My 18 year old daughter went to go see a movie with her friends. The rules are Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian. These people had the audacity to ask for my daughters ID. Who in gods world brings their ID to the movie?!?! She didn't have her Id and she tried to go into the movie. The manager came over and my daughter gave me little to no explanation saying one word. Rude... She (an adult) bought the tickets I am so upset my daughter had to go through that. I really do not appreciate the staffs behavior. My daughter is completely crushed. I came to watch Dune 2 and had the loudest audio ever! So loud we couldn't hear the voices and distracted us from the movie itself. One of the better AMC theaters with dine-in comfy recliners. Seats can elevate to almost a bed position with the ottoman horizontal. Surround sound system was robust and satisfying. The only annoyance was that of teenagers monopolizing the seats meant for people with disabilities. There was a commotion. The disabled adults complained to management who did absolutely nothing about it and this disrupted an otherwise pleasant evening. read more

It just feels like AMC quit trying to make the experience worthwhile. I attended the 2pm showing of Oppenheimer yesterday and there was enough popcorn on the staircase to fill two jumbo containers. The lighting was dim and the temperature in the theater was barely adequate. This is why people stay home and rent or stream movies. If this is the future then AMC is in trouble because I cannot imagine going back. Oh, and though I understand the studios probably make them do this, 25 minutes of previews is a bit much. read more

Once I got there they scan my tickets and wanted to ID us and we only had electronic pictures of our IDs and refused to let us into the theater. We decided to see Top Gun and went to the Northbrook Theater. How pathetic this theater was. There were 4 of us that wanted to sit together and the guy gave the first seat to our friend. When it came time for us he tells us the seats were sold online and we can't sit together so my husband was aggravated and picked seats as close as we could. We go into the theater which the people that worked there should have been embarrassed of but weren't, and realize he sold us tickets for a movie that had started a 1/2 hour ago in a different theater. So he then had to go thru the hassle of changing the tickets out. In the meantime we got our popcorn and we're amazed that all the workers were standing doing nothing when there was popcorn everywhere. Napkins, straws and cups all over, the place was a total pigsty that we just spent well over $60 to sit and watch a movie sorry to say I probably won't be back to this theater. Our go to theatre outside of the city. We saw the first showing of Avengers in 3D on a Sunday morning for $9.50/person. Since we are also AMC stubs people we get free refills on a large popcorn tub. Theatre is nice and clean. We got to pick our seats ahead of time and they were the good reclining ones. Staff is super friendly. read more

It is hard to beat the 11am matinee on the weekend, $6. Big poofy lazy boy style chairs that go all the way back and swing tables to nosh and drink as needed. Saw Guardians 2 and enjoyed it. Admittedly it was weird re-entering the day light early afternoon after sitting in a dark hole for a couple hours. Compared to other AMC movie theaters I'd say this one is pretty on par. They have the reclining seats which is nice. The theater is also a"dine-in" one where you can order food at concession stand and they will deliver it to your seat where there are table/trays. On our most recent visit we got there around 11:30 and tried to order their Big Bite Sampler but they said wouldn't be ready for another 1.5 hours, so we ended up getting the Artisan Pepperoni flatbread. The flatbread was pretty good, but expensive. I guess that's just expected though at any movie theater. The theater itself seemed clean enough, however there was still some grime on the trays that we had to wipe off. The bathrooms were also pretty clean but it was still pretty early in the day. I like that it's connected to the mall so you can get your shopping, eating, and movie all in one go. read more

Yelpers don't often write about movie theaters. They were a commodity nobody noticed if the (overpriced) popcorn didn't' have too much salt and your feet didn't stick to the floor. AMC's remodeled theaters in Northbrook Court challenges those assumptions, offering patrons far more than a dark room and a cushioned chair. They removed 2/3 of the traditional seats and replaced them with fully-reclinable electric ones. I'm thinking of coming back here during the day just to nap in one of those bad boys. The concession stand still sells candy, Coke and popcorn, but their new offerings include sushi, crispy Brussels sprouts, salads, burgers and flatbread, all delivered to your chair. I had the crispy Brussels sprouts. I'd give them a B rating. Very passable, but a little salty, a bit too oily. Worried that the flick (or your date) won't live up to your expectations? Now you can have a beer, glass of wine or cocktail before or during the show. Hard to believe it took to the end of 2016 to offer booze at the movies. AMC has done a solid job of making the theater more of an experience than just place to see a movie. read more

