This AMC is by far one of my top 3 to go to the upgrade they did here is immaculate we went to go watch The Black Phone which I highly recommend you go WATCH NOW ! They have a full open bar as well a lounge area to hang out in when waiting for food but they also deliver the food up to you which is a huge plus ! I suggest everyone comes and check this AMC out heated and recliners seats as well idk if it's in all of them but theater 11 in their had it all . read more

I go here cause it's local and convenient and I'm a stock holder and stubs member. Every time I attend a show here though it seems like something unnecessary happens given the cost of their tickets and food offerings. When I went to see Saw X during the credits last scene they turned on all the lights in the theater and started cleaning. I went last night to see the new Exorcist movie and they had some issue where they sold tickets to people that didn't have a show to attended but were sitting in our seats and this kept happening through the whole movie that people would walk up and tell people they were in the wrong seats and have to explain there was some issue with the tickets. Made it really hard to enjoy my overpriced experience. read more

Haven't been to the movies in a hot minute. This AMC was huge and pretty fancy. The theater seemed pretty clean. Staff was friendly. In love with the reclining chairs. Would definitely fall asleep there. Overall, enjoyable experience. read more

Pretty underwhelmed with this theater. I drove in town from SD to see The Little Mermaid with family for a 6pm showing. The outside looks pretty and new but the actual theater was not luxury or adequate enough for "dine-in". True dine-in theaters such as Cinépolis and IPic had PLUSH seating and your order food for the seats and staff/waiters being them. Not us waiting in line 20min just to order. Plus the food should come on actual plates. Not in a plastic box like this place. Might sound boujee but if you're going to label yourself a certain way you should be transparent. The seats were so small/tight. I felt like I was literally sitting on top of the person next to me. It was a full showing so it wasn't very uncomfortable. I could literally hear the person next to be breathing! Also, two people brought infants into the theater...not that it's the theaters fault but really!? They screamed half way through the film. Come on folks. Oh and my "dine-in" meal that I ordered. Never came to my seat. I had to walk up to the concession stand and let them know. They didn't offer a refund or apology. They had me wait for my order after the film was done and packed it up To-Go. Needless to say I don't think I'll come back. Once you've tasted true luxury theater experience in Cinépolis or iPic like theaters, it's hard to come to places like this. Oh and price was $16.75 per ticket. The other far more advanced theaters mentioned above are $19.75-$21.50 range. Worth the extra few bucks, go to those instead. read more

I am an AMC stubs member and I am here at least 3 times a week. The staff is nice and they don't check your bag so you can bring in snacks. My only complaint is the AMC App is super glitchy and when I cancel it still uses one of my 3 weekly reservations UGH! Lastly, I do appreciate how clean their theaters are and the sitting room. read more

I have been wanting to try this place for a while but since covid happened, I wanted to wait a bit longer. I wanted to see Shang-Chi and my brother wanted to try the dine-in menu that they had. I had ordered the tickets on the amc app as well as the food before we were inside the mall. A lady sat in front of the entrance and scanned my qr code for the tickets. We found our seats and only another small group of people were inside the same movie time. The food was brought to our seats 15 minutes by a staff member after we sat down. We had ordered the Big bite sample ($16.29), Pepperoni Flatbread ($13.99), and Bacon chicken macaroni ($13.99). For the price, it's not worth it, the portions was small, the taste was good but too much. At least we tried it, my favorite was the big bit sample plate that had boneless wings, pretzel bites, onion rings with cheese and marinara dipping sauces. The flatbread was crunchy and hot with a good amount of pepperoni. My brother liked the bacon macaroni the most; it had chopped pieces of boneless chicken pieces on top of macaroni and cheese pasta. The sauce was not salty or runny. The theater was quiet and cold. The screen and sound quality were clear. The chairs are heated as well, I had to turn mine off since I was getting too hot during the movie. The restrooms were clean. The staff was nice. The front lobby had a good amount of chairs if you have to wait for your group. Everyone was masked and was social distancing. read more

do not recommend this location. Not only was there no toilet paper in the bathrooms but we prepaid for food and the food never came. Service was requested multiple times and no one came. So what is the point? By the time the movie was over seemed like registers were closed so there was no way to get a refund for the food that was never delivered to our seats, and at that point it would've been more of a hassle to sit and wait to try to get a refund fulfilled. such a waste of money read more

Went to see a movie and ordered dinner for the family. My daughters order didn't arrive. They had run out of mozzarella sticks. We had ordered them hours ago. They never notified us ahead of time. So I had to leave my food to get cold and miss part of the movie to go order something else. The closest item in price, chicken wings, were $2 more. I asked that we be comped that difference because of the hassle. They declined. That's bad service in my opinion. read more

