My favorite movie house on the west side. We drive from Avon Lake to watch movies vs going to Regal at Crocker Park. The reclining sofa style seats are great and the kids enjoy the extra space. The reserved seat is a plus using the AMC mobile app. Needs an IMAX option!! read more

We called prior to our movie visit to ask about our child being allowed in a RATED R movie. We were told that she would be allowed until 10pm. When we arrived they told us we were misinformed and its before 6pm. This was not that big of a deal. However, my popcorn was burnt, the pop and icee machines had more water than pop. After waiting for my burnt popcorn and watered pop we went to see our movie. Floors were still dirty and seats were ripped, some not even being "sittable". read more

The theatre itself - usually clean; the movie's visual and audio components are both good. The seats are comfortable. The food - it's actually really good for cinema snacks. I love the mozzarella sticks and fries. The crowd - unruly and loud. Honestly, if you value enjoying the movie you paid for, this is not the place to go to. Westwood is much better in this regard. People sit their arses in their seats and everyone peacefully enjoys the movie. In Ridge Park, people laugh and scream and talk loudly and you wonder who the heck taught them manners. I mean, I know horror movies are often lame, but that doesn't mean you should howl like hyenas every time there's a scare. FGS. The patrons here are the reason I hate this theatre and prefer Westwood. read more

Ok. I should've known better. I asked the girl at the counter what size popcorn gets refills. Because, like you, everything at a theater is an arm and a leg. She says " any size". To which I reply " oh really?". Then we scarfed our "regular" size popcorn. Then I go to the counter to refill. And " sorry we don't refill regular sizes". What a joke. Shame on her for not being thorough enough in enure the guest was getting what they really wanted. Good job AMC. I wont be back. read more

Great theatre!! Just had my first visit there today. The seats are so comfy, I usually can't go to the movies because I can't sit still and can't get comfortable. Love that the seats can recline, and pretty much lay down while watching the movie. I almost fell asleep because I felt so comfortable, don't know if that's a good or bad thing !! Haha But anyways, the theatre was very clean, and the staff was very nice and helpful. You can also get your tickets on a kiosk, so you don't have to wait in line. I saw a couple people say the candy and drinks were a little expensive, but I actually thought they were cheaper then the other theaters. Looking forward to seeing a movie here again!! read more

Came here for a late night showing of the new Transformers movie. If youre looking for a clean and modern theatre this is not it! Place was a little outdated however, did have recliner seats which were comfortable. The snack bar had my red vines so I was happy. This theatre also has a seperate area next to the snack bar where you can purchase alcoholic beverages ex. Beer and a few different mixer drinks. read more

This was my first time at this theater and I will never return back because the bathroom had water everywhere (hope it was just water and nothing else) and the doors, floor and counter tops were all sticky. The lobby had food and trash on the floor. As I see the employees just standing around checking their cell phones. The recliner seats I've purchased didn't even work, my fiancé and I moved into empty seats. The theater was very warm, didn't seem like the AC was on. I hope all these issues are resolved very soon. Everything about this theater grossed me out. I'll never recommend this. read more

Great theater! The seats are comfortable and you never have to feel like your sitting right on top of the person next to you. Since the new seats have been installed I never go anywhere else. The only complaint I have is that there are always so many people talking or on their phones and never any workers walking through to see this. I would love to see employees actually enforce the rules here or at least check inside the theaters once in a while to stop people from ruining the movie for others. read more

I have been going to movies here since I bagged groceries and fetched carts for Marc's when it was in the space now occupied by Bed, Bath & Beyond...damn that was a long time ago. Anyways, the Theater has been dramatically upgraded: Plush, over-sized, ultra-comfy chairs...that recline- check. The ability to reserve your seat- check. A bar to grab a libation-check. Highly prefer this location for movies - mostly due to the reclining seats and the ability to reserve your seat. Definitely buy your tix online prior to the show so you don't have to wait in line - it's also helpful avoiding an overly crowded theater or settling for bad seats. Concession stand was a mess the day after Thanksgiving (probably one of their busiest days) - it took over 15 minutes to buy a soda. They should definitely increase staffing on this day!! read more

Has gone way downhill. Trashy customers are here who are on their cellphones and laugh and talk during the movie. The seats when you lift up the armrest are dirty with wrappers and previous customer's junk. The concessions are expensive. I ordered a glass of wine and it was $14. Total ripoff and loud, noisy movie experience. The other moviegoers are rude and obnoxious caged animals. read more

Super affordable weekday matinee prices. Decent selection at the concessions. The lobby is pretty no frills, but the recliner theater seating is a huge upgrade from standard wobbly movie seats. My only complaint is that I used Fandango to pre-purchase my admission, but they don't have a ticket taker inside beyond the box office so I basically had to wait in line behind a large family who was arguing about what to see and then protesting the cost of the tickets. It was annoying. If there was a ticket taker I could have bypassed all their stupidity. I'll go back but probably be more assertive and ask to get my ticket scanned while the last minute folks figure their lives out. read more

