I caught the 10:40pm showing of The Odyssey at Regal Westbury IMAX & RPX located at 7000 Brush Hollow Rd, Westbury, NY 11590 on Monday, August 3rd. It is a good sized parking lot, but you may need to go a little further if there are a lot of cars. I purchased my tickets in advance through the Regal website and it was fairly easy to use. The IMAX theater, which is theater 2, is a great size, but the seats do not recline. The movie was amazing and the sound and picture quality was very good. read more

We have not been to this theater in years even though we see it each time we go to BJ's. Grateful it was open even after the major storm yesterday. Yes the theater was empty so that was nice for us. Hubby bought a bucket of popcorn because he loves movie theater popcorn. We usually "share" but it was way too salty for me. I know I have less tolerance for salt than most but I still thought it was too much salt, even for the average person. We had tickets to the IMAX 3D, we have not seen a 3D movie in a while and truth be told, the movie we saw wasn't elevated because of the 3D, I would not have been happy if I had paid for that upgrade. I guess that is more of a review on the movie than the theater. The one complaint I do have is that apparently the IMAX theaters do not have reclining seats. Instead, the seats rock back-and-forth unless you are in the last row of the bottom section which leans against the rail, then it doesn't move at all. The seats did look new, which was nice since we were used to going to the theaters at the Broadway mall before they shut down. I guess that's why they never invested in upkeep of the seats. All in all, I gave four stars because they were open on a day where everyone else had a snow day, the theater was clean, and the seats felt new. Very nice theater. Went to see Marty Supreme. I loved the popcorn with extra butter, there was no rancid smell in the butter. Also not too oily tasting. They also gave a huge drink (Pepsi). Both popcorn and coke were Good for sharing for two. It was a bit pricy though like $10 for the drink and like $20 for the popcorn. Great comfy stadium seating but... Went to see Marty Supreme yesterday afternoon. Theater 8 was blowing cold air. It was 29 degrees outside and we were wearing our coats, hoods and gloves. Missed 15 minutes of the movie to find the manager and asked him why the heat was not turned on, really? Also requested 2 free passes for my inconvenience. Last week we saw another movie there, also cold in the theater with alternating a/c and heat going on. More bearable but still annoying. There are 3 more months of winter and I am questioning going back to this theater until April. I am calling the main Regal customer service number tomorrow to complain. read more

The theater is conveniently located & there's parking of course. The theater itself was fine, although there were a lot of ads & previews before the movie. My only complaint is unfortunately the biggest one, which is the bathrooms were dirty. Went here to see the Demon Slayer movie recently and I must say the floors were sticky. Eww! The movie was scheduled to start @10:40pm the movie did not begin until 11:20 or 11:30pm and that was after some people had to go to the front and complain. We went to watch Deadpool Vs Wolverine. I simply like this spot due to that it's kind of hidden and not overly crowded. Also like the fact that BJ's is across the street so we can get to do a bit of shopping afterwards. Overall the movie experience was good. I don't go to the movies much these days because there's not many that are worth the price of admission. This theater happens to be neat and clean with plenty of parking in which the lot is fairly well lit. The concession stand prices are literally criminal. For what they charge for a couple of popcorns and sodas you can probably enjoy a full meal at a decent restaurant. But that's not just this theater, that's all of them, but I digress. If you happen to want to take your family out to the movies, this isn't a bad place at all. Most recently, I paid more than $40 for a matinee showing of Thunderbolts, a popcorn, and a soda. A group of special needs people came in to the theater; one sat in the same aisle I did. His caretaker immediately fired up her cell phone. Regal, ostensibly, does not allow cell phone usage during screenings. During the overlong preshow advertisement parade, Regal broadcasts multiple admonishments regarding the usage of cell phones. I politely asked the woman to turn off her cell phone. She said no. I was incredulous, but not willing to spend the entire movie staring peripherally at the glare from her cell phone. I spoke to the manager, and he addressed my issue without addressing THE ISSUE. Regal doesn't practice what it preaches and it will do nothing about the disrupting influence of cell phones. read more

They had zero toilet paper in the bathroom and when asked for it the girl had a look like we were bothering her, we go to leave and see a car who left lights on so we went back to tell them with the license plate number.,now the manager said that they couldn't do anything. I'm gIving them a solid 3.5 stars. I happen to be out in Long Island, came to see Bad Boys For Life with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. Actually one of the better theaters I've been to in the last year or two. PROS: Great movie, nice theater overall, clean bathrooms, friendly staff, and plenty of parking. CONS: Every theatre I've been too lately from Manhattan to Long Island has popcorn all over thee carpet. I don't know why it's so hard to clean up. Regal needs to offer more healthy choices in their menu. The only thing I could find that was somewhat healthy was popcorn with no butter and water. Nothing else which is sad, no wonder to be blunt there were so many unhealthy looking customers waiting at the snack counters. I recently visited Regal again after refusing to spend my money at the local AMC theaters due to their broken reclining chairs and unsanitary conditions. This theater has been a favorite of mine since I was in high school. It's 15 minutes from home and worth it. The theaters offer large stadium seating with plenty of recliners. The seats here are not as plush as AMC but THEY WORKit gets the job done. Because it is a stadium theater every seat is a great seat in the house. Last night I went to see The Kitchen and practically had the theater to myself. There are no long concert lines and the $7 Tuesday deal is awesome. I visited today with my 8 year old and there was practically no one at the 5:00 p.m. showing of IT. No seat is a bad seat here and the leg room and space between the declining chairs makes for a comfortable and enjoyable show. Still my favorite theatre. All the employees are friendly and helpful here. The Asian guy who is a usher was extremely helpful and made it clear that he wants each guest to enjoy the movie with a clean theatre. It was spic and span Mr. Clean in there. I won't be going back to AMC ever again. read more

