We ordered our tickets online and picked the seats we wanted so when we got to the theatre all we did was show the lady at the front our confirmation and then straight to the theatre! Worst movie experience ever. The movie was fine but the experience surrounding it leaves a lot to be desired. For starters, I pre-ordered tickets and snacks online 3 hours ahead of time and paid via PayPal since it was an option. I arrive at the theater and am promptly told they are out of hotdogs, pepperoni pizza and pretzel bites. I request a refund. Since I paid via PayPal the refund has to be on a gift card. That's fine, no problem, except the new cashier can't get the gift card to load. He asked for the manager's help on 3 occasions, each time a manager would come and say a few words and walk away before the issue was corrected. Finally, at the movie start time, the second manager decided to offer me free movie passes since they were unable to refund my money. Great, except the only movie passes they have all are expired. The manager assures me that the passes will still be accepted at any AMC. I sit down for my movie. Between people's kids talking throughout, other people being on their phones, and adults kicking the seat backs, it was by far the worst movie experience I've ever had. Not sure if the expired free movie passes are even worth it. read more

Theatre was ok and seats are comfortable, main problem I have is the clientele is ghetto! Too many trashy people who can't stay off their phones. Had one surfing Facebook next to us through the entire movie. We even asked her to stop and she yelled at us! This is now my #2 go-to theater. My #1 also happens to be an AMC. I don't go to Irving mall, I drive past it 5 days a week but I never stop. I don't remember seeing the AMC sign which is clearly visible from 183 but when I was looking for seats at my favorite AMC and nothing was available Irving popped up as next closest. You have to go in the mall to get in but I parked behind the Sears automotive and walked right in. I walked up to the Kiosk to access my tickets but one of the attendants pleasantly said she could get them for me so there was no wait. The rest of the theater is just like all the other renovated AMC's. Concessions are high just like any other theater but I like the fountain drink machine and a full bar was available. The best thing is the reclining reserved seats. I headed to the last row because that's where I like to sit. The theater was clean and I will be going there again. read more

This AMC compared to others was a hot mess. Popcorn and trash everywhere. Ball on the floor behind the counter, in the theatres, halls - I mean everywhere. Long lines due to low staff and slow speed of service. The select your seat style theatre is the standard nowadays. The lady checking tickets was very nice and she gave recommendations on other films to see. They really need to do a better job of keeping this place clean. read more

This is an older theater that has been updated. The seats are reclining and comfortable. I am apart of the AMC A-list movie program. I love it it's only 19.95 per month to see three movies a week. The only thing I don't like is there is are no fine in eating options. read more

Quiet little mall, mixed crowds, but the movie theatre is always packed. Most of the seats recline, and are reserved. So don't try and come here without a ticket, purchased online, beforehand. The shittiest of seats are available an hour or two before the movie starts. Great thing: Adult Bar in the lobby, and the snack shack line moves quickly. Of the two AMC's I've been to this one is my preferred as every theater has the reclining seats vs grapevine where a few of the theaters still had the seating they had put in new 15 years ago before most theaters did recliners. Staff is usually nice enough and they have the refresh coke machines that you can self refill; so the expensive drink prices don't hurt as much if you at least get a refill on your way back out. The entrance to the theater is inside the mall which while I regularly go to 3 theaters attached to malls the other two entrances are outside of the mall itself; meaning this is the only one that you must enter the mall to enter the theater & exit ... I remember a theater when I was a kid 30 years ago that was the same way in NRH but that mall is no longer there so that shows it's a little old school; I guess safer for staff but I still feel weird being in the mall past closing time for a late movie. The parking situation is where I hold back a star. You can park street side; I think it's sears is the main store near the mall entrance you take for the theater; but the street side always is on the fuller side and higher traffic. Where my friends and a lot of those going into the theater is a side lot where an officer usually is seen sitting; and I've been followed to my spot at least once when they went to park in the back of the side lot. While I appreciate the safety of having an officer near by incase of emergency it just lead me to think how many things may have happened at the mall; shoplifting, car break ins etc; or that lot specially that they sit there for as there is a lot of the area of the mall particularly more heavily trafficked areas they could be patrolling. Though hey I doubt my car will get messed with when an officer is sitting there. read more

Two words: reclining seats!!! You can literally lay down, snuggle and watch a movie. Pretty much any seat in the theater is a good seat. So for the comfy, reclining seats alone this theater gets five stars. It loses a star for location, concessions, parking and line set up. This theater is located in the ghetto Irving mall. Parking is horrid especially by the AMC entrance. The spaces are tight and even the most experienced driver will end up parking like a douche. The lines to get tickets are always long. Do yourself a favor...take your card and go to the touch screen kiosks instead. This is one way to make sure you get tickets before all the teens can get through the line! Also do yourself a favor and pick a rated R flick just to avoid ruining your movie experience with said rude teens. Concessions...After paying $8 for popcorn the last thing I want to do is pour my own butter! Cinemark has completely spoiled popcorn for me. They do get kudos for the touch screen drink stations. Pure awesomeness! There is also a bar! Yes! A real alcohol serving bar! I give them props for trying to cater to the over 21 crowd! read more

