This is the best movie theater in town with their IMAX screen. I will say that I am a bit irritated that you have to get your own drink and butter your own popcorn but the prices remain the same! Wow! 25.50 for two people to see a movie. Plus a bottle water and m&ms cost 10.50 wow. I'm guessing rent is high in this area. If you have to have these types of prices. Seats were ok. But no cells is not enforced. Never saw a worker until the end. You had someone videoing during Magnificent 7 on and off. And another person watching YouTube videos it was very distracting. read more

Gotta love incompetent employees!! Waiting in the concession line, 2 lines open, the cashier has all kinds of issues with the persons change. Then just about all the other cashiers open up but with out letting anybody know. Needless to say what SHOULD'VE taken a couple minutes turns into a 10 minute ordeal. read more

Not sure if they are low on staff or what the issue is, but the cleanliness of this theater is in real despair! The lighting inside before and after movies is so low that it becomes dangerous for people let alone those with any physical disability.Please keep lights up before movie starts and up again after the movie is over! read more

Lost my wallet the night before and called 3 times to see if they had found it after "cleaning" the theaters called once more they told me to come into look for it and what do I find my wallet right where I was sitting the night before with the same dirty floors, theater wasn't cleaned what so ever read more

This place is dirty and poorly maintained. When we visited, the video quality of the previews was terrible. So they came in and moved everyone to another auditorium. Then, in the new auditorium, the movie's video stopped working about 30 minutes in (only the audio worked.) And how did they try to make good? With a gift card to AMC. I can't think of a time when I had been treated so poorly, this place was unbelievably horrendous. You better not come here unless you want to deal with people that can't diffuse a simple problem. I am sickened at how they treat customers and won't even talk to the customer with the issue. What a freaking joke this place is. I for one, along with my family will never again go to an AMC location anywhere, you have forever lost a customer and I will make damn sure that all of my veteran friends never step foot in one of your locations again. Maybe you all need to learn to treat customers with respect and teach your over emotional employees how to actually deal with customers but I'm sure you don't know how to do that. Siding with your employee before even talking to a customer is disgusting and you all should be fired. I would never allow my employees to behave the way you all did today. In fact, I would have probably sent a certain employee home for her inexcusable behavior. I would give this place zero stars if I could, because they certainly deserve it. It's really sad how downhill this theater has gone. I remember when this used to be the nice theater to go to in town. We went tonight and the entire place was disgusting and run down. Ugh, this place has terrible taste in movies. I recently visited this establishment one morning so I could take in the latest moving picture, Alvin and the Chimpmunks: The Road Chip. I should have known this movie was not going to be very good. The pun is not their best work. I loved the pun heavy titles "The Squeakquel" and "Chipwrecked" but this one just isn't very funny to me. I really felt for the chipmunks too. What if Dave really did dump them after all they've been through? That would be heartbreaking. I was worried they wouldn't make it through their road chip in time (on second thought, that pun is hilarious and I take back everything I said about it) to stop Dave from proposing to his stupid girlfriend. Heaven forbid they have to put up with an evil step-brother. Jason Lee does an admirable job, and I really loved Wyatt the Pizza Guy, Party Cop #1 and Party Cop #2, not to mention American Idol Bad Auditioner. What really fluffs my bushy tail is the fact that this establishment refused to give me a refund following the conclusion of the movie. I calmly and without malice or craziness in my eyes explained that I did not enjoy this movie as much as the previous installments (I own the Squeakquel on DVD!) and I would like a refund. Well, the manager DID give me my money back for the movie ticket, but he refused to give me my money back for the popcorn and soda that I bought! Can you believe the nerve!? I only got one refill of each, so I was pretty livid. I'm still pretty beat up about it. The one star is for the movie Alvin and the Chipmunks: Road Chip, which I actually loved now that I think abnout it, but I don't know how to change the rating. read more

The toilet seat was broken, only about half the sinks worked, there was no paper towels and the hand dryers didn't put out enough air to dry anything. Then the movie shut off have way through and some guy had to come manually fast forward it back to where we were and kept yelling just tell me when. What happened to this place? read more

HUGE DISAPOINTMENT with management!!!!!!!!!!! Star wars promotion at this facility did not live up to its hype. News stations in fort wayne made this event a huge deal. "Carmike cinemas at Jefferson point will be showing star wars the force awakens starting Thursday at 7pm running all night!" One promotion poster was hanging in the facility. It's like the hype was only for the people viewing the movie at 7 pm, which I heard that some were disappointed at that time as well! Management did not communicate with employees about company policy very clearly and it certainly wasn't "worth the 4 hour wait to see a movie at this facility. Management made fans go out of turn in line. Management between the hours of 12am-4am early Friday morning were very rude and handled the hyped up event very poorly. If they didn't want to spend money on this big film premiere, then why did they even have it? IT'S star wars!!! 40 years of fans, a new generation of fans, new movie producers and directors... MAKE IT BIG! and it's not just this star wars event making management and this facility going downhill fast. I have been coming here since 2005. I have seen more décor in this facility promoting not so big movies than I did early this morning for star wars the force awakens, and this movie already surpassed record sales opening day with it's presales. Live up to the hype. I have already made complaints to the manager and corporate office. Carmike Cinema 18 Jefferson Point needs to be investigated by corporate and under go new management soon since this is one of the biggest movie facilities north of Indianapolis! read more
