The website was kind of confusing, and they are NOT a full dine in experience. The menu is small and the food was meh. Was also disappointed fries were the only side option. The staff was also not helpful, not knowing the correct theater we were in, not knowing anything about what's on the menu, etc. The theater was also pretty run down. There were a ton of crumbs on my seat and the trays (which were small) seemed sticky. Gotta wonder if they were wiped down properly in between movies. Final strike was a disturbance at the front of the theater and police escorting a group out of the theater right behind us. Didn't feel very safe. Will not return. Find a different "dine in" theater. read more

Here's what you need to know: the newly refurbished (as of fall 2016) AMC Northbrook Court is just Awesome! The reclining wide seats with tables, that are pre-selected/assigned at the time of purchasing the tickets truly reduces stress and enhances the movie going experience. $6 weekend morning tickets are just a great way to enjoy the movies without breaking the bank. No IMAX so can't be 5 stars. Customer service in this AMC location is great. If you can't make a movie that you'd bought tickets to, they give you passes for your next visit. The concession stand has variety and very courteous service, despite the fact that is has artificially inflated prices (which is true of ALL movie theatres) since that's how they make money. The only issue is that parking is a problem and there is quite a bit of walking and planning involved to make your show. read more

This is one of the most comfortable movie theaters I've been too! Was just here recently with my kids to see a movie and we all loved the big, plush recliners and having your own table for snacks and drinks. I also thought it was great seeing staff bring out food items and drinks to patrons before the movie began. Never before at any movie theater have I seen such customer service and been so comfortable. In fact, I was so relaxed I could've taken a nap probably. Hands down 100% worst movie theater I've ever been to. During a two hour rated r movie kids ran up and down the isles climbed down the seats through popcorn etc. Me n my wife left 60 minutes into the film after telling the manager and he did nothing. Smh read more

First time here since they remodeled. Bought tickets ahead of time so didn't have to wait in any lines to buy tickets. Just walked in and they scan the bar code on my phone. Didn't need anything to eat/drink so I can't review that part. Next time I'll leave enough time to try it all out. The seat I was in was lopsided (theatre 4 top row 4 seats from the right when walking up the steps so avoid that seat) all in all a good experience and will come again. read more

I like their AMC Theatre because they deliver the hot food that you order straight to your seat instead of waiting 10 - 20 minutes for your food to be done and then walking it all the way to your theatre and seat. Weird set up for a dine in theater. You have to order your food at the counter and then they deliver it to your seat. Everyone working there acted like it was the biggest hassle in the world to be taking your order or answer a question. Food was decent but hardly worth the price or poor service. Do yourself a favor, eat at a real restaurant and then see a movie. read more

Nice seats but so what! Movies are a combination of Video and Audio! Recently saw LaLa Land there and the sound was in lack luster mono. Why would anyone want to see a musical in monaural? When the film was over, I looked for a manger who wasn't to be found. A young ticket taker told me that their wasn't anything he could do. Frustrated, I left. I didn't feel like arguing. Saw the same film the next week at Arclight, Glenview and it was a different experience. There was only 1 young girl selling tickets and picking seats so that took 1/2 hour waiting in a long line. The next line for overpriced popcorn took 20 more minutes. Horrible experience, stay away. read more

Be careful what viewing you are going to--it could be not what you are buying into to or expect. Fandango sold me a ticket (two of them) and did not point out on the ticket or in the advertisement, that the viewing I was going to would be for a sensory sensitive audience. The folks around me were afflicted with Turret's and other disabilities making it impossible for us to understand the dialogue in the movie. The movie was shown with the lights on and the sound was set low--appropriate for the intended, but not, disclosed audience. AMC did not post a sign in front of the theater room either. It was not until 20 minutes into the film did we realize this would not end. We had already order food and wanted to eat or food at least (I was on a date!). Once the movie ended, we went to the manager to get a refund. He refused and said to go through Fandango. I advised them to at least put a sign at the entrance of the viewing to alert folks. When I contacted Fandango, they do not refund tickets after the viewing--no matter what! Everyone deserves to see the movie they intended to see. It was the worst movie experience ever. read more

Right now, in 2017, it sounds like these folks are heading toward bankruptcy and the company is falling apart at the seams. We got all the way through the concession stand and were walking into the theater when we realized the title was wrong. They'd cancelled the showing without telling us. What, the ticket taker couldn't have said something? They wouldn't refund anything because we'd used Fandango. So we have vouchers and passes only useful for a theater chain to which we will never return. It's sad, you can tell this place is an asset. I hope Cinemark buys them out. Their upstairs concession stand is nice (and empty, at the moment). read more

A stairwell to climb that's at an odd pitch. The couple who we didn't know was complaining about it too. And tray tables that can't be moved out of the way! Comfy seats only if you have long legs to put your feet down, otherwise you have to recline to be comfortable. I'll take my money down the road to Regal. read more