For the movie experience, the Dolby Theater set-up is top notch! The seats recline, there are speakers built in to the chairs and the you feel like you are in the middle of the action. This gets 5 stars. However, if you're going to call yourself "Dine-in" you should make it convenient and simple for your patrons to dine-in. This concept is anything but... How naive of me to show up at the start of the film thinking I could order food to my seat, like they sell you. Bottom line... Don't come expecting to be fed during your dine-in movie. I'm so excited for the city of Montclair to finally have a theatre again. I love the outside look of the theatre and the long escalator. I went on a Wednesday night and the theatre was packed. There was no social distancing, which is not an issue for me since I'm vaccinated. I saw Fast 9 and my experience was great. The theatre was clean and comfy. I saw the movie in IMAX and it was crisp and clear. The reclining seats were also very comfortable. I highly recommend this checking this theatre out. read more

Horrible experience will not be coming back. Food order was missing items. Josh, (The only Josh working here) was extremely rude and condescending with my wife when she was explaining her issue. He went to check with the kitchen manager and basically insinuated that my wife was lying about items missing from our burgers. We spent $60 on burgers and he offered us 1 drink voucher and 1 small popcorn voucher for our inconvenience. Apparently there is not a corporate number for AMC so I was told to leave them a message on Facebook or Instagram. I am not 12 years old, and I am not filing my complaint on social media. I was told to give the General Manager a call tomorrow. I will update my review with a resolution if we receive one. I will not be patronizing any AMC theaters in the future. $23 per ticket and $20 for a fast food burger and fries cooked in old grease... I'll pass. read more

Fun movie Date Night! Given this is a fairly new theater, the interior was very clean. The movie itself was at a comfortable volume as well. The seating, although capable of reclining, was a tad too cramped as I had felt that the attached food tray was a little too close. I love the dine in feature of this theater and I decided to order the flatbread pizza. It was filling, however, the selection was limited, and some of what was on the menu was out of stock. read more

It was our first time at AMC dine-in In Montclair. We noticed my husband's recliner wasn't working at all. He needed to be able to recline down due to a recent surgery. I brought our issue to Josh's attention he immediately walked back with me to check out the recliner. Meanwhile he allowed my husband to sit in a working recliner. Since the movie had already begun and couldn't check what was wrong with the seat, Josh kindly brought us guests tickets to come back and in joy another movie seating all together. I was more than happy to see that this movie theater was open. Although it was out first time visiting, we had a very good experience. Employees were following all major COVID regulations, and were very friendly. I purchased the tickets online via app. After signing up to be a member, i received the Tuesday discount which was a plus. When choosing our seats, the app did NOT allow us to purchase any seats near other customers. This shows how committed they are to help stop the spread of COVID. The popcorn was great. And seats were very comfy with good size arm resters and little tables for your drinks and snacks. We went for the Dolby Cinema experience and had a great experience with the A/V, but that was limiting due to the uncomfortable seats and dirty auditorium. The staff though courteous, weren't very helpful perhaps due to lack of knowledge. There is plenty of parking and electric chargers in the parking lot. I would come back for the cinematic experience but may consider another AMC for the overall experience. read more

It's been a long time since Montclair Place, formally the Montclair Plaza, has had a movie theatre. Went in for the last showing of the night of 'The Marksman'. I went to this AMC theater on 7/26/23. What a great experience. The young woman taking tickets had the perfect personality for being the first point of contact for the theater. She was friendly and extremely helpful as we explained we were waiting for several people. At the counter, MADISON showed exemplary customer service. She was thorough in explaining the food delivery service and even offered suggestions, which we took. She was professional and friendly. That girl knows her stuff. We felt like valued customers. As for the theater, the seats were comfortable and during a 3 hour movie, the seat warmers/lumbar cushion were appreciated. read more

Be careful purchasing alcohol from here. We were kicked out over a truly can THAT WE PURCHASED from the bar. The supervisor Lindsey pulled us from watching lilo and stitch out of all movies to tell us we were getting kicked out for bringing outside alcohol. We were confused because their bartender have given us the can. That's when the "super" security guard Jose stepped in and started trying to force his supposed power over the situation. He escalated everything into a shouting match and the supervisor Lindsey did nothing to stop it other than threaten my party we wouldn't get a refund if we didn't stop. We ended up being escorted out to the front where we confronted the bartender who gave us the can who had also admitted to giving it to us. By that point it was too late. The security had pulled out his aluminum stick and he was ready for war. Luckily the GM Mike overheard the commotion and stepped in to save the big man with a stick. After speaking with Mike he refunded us our money and tried his best to keep everything calm. What's crazy is there were two parties sitting on opposite sides of us that had every reason to be pulled aside. One a set of teens who couldn't keep their hands off of each other the other had buzz balls on deck. So why were we picked on? Needless to say I'll be in contact with corporate to let them know about the situation with both the supervisor Lindsey and "security" Jose. read more