Went to the first showing of the day on a Sunday. Was forced to use the handicap stall because it was the only one that had toilet paper and/or wasn't clogged. The recliner seats had large rips/tears. Other patrons in the theater were rudely using their phones and talking loudly with no one from the theater getting them to stop and/or asking them to leave. I shouldn't have to leave the theater in mid-movie to report the behavior thereby missing a portion of the movie. It's disappointing that so soon after the renovation the theater is on it's way back downhill. read more

Date night with the husband. Selected this theater for the reclining seats and bar, and the bar is not open. Apparently, they only have one bartender, and if he doesn't come in to work, no grown-up drinks. A poor way to run a business if you ask me. Won't come again. read more

This was my first visit since the remodel. I had heard so many great things about it. Well, I was less than amused. We walked up to the ticket booth and no one was there. Took 2-3 minutes for the guy to come up. We bought our tickets online. So we just had to pick them up. He found them and gave them to us. It was a 3D movie and we had to ask him for the 3D glasses. He didn't mention anything about them. We got a few items from the concessions area. I did like the coca cola mix machine. You can make your own flavor of just about anything. The jalepeno poppers we got were cold on the middle. The worst part was this.... Movie started at 7pm. As 7:15 rolls around a worker tells us there is difficulty with the movie and it should start soon. 10 minutes later, we are told the movie is not working at all. We had the choice to go to the standard viewing and they instantly gave us free passes for another movie. We walked to the other theater and there were already people in seats so we played shuffle. People had reserved seats and had to shuffle around. It was a mess. No organization at all. Thankfully the movie was awesome. I won't be returning to this theater. read more

Can not stress how much I love all the upgrades that AMC has done to this theater! The prices do not reflect that multi-millions of dollars were spent upgrading the theater because the ticket and snack prices are average and even below. My favorite feature here were the large plush leather chairs that allow everyone in the theater to recline their backs and heads. Equipped with cup holders and armrests, you couldn't ask for a better set up to watch a movie. Although I did not buy anything for the bar that night, I noticed they had a large selection of wine, beer, and liqueur. I instead opted for popcorn and an Icee, both of which were delicious! The comfortable seats alone make me want to come back to the theater every time. Keep in mind Tuesdays is discount movie day!! read more

My new favorite movie theatre. Mandi's review of this place sums it up quite nicely. I came here for a middle of the week date night movie, and was taken aback by the upgrades that they've made. I had never been to this theatre or any other movie theatre with such upgrades, so this was surely a pleasant surprise. I've been to theaters with bars so this was no biggie, but it's good to know that it's available. I was more impressed with the reclining seats and coca cola machine even though I don't even drink pop/soda/coke/soft drinks or whatever you prefer to call it. I'm not sure if they have special weekday prices but I ventured out to a different theatre for a weekday show with a similar showtime and paid twice the price. Regardless of the price, this is my new go-to spot for weekday movies. read more

Being a "Parmite", for years I would travel to Valley View because Ridgepark was not really up to par. No longer the case! The changes are fantastic! I feel like a spoiled brat that will dread going to see a movie in a theater without recliners. Temperature is another factor...most theaters I go to and am frozen while viewing. i don't go to too many movies. when i do, however, it's usually always AMC Ridge Park Square 8. i am an AMC Stubs member and enjoy the convenience of ordering tickets and choosing seats from my iPhone. speaking of seats, they have the reclining seats that make watching movies a little more comfortable. of course, as with all modern movie theaters, the concession stand prices are exorbitant. if a soda costs $4, how much can i expect to pay for a beer at their bar? i don't think i intend to find out. i'd urge anyone in the area to check out AMC Ridge Part Square 8 the next time you go see a movie. perhaps the new Mad Max flick. Holy comfortable reclining seats. There is a ton of room. The lobby is tiny and if there are more then a handful of people in line you'll be waiting outside. I do see a problem with possible selling out, since there are very limited seats in the theatres. I'd you plan on seeing a movie on the first night I would recommend buying tickets online. Tickets were reasonable priced, but I hear that is going up soon. Food is over priced even for a movie theater but just eat before you go and you'll be fine. AMC is now my theatre of choice. read more

Went to the movies this weekend to see "The Forest". We ordered tickets through fandango because often times shows are sold out, and we chose our seats. When we get there, the printer is out of paper and had to wait in line which was the purpose of purchasing tickets online (SO WE DIDN'T HAVE TO). Anyways, we finally get our tickets and have to wait forever in line for concession. There was only one person working as the rest of the staff was just waiting around talking to each other. We get our stuff and go into the movie theater just to find out that people already took our seats. We were forced to sit next to a couple that were talking the entire time, not even in English. I would not come back, as I am very disappointed. read more

Wonderful theater. Clean, comfortable seating...love the reclining chairs, great for snuggling. Clientele is hit or miss. Some days loud and obnoxious, some not. Earlier movies are cheaper and quieter, so I suggest a matinee for around five bucks. Bar is nice, but expensive just like everything else in a theater and unless you want to piss off everyone around you (no pun intended) by having beer rear its ugly diuretic properties, hold off. read more

Ticket booth guy was friendly. Theater was clean. Movie was great. Bathroom was clean. The only thing I didn't like which I'm not sure if all theaters do this but they pre bagged their popcorn.
