This place is crazy!! First of all, great location. Grapevine Mills alone is a great place to go which makes this more of an incentive The ticket booths are very quick cause there's 2 stations with 2-3 employees each depending on the day of course. The prices were pretty reasonable, pretty much the same as other movie theaters. The cashier also asked us about getting an AMC card and after thoroughly explaining we figured why not and got it. The inside is very spacious including the area to get food. Can't say anything about the food since we didn't buy anything but it's the typical overpriced popcorn, nachos, etc. The screening room we were in was kinda small since it was sort of in the side corner but that's typical among theaters. I'm sure if we watch a more recent film, we would have gotten one of the really big rooms. read more

I've been going to the movies here every week or every other week for about 7 months now. One thing that I've noticed happens in the cinema suites theaters is that once your server has seen you the first time to take your initial order, they pretty much disappear. We don't always eat here, but we usually grab popcorn and beer. If you're not eating and creating a giant bill, it seems the servers get clearly disappointed and will take FOREVER to come to you if you push your button mid movie. On more than one occasion, I'd push my button and almost 20 minutes later, my husband would have to push his to get someone to come to us. Then after that, it might take another 20 for your iced tea, or beer to come. Really? 40 minutes after I want it....not really that appealing. So if you're going to keep it cheap, don't expect to have a new beer quickly or anything. The waitstaff has never actually been rude, but the waiting is really what's frustrating. I still really enjoy going, but we've since stopped going as much because of these occurrences. read more

Cinema Suites at AMC Theaters in Grapevine became my favorite date night spot when it opened. Amazingly comfortable, spacious recliners; box like, reserved seating; full menu and adult beverages! However, it seems like each time I go now, it's more of a disappointment. I took a friend from out of town on January 2 to see Spotlight. When we arrived, someone was in our reserved seats and it took two different employees to get them to move. When we finally sat down and put in our order it took more than 30 minutes to get a drink. After we got our tab 30 minutes before movie ended, no one ever picked it up. We waited until lights up, service button pushed, theater empty till someone finally picked up the check and ran my credit card. Nothing like going out of your way to wait just to pay! I was sure that was a one-time occurrence but apparently not. Flash forward one week... Friday night date, Star Wars 3D. Fun, right? As we walked toward the our theater, we had to pass the kitchen. I had never noticed it before as it's sort of hidden in the hall but this time there was no missing it! There was a horrible smell coming from it... One that hit you 20 feet away. Let's just say if you are spending a lot of money to eat at a theater, this is really concerning. So, these may be small gripes but they really set the tone... The theater was too warm inside. The side of my seat - right where the recliner button is - was dirty. As in slimy, hardened popcorn butter, afraid to touch it again dirty. The menu - at least the wine - is really overpriced. The food is mediocre. (We shared the country style chicken fingers - last time I'll get it.) I'm giving this review two stars bc our servers were nice and the movie was awesome. Apparently there's a new theater in Flower Mound that's the same style as AMC's Cinema Suites but it's less expensive, clean and hopefully no questionable smells! We'll probably check it out next time, even though it's further away. Hopefully AMC will improve soon. read more

We saw the 5:05 showing of Bohemian Rhapsody on Valentines. The theater and the entire end of theaters on the dine in side were disgusting. It was dirty and smelled bad. Before entering the theater we sat at the bar. My husband ordered a beer. I asked for water. The bartender said it would be best if I went to the concession stand instead of him fixing me a glass. I insisted and he did fill it. He told us if we wanted popcorn or soda it would be better if we ordered if from the snack bar instead of ordering from the wait staff in the dine in theater? Then why have a dine in option if your own staff discourages it? All of the tables we could see at and near our seats were VISIBLY DIRTY! How gross and unappetizing. I went to the bathroom and brought back paper towels to clean our table. The wait staff SAW us cleaning the filthy table and didn't offer to help or clean . They never spoke to us or approached us the entire time. We were going to eat, but it was so gross and smelly I didn't even feel comfortable ordering a coke. read more