If you complain, "Sorry, nothing we can do". I guess the theater policy requires workers to play with their cell phones, stand around BS-ing, and stand around waiting until the food gets cold before it can be delivered to a customer. Came to check out this theater for the first time to see Top Gun Maverick. We were disappointed by this theater. 1- Seats so not fully recline. Your feet go about half way up which leaves your knees bent in a weird position. And the seats are a bit narrow, which caused me to feel a bit claustrophobic with the tray table. 2- The theater was so HOT! Turn on the A/C! It was so uncomfortable. Most of the time, theaters are so cold you have to bring a blanket. Not this one. Please don't be cheap, crank the air! Other than that, it's a theater. Nothing too special for a brand new theater. I'd skip this place and go to Regal Ontario Mills. read more

The holidays are usually represented to the act of giving. The time spent with loved ones and good times all around. With everything going on, sometimes one can be forgetful and become distracted. Today I came to the movies, purchased tickets, got in and proceeded to buy refreshments and food. By the time I wanted to pay for dining, I realized my Apple Pay did not work due to the scanner not functioning at the time. With no wallet and no cash in hand I thought I was going to enjoy my movie without food. The kind gentleman in the white Christmas sweater by the name of Devin was nice enough to wave the fees for me today so that I can proceed to my movie. Unfortunately, for a newer theater, everything that you'd suspect from a DINE-IN type can be confirmed. While the chair that I sat in was comfortable, you could see some visible scratches on the tray. My friend complained about being able to smell some odor coming from around where we sat. Restrooms were meh. Concessions are to be expected. Expensive no matter where you go. Just can't seem to escape spending over $60 coming to the theaters these days. Anywhere around $20-30 for the ticket, then getting a drink and popcorn combo can burn you out another $20-$30. Definitely could have been way better. read more

Went to this location twice, thought since it was pretty new it would be a great experience. Machines three off them didn't work when trying to buy tickets so had to go inside to get them it took a while for someone to come help. Then they were rude barely looked up at me at all was talking down the whole time and then a coworker walked up and they started chatting completely forgetting we are standing there waiting, finally gave us our tickets. Went to our theater room and it was still dirty popcorn all under the seats and some trash though out. The seats that we chose were a bit sticky Lucky I had wipes. The movie Quality was good. We decided to go on another time again to this theater because it's convenient, thought it can't be that bad again.... Was wrong All the womans bathrooms had no toilet paper! It was easier to buy the tickets this time through the machines outside ,went in again went to our seats and again it was dirty I don't think that they're cleaning them the way they should be there was popcorn left all over the place all under the seats as you're walking up to your seating area you can see the trash under the seats and between. It was very disappointing I don't think I'll be going back to this one again. For it being a new location and kinda expensive I definitely thought it would be way more cleaner read more

Pros: They have dine-in and will bring food to you. Cons: Seats are comfy unless your butt is kind of wide like mine, make sure your other wide butt friend doesn't sit next to you. I don't like the buttons on the inside panel, my thigh has a mind of it's own and pranks me during the movie. Floors are dirty...The poor staff can't keep up with the mess, makes it unpleasant for the rest of people coming in feeling the greasy arm rests and crab walking around the spilled drinks on the floor. It's like going into an aftermath of a nursery. AMC, may need to hire more peeps at this location to clean up in between shows. Going to give this another go in a week and see if same results. read more

This is my favorite theater to go to. I never had any bad experiences. The recliner seats are great and it always appears to be clean enough (though I can't see in darkness). The food is always GREAT. Their royal bacon brie burger is one of the best burgers I've had for some reason, it must be the ingredients they use. It's a pricey experience for a day to visit and eat here other than a Tuesday (where tickets are discounted) but it's worth it. The experience of reclining in the seat just enjoying the movie and having your amc burger and ice cream brownie be delivered to you is great....Treat yourself don't cheat yourself read more

Not sure why there are a bunch of bad reviews since this is a fairly new theater, but the only issue I have is with the availability of some items. Other than that, every time I've gone (morning, afternoon, evening on weekdays and weekends), the counters have been clean at the concession area and soda machines. The restrooms have been clean, and the theaters have been clean with sound and picture calibrated well. I've watched all dolby, IMAX, and standard format at this theater and have not had an issue. read more
