This is the worst theater In Oklahoma the workers are rude,the place is so dirty and I saw a roach on the floor this is just disgusting

I decided to do a last minute movie here with a friend of mine and luckily we were able to score seats on line on a Friday night. It's been awhile since I've been to this theater so walking in to the building I had to stop and pause for a moment. Immediately to your left is a roped off section to buy or get your tickets. I felt like I was going through a zig zag line at the fair but no one else was in line so I was able to walk right on through and go straight to the desk. I pulled out my phone so the lady behind the desk could scan it, print out my tickets and be on my way. Our next stop was the snack bar. Each theater around town seems to have their snack area set up the same but different. They all sell candy, food, drinks and popcorn but it's the way it's set up that makes the difference. The first thing I noticed looking at the menu was the cool food items available. Gourmet popcorn? Caramel corn! Chicken and waffle sandwiches? OMGoodness! 1.5 lb pretzel? Overload! The new menu items have calories listed as well so you can know how bad of a decision you're fixing to make, as if that really stops anyone from ordering, lol. We had already eaten free snacks at the museum earlier so we each opted for drinks and a box of candy. The drinks here are serve yourself with the new large machines with all the drink options. I love it! I also noticed in passing that they have butter machines set up so you can butter your own popcorn. Nice to know because they never put enough on at some of the other places. We got what we needed and were on our way to our theater. When we got there the previews were already playing and we steadily made our way to our seats all the way at the top. The seats here do recline but the space in the aisles to maneuver while people are reclined is very, very limited. We finally got to our seats, got settled, put our feet up and enjoyed our movie. The theater here has great sound, reclining plush seats, reserved seating, a pretty cool snack bar, is fairly clean (some overflowing trash cans on the way out) and large bathrooms. The only thing I didn't like was that there wasn't enough room to walk to your seat if the people in your row were already reclined out. Other then that it was a great experience. Next time I'll opt for one of the new cool menu items and rack up 3 days worth of calories in one sitting. read more

Last night AMC and their staff went above and beyond. I purchased tickets on Fandango for a 6:30pm showing of Tenet. On the way to the theatre my wife noticed AMC only had showings at 6:00pm and 7:00pm. We called AMC and spoke to the manager, Devin Call. He confirmed our tickets were legit and that Fandango had made an error. He immediately offered us free tickets to the 6:00pm show and had them waiting as we sprinted inside to try and catch the start of the movie. We live in Bixby and even though the Warren is closer we continue to drive out to 41st and Yale for a reason. AMC has the best theatre in town and their staff always goes out of their way. Thanks again Mr. Call and the rest of the AMC team! Also, Tenet is amazing. Go see it! read more

This is literally the worst theatre ever. We've tried it several times because it's the closest to where we live. Tonight was our last straw. We saw the premiere of Oppenheimer and the soda machines were out of everything, the place was disgusting, and worst of all, our theatre didn't have AC and was PACKED full. read more

I'm a really big fan of this theater. It's my go to. First of all, they have reserved seating. I really used to enjoy going to the movies super early, joking with my friends and being a jackass to the employees. That was 20 years ago though, I'm grown now (sort of). Now as long as I get my tickets online beforehand, I can pick exactly the seats I want and just skate into the theater a few minutes before showtime. Perfect for a busy young(ish) professional like myself. Plus, if I get the tix ahead of time, my wife can't back out of going with me right beforehand. That's right honey, I already paid for it so you HAVE to go see the newest Expendables movie with me. We can't afford NOT to go! Plus this one has Steven Seagal in it, and he's fatter than ever but he still tries to do that crazy aikido stuff. So I really need to see that. As for the concessions there's two key advantages to going here. First, they have one of those Freestyle drink machines so there are a ton of options (including Diet Ginger Ale). Second, they have self service butter dispensers. If you see me at this theater you best believe I'm putting that thing to work. I deserve it. So until they finally build an Alamo Drafthouse in Tulsa this is where you will find me every time a new Star Wars movie premieres. read more

they had a remodel about a year ago and removed all the cloth seats and replaced with faux red leather seating - super reclining and very comfy!! They are grouped in pairs so if you are there with a SO, you can raise the center arm and can sit closer together or sprawl out across both seats (if it's empty lol). Some of the seats have started ripping because there are people out there that do not treat things well so some seats aren't as nice as others. You do need to purchase your seats in advance as the good seats will be gone if you try to go to the movie 15-20 minutes ahead of time; this way if you bought your tix already, you don't have to show up 30-45 mins early to find good seats. Now you may have to kick someone out of your seat because they're dumb and didn't actually pick a good seat.. read more

WOW!!! What can I even say about reclining seats? Theater 10 is all recliner and reserved seating. Good view of the screen, good sound and picture. You pay for your drink and they give you a cup. You fill your cup with one of many drink choices. They use coconut oil in their popcorn, YUM, the most calories and taste! The bathrooms have the supersonic hand dryers. read more

