Been craving pizza lately and fortunately for me Pizza N Such happened to be in the area I was going to! A friend and I ordered the Bee Kind pizza on their Mini Monday special which is a 6x6 Detroit style pizza, a side of onion rings, and a couple of IPAs to wash it all down with. I've never had Detroit style pizza mainly because it never really interested me (not a fan of thick doughy pizza) and I already know based on the "real" Detroit style pizzas that I've seen, this isn't that. In fact, it was thinner than I expected but no complaints here. Anyway, it was absolutely bangin'. Big bold flavors that jump out and is very rich. This pizza satisfied my craving for SURE. The 6x6 sounded a lot bigger on paper, but it was actually pretty small when it came out. It's a good snack for 2 people, but for 1 person it would definitely be filling. Their onion rings were FIRE. Seriously. Some of the best onion rings I've had in a long time. Very well seasoned breading and perfectly cooked. The breading was crispy, but not crunchy. I love craggly, thick onion rings, but sometimes those do a number on the roof of your mouth. These? I could eat 'em all day. Service was great although it did kinda take a little too long for the food to come out, but I guess it was worth the wait. I love the inside of the space too. With all due respect, the pizza here is a 3/10 very limited flavor. Lack of flavor overall, chicken / pizza was bland. We ordered the chicken pesto pizza. And to my surprise no pesto, lack of pesto flavor/sauce. What revived, the pizza was adding pepper flakes(gave it flavor). Chicken Parm was a 5/10 was decent enough for me to finish! Stopped by Pizza N Such on a Sunday after noticing their sign for sell pizza by the slice. Didn't know it was a sit down restaurant. We stayed to stay and order a slice anyway. One slice came out to be $7.68 after tax, which felt a bit on the pricer side. This place itself feels a bit dated. No music playing, lights were off, very low key vibe. That said, there were still a good number of people dining in, which made us decide to give it a try. It took 15mins for them to prepare my pizza. It was a solid size and tasted good. Pizza N Such is located in the Claremont Village area. I came here to order a takeout order for my boyfriend and I to snack on. Parking in the Claremont Village area can be difficult, but there are a lot of small public lots, street parking, or even a parking garage if you're willing to walk. I decided to do the build your own pizza option. The 10" Base Pizza ($17.50) comes with their house pizza sauce and mozzarella. I added pepperoni and sausage ($1.55 per topping on a 10"). They said it would be about 15 minutes but I waited between 20-25 minutes for the pizza. Staff came to check on me during my wait so I think they even felt like it was taking too long. As for the pizza itself, I immediately felt like there was TOO MUCH CRUST when I opened up the box. We like the dough they use but it could have been crispier. We actually threw it in the air fryer to get a better crisp. The sausage they use is a grounded sausage, and it was only thrown in the center of the pizza so the distribution wasn't great. We liked the pizza but it definitely could have been better. For that price I would be better off going to Blaze and getting as many toppings as I want. read more

always a fun time here. the service, food, and environment never disappoints. my partner and i usually go for the greek or antipasto salad, and a great special 10" (or 12") pizza. located on the corner of 2nd and yale, it's a local spot that we come to every so often when we're craving pizza (n such)! we also opted to try a new item recently, the fried zucchini! it came out piping hot, and the batter tasted nice with the ranch dressing on the side. overall, a very enjoyable time and great food. read more

Love this place for the food! Service has always been blah, not the worst but they seem to hire people who are a little less than interested in service lol. That aside, can't go wrong with the pizza , sauce 9/10, cheese 10/10, pepperoni 9/10, toppings 9/10, crust 10/10, and I love all the dishes . Favorite is eggplant parm, it's authentic and satisfying! When it comes to trying out new pizza joints I want to believe that all of them have the power to wow me. And most of the time I'm pleasantly surprised at how great and different some pies are. Pizza N Such's garlic pie with sausage was okay. It didn't really wow. The crust was good, firm but chewy just like I like. And the sausage was serviceable--a little too crumbled over what I prefer and without any interesting seasoning on it. The sauce too was pretty good, but not spectacular. But I think what let me down the most was the jarlic topping, even after I asked if they used roasted garlic over minced. This garlic was as minced, as tasteless, and as negligible as they come. Everyone knows my number one topping is fresh garlic, whether roasted or diced. But when the garlic lets me down like it did with this meal, it's hard to focus on any other merits the restaurant may have. The space is nice. And the service was great. But I come from the pizza to these pies, and, if those pies are going to be a letdown, it's hard for me to want to come back. read more

