I love this amc. Has premium formats, comfortable seats, and friendly staff. MOST of the time the temperature is nice, but I've been a few times where it felt way too hot. My biggest gripe is the clientele. This isnt AMC's fault, but for the love of god if you go to the movie theater just be respectful that other people are there to watch movies. read more

WATCH OUT.... The folks are simply crooks! Many of the seats are obstructed view (dirty glass that cuts right through the middle of the screen IMHO is obstructive!). It's so exciting when don't stfu when you're watching a movie. So exciting! That's exactly why I love buying tickets to watch a movie! I can't wait to do it again, so highly emotionally immature and self-absorbed commentary can bleed through! Let's not forget this AMC destroyed their dine-in functionality, so the only you have to eat now is the small amount they have which is mostly snacks then actual food. The staff is always so sweet and helpful though. No shade on them or even the theatre itself because even non-Dolby has recliners and that's why we come here mostly. Couldn't be more disappointed. Drove 40 minutes to watch Wicked in IMAX. Non recliner old seats, and the smallest IMAX screen I've ever seen. If my kids weren't with me I'd be demanding my money back. These tickets are really expensive and not even a little worth it. So disappointed. read more

I was having issues with purchasing tickets from the App. At the customer service desk I was having more issues paying from the App. Both Christy & Alexandra worked together to assist me, my App & purchase my tickets. & no, I was not holding up any lines. Yes to stadium seating, yet no recliners...only rocking...a first for me. Quality wise was great with the enhanced audio & a clear projection. This theater: +Dine-In Delivery to Seat +Coca-Cola Freestyle +MacGuffins Bar +Food & Drinks Mobile Ordering Pre-Pandemic I was at the movies 2-3x a week & took great advantage of the A-List Stubs program. As well as the $5 Tuesdays - which is now Discount Tuesdays. To participate in $5 Discount Tuesdays, all you have to do is become a Member of the AMC Stubs Program ($15 Annually), Stubs A-List ($19.95) or the AMC Stubs Insider, which is free to join. Not sure I'll revisit my A-List membership as my in-theater attendance has declined. Yet, happy to see the friendly & helpful customer service is still present. Food and a movie... but it is not as nice as I am used to.... The seats in the theater we were in don't recline. They are comfortable but they are not COMFORTABLE! They don't come around and take your order, bring you your food and drink or anything like that. You stand in a line in the lobby order your food and bring it in yourself. There is a separate bar if you want adult drinks. The theater was ok... screen was average, sound was average... the place was kind of clean... I guess I am just used to the full experience of dinner and a movie! Being waited on, real, good food not just junk food, a selection of great drinks all brought to me in my comfortable reclining seat. Look this was still an upgrade... but it could go so much further! Not a bad place to catch a movie... but not what I really expect these days for the price of a ticket! read more

Saw a movie in IMAX 3-D and the presentation was spectacular. People at the food stand were very nice. Parking was easy. My complaint is the seats were in bad shape. They didn't recline and were lumpy and uncomfortable. read more

AMC North Point Mall 12 - Bar - Cinema Near Me - Alpharetta, Georgia

Came here to see a movie in a theater, our first visit in any movie theater in well over a year. There is lots of free parking available in the large lots within a short walking distance to the AMC entrance, which is on the outside of the mall (so customers don't walk into the the mall to get to the theater). When you walk in, you have to queue up in one of the two lines next to each other: a short line for customers who previously bought their tickets online (via AMC Stubs A-List membership), and a longer line for customers who want to buy their ticket(s). Either way, customers have to select their seat, so it's best to buy tickets online early due to a wider choice of available seats. Concessions food and drink are on the pricey side, but AMC Stubs A-List memberships provide customers discounts at the concessions stand too! Employees' levels of customer focus varied so drastically. Some employees were so welcoming, seemed genuinely happy to have customers and made sure that customers had a great experience. On the other hand, other employees seemed like they were just going through the minimum motions, didn't smile, didn't seem to interact or talk with customers and took their time. The theater that we went to (I forgot which number it was) had recliners throughout the theater. Our first seats were in the top row. However, these were probably the worst seats in the theater, since, when we reclined, the screen was at about the same viewing level as our shoes. Added to this viewing issue was that the moveable tray table was also just about at the same viewing level, and, with a bucket of popcorn placed on the tray, it was hard to see the movie screen with the popcorn bucket and our shoes blocking our view. Oh, and the top of the plexiglass designed to function as a safety barrier created a line that we could see across the screen. Don't get the top level seats unless you're really tall and don't plan on reclining. A quick visit to the ticket office solved our problem, and an employee changed our seats to the ADA floor level recliners. I love freshly popped movie theater popcorn! And it's so much tastier with extra butter. AMC provides customers access to the butter dispensers at the butter stations, so we can put as little or AS MUCH butter as we want on our popcorn! This theater has many more items to eat and drink, such as nachos, hot dogs, beverages (Coca-Cola Freestyle, Icees, bottled drinks and coffee), ice cream bars, and candy, and they can be delivered to customers' seats. Burgers, sandwiches, chicken fingers, and various snacks can be purchased at the concessions stand. The theater sound system and lighting were perfect, the recliners comfortable, and the recliner controls worked great. The men's restroom was clean and fully stocked. All of the other public spaces were very clean. read more