I would not have even given this one star but the young man on the register was very kind and patient since we had 4 orders for food. My fiance had ordered a burger on Saturday evening, we went to see Candyman. He said it wasn't a good burger and proceeded to eat and enjoy the movie. The next day (Sunday) he said he felt nauseated, had diarrhea and later that evening, he had a 102.0 fever and on Monday, September 6th had a fever, 101.4 and diarrhea. Went to get a rapid PCR Covid test and that was negative. His fever just went away, but he still can't eat a regular diet. We do believe that burger from the AMC Dine-in was the cause of a bit of gastrointestinal virus/ food poisoning. Not sure what happened or why it happened. I had flatbread and popcorn without any issue. They should probably stop serving the burgers until they are trained properly on temperature checks and food handling etc. Glad he is feeling a little bit better. read more

AMC dine-in theaters are a great option for date nights or heading in with your friends. They provide a much larger menu variety and tend to have the new seats and soda machines that have every soda option imaginable. I was in theater 2 (maybe the other 7 are different?) but the sears extend a large way back from the screen. The sound was excellent but the screen was TINY in comparison to the size of the theater. I definitely would have expected the screen to be much larger given the spacing of the seats. This is like having a 50 inch tv at home and then deciding to watch a movie from 20 feet away. read more

Diet soda dispensed is 95% water, 5% flavor. Asked personal and she said, "everybody complains about the diet soda, but that's the way it comes out of the machine and there is nothing we can do about it." If there is any AMC theatre that would benefit from the touchscreen ticket ordering machines, it would be this theatre. I came with a group of friends and we decided to get our tickets at the theatre because two of us are AMC A-Listers (To sum up the A-Listers program, it's a membership that lets you watch three movies a week.) I was the first to order my ticket, saying that I wanted to redeem my A-List movie ticket. This woman working the front had the audacity to say "A-Lister is only a discount. You don't get a free movie ticket with it." I was in utter disbelief at the lack of knowledge of the company's own A-Lister program. This woman literally didn't know what she was doing and basically was ready to fight my friend and me for educating her on what the AMC A-Listers program was. The rest of my group caught on that the staff at ticketing wasn't going to be any help and started to order their tickets online. We all knew that she was not going to let us use the reservations from A-List. My one friend in my group that also has an AMC A-List membership goes with me to many movies and many theatres in the area. (We go so much that we have our own "Avoid this particular AMC" for this reason. And sadly, this theatre location made the list.) Now if you are in this area, do yourself the favor of going to a different AMC theatre. This theatre definitely isn't as clean or friendly as the AMC theatres in Vernon Hills or Schaumburg. read more

Older staff (the seniors) here sucks. They're grouchy and could care less about you. Younger staff is actually nice! Food is overpriced and has 1k+ calories. $12 for 1600 calorie nachos. They were cold. I'll email corporate about that. Theater is generally clean, but of course it can be sticky with small bits of popcorn occasionally on the floor. Seats are super comfortable. Not sure why there's negative reviews. Super comfy electric seats that fully recline. Seats are large and have cup holders built into the rest. There's a bar onsite which is cool if you wanna grab a beer or cocktail before the movie. There are dinner food options (mainly bar-type food) and a bunch of different snack foods. They even have caramel and cheese popcorn. This movie theater is definitely more upscale than others I've been to in the suburbs. There are a lot of independent movie options too. I think 2 stars is more than generous for this place. If you are just going for a movie.. then its fine. But for dinner and a movie.. it gets 2 stars. 2 stars mainly for the super comfy seats. Unlike other places that have reclining seats, these seats are extra thick and the arm rest goes up between you and the person next to you (if you want). Also, i like they are grouped in 2s and there is sort of a separation from the other seats next to to you. But really... thats about it. Heres why.. Ordered tickets online and chose seats.. great. No issue. The website says movie and dine in. It talks about ordering ahead when u arrive and having it delivered to your seat OR pressing the service button at your seat and having it delivered. All great options. We go to the theater 20 min before. Got to our seats with 10 min before ready to order dinner. Looked around.. no service button. I doubled checked online and it says yes.. a service button. Well that was a lie. My husband got up 5 min before start time to order us dinner. What they dont tell you its a 45 minute wait to get food delivered to your seat!!! Wow. Thats crazy. Whatever.. we planned dinner and a movie so we waited. While out of the theater ordering our dinner my hubby got me a beer and himself a drink and came back just in time for the movie to start (luckily there were a lot of previews). Food came and it was ok.. really not bad, it was fine. I had their fancy royal burger and he had the chicken strips. Hubby said his food was cold when he got it. Im confused what their goal is with the food and drinks. They want to make money.. right? The person who came to deliver our food 50 minutes into the movie didnt even ask if we wanted more drinks. Um.. alcohol is an easy way to upcharge a customer. Thats not even an option here. I would have to leave the movie to get another drink. NOPE! Their loss i guess. I liked this theater with its great seating layout and sound system, friendly employees, and comfortable seats. It was great to bypass the ticket line and scan the Stubs app on my phone to redeem the tickets. I watched Aladdin with my BFF and we generally enjoyed our movie going experience. Only annoying thing was it was very humid and hot initially during the movie, which is unusual because movie theaters are notorious for blasting the A/C on too high. But later on, it seemed to cool down a more comfortable temperature. The closed captioning device worked well which was helpful to have so I can catch every word of the movie. I wouldn't mind returning to this theater to watch more movies in the future. read more

