1 person at the counter selling tickets. Over 45 people in line. Ridiculous!
    Nancy S.

THE WORST AMC. EVER. HORRIBLE. I rarely give a 1-star review on Yelp. This is the worst AMC movie theater around. It's horrible. Long, long slow lines with usually only 1 employee selling tickets. The employee is responsible for going between the VIP AMC members to the non-AMC member window. Management here sucks. It's non-existent. My review is based on coming here 3 different times to see a matinee movie. My advice: Go to another AMC movie theater. Don't patronize this AMC. OR buy your ticket on line and pay ridiculous extra fees. However, if you don't mind waiting in a long line that barely moves, making you miss 10 or 15 minutes of the start of a movie -- this might be YOUR favorite AMC. We always arrive 1 hour before the start time of a movie. Still, arriving 1 hour early is a waste of time. Also, if they are scheduled to open at 10 a.m. on weekends this AMC IS ALWAYS LATE opening on time. The movie theater has 2 kiosk machines for customers to purchase tickets with a debit or credit card. THEY DON'T WORK! They NEVER do. These 2 kiosk machines are merely there for decorative purposes. WTF! Why have these machines if they NEVER EVER work?!?!?!!! If you decide to go to this AMC be prepared to wait a long time in line. Be prepared to miss a portion of your movie. Be prepared for non-existent customer service. Be prepared for non-existent management. Be prepared to become frustrated or angry. Be prepared to get stressed out. Yes, if you don't mind getting frustrated, upset, stressed out, standing in a super long line that barely moves, missing the first 10 minutes of your movie, dealing with non-existent management that sucks, this may become your favorite AMC theater. Maybe sneaking in a flask of wine will help calm your nerves and decrease your stress or frustration. LOL AFTER our 3rd time here we decided NEVER to return. I'm surprised this AMC has 3 stars on Yelp. Maybe these people were drunk or high on something when they gave this particular AMC more than 1 star. If I could rate this AMC with a ZERO, I would. This is definitely the worst AMC in Chicago!

Even though this location doesn't have the fancy schmancy reclining seats, I give it 5 stars because of the price alone. What can beat a $6 price to go to the movies for a regular price adult admission??!! Its clean and the seats are still pretty comfy. The location might turn off some of the more "boogee-er" folks as its on the outskirts of the "hood", but I haven't come across any issues and I've been coming here for years. Both during matinee hours and at night. This place is A-OK in my book!

    $4.95 for a movie

Clean bathrooms! Info desk employee Micheal is usually inhospitable which can sour the fun our family expects for a cinema outing.

Great neighborhood theater. Always clean. Workers friendly also. I went to see House Party which was wack but the experience was great.

I saw that the Tribune criticized OPFT's take for being too heavy on the comedy and light on the romance. I disagree; I thought that the emphasis on the comedy was a huge plus. Malvolio stole the show with Toby and Sir Andrew as great comedic support. Olivia's flip-flopping was also well executed for some good fun. The Fool had to compete hard for laughs.... I was delighted to find that this production had even our kids (11-13) laughing like crazy. This is excellent accessible Shakespeare in the park that is great for the whole family. Tickets for kids under 12 are just $5.

Why isn't there more outdoor theatre in the Chicago area? I mean, to some extent I get it (here in…read more2022, my car was dappled in slush and snow on April 8), but really this should be a bigger thing. As I think of it the only real options for this are Theatre on the Lake, occasionally when there's a Shakes in the park sort of thing happening, and Oak Park Festival Theatre in Oak Park. The work done by this company is really high quality, so you'll definitely get your money's worth and enjoy the performance if you enjoy the play. I came here in 2016 to see Pygmalion after a few years of saying I should go and then not doing so. OPFT has an illustrious history: The theatre was established in 1975 and has included such notable thespians (of course unknown at the time) as David Mamet as William H. Macy. Unfortunately, in November 2021 there was a fire that destroyed much of their equipment, historical documents, and I'm hopeful their fundraising efforts will prepare them to mount a new season this or next summer! Austin Gardens is in downtown Oak Park Parking is found on surrounding streets, or in the village parking lot (free after 6 pm). Accessibility is a bit harder to measure. It's a park, so it is as accessible as any park, but depending upon the type of accommodation you need, your mobility, etc. it may vary how accessible it is for an individual. They don't have wheelchairs or anything for patron use as far as I know, and as a park it may be difficult to hear at times. Alternatively, both the Green Line and the UP-W Metra line are within 3-5 blocks of the park, so that's a great choice for transportation, too. There are restaurants nearby, or for an even more fun option, bring your dinner to picnic before and during the play. Just don't disrupt your fellow patrons (so that means if you have things in wrapping and what not, maybe wrap in cloth or something that's not going to make a bunch of noise as you open it!).

Cinemas Entertainment 10 is never too crowded nor too expensive compared to other cinemas that I have visited in the past. In fact, if you visit before the evening hours its a lot cheaper compared to visiting in the evening. Take note of that because depending on your age group it's a one to three dollar difference if you choose to watch your movie before the evening. As I share this review, I have only been to Cinemas Entertainment 10 only two times, which was to see movies 'Black Panther' and 'Avengers: Infinity War' on separate occasions. I have to say that my only complaints are the advertisements of movies that are currently out, which it's best to 'Google' Cinemas Entertainment 10 versus relying on their social media sites Facebook & Twitter because both are not up kept. I will let that one slide, and hope that a young social media savvy adult takes that position to keep us movie enthusiasts up-to-date. However, if you are interested on deals and what Cinemas Entertainment 10 has to offer visit their website. In closing I say that I'm still new to 'Cinemas Entertainment 10', and as the time goes on I will share more pictures and insight on things that I encounter, and I hope this review helps. Thomas G
