AMC Dine-In Montclair Place is always a great spot for entertainment! The staff are consistently nice and courteous, making every visit pleasant from start to finish. The food is always delicious--definitely a step above typical movie snacks. The recliner seats are super comfy, especially if you bring your own blanket--perfect for settling in and enjoying the show. The surround sound truly enhances the experience, making you feel like you're part of the movie. Highly recommend for a relaxing and immersive movie night! Came here last night for the first time since it was built around the pandemic time. Was here as part of my younger daughter's birthday gift week. I would say it was quite nice. The location is really good for us, since it's within 2 miles from our home. I have passed by here so many times day and night. It's where it used to be a department store on the east side of the now called Montclair Place (formerly Montclair Plaza). The building looks really cool and clean outside. It's lighted up at night which looks even cooler. There is plenty of parking, however, it will be so full once it hits around Thanksgiving. We parked between south of the Theater and the 10 Freeway. To go inside the Theater, you have to either go up the stairs or an escalator. So it is located on the 2nd floor. After being wowed by the outside and the entrance, I also thought the inside of the theater was very clean. Restrooms were very presentable for having a good amount of people here. It was very easy to find our way around in here. On this day, it was very clean when walking into movie theater room # 6. Our seats were clean and so comfortable. Was nice having leather reclining seats. My daughter surprised us with a pre-order of 5 yummy churros that came with a side of whip cream. It was delivered right to our seats! The movie screen was super large and clear! Great picture!!! The sound system was excellent... you could hear very well, but still not too loud. We watched the new prequel of the Hunger Games. Great movie to see if you are into the previous 4 Hunger Games movies. This was such an overall great experience! My daughter had an awesome birthday week!!! We were so happy we made this place part of it! We highly recommend you giving this place a try! It is more expensive but well worth the cost as I don't go out to see too many movies. Paid for a 3D movie experience and was not worth the price at all. First of all the seat did not have any of its features, it did not recline and was inoperable. The audio volume was low in that theater which did not have the movie theater effect. My popcorn tasted burnt, we threw away nearly a full bucket of popcorn. When I went to notify staff at guest services about the chair they seem uninterested in trying to rectify the matter with me (though they did not down the seat #) and eager to get back to their conversation. This is why people have to get Karen (which I didn't) because customer service these days is so subpar. read more

This theatre is really good and I can't like twice before when they opened. The theaters are well cleaned and they have a bar and good variety of snacks and treats to choose from. They have good customer service as well they lane sure they give you all your A list perks are available to you. It's been many times I go to AMC locations and they do not mention your refill for popcorn! This is also a good location because it's inside the Montclair mall. Parking is easy and free. You can go to see a early movie then ship after. Overall, I will be back to this lovely AMC I had a good time seeing the Barbie movie in my all pink :) read more

They double charged me the yearly membership. They DO NOT have a customer service line. I emailed which was the only form of communication but no one ever replied. It's been a month and I went in person to the Montclair location and no one can help. Ken the manager said he will email the corporate office. But that's all they can do. I feel that the Dre's nowadays are just generally overpriced. This place actually is cool for a date night because it has a bunch of lounge chairs and couches that you can sit at and have a drink to talk before you go into your movie. There's also an outside patio since it's on the second floor. Camera with my girl to watch a movie. They have very comfortable lounge chairs that that are button controlled for your convenience. You can order alcohol and fried foods here as well. Self serve soda station. read more

I am writing to express my disappointment with an incident that occurred during my visit to your theater yesterday. I attended the 6:00 PM showing of The Black Phone 2 at the Montclair location with my siblings. Everything was fine at first, but midway through the movie, my sister alerted me to inappropriate behavior from the couple seated next to us. When I looked over, I saw that they had a jacket covering them, and the woman was clearly performing a sexual act on the man. I immediately left the theater to report the situation. I approached the employee scanning tickets and asked how to file a complaint. After explaining what was happening, she called over a man who I believe was the manager. I explained the situation again, and he assured me that someone would come and check it out. Unfortunately, no one ever came. The lack of response from the staff completely ruined the experience for me and my family. read more