Yes they are one the cheapest when going to a movie before 3pm but worth spending extra for a better experience. Popcorn was cold and stale; hot dog bun was stale; everything from tables, floor, bathroom were dirty; and the seats had tears in them not to mention very uncomfortable. read more

The dine in experience was very very disappointing. 1st the original order of entrees never arrived after over an hour into the movie. Nor did the person that took order ever returned with any update or explanation. 2nd after 1hr 10mins of movie I called for a waiter and cancelled the original order and then ordered a simple med popcorn. Cinema Suites is the way to go. I don't hand out 5 stars easily, but the Cinema Suites deserves it. 1.) It's insane how nice ALL the staff are at AMC Grapevine Mills. I drive from Uptown Dallas to catch movies here, especially the early-bird special which is only $9. 2.) The recliners are ridiculously comfortable. Don't skimp and do Fork and Screen. The seats are inferior to CS, and the luxurious space of CS makes F&S feel claustrophobic. 3.) When I first tried out CS, I thought the seats and space were great, but I didn't think the food would be any better than overpriced, glorified TGIFridays fare. I was pleasantly surprised. The food is really good(dare I say not merely as just "bar fare"?), the portions are huge, and the price is reasonable. Try the burgers and the fries. I can't watch a movie anywhere else, anymore. read more

This place used to be amazing when it first open, but alas nothing good lasts forever. AMC has really gone down hill. Quality of the theater not being clean all the way. Granted these kids try their best. I know it is hard too clean up entire auditorium. There are better movie theater locations around the metroplex with a far better viewing experience and yummy tastier food and drinks. But this place is not worth the price of admission. So come during if you have free passes or matinee. So eat first before watching a movie here. In all AMC is average at best. Check out Cinemark, Studio Movie Grill, Lakewood, Texas Theater, Angelika and etc. At least 'Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs 2' was good. read more

Very disappointed today. My wife and I went to catch the rare movie date. We got there about 5 minutes before the movie started and had chosen one of the dine-in theatres. We ordered the food, then sat over an hour waiting for it to arrive. When it got to us, the burger and fries were cold, and the bun was hard. The nachos were freshly made (we think they were, since at least the meat was warm), but it was obvious that the burger had been made and sat there rather than being taken to us. Not sure if it makes sense to wait in the theater to get the food delivered like that. read more

Our family loves this AMC theater and have always received excellent service from every employee we've interacted with even when something has gone wrong. The restrooms are clean, the food is good. The cinema suites are a wonderful experience and well worth the priciness to me. 21+ in Cinema Suites. Get their rewards card even if you only go a couple of times a year and they'll give you some $ back. read more

We went to 6:15 pm movie on a Monday night. Despite website talking about cleaning and Covid commitment to be safe for its customers this was not even close to being true. We arrived to our pre-reserved seats to find cups and popcorn leftover sitting on top of seats from previous customers. Obviously zero cleaning. No dine in option. Not serving a full menu. Had to stand in long line for food and when we sat to eat it after the movie started we discovered a nice long strand of hair in the pretzel bites! Popcorn scattered all throughout the facility. Trash cans over flowing with trash that the limited staff can't keep up with their overwhelmed operations. Went trying to support in person movie establishments but is was a miserable experience. Won't go back for a very long time, if ever. read more