I like going to this AMC because it's close to my job and every theater has nice plush recliners. They also have dine in and delivery to your seat which is nice. Unfortunately you have to order at the counter. It would be nice if you could order from the phone. By the time I realized I wanted popcorn the movie was starting. The theater is pretty clean as well as they're bathrooms. Lots of high school kids work here so service is hit or miss. I think I only had one encounter with an obnoxious guy at the concession stand. Drinks are the most expensive I've seen- and I usually go to see movies in the city! I just sat in a couple of seats and they are all crooked! When you sit, one side completely collapses down and the other stays high so the seat itself is so crooked and very uncomfortable to sit in for even 5 minutes! Took my 5 year old to see Bad Guys this afternoon. Ordered food, chicken tenders and fries (how long could that take?) Well, 45 minutes later...no food. I had to drag my child from the movie to figure out if they had forgotten our order. I was told they hadn't even started it and it would be 20 more minutes. 45 minutes LATER, which is an HOUR AND A HALF after we ordered, I had to once again check with my son in tow. Food still not ready! How can it take the length of a movie to cook fries? So, my son missed some of the movie (which was terrible) and was starving. They move like slugs. I don't care how short staffed they claim to be. There were three people in the kitchen probably spending more time getting stoned than filling orders. Oh, and I wasn't the only one waiting. General impression of theatre public areas, restrooms, theatre itself: apparently their janitors were on strike on Sunday January 7th. Popcorn on stairs and theatre floors - not a little - a lot - a real mess. No one lifted a finger to try and clean up. Made us question how sanitary their food prep might be -- or not be. Also, they ran out of chicken - so no tenders for us. Do they wipe down the tray tables and leather seats after every show? I doubt it. AMC management should be ashamed! Where was the manager? Was pleasantly surprised by this theater will definitely be coming back. Comfortable leather seats with a moveable armrest for a loveseat option. You choose your seats in advance and it's very spacious and not crowded at all. The seats Recline almost all the way back and lots of space in front of you. Lots of great food choices to choose from. We got the Mac n cheese with brisket. The Brussels sprouts and the nachos. All were awesome. I would have liked more brisket in the Mac but was still ok.. All those and a drink came out to $42.00. And they bring it right to your seat. Cozy and comfortable with a friendly staff. Love that it's located inside the mall so you can shop if your there too early. read more

I love the remodel with the reclining seats. I am also a fan of the preassigned seating. They lose major points though for cleanliness. On our most recent visit many of the seats were dirty and sticky, as were the trays. The tickets sales personnel have always been pleasant and helpful but there is one ticket taker who is a nightmare. He seems to be working every time we come to the theater and has a very negative attitude. He sets the evening/movie experience off on a bad note every time. Awesome place to unwind after a long week at work. Went there 3 times already and it has become me and my wife's favorite spot to see a movie. A few notes: - The reclining chairs are AWESOME, and there's a lot of space between them too. - People are saying that there's a long line for the food and drinks. Went there 3 times on a Friday night and never had more than 3 people before me in line. - If you want to make sure you get a good spot, just order online. Horrible theater. First there is no service for food or drinks. It is basically a self service movie theater with very a limited menu. If you want to get a beverage you have to go to the bar and you are only allowed to order one drink. If you want to have another one you have to leave the the movie theater again during the presentation which beats the idea of watching a movie and enjoy a drink. Last but not least the seats are not comparable to a real dine-in movie theater. But maybe the focus group are only popcorn eating juveniles as this was the crowd during my movie at 6:45 pm.
