So I was able to get here finally to go to a comedy show. If you're in the city, it's a little far out but it's still a really good environment and it's worth it if the comedian is what you want to see. It's free parking because it's out in Alpharetta and it's in a shopping center area so you don't have to worry about paying for parking like you would in the city . You'll come in and immediately be greeted by the bar. If you want to drink, this is your first chance to do so. The bar actually has a nice selection so you can probably find what they're looking for, so that's good ! You'll walk back and go to the showing area and there are all sorts of tables there that you sit at. The reason that there are tables there is that you can actually order food during the show as well. They have a waitstaff that will come around and take care of you. Our waitress was really good and she took care of everybody. I have no complaints about that. I tried the Caesar wrap and some French fries just because I wanted something to snack on and it was pretty good. Nothing to write home about but it was still pretty good . The show itself can vary depending on what you're doing or who you're seeing but the comedians we saw were top-tier for the most part. I had no complaints about that and they tore the house down . If you are walking into the showing area, you'll see promotions on the wall about who's going to be coming next. You can definitely check that out and see who all is going to be next on your list of people to see . Overall it was a really good experience and they had really good customer service. The show was hilarious. All in all it was a worthy trip out to Alpharetta and I would definitely consider doing it again . read more

We were finally able to catch a show at Helium, and we had a great experience. The place is a good size, and there isn't a bad view anywhere. Depending on where you sit, you may be very close to other people, but that is pretty typical for comedy clubs. Food quality was as expected for a comedy club. Drinks were really good and strong. The waitress was nice and came to check on us often, which we appreciated. Obviously the comedy quality will vary based on the performer, but we saw Imari Martin, who was fantastic. The opening act was great well. Overall, we had a really fun time, and we will be back. It's great to have a comedy club option in the suburbs. read more

I have come two more times since the last review. The first time we came to see Godfrey (sold-out show). We were very disappointed to see how they sit random strangers with you. The table is already tiny. There's barely room for two people, so having two additional strangers sit with you and try to share a table is awkward. They need square tables with more space. I had to keep my wristlet in between my legs all night because there was no room for it on the table and one of the drinks got spilled because there's no room for four people to have food and drinks on that tiny table. Whoever the bartender was that evening also forgot to put any alcohol in the drinks cause they were just straight cranberry juice. & a waste of $! We came again last night for the Guy Torry show and the bartender was much better. The drinks were strong & great! The mystic magic cocktail was great! The place wasn't as crowded so we didn't have random strangers sitting with us. Both times Jace was our server and he was excellent. We tried the pretzel bites. They're decent but to charge five dollars for a side of queso is insane, given that their menu is very limited. The loaded fries were just ok. This is a great place when it's not a sold-out show. If it's a sold-out show make sure you bring a party of four or you're going to be with strangers unless you pay extra for the VIP and you're in the very front row where it's only two per table. I had a great experience here last nigh with an affinity group from church. We gathered to see Marcus D. Wiley and it was worth it. The event was very well attended. Parking was a little scarce once I found a spot it was cool. Seating is amble. The food is good but I had to remind the server that I had not received it after half-way through the show and I ordered my food as soon as I arrived. I ordered the burger but was brought out chicken fingers and fries. They got the drink and mozzarella cheese sticks right. It was a great experience but the kitchen gets quickly behind and can become overwhelmed. They can do the food serve component better. read more

The venue is really nice and clean. They send you an email ahead of time explaining the whole process like getting tickets, getting seated, ordering food, etc. We got there about an hour early and there were already quite a few people there. We were still able to sit with our friends but that might not be possible if it's really packed so definitely go early if you want to sit together. There's a 2 item minimum per person which I heard is standard for comedy shows but the food and drinks were overpriced and not good. One of our friends ordered tea and the server just brought hot water turns out they didn't have any tea bags so basically he just got a cup of hot water lol. Also, the servers were walking around during the show which was really distracting and kind of took away from the experience. We were asked to pay in the middle of the show which was also distracting and I felt like it was unnecessary. I think it's rude for the performer as well as you can hear people talk during the show. I really wish they had a better system for that. I don't understand why they can't wait until the show is done to hand us the bill. read more