This is the first time I've watched a movie at the AMC Dine-In North Point Mall 12. I stopped going to AMC theaters around 10 years ago when they required customers to pay for their rewards program. I typically attend the Regal Hollywood 18 or Movie Tavern Theater in Roswell. This is definitely a nice theater. Everything looks brand new. They have two large theaters, one showing movies on the IMAX screen and another showing movies with Dolby surround sound. I visited this theater on Thursday, August 20, because all of the AMC theater reopened with older movies for only 15 cents each. They required customers to wear masks inside the theater, excluding when you are eating or drinking. They offer deluxe seating. The seats rock slightly, but they do not recline. Some of the theaters provide a small swivel table to place your food. The IMAX theater does not have these tables. Based upon the new condition of the theater, I would definitely consider returning, but the high ticket and concession prices might keep me from coming back anytime soon. If you are looking to see a new release in a deluxe theater with reclining seats, then I would recommend the Movie Tavern Theater in Roswell. They have $5 tickets for new releases every Tuesday, and they give a free small popcorn to their VIP Rewards members. read more

This AMC is located within North Point Mall between Von Maur and Macys. This location is an elevated experience. We frequently go here because of the Dolby Theater. There is an IMAX as well. We saw the 355 last night it was very good. Loved the female cast. We are AMC Stubs A list members. We can see up to three movies a week. And try to. Menu is limited now because of Covid but usually there is a plethora to choose from. In this day and age it is good to support AMC bc you could just stay home and stream. Pretty clean movie theater I don't know if it's because the Covid standard have to be kept up let's see how this goes for the next couple months. I'm in AMC A-list member so I get to see three movies a week with a monthly price of $24 each month. I do want to comment on the dine in movie theater feature where they bring you food to your seat. It worked pretty well I had the blue bacon burger with Gouda cheese it was actually really good! The fries were done well and all the food was very warm when it got to my delivery to my seat. I was impressed. I couldn't take a picture of the burger because it was in the theater and I didn't want to have to use flash. read more

Pretty nice for an AMC! I've been going to North Point Mall for years and never tried out this location, and I wasn't disappointed. We came to see Where the Crawdads Sing and were pleased with the cleanliness of the theatre and the nice reclining seats. They do seem pretty understaffed, but that's not really the business' fault. Theater owners are complaining about streaming keeping customers away. Well, AMC completely ruined their chance to get me back as a customer! As a vaccinated, and older, customer I decided to return to the local suburban Atlanta AMC Dolby theater on Saturday night July 10, 2021. I have been in this theater about a dozen times in the past. The AMC website totes "beer and wine are always available" ... except on a Saturday night. If I'm going to pay concession prices it's not going to be for "soda". On top of that, I noted two of the three ice machines at the regular concession fountains were not working (in the summer heat) and the restaurant did not have a full menu. So if movie theaters want customers come back but fail to provide any type of service then what's the point?!? Service here has always been inconsistent in the past, but I would have considered AMC would have stepped it up a bit for this opening weekend of a major film "post-yet ongoing-pandemic". Did the previous weekend's F9 crowd enjoy the bar being closed??? AMC failed this longtime customer miserably. I got a refund and went home and bought the film off D+... and will continue to do so. read more

I subscribe to the AMC A-List so I don't have to worry about paying for individual movies and this is my preferred AMC to use it at. We come here multiple times a month typically and always have a pleasant experience. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the seats are comfortable and the theaters well kept. Although I have another AMC a bit closer to me, I drive a few minutes further to use this one due to the better seating options and it never disappoints. My only complaint is the incredibly high price of food; however, that is an AMC company-wide and really movie theater-wide issue everywhere. read more

Two years in a row - I find myself in the Atlanta area watching a movie. Guess that means this review, along with many others, are long over due. Parking. Ample. This theater is located at the North Point Mall. I've not seen the parking lots full however, keep in mind, both visits were during the week and during the day. The term "dine in" seems to be used randomly these days. After you order your food, your order is delivered to your seat but no service afterwards. Not that it bothers me however my first experience in a dine in theater was full service. But the service was great and friendly so no complaints. The theater and restrooms were clean and well maintained. Not sure there's much more I can say other than I am a fan of this location and as an A List member, it's more than possible that I'll be back again. And again. read more

