This theater used to be a Cinetopia. For many years, it was great. In the last few years (whilst they were in litigation with AMC), they seemed to allow the place to go downhill. AMC took over a few months back (at the same time that the litigation was settled), but AMC doesn't seem to have done much to improve things. The place seems dingy. The seats are worn, the cushions are sometimes flat, and some seats are broken. I find the seats with ottomans to be very uncomfortable. For at least two days earlier this year, the AC broke and they didn't fix it for several days (even though they told me that they had). The volume levels in the theaters seems to be set arbitrarily. Sometimes, the volume levels are great, and sometimes the volume levels are ear-splittingly loud. Although I've brought the latter issue to the general manager's and corporate's attention, they don't seem interested in addressing the issue. read more

Clearly I should have read the reviews before coming here. If I could give it 0 stars I absolutely would. I have never been so grossed out by a theater. There were skittles wrappers, popcorn, and crumbs scattered all over our seats. Not to mention the serving trays tossed all over the aisle. It was very clear that they did not clean at all between movies. I didn't even feel like I could sit in the chair due to the lack of cleanliness but when you pay $14 for a ticket you really shouldn't have to deal with that. read more

Terrible theater experience, sticky tables and floor. Went to see the Toy Story 4 movie and felt like I would catch some sort of crud before I left. The kids didn't know any better but I had to watch them more than the movie to keep them from touching all the sticky slim all over the place. AMC, you didn't bring anything to this neighborhood. This change/acquisition was done very poorly... there are holes in walls, plumbing laying on the ground in the restrooms, destroyed seats... long story short 0 has been done to maintain or improve the place. The food has become hot trash, the popcorn is stale to the point the likely heated up yesterdays. The main perk to going to what this theater was, is to have a beer and watch a movie. They changed policies so now there aren't any 21+ theaters which part of the perk was that you didn't have to worry about paying 15$ and watching a movie with loud children. They have also changed their tap list to carry little to no local beers and nothing over a certain ABV. The tap list literally mirrors a Red Robin which sucks. Do not waste your money here! I wish that zero stars was an option. I agree with everything the other bad reviews have said. AMC did nothing to improve the condition of the theaters. It was very dirty, my shoes were sticking to the floor every step I took. The service has been majorly downgraded, they no longer take your order in the theater. If you want anything other then soda, you order it from the bar, everything else at the concessions counter. They no longer offer pitchers of beer or cider, so annoying and inconvenient. The food is more expensive and yet mediocre at best, disgusting at worst. We had to return our chicken tenders platter-the biscuits were burnt to a crisp, the chicken was very low quality(below McDonald's standard) and SO over salted. The chicken & bacon mac and cheese was at least edible, only barely. It was all a total waste of money! Cinetopia had its faults, but it was leagues above AMC. read more

Nope! Big mistake. I'm not picky about movie theaters- but I'll definitely never return. The movie was great, but so loud I put my earbuds in to dampen the sound. The chairs were old so mine tilted down and everyone one else was squeaking the whole time. It smelled bad and was way too warm in there. We ordered food and they gave it to the people next to us. So it ended up being over 45 minutes to get some overcooked, crunchy "soft" pretzel bites and some over cooked boneless wings swimming in bbq sauce. That type of seating isn't conducive to food delivery- had I not ordered food, it would have been awful to have staff walking past me, standing up, and talking mid movie. I didn't have any problems with the staff interactions- just an outdated, stinky theater. I wonder if it's that I've become so accustomed to luxury recliners being the norm- but it felt like the tight crowded seating arrangement led everyone to chatter non stop through the movie too. I was afraid to try the newly purchased theater because I had the feeling it wouldn't measure up to Cinetopia and boy was I right. My disappointment far exceeded my expectations. The theater is understaffed. I was sold the wrong ticket. The ticket taker blamed me for having the wrong ticket. The snack bar is minimal at best. The restaurant is closed and will be changing soon. The manager told me that the theaters had been renovated. That was a lie. None of the theaters have been renovated. When the movie started there were no employees to close the door. Also in the parlor where the entrance has lights on I had to get up and turn them off myself and close the door myself. There appears to be no employees working in the halls. The dirty walls were never painted. The hall was dark from all of the burned out light bulbs. It was dark and dismal and pathetic won't be going back anytime soon. So sad. It is so sad what has happened to this place. When Cinetopia owned it, it was our favorite place to watch a movie. We have seen 2 shows here since AMC has taken over, and the changes have made them likely the last shows we will see here. The theaters are absolutely filthy, and the seats are torn up and neglected. My cup holder had about an inch of liquid in it, with all kinds of nasty things floating in it. The armrest was covered in sticky nastiness. I had to go to the restroom to get some wet paper towels to wipe down our arm rests, and some more dry ones to sop up the yuck in the cup holder. The floors are sticky, and obviously not cleaned between shows. And the few employees wandering around like zombies would obviously prefer to be somewhere else. When AMC purchased Cinetopia they stated they would honor their gift cards. I tried to redeem one, they stated they ONLY honored a select number and I was out of luck. Though I had told all my friends to give this new chain a try, after this experience of poor customer service, I will be telling them to avoid it. read more