This theater uses intense surveillance and policing. DON'T COME HERE! They watch audiences with cameras which is so creepy and dystopian. I came here and I snuck in a tall can of beer (i get it, i broke the rules but have you seen how expensive the menu items are?!) and mid-movie, a worker came in, checked my can, asked me to step outside, and told me I had to leave because I broke their policy. This has never happened to me at a movie theater. The way they asked me to leave made me feel like a criminal and I was with family. They had a security guard worker come too. The movies are supposed to be a fun pastime but definitely not here. I wonder if they do that with all food since that breaks their policy too? They have a bar here btw. According to other reviews, they wrongfully accused others of sneaking in alcohol when it was actually purchased there. Management should increase worker wages instead of investing so much on an aggressive security system that's not even interested in safety, just outside alcohol consumption. What's worse is that they never answer their phones. The worker that kicked me out said I'm welcome to come back another day LOL. The vibe at this theater is aggressive and conservative so I will definitely not be going back. read more

Although every theater can technically be a dine in theater if you have the bag space and try hard enough, it was neat to watch a movie at one of these! It's located on the second floor of the mall and looks pretty swanky with a small lobby area and a full bar. Each seat can be reclined and has a small table with a cup holder. Very useful for not only eating but placing a spread of the snacks that you might share with friends. If you want to order dine in here, you can get it delivered to you at your seat. BIG PLUS that the seats have seat warmers, great on a super cold night or if you have any lower back pain lol. Additionally, this was one of the few locations that allowed anime fans to have rights since the viewings of the Kaguya movie were at reasonable times and not just one early and one super late and there were no issues with the movie running itself. Good experience, though I think we would have gotten more bang for our buck versus going to a regular theater if we did order from their dine in menu. read more

I've only visited this theater once but enjoyed my time there. It didn't seem very busy that day so scanning my ticket and getting snacks went fairly quickly. I really liked that the reclining seats were heated. My only complaint was that the theater screen needed to be cleaned as it looked splotchy or even greasy on some parts. read more

My first time coming to this movie theater which is located in the city of Montclair. Decided to have a movie night with a few friends and we watched M3GAN, which was pretty packed inside. But no worries you can reserve your seat before coming in. Which is what we did. Scan it through your AMC APP and then walk into the entrance. Right, when you come in you will see the food concession stand. I was kind of surprised that they had some different items on here like hamburgers, cheese, caramel, and oreo popcorn! What I mean like where have I been?? So decided to get both cheese and oreo popcorn to try out for the movie. The seats were comfortable and there is also a button to heat them which is nice on a rainy day. We all had a wonderful time and said we will be back. read more

Movies in general are overpriced these days but I did enjoy today's dine-in experience, a first for me. I ordered the Brie bacon burger, onion rings, and a Coke and 15 minutes later the food was delivered to me at my seat. The burger was really good except that had something sweet on it that I didn't love. If I get that burger again I will get it without whatever made it sweet. Either that, or order a different burger. I did enjoy it, I just could have enjoyed it more. As for the theater, it was clean and the bathrooms were well maintained. Other than a cheaper ticket price, I'm not sure I could ask for much more out of the theater. read more

Stopped by on Saturday, 01/08/23 for the first time (surprisingly). In general the AMC theaters are pricier than Harkins at Chino Hills but in terms of boujee-ness, AMC is your go-to. The seats were leather and adjustable so that you can lie down flat while watching your movie. There is also an adjustable heat pad for your back too. Our seats weren't very clean so I am assuming that the employees do not wipe every seat after every movie. Located inside the Montclair Place Mall. read more

Mariah really gave the best customer service and just made our movie night 100% better. She really gives this AMC location a great vibe.