Fun, intimate venue. We did not do reserved seating and were seated more towards the back but dead-center and loved our seats. Had dinner during the show. The Greek salad was good but it got really dark once the show started so was somewhat challenging to eat. Service was a little slow but we still got what we needed. The show was great, easy getting in and out, the lobby bar was nice. Long line for the restroom once the show got out. Overall we really enjoyed the evening here. read more

Had a great first experience at this comedy club. We came to see Damon Wayans Jr. We got our tickets a few days before the show so all the reserved seatings were sold out so with the general admission's ticket if your party is only a party of 2 you are seated with another party of 2 as many of the tables are high top 4 seaters. Where we were seated was comfortable but I could see some people's areas being tight to get through. The room was spacious but still intimate enough for the comedian to engage with the crowd. There's a 2 minimum order per person that does not include anything purchased at the bar outside of the actual comedy room. The food selection was good for a comedy club venue and the prices were reasonable. We enjoyed the comedy show, the host, the openers and the venue overall. We plan on returning to see some other comedians that are shown to be coming to town in the next few months. read more

Love the location and atmosphere. If you pay the extra $10-$12 per ticket you avoid the seating issues mentioned in other reviews. I have had a blast at nearly every event I have seen, which is about 10. The only bad one was Chris kattan.... He was awful, but I can't really blame the club for that. Favorite shows so far are Duncan Trussel, Bryan Callen, and Kevin Nealon. They draw some great talent. The reserved seating typically gets us first or second row. For the drink minimum, I just order a double bourbon right at the beginning to cover the minimum and to avoid a subsequent interruption. read more

Had a super fun and enjoyable night. The wait to get in was a bit long because you do need to get in the line way before they start letting people in. Got couple cocktails from the bar while waiting, (note-these orders from the bar don't count towards to your required number of items) Similar to other comedy clubs, all food and drinks are over priced. Which I don't mind but at least it needs to worth it. Food were not bad, but the cocktails we got did did not taste very good. Felt like wasted the money on those. I don't understand the negative reviews for this place. We came here twice this week and LOVED it! We did a trivia event and also a stand-up show, both featuring David Koechner and Rob Maher and had a blast. They were both so funny!! My face hurt from smiling the whole night. There is a 2-item minimum, so we had to get drinks and a snack. It's comedy club bar food, so a lot of low-quality deep-fried stuff as one would expect at a bar. So the food wasn't great but the servers were kind, drinks were delicious and entertainment was top-notch so I still give it 5-stars overall. Ticket prices were reasonable and I know we'll be back for another show soon. read more

Great venue in the suburbs of N. Fulton Co. My first time attending a great show with a popular IG/ FB comedian who I follow EJ Speaks. Great set up quaint yet with open space. VIP tables recommend so you have plenty of space. Tables of 4 are too small and crowded especially if you order food. Food is not the best for the prices. Drinks were watered down and felt like it was a mocktail, that's a lot coming from a lightweight. Staff was very friendly . Enjoyed my visit. Apparently there are 2 show rooms and lucked out to get the larger of the 2. Overall this was a great local spot for those who may not want to drive into the city of Atlanta. I visited Helium Comedy Club for the very first time on a Saturday night. During the month of October, they had a deal for some shows where a select number of tickets were $10. I was luckily able to secure a $10 ticket! They require you to purchase 2 drink/food items, but the food and drinks are pretty good and reasonably priced. Wait until you are seated to order anything, because things purchased at the bar do not count! My ticket acted as a general admission ticket and doors opened around 30 minutes before showtime. I was seated in the front to the right of the stage, so it ended up being really great for the price. The staff was wonderful, and I loved how small and intimate The Other Room is (not sure how the main room is). Overall, I had such a great time at Helium and look forward to catching a show here again soon! read more

