DO NOT USE THEM- SCAMMERS. I had a broken Toto toilet seat, i sent them the model/serial number so they could order it. They said they need $250 to come out and examine. It was a broken toilet seat, they did not need to come out...but when they did, they left the automatic functions of the toilet not working. They literally broke it, demanded to be paid...and ordered a toilet seat. After i paid the 250 visit fee they said they would not do the repair. They took my money, broke my toilet, and then refuse to finish the job. They don't take credit cards, so you dont have that recourse....obviously they have scammed before. I highly recommend this plumbing company for anyone looking for an honest, reasonable priced plumbing company. Rene just left my house, we had a foul odor coming from the pipes believed to be the from the bathroom. He came, inspected around the area and snaked the pipes. Although we weren't able to 100% see where the scent came from he was able to rule out any leaks. After Snaking the foul odor gradually went away and I believe whatever the issue was, was solved. He recommended we also call again to have a camera check for any possible clogs we might have not been able to get to, but he definitely fixed the issue. After snaking the odor was gone. I will never use this company again! I agreed to pay $180 per hour for weekend service because I needed my kitchen faucet fixed. The plumber informed me that the faucet I bought could not replace the old one I had. I asked if he had a faucet I could buy because I needed my sick fixed. He told me their warehouse was closed and I would have to pay extra for someone to open it on the weekend and pay him wait time. I could not afford that. Then he told me the cost for him coming out was $130. I was never told there would be a fee if he could not complete his work. I understand some type of fee but $130 for not even 30 minutes!!!!! Outrageous! Thanks for nothing, these people perpetuate the stereotype that plumbers are crooks. Plumber came with a backpack of tools but a huge van, what's the point of you have no supplies! read more

The one star is for the tech that came out and seemed like a genuinely nice guy, this business otherwise deserves no stars! We noticed water leaking from our downstairs ceiling, called this company and a tech came out, he couldn't find a leak and thought that maybe water had leaked around the bathtub instead of an actual broken pipe and suggested that we would watchfully wait and see what happens until the next day. We also showed him a faucet that wasn't working and he said didn't have the parts but would take care of it when we called back. The following day we called and said that we haven't noticed any more leak but would like to watch one more day, since we had turned off the the main water, to see if the leak would recur once we started to use the water again. The lady, who is apparently the owner of the business, said that the tech had to come and fix the faucet today. We tried to explain that we would call her tomorrow and regardless would like the tech to fix the faucet, but if there's a true leak, it would be better if he comes once to take care of both the problems, specially since the faucet was not an emergency. She, however, proceeded to day if we wanted to wait one more day we would have to pay 2 service call charges! So my husband told her that with this lack of customer service, he did not want to have anything to do with her or her business and asked her to send us a bill for the service call (the one where the tech only came and looked and said likely just spilled water that leaked around the tub)....she sent the tech out to our house to collect the 105 dollars service call charge. read more