I've gone to many of the local AMCs, but my favorite by far is the Montclair location. It is on the smaller side compared to the others, but I find the crew to be very attentive and are good about keeping the place clean. Nelida at the bar is very attentive and polite and gives good drink recommendations. The seating is very comfortable and modern. Definitely try combining their popcorn and nacho cheese! I also recommend trying out their Dolby theater at least once. read more

We booked this place thinking it was a different theater but this location was WAYYY better. Its smaller but more intimate because of that and not overcrowded. We came on a weekend too. The theater itself was very clean. We saw oppenheimer and this is the right place to come for a 3 hour movie. I was dying to see killers of the flower moon here but we booked the OTHER location on accident. We arent from this area so we forgot the city name. I was very disappointed in the other theater cuz this one is the best one! The staff at the concessions counter were very nice and friendly. I became an A lister a few months back, and it was the best decision I have made. I have meet employees here that make you feel very welcoming. I love it. Mariah is one of them, as soon as you're approaching the front, she's always greeting you with a hello and a big smile and making you feel so welcoming, like you're part of their family. Great experience, except for one thing. Loved the food options, the crispy chicken sandwich was delicious and get the loaded tots. We managed to order at the counter, food was brought out in a reasonable amount of time. Movie started, loved the large comfortable seats but then the fire alarm went off around 20 minutes later and we all had to evacuate. Total bummer, we did a get a refund the same day. I will definitely be back to enjoy Deadpool. Staff was friendly, love the sofa options. read more

Montclair Place's AMC, located on the 2nd floor, is a small cinema with a nice waiting area & view of the parking lot. It only have 1 Dolby theater & 1 IMAX theater. Not many come to this mall even during weekends, so it wasn't busy during the times my wife & I went to watch movies. The staff up front were always friendly to us, greeting & smiling. Did not order any food here so I can't say anything about food service. Reason is because the walk to the FoodCourt is not far (also on 2nd floor) & prices are, of course, reasonable than AMC prices. The reclining seats all have seat warmers (can adjust heat from low to high on the side of your chair) which is comfortable during the winter season. One CON is that the staff does turn on the lights right when the movie ends/right before the credits. Maybe to have customers leave or get up already so they can start cleaning. Overall, it's a nice little AMC if you're in the area. read more

Ever since they opened their doors to the public, I only watch movies at this location when I'm in the area. The food & drink options aren't bad, the taste isn't bad either. It's a plus that they allow you to bring food from the mall. It's disappointing reading other people's reviews because they complain for the most ridiculous reasons, AMC is for those who don't mind paying for quality. AMC is always flooded with people, which leads them to not being able to take care of everyone fast enough. The team isn't big enough and it's not their fault. This location is the newest AMC theater and has a nice view and it is located on the west side of the Montclair mall. I have been here several times and everytime has been a pleasant experience. I love the reclining seats with dine in tables. I was just here to watch Spiderman no way home, and man, if you havent seen a Marvel movie in the first day of its release, you're missing out a great experience. We all know the nerds and geeks fans always want to watch the movie first, so it was all great vibes watching Spiderman with fans like myself. More than enough soda machines on a crowded weekend and nice employees. I'm in the Investors stub membership and we get a free refill and popcorn! So disappointed. I'm a single mom with 2 kids. Live the convenience of the food delivery to my seat and don't mind paying the $2 delivery fee + $1 service fee. It's worth it. Well, NOT when they give you your food in front of the theater because the theater hasn't open 10 minutes past your food delivery time. So I had to juggle a 2 year old, 6 year old, 3 meals, popcorn, and 3 drinks. No one from the theater helped me, instead another guest felt bad and offered help. My nachos were missing ingredients, and they forgot the candy for my combo for the second visit in a row. It's not easy to go back to the concession with 2 little ones. I live so close to this location but I don't think my kids and I will be coming here anymore. I'd rather drive a bit further for a better experience read more

Absolutely amazing customer service So my family and I come to see a movie and ordered diamond. The food was about 10 to 12 minutes late so we went to check in and when the mail was coming. The front staff check out was kind and informed me that the runner was on their way. (the staff scanning tickets was less helpful and condescending as she reminded me had only been 10 minutes.) When I return from checking in on the food, the runner was there to give us our meal and we begin eating and watching the movie. Unfortunately, the nachos that we ordered were cold so I returned one of them as my husband was so hungry. He just ate the cold nachos. Josh who may be a manager I neglected to ask his title. I wish I had. He was absolutely amazing. He apologized and rectified it by refunding both of the nachos even though we had already eaten one. When I appreciate most is that he went above and beyond to rectify. We come here often because of my kids love the seating and the dine in eating so of course will be back. read more