The cinema has a huge parking lot and every time o am going there, there are not many people, which is excellent. Some of the seats are broken, but those that work are super comfortable; the popcorn is tasty, and I never get butter, so it is crunchy and delicious. People are accommodating and polite. Super comfortable seats, mega wide screen, great choices to chow down and even funky games dot the lobby I mean this is an entertainment center. Plus the kids who work the concessions are super cute and nice! It smells like pop corn and fun as soon as you walk in. Clean bathrooms, great handicap seating and cushy seats with high backs so you get a clear view is screen. I really liked that I can reserve my seat a priori on fandango or the regal crown app. They have this very cool candy machine (see my photo) that as a sugar addict found very hard to not be mesmerized. $5 gets you heaven in the shake is skittles or m&ms or any colorful candy you can imagine. OK, let's get one thing out of the way first: RPX is a hoax If you've never seen a movie in RPX, you're missing nothing, as there's absolutely ZERO justification for the extra $3-$4 over a regular ticket. RPX theaters allegedly provide a "premium experience" over their regular counterparts, but after seeing The Wolf of Wall Street there, we were both unconvinced. If I'm gonna spend close to $20 per ticket, you'd better believe next time I'm gonna go see it in 3D or IMAX...not RPX. Despite this rant, I can't hold the whole RPX scam against the employees here - it's not like they came up with the idea and actually have a choice as to whether or not they force-feed the upsell to innocent customers. All I can say is don't pay for it, and you'll be just fine. This location has stadium seating, and ALL the theaters here are clean with comfortable seats and good sightlines. The employees here are very friendly and accommodating - when I noticed an ad in the bathroom guaranteeing the RPX experience to be the "best ever, or your next movie is on us," I went straight to the customer service desk and he happily gave us an extra set of tickets for a return visit....thanks! read more

This theater has been close to my movie-filled heart for quite some time. Friday night was just another quality film experience that can be filed in with the rest. Westbury Stadium 12 always had beautiful theaters and seating, making the movie experience that much more memorable. Coming here years ago, I used to feel like watching something on opening night was an event. Maybe not a Hollywood/red carpet kind of deal, but enough to heighten the sense of the night. This still usually holds true today. With the changing of technology and comfort, this theater has bought in to it all with reserved reclining seats, an IMAX theater (though it's not true IMAX like you might find in the city), and an RPX theater, which is their own spin on IMAX (though not really impressive/worth the extra dough). With all that, it can occasionally be tough to score tickets without grabbing them a few hours (or even days) in advance. Luckily for us, we did just that for our Friday night viewing of Dr. Strange (3D IMAX). I love movies (almost more than food *gasp*), and from that I don't always need all that extra glitz Westbury throws into their theater experience. That being said, when you shell out the extra cash like I did, it can often be worth it. Seating was superb, sound was crisp, and the picture quality was stellar. It all came together to create a memorable movie-watching moment. Overall, Westbury Stadium 12 gets the job done in delivering a wonderful movie-going experience. Depending on what your viewing, it can all be a bit over the top, but for the most part, you'll feel like you're experiencing something a little more than just some moving pictures on a screen. read more

Horrible customer service. I purchased tickets for Oppenheimer and Barbie for 7/22. Once I hit purchase, the email confirmation and the webpage screen image and ticket hard copy printout did not match, having different times. Seeing the mistaken webpage and printout, I hit cancel, which states I will get later confirmation of cancellation. Then I got email with the tickets with the times I had originally chosen. And there is no one to clear up discrepancy. Or, state which tickets I got or were all tickets canceled. Every call to Regal Westbury is just recorded messages followed by a hang-up. National website which the Regal Westbury recordings refer you to has no phone number or way to confirm the tickets. I sent an email to the national company. But, no information given when there will be a response. May be I will withdraw or change review if someone actually gets back to me. read more

Decent theater go visit. We purchased tickets online through their app which was very easy. They give perks for joining and different rewards. This time it was credits towards merchandise but we weren't interested and only purchased the movie tickets. There was no line at 10:20 on a Friday night. They scanned our tickets through the app and we went to our theater and assigned seats. The theater was clean and the movie wasn't sold out so there was plenty of space around us. The seats are comfortable recliners. Overall a great experience and I would definitely go back if in the area. read more

This theater is great, clean, big high quality screens, lots of rooms, and also lots of parking. However the parking lot is atrocious on a weekend night so plan accordingly to get to the theater early enough. For being such a big movie house is does get really crowded, and I have to voice a problem I have with the ticket booths. When you walk in on a busy night you are crammed into a small lobby. There are ticket counters on both the left and right sides but the lines from both sides sort of mash into a third line in the middle for people who preordered their tickets and are picking them up at the machine in the center. It is a bit of a headache and people do get testy but at least the lines moved along and you're bottlenecked when you hand your ticket in to be ripped. I'd also like to commend them for being very accommodating to needs. My friend got very sick early into the movie and had to leave and she was able to get her ticket completely refunded which was great. read more

My first and last time coming here! The seats were comfortable and its a decent size location. However the theater rooms and bathrooms are small. The bathrooms only have 3 stalls in them which is annoying because you know ladies take forever and the line is out the door. The crazy small space is annoying because the ladies bathroom is so close to the men's bathroom! I was so motivated to go into the men's bathroom!! They need bigger bathrooms and theater rooms with reclining chairs! Also the people kept talking during the movie was super annoying!! read more