I am really happy we called Laughlin Plumbing. We needed some serious work done on the plumbing in our new home, including redirecting the entire gas line from under the house. Our local friends spoke highly of the late Jim Laughlin and his company so we gave them a call. Dorothy was friendly and helpful on the phone arranging our appointment. Gus did a wonderful job fixing the line. He also gave a consultation on the plumbing, and suggested what we could do to fix it. I especially liked that he gave us a choice between the "deluxe make it the best option" and the "what you can afford and will probably work as well" options. He was patient with our questions and clear in his explanations. Gus does really good and conscientious work, but you can also see that his honesty, good spirit, and care for his work and other people go down to his core. Called this place because the toilet at my work started to over flow... but it was coming from the bottom of the toilet ! Like where the ground and toilet meet... and it was coming up through the floor in our show room! Oh no no no we can't have that... I called them after calling a bunch of other plumbers who weren't available until the next day! Hello this is an EMERGENCY! They girl I spoke with told me between 330-530 pm... okay cool a couple hours I can deal with and then we can get it fixed. I highly recommend Laughlin Plumbing. On a Friday night, I detected the smell of gas, and the Gas Company came immediately. After 45 minutes of inspecting near my meter, the Gas Co rep discovered a gas leak under my house next to the meter, and the gas was shut off to my home. I was able to reach Eddie at Laughlin and scheduled a visit for first thing Monday morning. I found Eddie and the staff -- Gus and Erik -- very professional and knowledgeable for what needed to be done. They did an excellent job in replacing the gas pipes under my 102 year old home. A good friend who is a retired plumber suggested that I have an automatic shut off valve added in case of an earthquake when I am not at home. He was incremental in his approach to make sure a complete rehaul was actually required before recommending it - but he didn't charge me for every incremental visit which was nice. I called this plumber because of their great reviews on yelp. I had a small window of available time to get a bathroom faucet installed befween 3 and 5 pm on a Friday. At 4:30 I became concerned and called their office and was told the plumber was on another job and would call me. He did, and told me he would not be able to make it but could come around noon on the next day. We were up from S. Or. Co. to get this project done for our daughter. Around 2, the appologetic plumber showed up and took about an hour to complete the installation. He proceeded to give us his best rate for the job, around $100, and threw in a couple of short plastic water connections. We were pleased but neglected to test the faucet before he left. Low and behold, there was hardly any water pressure. My daughter and her husband who both work very long hours, lived with minimal water pressure for a couple weeks before they were able to call this co. back and arrange for a call back. The second time around, a couple additional repairs were made for the price of a service call and parts, $150, but were told the faucet was clogged and needed to be replaced. $250 and the faucet was still dysfunctional. The office person said they were not liable for faucets that became clogged with pipe dibris. She was also a little demeaning to my daughter on the phone. So, we were out $250 and had to purchase a second new unit at $90 which I managed to install myself to save the cost of a third service call. I give them one star because the first tech was nice but should have noted the water pressure issue. Seems to me the second service call should not have been charged especially since the problem was not resolved! read more

Gus, lead plumber at Laughlin Plumbing, is incredibly competent, great at explaining things, timely, reasonably priced, and a very very hard worker. He came to our house after I made a call about some blocked drains and a toilet that wasn't working. It turns out we had huge problems with our plumbing. We had a shower pipe that had burst. Also we had a bunch of against code additions in the 60's and 70's long before we owned our house. These additions done long ago affected our entire plumbing system because they were cheap and wrong. So Gus and his amazing crew worked very hard for several weeks to correct all the problems. Thanks to Gus and Laughlin Plumbing we now have new plumbing in our entire house as well as new sewer lines. The job took a lot of time and hard work. Trust me when I say that you will not find a better plumber than Gus. He went above and beyond in every way possible for us. read more

Had Jim, the owner of Laughlin Plumbing, along with Eddie and Gus out in 2013 for some repairs on one of our units, service was really great. Had to contact Laughlin Plumbing again regarding a leak in the bathroom of another unit. Eddie and Gus both came out, I was told that the bathtub fixture was causing the leak and new hardware would be needed. I was also told that Jim, the owner, had passed away (so very sad to hear, he was wonderful). Eddie said he would return with the hardware needed. He did return (I cannot remember if Gus was with him), put in new hardware for the bathtub along with new piping underneath and we thought everything was fine. Nine months later we needed the foundation lifted so we called a company to come out and give us a quote. A family member was told that under the bathtub where the new plumbing pipe had been placed, the main beam running the length of the cast iron tub had been cut and we were lucky the tub had not given way and fell through the floor. We also had another plumber, who had come out to put in a sump pump tell us the same thing. Pictures were taken. Another family member had just had Laughlin Plumbing out a couple weeks prior. We did contact the company, which the call actually goes to Texas, and spoke to Jim's wife who is the secretary. We were told Eddie had been released three months after he had been at our house, she would send Gus out to "evaluate" the situation. Gus, who is a very good friend of Eddie's had been to our house before, seemed like a conflict of interest. He refused to acknowledge any damage done by their company and really didn't want to look under the house to see the cut. I had to insist. We contacted the foundation company who came out and fixed the sawed through beam and shored everything up for a minimal fee. We will never use Laughlin Plumbing again for any of our homes nor do we recommend them. I can only suggest taking photographs of before and after. Very disappointing! read more