I came here to see A Star is Born in the afternoon on a Sunday. Upon entry to the theatre I saw so much trash on the floor and in the seats. Once I got to my seat I couldn't sit down because popcorn was everywhere and there were napkins and cups on the floor. I sat on my row but not in my seat because no one cleaned the theatre. If I had not taken an Uber I would have left the theatre and went somewhere else. I came here to relax before my flight home but the ambiance was ruined with all the trash. It was obvious that no one checked the theatre before the showing. The seats here are the ones I like that lift your feet and recline so points for that. The food options were limited to typical movie theatre fare which I'm admittedly bored of. I only got a water which was of course $5 smh. read more

We always come here because of the convenience of ordering tickets and reserving seats ahead of time and the comfortable pullout chairs. However when it comes to food and customer service they get 0 stars. The popcorn always seems to be old. Pizza and hotdogs are never ready and the wait is 15 minutes. This was without a line. Last time we thought we lost a wallet in the theater and tried to call them to ask if someone can check or tell us when there is no movie playing so we can check. We called 50 times that day with 2 answers. Both times it was a manager on duty that said they would check and call us back and never did. We ended up having to go up there and waiting for a movie to get out to check ourselves. A manager told us their phones don't actually ring so they have to be watching it in order to answer. NEVER EVER HEARD OF A BUSINESS DOING THIS. read more

Then proceeded to theater 12 an there was a couple with loud kids talking throughout the movie. I asked for management to come in and they never showed up. Other kids behind me kept throwing popcorn. I love this theater because it's kind of hidden, but has great deals. First of all, the seats are great. The leather seats are huge and comfortable with the adjustable leg rest. Also, if you are an AMC Stubs member, there are many benefits. The best one is the $5 movies on Tuesdays. Others include reward points, coupons on popcorn and drink, birthday reward, etc. read more

This mall is very...ugh. If I wasn't meeting my friend here for a movie, I would never come here. Very dingy, dirty, and old looking. There is nothing good about this place except that it has a very updated and modern AMC movie theater (idk why). The stores here are not what you'd expect...a lot of small mom and pop places and not a lot of mall name stores (ae, Aeropostale, etc). The. Worst. My husband and I decided to see at 1:15 here and we arrived right at 1. We do so to take into account any long lines, concession stand and maybe grabbing a drink from the bar. Upon walking in, there was debris everywhere. Barely stocked shelves and no one tending bar. No problem. We were the only ones in n line at the time. We asked if the bar was open and a lady informed me that there were, but only serving beer and wine. (Which I discovered later was a lie). We ordered chicken and waffles and chili dog, because I was told I couldn't add fried jalapeños. The receipt says 1:15 and we just received our order at 1:42. We have missed the beginning of our movie and that's just It. Will NEVER return. read more

Spent most of my life in Irving, so I've been going to this theater since I was just an offspring. Funny how this mall has gotten so poor, yet they upgraded in the AMC theater to the leather reclining seats which are soooooo nice! They're super soft and cushion comfy and if you haven't experienced these seats yet, the buttons are fun to push back and forth for the inner child within all of us LOL. I also like how the arm rests can be lifted up so you can AMC and chill ;) or placed back down if you wanna cockblock some thirsty people hahaha. I'm just kidding, but it is nice for couples that want to cuddle while watching the movie or if you want some space from a stranger next to you. The theater itself is kept fairly clean, even with people constantly littering all over the place after the movie is over. I have some girlfriends who work here and they always give me a discount when they're working. Win. You can purchase your tickets from the counter or the ziosk touch screens. Security isn't tight, so you can smuggle in your own drinks and snacks for the theater. Just keep it in a large purse and you're good to go. I know at the Parks Mall they made me chug my free cup of hot chocolate from Cinnabon and I didn't like that much :/ Oh well. I was also raised very Asian. My parents would take me to watch several movies at this theater so I thought it was normal until I went to the movies with my friends and they were appalled I would watch 3 movies after paying for 1 hahaha. Oops. It's cheaper if you do that though (obviously). Like at all movie theaters, the movies snack bar is extremely pricey, but if you're on a date and don't have to pay for food, it's very delicious. There's a butter dispenser on the side for anyone like my friend who goes crazy and enjoys eating a large bag of popcorn drowned in butter because you have high metabolism and never get chubbs. Unhealthy tastes so good though... I've also had their nachos because my best friend is the best gentleman ever and money is just paper to him. It comes in a sturdy cardboard paper tray with sealed dipping sauces that you peel off to open. And the nachos are kept in the middle box part where you lift up the lid. Humans are so smart and invent the most convenient and clean things. The drinks machine has a touch screen of selections within selections. It's very cool. You can choose one type of drink and then 8 more of its various flavors will pop up. How neat is that?! Great quality sound. It's always booming, so sit further back if you can so that you avoid damage to your ears. The screen is also HD, whether it's a regular movie or a 3D one. I thoroughly enjoy watching films here and would recommend if people want a nice, comfortable theater experience. read more

I like the new upgraded Irving AMC theater. I no longer wait in line for the "hot movie" tickets. I can choose seat advance and buy it online. I have the leather adjustment seat which is similar to the AMC in Grapevine mall for only 10 buck. The only thing I do not like about this theater is there are some rude people who talks and make stupid noises while everyone are still watching.