I love this theater! The pink exterior walls, the service, the reclining chairs! It's all fantastic! I also really like the location because many restaurants are in walking distance, so it would be super convenient to grab a bite to eat before or after your movie! Free parking on weekends! New low for corporate America. Upon asking for a cup for water I was told they no longer give those out. So I went to the bar for a beer and asked for a glass of tap water and was told it would be $5!!! $5 for tap water, how sad. Decent movie watching experience, with bad food. Calling this dine-in makes it sound like a restaurant, it is more like fast food or ballpark food. It's more like dine on your lap after waiting in a line for food. I'd rather they just do one well and not try to do both. The seats also suck. They have he best quality when it comes to movie sound and screen AND cleanliness. They even start a dine-in system now kind of like Studio Movie Grill, or the Alamo Drafthouse. I went today to see an 11:45 movie with my best friend ana her sister. It took my best friend going to her someone to take our order. Also all the help buttons didn't work for each seat. Once we ordered, the food came out timely. In the middle of the movie, we ordered cocktails -- again we had to go her someone to take our order. This time a different waiter. It took 15 minutes for our drinks to come out. Our drinks tasted watery. My caprese flatbread was good. The customer service was horrible on that day. I will not be back. read more

So this used to be my preferred theatre when I lived in the Lewisville area... it was just down the road, way better than the Vista Ridge Mall theatre, cheaper than Studio Movie Grill (and my 2 experiences at SMG Lewisville were no bueno). But having moved away from the area, I haven't been here in a little while. If I catch an early movie after work, I typically try to go to Harkin or back to my side of town. A friend and I have developed a slightly embarrassing addiction to the new X-Men movie for all of the delicious eye-candy it contains (particularly Erik/Magneto.. ahem..). Anyway. She lives in Lewisville and I in Addison... Our original theatre of choice was Cinemark West Plano, but she was low on gas, so I offered to drive out her way. Upon driving up to the theatre, I noticed that the mall looked very different than the last time I was there. Construction going on, dirt all over the sidewalk and parking lot, many different businesses I hadn't heard of... Ah well- I wasn't there to shop. The dirt all over my jeans/sandals was obnoxious, though. The theatre itself was okay, but getting my ticket was painfully slow. There are 2 separate ticket sales booths, each with their own set of automated ticket machines. All 6 machines were out of order. One side of the ticket booth was shut. The other side had one guy working, who was so busy answering questions ("What does the 'D' mean after the movie name?" Digital projection. No extra cost. "What's the difference between the Cinema Suites and the other dine-in option?" blah blah blah) and suggesting the new "Stubz" rewards program, the groups ahead of me took WAY longer than they should've done. Walking in, the ticket stand with the teenager next to it was gone.. It was just the teenager milling about and waiting for someone to come in. Took a minute for me to realize that he was actually there to take my ticket. To the right, when you first walk in, everything looks the same as it's done for years. To the left, it's the new CinemaSuites/Dine-In Theatres and a full bar and all that stuff. Our theatre wasn't in the new bit, so I didn't get a full view of it, but my friend JQ said that it was actually really worth doing, especially if it's a movie you REALLY want to see or it's late. She said the service was quite good and the chairs were very comfortable. As it was, our movie was in one of the Big 4 theatres, surrounding the concession stand. These are the main theatres they do their midnight releases and big blockbusters in. HUGE theatres. Sadly, I'd forgotten how uncomfortable the seats were... Zero recline, zero bounce. Only plus? Arm-rests lifted up. Also, since they're trying to cram in as many seats as they can, the seats seem smaller than other theatres I've been to lately. Not uncomfortably smaller, but it was noticed. All in all, a good theatre with decent bathrooms (though they've had to take out completely or re-locate one set on the Dine-In side), and the movies themselves have good picture. The sound was uncomfortably loud-- it felt like the treble was tuned way up and the bass was not. I covered my ears a couple of times. I've seen this movie 3 times now and didn't even have to do that at the XD theatre at Tinseltown which has a bigger picture and bigger sound along with it. I do find it strange that they haven't switched EVERYTHING over to Digital Projection, though. Pro-Tip: If you're in one of the Big 4 theatres and you have to go to the bathroom, there are bathrooms upstairs. Go out the top of the theatre and voilà! Bathrooms. These aren't used as frequently as the downstairs ones, so they tend to be cleaner and well-stocked. I'd like to come back and try the Dine-In theatre thingy and see how it compares to JQ's description and SMG and its ilk. read more

