I called AMC Plumbing on a Monday at 8 am to install a kitchen faucet and replace a leaking faucet outside. Someone (Saul) was there in only two hours (pretty fast). He fixed both jobs, and he recommended that I have my water pressure reduced from 100 to 75. I accepted, and he got right on it, digging outside. I learned that my water pipes were at risk of breaking due to high pressure. This is preventable. If you call AMC Plumbing and you get Saul, you're lucky. He is a solution solver and doesn't stop until the job is done. read more

Update: it has only been 7 months and something is wrong with my sprinklers again. When I asked to have Miguel come take a look, he told me to take a picture.. I asked him why he doesn't want to come in person then he gave me a 2 weeks lead time, really? My 2 cents: It's easier to find repeat customers than look for new customers. Original message: I had a faulty sprinkler valve and Miguel helped me replaced the part quickly. He wasn't the least expensive but was very responsive and replaced the valve. The service came with a 30 day warranty. I've taken some pictures so you can see his workmanship. Miguel only lets you use credit card if your job is over $300 and he seems to work during business hours so you have to take time off work. read more

Miguel at AMC worked on re-piping our kitchen sink (which was leaking horribly), washer, master bath, guest bath and replacing the main line. It was a huge job, requiring the removal of lots of original iron pipes. He worked quickly, completing the job in only a few days. His communication was great, he gave me a reasonable quote, and all around I felt pretty good about booking this plumber! He was booked up a few weeks in advance but I did not mind waiting. My 101 year old mother's house had a major plumbing problem. The bathtub in her front bathroom wouldn't drain and when the toilet was flushed it came into the tub. Miguel came to the house and after spending quite a bit of time researching it he said it would be a bigger job than he thought and he would come back and start in the morning. He returned, right on time, and finished the job in three hours. He provided a very detailed accounting of what was done and it even cost less than he originally quoted. My daughter and her two young girls were at the house and we are all concerned with COVID-19. Miguel and his crew arrived wearing masks and keeping their distance without being asked. So, all in all, reasonably priced, reliable, very professional and honest. What more could you ask of a plumber. read more

My poorly draining toilet had its drain cleared quickly. The first augur didn't work, the bigger power augur was brought to bear, and finally Mr. Colin had to send his power augur through my drain clean-out access. Success after only 20 minutes! Hands down the best experience with a plumbing service company. They were prompt, worked efficiently, and were extremely courteous. They fixed all requested problems (leak under sink and downstairs toilet) and fixed another small problem they found at no additional cost. I have two toddlers, so who knows what caused the blockage of the toilet, but they fixed it quickly. The house we bought was flipped and not all the work was done with absolute precision. The city has signed off on his work without issue, and I have never had a problem with any work Miguel has done. He shows up on time, and he is trustworthy, so you can leave him alone in your house. I called and spoke to Miguel from AMC Plumbing. I explained to him that my Rheem water heater went out and that I was still under warranty. He quickly said that he would call the manufacturer for me first thing in the morning as a courtesy and order the parts for my water heater. So the next day, early in the morning around 7am, Miguel sends me text and told me that he had already called the manufacturer and had already ordered the parts! Wow! I was extremely impressed with his quick and excellent customer service. It was great to know that he went to extra mile to call the manufacturer himself. 86 yr old Mother in Law panic call to me on the freeway, sewer backing up into her shower!! I pull off the freeway, look up "plumbing" using Yelp on my cell and find Amc Plumbing. They tell me they can be at her house in about an hour. I say fine and meet them at her house. House is over 60 yrs old and has to go up on the roof. Get's an assistant to help (telling me the cost before he does anything). Do a GREAT JOB and no add on's. Clean and neat, and fixes the problem. Gave me a $25 discount for telling him I used Yelp and I was willing to pay the original quote. Save money, get it done right and fast...what else can you expect. I recommend them to anyone. I Scheduled an appointment on a Tuesday because he charges double on the weekend. I made the appointment with him for Tuesday on the previous Saturday. He canceled two hours before the appointment. I had already requested time from work, moved around my schedule, and canceled appointments. His reason was that there was an emergency in Irvine. My appointment was in advance and urgent as I have running water leaking since the previous Saturday. My guess is that the Irvine Job paid him more and he was willing to come to me the next day. No way. I'm not going to let this man take my money, canceling my appointment at the last minute. Poor customer service and ethics. read more

I wish I could give more stars. My sprinkler system started leaking and my regular plumber wouldn't touch it. When it got very bad Saturday night, to the point that I had very little water pressure in the house, I searched Yelp for help. I found the posting for AMC Plumbing that said they offered weekend emergency service. I left a message for Miguel hoping that he would call me back on Sunday. He called back within a few minutes and agreed to come out first thing Sunday morning. He was true to his word and had the sprinklers fixed within an hour. Miguel was very pleasant and professional. Personal Opinion: Unfortunately, only 3 months after having this company out to fix what the plumbers said they thought was a clogged drain from debris, my parents 1923 house is having worse plumbing problems. Additionally, only a short time before having this company out for the emergency issue, there was a drain cover on the roof pipe, yet a few weeks after they were at the house the drain cover was missing. We believe they forgot to put it back on, which means we have no idea what could have fallen into the drain. Returning to the current issue, after calling to talk about options with the owner, because it has only been 3 months since the $400 emergency work was done, they told my mom it would be another (roughly) $1000 to look into the issue. That does not include necessarily solving the issue. My husband and I find this answer to be very unprofessional and absolutely absurd. Guarantee your work? Guess not. We've called other plumbers, whom we have referrals to in our area, and told them the situation. They said they would look for free since the work done was less than 6 months old. No matter, we can find another plumber. However, based on this experience, we would not recommend this company for work, as they seem to (possibly) try to rip off elderly people. read more