Inside, the place is clean, the pub food is good, and the drink menu is killer... The staff gives you all the feels they are genuinely the best... Love that we have a comedy club near by and we love to support the comedic community. We've been here twice and had a great time - once to see Sammy Obeid and again to see Cactus Tate. Both were great shows! Getting situated can be a bit rough, though. I love that they provide paper tickets, it's such a nice throw-back, but the line can really get backed up. It'd be great if they could offer electronic tickets. Also, having to show up half an hour to a full hour before a show to get your tickets, wait in line for the doors to open, then be directed to your seat is a bit much. The second go-round we opted for the reserved seating which was nice, I'm glad they offer that option! The food is hit or miss. The first visit I got their Caesar salad and it was fresh, with croutons, and a proper Caesar dressing, so I figured I'd go for it again. It was truly awful the second go round. The lettuce was old, there were no croutons (even though the menu even says that's included) and the chicken was pretty much a frozen chicken breast heated up. It was too tough. They don't give knives, either. I guess they changed the dressing as well and I was not a fan. I hope they change up the menu though, it'd really be great to see new additions here and there. The service is hit or miss. For the first show it was a packed house so it was tough to flag down someone for another drink. We wanted to box up our left overs, but no one even asked if we needed a box so we just left. For the second show it was a smaller audience and while we got our food right away, the drinks did take a while to get to us. All in all, the vibe is great and we'll definitely be going back to support more comics, but may need to either skip the food and stick to drinks only for that two item minimum or try something else from the menu instead. read more

Wait staff was fantastic. Super responsive and attentive. The wife and I decided to go catch a show here. So we got a Diet Coke and a mystic magic. Apparently they charge per Diet Coke refill. About 3.50 per refill(which I did not know until I got my bill). My wife got the mystic magic as a double and single. And she could not tell the difference between them. She said they tasted the same. The only difference was the double cost 4$more. So not sure if the double was just more juice Food was okay. Came out fast like 8minutes after placing the order. Wife got a Caesar salad and order of fries and I got the tenders and fries. Tenders were dry and chewy. And fries were crispy but after 2minutes they tasted stale. Place gets really cramped when waiting to enter and leave. There is really one entrance and exit for shows. read more

Honestly this was my first comedy blurb experience in general, so bear with me. First, we found it quite difficult to find because the sign that goes above the entrance is at the very top of the building which you can't really see from your car when driving... second, once inside they inform you about a 2 item minimum per person when seated for a comedy show. The venue expects about $50 per person AFTER ticket purchase. I still opted to order a drink at the bar in the atrium before you go to your seats. As true to nature, I ordered their version of the espresso martini, "the espresso haha" along with everything else including food it's not very memorable. Not much to complain about but not much to brag about. We did enjoy the experience in total but I'm going to give 3 stars for the order minimum. Personally, I find it tacky to impose a minimum per person to enjoy a comedy show. Just let people buy their comedy tickets and enjoy the club. Those that want to eat and munch, will! read more

I was excited to learn that there was a new comedy club not too far from my house, so when I saw they had a psychic medium scheduled on a night ai could attend, I thought it would be something fun and different to do. The space has a nice vibe and it seems like pretty much any seat in the house would be a decent one. They have a decent variety of food and drinks on the menu. We had gone to dinner prior to the show, so we didn't sample any of the food but the plates of people around us looked appetizing. There is a 2 item minimum per person, which hubby and I took care of with drinks. We had general admission seats but were assigned seats by staff on a first come, first served basis. As for the psychic medium, hubby and I remain skeptical about the authenticity of his gifts. We did not receive a reading but it was at least entertaining to watch. We will likely be back if they have any headliners that catch our attention or when we are looking for something different to do, but based on the service we received, I would say the whole experience rates right around 3 stars. It took 50 minutes to place an order for our drinks after sitting down and that was only because I flagged down one of the many servers who had been ignoring us while taking the orders of virtually everyone else around us. For a good while, it felt like maybe we were invisible. Once we got someone to help us, the timing was okay after that, but there was no reason it should have taken that long to get our order taken. If we had not eaten prior to arriving, I likely would have been rather hangry and the experience would have been even worse. I noticed a few signs about them hiring, so maybe they are just understaffed at the moment, but it was really annoying to see the tables around us getting their food and drinks way before anybody even asked us what we wanted. Hopefully service will be better on our next visit. There is definitely potential for this to be a great experience once they work out the kinks. read more