I swear I've given this theater many chances but instead of getting better their cleanliness seems to get worse and worse. The bathrooms are worse than fraternity house bathrooms and the floors and hallways have popcorn and other trash strewn all over it. The theaters themselves seem to be clean enough but I haven't really studied the seats and floors with the lights on. I'm just a bit grossed out especially since I like to take my kids here. We picked coming to this theater because of the website selling me on being able to do essentially the same as going to IPic or a Star Cinema Grille. This, this should've been the very. first. red flag. Not only does the website completely lie; the theater is dirty as hell; and they were out of just about everything we wanted to try. Beyond that, when I ran to the restroom I had to assemble my own f***ing lock on the bathroom stall. Beyond that, there were literal flies like in The f***ing Amityville Horror covering the sink in the handicap accessable stall. I will not come back to this theater, no matter how much they entice me. I will never recommend this theater to anyone. If it wasn't for really wanting to see the movie, and every other compairable theater being completely sold out; I would've walked out at once. The ONLY plus was that my friend's burger was decent; but if the rest of the theater was an indication, I doubt I would want to know the conditions the kitchen was in. read more

This movie theater is mostly clean and it offers many theaters. I like the fact that the theater shows a good handful of artsy house films. I do not like how all of the theaters have trays for eating. When I am watching a movie I do not see other people eating in the theater often so I do not know why they have so many of these. AMC has stepped up their game. This is the closet theater to my house but we never went to it because the seats were just terrible to sit in. We took our kids to a matinee movie today and not only was the 5.90$ a ticket a deal but we were shocked to walk in and see the beautiful red recliners (VERY CLEAN) and new trays for your food. The new soda machines were awesome and the entire atmosphere has changed. They are really trying and it worked for this customer. We are returning twice in a day because we were so pleased. I ordered a beer for my wife and I. they carded me, kind of exiting when you're 63. then she told me she couldn't sell me a beer for my wife and that she needed to be present with an ID. I asked to speak to the manager. she said yes. I asked who's above you ... corporate. Gotta say that I was impressed from start to finish at least with the theater. Reserved seating, reasonable price for matinee, and spacious, reclining seats with tray left me feeling ready to enjoy the main event. Too many previews end up taking over 20 min, but overall, great experience. Not sure if all theaters in the complex are renovated, but if you are in number 14, get ready to enjoy your experience. Time will tell if the staff keeps it looking/feeling new as others find out about the renovation. read more

The management needs to get their act together now that the theater has been renovated. Lines were long, service was disorganized, and bathrooms were dirty. Worst thing was the assigned seating. We were over 30 minutes early and still couldn't get seats next to each other. I don't consider assigned seats a norm in a movie theater, really don't think it's appropriate. This was our go to movie theater, but we might just need to switch to regal in Lincolnshire. Very disappointed. read more

While they've done quite a lot of work to this old theater complex, it still needs some work. The new seats with trays and footrests are great, but the sound of the movie in the theater next door is as loud as I've ever experienced and much to distracting to return. Watching the same guy emptying garbage cans and mopping the floor fill my $8 medium popcorn WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS OR PUTTING ON RUBBER GLOVES was as added bonus. I'm out! read more

Went to see Mary Poppins Returns at this local theater. We ordered the tickets online and picked out our seats. Nice to know where you will be sitting. Only down side is the "convenience" sur charge never understand this charge as it is a way the theater saves money on staffing. This is even when you are a stubs member where they get all your info to sell to marketing companies. Parking is good and there are many restaurants close bye. Also it is a "dine in" theater. Who would not enjoy a movie while someone sitting next to them is eating an aromatic, noisy meal. The theater is clean and the lazy-boy seating is nice. However even though we preordered our tickets and picked out out seats we arrived to our seats to "conveniently" find others sitting in them? They say are you really going to make us move? Great so an nice "convenient" argument about how if people start sitting in others seats it can snowball as then I would be sitting in others seats a true case of musical chairs. So I'm the bad guy because I ask the people to move out of the seats I "conveniently" purchased with a sur charge so we would not have to move when we sat in someone else's seats. My date was fantastic and we enjoyed the movie. Despite the dirty looks from the women who don't understand the meaning of reserved seating. Oh what did I receive for the "convenience" charge? Not a thing! Thanks AMC. We wonder why this form of entertainment is becoming more popular with streaming in your own home. read more

So disappointed in this theater considering it's in a great area in a great mall - I expected more. We came here because they had the recliner seats and wanted to see two different movies in the same weekend so we came on a Friday and Saturday. Both nights the line was ridiculous just to get in and scan our tickets because only one person was scanning. Only two people were taking customers where you get popcorn, food, etc. and the absolute worst of the worse....the bathrooms!!!! Absolutely DISGUSTING! I am not kidding, the most disgusting bathrooms I've ever seen in my life. Then, to make matters worse, during the movie (which ours was on the second floor) I had to use the washroom and the washroom on the second floor was unusable since all the toilets were backed up. The worker was so rude too when she told me and didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. I had to go all the way downstairs and missed about 10 minutes of the movie just because it was so out of the way. I didn't make a big deal about it because I understand things happen and I figured maybe they were short handed Friday night. Well, unfortunately Saturday it was the same situation. I'm not here to give this theater a bad name, it has the opportunity to be a great place, I am hoping the staff/manager, etc. see this and make some improvements. Especially when it comes to the bathrooms. read more

Love this place BUT....they definitely need an early cut off time of food delivery!!!!! So disruptive and not even an attempt to be quiet during interactions. I knew what all five people ordered and drinks on the way from 3 rows up. Food delivery should only be within the first 15 minutes of the movie. Otherwise the theater is great and would deserve 5 stars. read more