This place is really good! Starts off with a fun location in historic old bank building built in 1912... Lots of booths which I love! Super attentive and friendly staff! The pizza looks and tastes like the Neapolitan type because it has a thin base that puffs up on the edges around the sauce and cheese. Its tastes awesome and the crust is like candy. Make sure you have some dressing to dip it in. It would be sacrilegious to leave the crusts on your plate uneaten!! The pastrami sandwich is made with Boar's Head meat and is great. Thin slices, zero fat, and grilled or put into the pizza over to melt everything together. Roll was fantastic too!! Total winner!! Tried the chicken Parm, which is deep-fried, as well as the spaghetti and meat sauce. Pasta was al dente and good. Started with an enormous wedge salad with blue cheese!! We spent around $66 on our order, which is already pretty pricey for three items, and they still gave us a hard time over an extra side of ranch. We didn't realize ranch cost extra when placing the order, and when we said never mind after hearing the price, the employee responded by saying we were "only getting it because of the salad." I'm sorry, but if customers are spending over $50 at your restaurant, acting stingy over a tiny cup of ranch is not a good look. Charging $2 for a tiny side of ranch is honestly ridiculous. We ordered some wings, cheese bread, and the hot honey pizza. I wanted to love the pizza but the hot honey was a bit lackluster. The wings on the other hand were to die for! I highly recommend the "Bee Kind" Detroit style pizza it is so good with the ricotta pepperoni and hothoney. Very rich and filling. Delicious. There are a nice variety of taps if you like your craft beer. I can always find something I haven't tried. I forgot to take a picture of the specials but I believe they have an individual pizza on Mondays we can get your own mini bee kind, pepperoni or cheese. Every day you can get a slice until 5 PM it's a nice big signs and there's a couple of choices. It took me forever to get around to this place because it's sort of sleepy looking on the outside . The service here first of all was great. Love the inside decor and it feels very homely. The food here I felt was a little bit pricey. For example, the three meatballs were not very big meatballs, but for three meatballs it was $14. What happened? This use to be my go to Pizza splurge place in Claremont. I ordered a pizza yesterday 1/2 cheese and 1/2 pepperonI. The pizza was dry. I can't really explain it but usually pizza sticks together because of cheese and or toppings. over the years, we've been coming to this restaurant and we drive we make the drive all the way out here from Long Beach just to eat at this pizzeria. The service is excellent here. The pizzas are great. I love the environment. It's very quiet plenty of room to sit down and the prices are pretty reasonable, but the pizzas and service are just spot on. I love this place. It's actually the building is inside of the restaurants inside of an old building that formally used to be a bank so it has a lot of this classic field to the restaurant and I love coming to hang out and then probably going to the shopping center nearby walking around on the boulevard to some of the stores that are nearby but we always love coming here as a great place to come and eat pizza, especially with the family. read more

I don't know about you, but for me that's a HUGE plus. I'm very picky with pizza so I don't want to committ to a whole pie without knowing it's good. Best wings in town! I have been here a few times with my gorgeous, busty wife and the atmosphere is great! This is no pizza dive, Chillis or CPK where your local sleazy uncle flirts with college students. THIS is a classy establishment, the service is always great and the food exceptional. This place is located in the heart of the super Claremont Village. If you're not familiar with this area there is public parking lots all over or street parking if you can find it. We came on a Saturday night so it was pretty busy. We waited about 10 minutes before we were seated. Considering how busy it was they were pretty efficient. But food did take a little bit longer to come out which is to be expected since it was a Saturday night. We ordered the deep dish, pepperoni pizza, and the mozzarella sticks. We were excited to try the pizza, but to be honest, the mozzarella sticks were the star of the show. They were seasoned really well and you could eat them even without the dipping sauce. The pizza was also very good, but because it took so long to come out, we kind of filled up on the appetizer. I've been to this place twice. The first time was to try the Detroit pizza and the second time was a New York style. Both times the pizza's have been so dry. To the point where you have to do one of those hard gulps to swallow. The salad we got was so plain just green stuff some tomatoes and cheese. So expensive for just green stuff like 3 slices of tomatoes cut in half and cheese. Now the star of the show was the ranch dressing. This pizza place star was the ranch, can you believe that! I could have drank it, it was so good. Now the service is what you would get at a restaurant with first time workers, whether it's true or not I don't know but it felt like that. Would I eat her again, maybe but not by choice. A little tip, don't go 2 hours before closing cause that's when the service is nonexistent. read more
