theater. Another nice chandelier as you are walking up the stairs to the theater. This theater is spacious also with 160 seats the largest screen out of the three theaters. But the ones downstairs are a very nice size. The projection was clear the sound very good from the speakers on the wall and behind the screen. Good attendance for a Tuesday night the popcorn was delicious. I'd highly recommend going to this theater. I think one of the nicest of the ones left on Long Island right on a main street in a downtown. Definitely more enjoyable than going to one of the big guys those multiplexes. The prices are better for the tickets and the concessions are delicious and good choices of candy soda, and some alcoholic beverages. Parking is a bit tough in Manhasset. No dedicated parking lot for the theater. I did park down a side street where they said 90 minute parking from 9 AM to 7 PM so get there early to try to get a parking spot. The only other parking spots are meters that you have to use coins for, the meter maid did tell me in the parking for Walgreens lot a little bit away from the theater that after 3 PM the guard from Walgreens leaves so you can park there without any trouble according to him. Again, definitely go to this theater. Nice neon marquee outside very clean and inside. Impressive with the Chandeliers and they even had a cool looking old-fashioned water fountain. Nice sized theaters with large screens and very comfortable seats with a good slope in each of the three theaters so you'll have no problem if there's someone sitting in front of you.

They add butter on for you, only the XL size have free refills, no burgers/ hotdogs/ pretzel bites, stuff like that but yet they have alcoholic beverages. The Sprite had no taste- it was like sparkling water, switched it to lemonade & it was worse- it tasted old & expired with an aftertaste, trash it goes. Hubby bought a bucket of popcorn because he loves movie theater popcorn. We usually "share" but it was way too salty for me. I know I have less tolerance for salt than most but I still thought it was too much salt, even for the average person. We had tickets to the IMAX 3D, we have not seen a 3D movie in a while and truth be told, the movie we saw wasn't elevated because of the 3D, I would not have been happy if I had paid for that upgrade. I guess that is more of a review on the movie than the theater. The one complaint I do have is that apparently the IMAX theaters do not have reclining seats. Instead, the seats rock back-and-forth unless you are in the last row of the bottom section which leans against the rail, then it doesn't move at all. The seats did look new, which was nice since we were used to going to the theaters at the Broadway mall before they shut down. I guess that's why they never invested in upkeep of the seats. All in all, I gave four stars because they were open on a day where everyone else had a snow day, the theater was clean, and the seats felt new. Hubby and I may have to start coming here now, especially since the theater at the Broadway mall is now closed. Just wish the popcorn was less salty...

Great comfy stadium seating but... Went to see Marty Supreme…read moreyesterday afternoon. Theater 8 was blowing cold air. It was 29 degrees outside and we were wearing our coats, hoods and gloves. Missed 15 minutes of the movie to find the manager and asked him why the heat was not turned on, really? Also requested 2 free passes for my inconvenience. Last week we saw another movie there, also cold in the theater with alternating a/c and heat going on. More bearable but still annoying. There are 3 more months of winter and I am questioning going back to this theater until April. I am calling the main Regal customer service number tomorrow to complain.

There's bathrooms right on the rooftop and also in the lobby and there's also a water refill in the lobby. The ticket is also a bit overpriced ~$30, but I went there for an event before the movie, otherwise, I would probably not go back. Nice experience and would've given in a five if everything wasn't so expensive.