My wife and I were HUGE fans of Cinetopia. First visit back since AMC took over and they do not have servers in the theater so you order outside the theater. While they bring food to you, they will not deliver drinks; negative 1 and 2. 3rd negative, no kiosk to skip line to get tickets quickly if you purchased online. 4th negative, relative to Cinetopia their beer and wine menu are not even close to as deep. Like, night and day. 5th negative, the food menu is sparse relative to Cinetopia AND THEY ONLY HAD BURGERS AVAILABLE. 6th negative, they do not tell you which theater the showings are in. So if you prefer the cushy Living room or Movie Parlor, which may not exist any longer, not sure, you will have no idea if those are the theaters you will be seeing your chosen movie in. My hope is this review is responded to by AMC Management and they use this as a checklist to get my business back. Until then STUDIO ONE THEATRES is who will get my money for every movie here forward. I will come back if things improve and I am responded to with and presented with the plan for improvement. So much worse than the Cinetopia that used to be there! The discounts on Tuesday are either not as good or just nonexistent, depending on what you're getting. Rewards members are supposed to get one free popcorn after signing up, but the cashier knew nothing about it so I ended up paying for overpriced popcorn. The website also boasts of a five dollar drink plus popcorn deal, and again the cashier seemed to know nothing about it. I thought the reviews were exaggerating. But oh myyyy, it was bad. Overpriced food and understaffed. Seats weren't terrible as some have noted, but I may be bias since I haven't been to a theater in awhile. What really rubbed me the wrong way was that the AC was almost nonexistent in the theater room I was in. Me and a group of friends went to see F9 during the 110 degree heat wave. We were expecting a decently chilled watching environment. It was hot, occasionally I'd feel a small gust of cooler air at my feet but not often. The lobby and rest of the buildings environment outside the theater room was very cool and nice to be in. We were all laughing about the idea that it seemed like they diverted the AC from the theater rooms to the employees working environment. Probably not the case but still possible? Moral of the story, don't expect comfortable cool temperatures here if that is the respite you desire. read more

We used to visit this location regularly when it was Cinetopia. Loved it!! Place was clean, food was good, reasonably priced, and had in theater service! Last night we visited to watch the new Zombieland movie. Completely DISGUSTED!! The place is FILTHY, sticky seats, garbage on the floor of a basically empty (gasp!) theater. This is the second time we visited this place since the takeover, and thought it might be better this time( last time was the new Spider-Man movie) Nothing has improved! My seat was sticky, the trays were covered in old food, nothing was clean, the food was HORRIBLE!!! We got the loaded bacon fries, which actually weren't bad, and the loaded nachos. At $14.00, what a superior JOKE!! Skeleton crew, who could care less about your experience, Cheapest chips you can imagine, tasted terrible, I could've gotten better nachos at 7-11 for $3!!! We won't be wasting our hard earned dollars here ever again!! They took over an amazing place, with amazing hospitality, and turned it into a complete failure. Disgusted!! When Cinetopia ran this location, it was bustling with activity! The last trips here, it was a ghost town! I think there might have been 4 other people watching this new movie in the theater with us! I went to see a 1:45pm screening of Top Gun: Maverick and arrived at 2pm, which was great, as I don't mind missing the excessive amount of advertisements and trailers. Bought my ticket at a machine inside the theater, which I dislike. Yes, I'm old-school. The young male ticket attendant was rude, and didn't bother to tell me which screen to go to, and I assumed I'd find it easily. I looked at the first few doors and didn't see any indication as to what was playing, so I stated to walk back to the front to ask, and what looked to be an employee was walking towards me and said, "I'm going to where you're going". I sat through 35 minutes of obnoxiously loud trailers for a bunch of dreck, mostly animated features. Movie FINALLY starts...and it's "Minions"!!!!! I had to walk back to the concession area to find an employee to tell me which theater Top Gun was in. And BTW, I had looked at my printed out ticket, but failed to see a theater number on it. So, this lame theater doesn't put movie posters up, nor does it have any type of signage, electronic or otherwise, indicating which movies are on which screen!!! How stupid is that??!! I wound up missing the first 20 or so minutes of the film. Going to a movie theater used to be a fun experience, not any more. From having to pre-choose a seat (dumbest, and most annoying thing ever) to buying tickets from a machine, and being made to sit through numerous previews for crappy movies has made it a horrible experience. read more

I had a horrible experience with guest services recently (under AMC management, not Cinetopia.) The employees working in guest services were rude, and they did not attempt to help me with my problem. I had to contact a manager to get anything resolved, and by that point I was upset and ready to leave. Will not be going back. read more

As they say first impressions are everything and my experience on July 28th 2019 was just sub-par in every way compared to what Cinetopia previously offered. The logo tarp over the old Cinetopia logo should have been a major red flag in how much "care" was put into the reopening of this location, honestly it felt like AMC reopened it in the midst of construction hoping people wouldn't notice. Most of the artwork was ripped off the walls leaving missing patches of paint, the bathrooms were pretty bad, the service was lacking(especially since they removed the ordering at your seat Cinetopia offered), no more 21+ rooms which is a huge turn off for me(I don't drink but I prefer audiences that lack annoying teenagers). In short it went from a classy unique experience to a run of the mill corporate wasteland theater where corners are being cut for the sake of profit. I will not be returning unless there are major improvements and an attempt to give me the quality Cinetopia offered. I want this theater to succeed but if it continues at this level of quality it will probably be out of business in less than a year. read more