We got there about 6:10pm, picked our tickets up from the desk, & the doors opened at 6:30pm for the 7pm show. We ordered right away and were served the food pretty quickly. We ordered chicken tenders & fries (fries weren't hot) and ordered the pretzels, which I liked with the jalapeno queso. K wanted more salt on the pretzels for some reason, but I would come back and just order that with a coke. We also ordered the apple pie eggrolls, all rolled in sugar and fried, but we liked them! Everything was new and we even got 2 tables by ourselves because we had 5 people. I'll have to check back for other comedians & come back! read more

Fundamentally incapable of handling large crowds. Said doors open at 1 hour prior to show; I'm sitting here 15 minutes after the show was supposed to start still in line and waiting to get in. And they have the audacity to have some bullshit in the email confirmation saying if you don't show up more than 30 minutes early they hold the right to give your seat to someone else and that it isn't guaranteed? Literally all they do is book acts and host shows. You would think a venue would figure out how to manage the ins and outflows of individuals effectively and adhere to a schedule. I'm sure the talent doesn't like starting a half hour late because of their incompetence. read more

I like the variety of comedians they have been getting lately. The comedy shows have been a lot of fun, but they need improvement with the food and the process for getting seated. The food is really subpar. We have tried the basics like chicken tenders, egg rolls, brownie and a burger and only the brownie was decent. Since it's a two item minimum this is frustrating if you're not drinking. When you order a soft drink it comes in a cup with lots of ice and a refill is not included. I think they should just sell it in a bottle or can like the bottled water if you can't get a refill. As for the seating it's one huge line outside until they open the main door to let people in. If the weather is bad it is definitely a pain and very disorganized. They need a separate line for reserved seating outside and possibly stagger arrival times or something to keep from having such a long wait and line. I love having a comedy club in the Alpharetta area so I hope they can work on the food and the seating process. read more

My order for Don McMillan tickets for 3/18/26 said 7:30pm showtime and at 6pm you can get your actual entrance ticket and at 6:30 you can get your seat. We arrived just before 6:30pm and the tickets for entry said it was a 6pm show (much to my surprise). Don McMillan was very good of what we heard. We couldn't try the food since the show was already going. No email ever said the shows time was moved up to 6pm. We had $47 tickets which were reserved, but had to sit way over to the side. I guess the atmosphere is ok. I only saw it in the dark and at the end when we left after less than an hour there. At home, the emailed ticket receipt shows the 7:30pm start time. So much for a first time experience at Helium. It was a memorable date night, but not in a good way. read more

This review is for the club itself, not the show itself. We arrived early for the show and were directed into a narrow "cow chute"-style line. The earlier you arrive, the better seat you're escorted to -- though I would have preferred being able to select seats when purchasing tickets, without having to pay extra. It's a little unclear why that option isn't available. The club is clean but quite small, and the seating is tightly packed. Each small table fits four chairs and is just large enough to hold everyone's drinks and food. You're required to purchase two items, which is standard for comedy clubs, though worth noting. The food is average -- mostly served in baskets, except for the salads, which come in bowls. It's nothing to write home about, but it gets the job done. We attended the early show, which started on time and ran smoothly. It seems like the better option, especially since the second show was scheduled to begin at 9:00, but that's when our show ended. That meant the staff still had to clean and reset the room for the next group, potentially delaying the late show. Despite a few quirks, we had a good time and will definitely be returning. Just go in knowing the space is tight, the food is basic and arrive early if you want a decent seat. read more