As long as you're in one of the dine - in theaters or Cinema Suites (I'm assuming, I've never been to CS before), this theater is awesome. I've never had problems with sound quality (which I'm picky about), picture quality, seat comfort, etc. The service is great and the food is awesome (I wish they'd bring back that lobster pizza they had, though!). I went to see Guardians of the Galaxy last week, and was in one of the big 4 theaters near the concession stands. The seats didn't recline, and were a little uncomfortable, but I suppose it could have been much worse. They have Coca-Cola Freestyle machines to serve yourself drinks, which is amazing until you get someone in front of you who doesn't understand this advanced technology. Fortunately that's only happened to me once. If possible, I'd definitely advise a dine-in theater or Cinema Suites over one of the regular theaters. read more

This place is filthy, bathrooms have no paper towels and are filthy, only select theaters allow food so the idea of dine in is a straight up lie!, it stinks, and the personnel are rude and not helpful in any way. Tickets are expensive, parking is practically impossible and the concession is expensive even compared to other concession stands. Even compared to restaurants in the airport. And the seats are damn uncomfortable. But it is stadium seating and the place does have 30 screens, so it is pretty easy to see what you want whenever you want. If this place was in my hometown, I don't know if I would bother going here. read more

AMC Cinema Suites wins, hands down. Man I wish I lived closer to this place! Good food at decent prices. Seating is very comfy. It's much nicer than Alamo Draft House or Studio Movie Grill but not quite as nice as iPic Theaters. However for the price (of both tickets and food), I would pick AMC over iPic anytime! We first came here a few months back and went again this past weekend to watch The Hunger Games. SO worth it to have our reserved seats that we picked out online ~2 weeks prior so we didn't even have to come early to fight for seats. Another big plus (for a few reasons) is that Cinema Suites is only 21+. What's better than getting to enjoy a beer or cocktail with your movie? Servers are friendly and attentive and very honest with recommendations. Love this place-- only downside is now I dread just going to a regular old movie theater! read more

What can I say? The Cinema Suites is about 10000 times better than your average dine-in movie venue. First off, the legroom and seating is worth paying the extra $$.And the fact that you have to be 21 or older to enter= even better. The food is pretty meh and pricey but it doesn't bother me since the atmosphere is awesome. Oh, and the little perks that come with the experience: a small cup of complimentary popcorn, a hot towel at the end of the meal, and chocolate before you exit the movie..it's these little details that make it memorable. read more

They have upgraded several of their theaters to DINE-IN. You are able to purchase ASSIGNED SEATS!! If you read my post on Movie Tavern and how frustrating it is when you go on to try and get seats together, this is WONDERFUL (like Golden Class Cinema but much less money a ticket). Side note: BE CAREFUL not to buy 'Fork and Screen' tickets online for them. THEY DON'T HAVE THEM. They offer one type of dine-in tickets, and that's it. We had to switch movies, and be upgraded; however, the AMC took care of it. They changed our tickets from the 'Fork and Screen' which were actually just a regular movie viewing to the dine-in that was next available. read more