This theater was fantastic when it opened as Cinetopia, but has dramatically gone downhill with the subsequent two owners. The GXL seats aren't comfortable at all for me, the living room is pretty worn out and the movie parlor remodel is very uninviting. The deck overlooking the pond is now closed to guests. They closed the sitting room with a fireplace in the lobby. They always seems to be out of food except for popcorn, candy and hamburgers. The name AMC Dine in is a joke! The staff aren't friendly either. This theater is no longer competitive with any of the higher end theaters in the area. I used to go here 2-3 time a week. read more

This place has gone downhill. I got a gift card and so went twice. Both times it was disappointing. The place is dirty. Trash is overflowing in the bathrooms and none of the other trash cans were empty. One place had broken seats and was not cleaned-trash left everywhere. Someone came in shortly before the movie and didn't clean it up completely. Today I went somewhere that supposedly had recliners. No-they are old fashioned seats which lean back(more like tip because they are not screwed in all the way) and you have to balance your food on your lap-no trays. Some dine in! Avoid this place at all costs. Go anywhere but here. This would be a disappointment anyway but more so since it used to be a quality place. AMC you ruined a great spot. read more

How is it possible to close down for a few months and make something great worse?! Amc distopia. My husband and i had to leave 15 minutes into our movie. Ive never done that before!!!! They wouldn't give us a refund because I didn't have paper tickets. They said we could have passes and my husband said we'll never be back so no thanks. I paid almost $12 for a senior matinee ticket for one of their smaller rooms (12). I walked in on the end of another movie and I was the ONLY one at the movie I saw (Hustlers-don't bother). No one came in to see if I wanted to order anything. The person that did come in asked to see my ticket in case I was doubling up on the movies (you're kidding right? THE WORST EXPERIENCE! Imagine it's Friday the 13th and you're expecting a full theater for IT-Chapter 2. There were 8 people, on a Friday night at 9:00 pm! The place was a ghost town. When it was Cinetopia, my husband and I would frequently head to the Restaurant before a movie and order a nice dinner, cocktails, etc. We show up to find the restaurant closed with some kind of "crime" tape blocking off the area and a sign that tells you to go to the bar. We head to the bar and it's just creepy. Two seemingly pissed off bartenders that act like they hate their jobs and took forever to even acknowledge us. Asked for a mojito. "Sorry, we have no mint". Husband orders nachos and asks about the shrimp that used to be an option for a topping. The bartender laughs and says. "Ha! No shrimp either". So we go with nachos, no meat. Some guy brings it to us in about 5 minutes (clearly not made fresh) in a to-go-like box. I notice the sour cream cup looks like it might have chives in it and was runny looking. I dip my chip in it and it taste like tarter sauce! Ugh, so disgusting! We tell the bartender they accidentally gave us tarter sauce and she says, "Uh nope, it's AMC's new cheap version of sour cream! You should have tasted the cheese they wanted to use on the nachos!" The cheese literally tasted like melted cheese whiz! We could not eat! I asked bartender what the hell happened to this place??? Her response, "AMC took over and turned us into the Walmart of theaters!" Wow! We were starving and headed to the concession stand. No more glass counter with delicious looking desserts, just the same over-priced candy counter...fine. Ordered popcorn and headed to movie theater 15 minutes ahead of start time. No one taking our tickets...place is a ghost town!!! The previous movie is still running the credits and people still hanging out. Weird. Drunk couple walks in and sits in front row. Proceed to tell us that they are drunk and want to have a baby together!!! What???? People from previous movie just stay for next one and at some point during the movie the drunk couple have a fight and storm out. Garbage overflowing by exit doors. This is no exaggeration! The entire evening was a complete bust!!! Avoid regardless of how close you live. Sad they took Cinetopia away! read more

Super dirty. I think there were bugs biting my legs. The seat seemed broken and I was leaning back the entire movie. I just felt dirty and itchy sitting in the theater and couldn't enjoy the movie. The bathroom was filthy. We had to buy our tickets at the concession stand because they didn't have anyone else working. This theater is definitely not worth the trip anymore. While there were issues with the theater before it was bought by amc, the overall management of this theater has somehow gotten even worse than before. There are multiple issues we face every time we try to go see a movie here, such as crazy long lines to buy tickets or concessions, super long wait times for food delivery, overall low quality service, and dirty theaters. We've also encountered issues with the seating, as we once selected seats in the middle of the theater, only to find out once we arrived that the seats we had selected online did not exist in the pyshical theater, when we spoke to costumer service we were told nonchalantly that this happens all the time and told to sit in these other available seats that were in the front of the theater, which we of course didn't want, but the employee simply shrugged and laughed about the situation, offering no other solution. Overall, I'll need to see some major changes to this theaters' overall management before I ever see another movie here again. read more