No accommodations or anything. My son was the only one not eating his food. I ordered his cheese burger 1st and still had to come in and out the movie theater to lesser the burger 3 times which is insane! Just saw Air here the other day. I've been to this location countless times since it's so close to me, but this was my first visit here in a while. The theater was clean, bathroom was clean, and the staff was polite and friendly. Its been a min since ive been to this theater but i came here for a date and there was no line to purchase tickets which was great. We went around 6-7p we order food and they gave us our receipt and let us know they will be bringing it us which was nice. We were in theater eight we got our seats. The food came before the actual movie started which was great. We went to go see woman, king and the quality of the picture was amazing. Sounds was great the chairs recline & was very comfy. Please avoid this movie theatre and go to Studio Movie Grill instead. I recently visited AMC North Point on Friday, 5/10, with a group of girlfriends and had such a horrible experience. As with any girls' nights, as some of us arrived, we went to get a glass of wine at the bar. Sadly, the "Bartender" was in no mental condition to be working behind a bar. He was very confused and uncomfortable while asking for drink orders and pouring drinks. When the remainder of our party arrived, he refused service saying that the previous party had been "over-served." I have many issues with this, but I'll start with the ones that make the most sense. 1. He poured one drink per guest in the first party. 2. Had we been drinking beforehand, which we had not, wouldn't he have refused service to us and not continue to pour us drinks? Refusing service to the next party for an assumption you made on others makes absolutely no sense nor is it an appropriate business practice. I respectfully left the theatre when I heard what had happened and asked for the Manager. The Manager proceeded to come to the bar and said, "It is not worth it for me to get involved. I will have to take my Bartender's word for it." The laziness is irritating in itself, but the choice to put someone mentally incapable in a position where they are responsible for serving alcohol is the biggest issue. Thankfully, there are better choices when choosing to spend an evening at the movies, and AMC North Point is not one of them. read more

I'm not sure I should disclose how much we go to the movies, but I blame Marvel, DC and Disney for great content! Generally we go to Avalon, simply because of convenience; however, we occasionally venture to North Point AMC. We paid ~$15 per ticket for IMAX and about another $20 for a flatbread & water. So in all ~$70 for a afternoon matinee. The seats (I put a pic) were quite worn, definitely needing an update. The flatbread was just terrible, which I was so disappointed about because our original plan was lunch during the movie. Oh and wait, they don't have tables - so should never have offered real food because I'm juggling on my lap as we shared our appetizer. Given that there is no tables there is no space for a server to deliver, which was disruptive as he didn't even try to avoid blocking the screen when movie started. The movie itself was great and to be honest I will probably go back if the timing works with our schedule. But I won't be happy about it and I definitely won't be paying IMAX prices or ordering food. read more

I'm starting to be spoiled by all of these movie theaters will full dining experiences. This theater is also quite nice besides having so many options of putting thousands of calories in my body as I sit for 2 hours...... I love the comfortable seats and the sound was great. Crisp, clear, and not too loud.This theater was impeccably clean on my visit from the lobby to the bathrooms. There is a ton of parking because it's on the end of the mall. Friendly and well staffed. I only have one issue. It's with the piece of plexiglas on the top of the seats as you get to top of the theater. If you you recline even a little, its right in your line of sight. Kind of a bummer if you really like to stretch it all the way out, like I normally do. Other than that I really enjoyed my visit and plan on coming back often. Highly recommended read more

My experience at AMC North Point was pretty much in and out. I didn't get to see much the theater had to offer because our movie was starting soon. On this day, we saw the opening of Avengers: Infinity War. When I purchased the tickets, I thought I originally bought IMAX tickets. When I get to the attendant, he tells me "Wait. Let me get you your glasses." I honestly didn't know it would be 3D IMAX. This was the first 3D movie I've seen and it was by accident. The 3D IMAX is very good. I suggest it for anyone who plans on watching a movie with A LOT of action. The tickets are roughly $20 a ticket, which are expensive, but I felt like I was helping the Avengers fight Thanos. Very cool experience! Overall, I liked this theater. My overall experience was positive. read more

Worst experience ever. Brought 3 ticket for Space Jam. Get to the theater. Buy food for my kids and I. Get to the theater. Watching previews for over an hour to find out that the guy at the ticket counter gave me tickets for Saturday showing at 4:45 instead of Friday. Then wanted to charge me $40 for the tickets after he and the ticket person made mistakes. No Manager came to help. Everyone was unprofessional and didn't fix the situation. This is our favorite theater hands down. We love the food selection, the recliner seating, the full bar, and how consistently clean it is. I will say some of the theaters are too warm at times if I had any complaints. The CocaCola freestyle machine let's you choose from hundreds of drink options, the pretzel bites are the best thing to snack on. They are soft and salty and come with cheese and honey mustard. You order and then the server brings them in to your theater. The parking lot has an electric car charger. Be sure to join AMC stubs to get all the benefits. read more

I ordered dinner at the AMC Studio Grille on North Point Pkwy in Alpharetta, GA. I got to the theatre ahead and ordered my food & drinks. I waited and waited, and when the movie was almost over. I asked one of the servers what was going on. And he tells me, the kitchen is too backed up because they received 400 orders all at once. I'm not sure what is going on with AMC, but I would think the theatre, and kitchen would be fully staffed during Father's Day weekend. I am very disappointed with my first experience with this theatre. I will never return. read more