Clean? Must have been a good day when she went because my fiance and I have been going to this theater for over a year, and it's never been clean. Not even close. I am hoping that management takes a peek at this review, and that is the only reason I am writing. I have spoken directly to a manager there and he seemed to think everything is hunky dorey. When he told me that I seriously wanted to ask him if he ever got out and walked around and took a look at this theater. But we go anyway, because we like the large theater and seating, and the over 21 showing is nice for us from time to time. I am wondering if one day we will just decide it's not worth it to go anymore. I hope that day doesn't come, but this cinema theater has seriously gone downhill in the last couple months. For now, we bring our own cleaning wipes, and I definitely recommend others to do the same. And take a peak at the cloth when you wipe off the tables you are eating on. You will want to throw up. But that's why we bring them. The food has also taken a turn for the worse in the past couple months. Seriously cold pizza and I had no desire to finish. The cocktails are always good and they should be because I seriously think I need to toss a cocktail back when I look at how dirty everything is around me. We're perturbed that they have been showing a political commercial before the movie which seriously is why we go to the movies. Hello.... to forget about all the political garbage. She's not the janitor. And as a customer, I DO NOT want my server cleaning the bathrooms. That HAS to be some kind of a violation. If it's not a law, I know for sure the law of common sense is clearly being violated here. Anyway, we will probably go back. Maybe. It's hard to say. We are adventurous people, and we like to go out. And unfortunately this is how a lot of businesses are run nowadays. Unfortunate and true!! So, until we just get fed up with it, or until they get shut down for health code violations we will probably go back. Sanitation wipes and echinacea/immune booster vitamins in check. Went to this AMC to see a special Studio Ghibli Fest movie we couldn't even watch the movie. We had left in the beginning because they never put the subtitles on and the theater was horrendous. Cups, popcorn, and just trash was all over the theater. We went to the customer service stand and they really didn't care to fix or even surprised by our comments about our experience. I love this AMC. The luxury suites are the best. They have lazy boy electric leather recliners with push button table side service. This location has a full bar and really good food. Water is free and all you can eat popcorn is $10. Try this place and you will never want to go anywhere else. read more

Yuck! Food was a fail on a recent visit. Customer service was inattentive and error-prone. I don't know why I keep coming back--well, OK I like the reserved recliner seating, but the food service is mostly hit-or-miss. It's absolutely worse when your eating options are limited to certain types of foods and the kitchen manages to bungle every one of them. At least they serve Coke products...but they really need to refresh all the auditoriums to fix some of the broken cup holders and tables. They also have to fix Cinema Suites seating especially for us petite folks who must sit closer to the front of the house just to peer over the walls erected between aisles. Bathrooms are nasty--they too need more regular maintenance...aw heck put that one on the "refresh" list too. read more

Came for the first DramaFever event this AMC was hosting. There was a technical issue with the subtitles not being presented fully, but they resolved it and restarted the film... Which I didn't expect, and was SOO grateful they did! I hope they host many more events like this one, and offer up more Korean movies... it was a lot of fun. read more

Giving 2 stars for food. Ordered the Ultimate Nachos...they were completely dry aside from a dollop of Guacamole on the top. Nachos with no cheese. I told the waiter which I hate to do once the movie has started. Eventually a small cup of cheese sauce was sent up for two of us to share on our dry nachos. By the time the cheese sauce got to us we didn't even want to eat at this point. Very disappointing. Would recommend ordering from the concession and taking in the food rather than the dine in menu. read more

We actually watched 2 movies last night. One in the IMAX and one in the dine in theater. First, the imax screen and sound are amazing, but the chairs in there are really uncomfortable. For the price of those tickets, you'd think the seats would be comfy. For our second show in the dine in side, the seats were fine, sound and picture were good. The menu is not vegetarian friendly, and you can forget it if you're vegan. The pretzel bites were like little bricks, they were awful. I also ordered the lettuce cups without the bacon, and they were pretty good. Hubby had a burger which he said was ok. The service was decent. The bathrooms were dirty with multiple stalls having no toilet paper. It wasn't even the end of the night, and it looked like they hadn't been seen about since the day before. Overall, we will probably be back because of the movie selection, but I wish it was nicer, especially since the tickets are so expensive. read more

Been going here regularly for almost ten years. It has declined in popularity and quality experience. Big surprise the two are hand in hand. Everyone has different priorities. For us being able to get into a recently released movie the day of is important. If your an AMC Stubs member you can buy online with no fee and discount on food. Yes, the food is overpriced but we can get out of there in the dine-in for 2 at less than $25. Tickets, large popcorn with refill and drinks. The other reviewer are correct, sometimes it's not clean. We ask them to clean it and they do. Room for improvement but as movies go it's a good value for reclining comfy seats, traditional food and new releases. Other theaters are more hip but if you are there for the movie this serves me well! read more