I understand when things don't go as expected for a business but when there's already little to no options for cold beverages, low stock of snacks, dirty floors & hot cinema rooms, the last thing you need is crappy customer service. The young lady who attended us made us 100% regret our decision on coming to AMC. I made a joke to make it less awkward and she was so bland, it clearly seemed like she hated her job. Again, we understood the low stock issue but we are still paying customers, the last thing we need is to be made feel uncomfortable enjoying our $$ under those circumstances. read more

This employee named Mikey was very helpful I had a incident at this theater and Mikey offered to help me. Mikey ended up helping me, and he also handled the situation very professionally. He was very kind and he was also very understanding not only that, but like it was had a great attitude, and he seemed like he wanted to help. A group of 8 went to see Mama Mia on a Tuesday night. We were able to get $5 tickets and coupons for concessions, making an expensive night reasonable. I highly recommend the discounts on Tuesday. The bathroom was dirty and out of TP and paper towels. Two stall doors didn't lock The lines were horrible at the concession, the floors sticky and trash on the floors, on seats and in the cup holders. The seats were reclining and comfortable. read more

Came here a few times while in town for work. I went back more than once so it wasn't terrible. The good thing about most chains is that you can expect a similar level of service and quality no matter where you go. That's mostly true of AMC though I've also been to the exceptions. This AMC was good. Good screens and projectors. No blown out speakers. The seats were comfy and the service was fine. It gets super busy obviously depending on when you go but as long as you allow some time this location is fine. read more

Drove two hours to see a movie in IMAX. After sitting through the trailers without audio they stopped the screen, turned on the lights, and told us the movie wouldn't play. Since all other showings were sold out we were left with no option but to drive home. They gave free passes, but the value of those didn't cover the hassle of the drive plus the concessions. Understand things go wrong, but this was the first showing of the day, surely a dry run or test earlier before the showing would have revealed the problem and given them time to resolve. read more

In this theater, they have a 10 inch plexiglass window on top of the ledges separating levels between rows of reclining seats. The plexiglass occupies the bottom half of the view of the screen. read more

I was invited by a friend to go see the Matrix on the big Imax screen last night (Dec. 7) at the 7PM showing. we were both Matrix fans and seeing it on the big screen was too good a chance to pass up. We showed up paid our premium prices at the concession stand before settling in to watch our film on the big screen. All was well, until about half an hour in, just as we're good and wrapped up in the movie, It stops. just.... stops. we wait. the house lights come up. we wait some more... and longer finally after probably 10 minutes somebody comes in and says they're having trouble with the film and it will be on in a few minutes. we continued to wait, with the house lights on for a good 15 minutes LONGER before they finally got the movie going. by this time the young boy we had with us had fallen asleep from boredom and needless the say, the movie had pretty much been ruined for us and we ended up leaving early. I'll tell you, I haven't been in a movie theater in well over a year, and if last night's experience at the AMC Southroads theater in Tulsa Ok is any indication, I will never go back. it was the worst experience I've had at a movie theater. What's worse, is when I went to the website to give AMCD a chance to do the right thing and refund our money or comp us some tickets, There'sw hardly any way to contact them. I almost always come here for my movies it's a great place my only real complaint is it's pretty crowded most times but obviously that's not their fault. The reclining leather seats are nice. Also not crazy about this assigned seating thing i would just like to be able to buy my tickets and sit where i like without having to worry about what seats are available and where and how close they are to the screen i mean obviously i can see where this is important if you are with a bunch of people and you want to sit together. read more

It's been a while since I went to the movies (thanx to firestick lol) but I really like the improvements they've made to their concessions. So many choices now. We arrived late because I knew it would be 15 to 20 minutes worth of credits. The guy wouldn't let us buy tickets to the 3:30 show (guess because we got there about 3:50) so we got tickets for the 4pm show but he did charge us the price for kids tickets and we still ended going into the 3:30 show which hadn't even started... So it was a win all the way around lol. I only wish all their theaters had recliners read more

I feel like the Tulsa and Broken Arrow area is really hurting for an above and beyond movie theater, especially since Regal Cinema wrecked the Warren Theater in BA...but we won't talk about that. We're here to talk about this AMC location, which is, meh, okay. Not great, not horrible, just somewhere in between. So if you're okay shelling out a fortune for movie tickets and concessions for an "okay" experience, this is your place to go. I find the trash cans here are always over flowing and the floors are usually filthy and full of so much popcorn it's like wading through a ball pit. Still, beats the heck out of the Cinemark in Broken Arrow as well, though. So, what's a movie fan to do if you want a big screen experience? I guess just go and pray you get fresh popcorn and a Coke freestyle machine that actually works. I hate that they implemented these coke machines. First of all the flavor never tastes right. It's always watered down or funky, and there is always at least 1 or 2 broken, which if you're there when a new movie just came out, you're going to wait a LOoooooong time to get anything to drink. Then when you see the lid station covered in soda cast off, you'll cringe a bit. I hope that we can get a movie theater in Tulsa that is willing to step and have standards. Until then we will continue to be underwhelmed. read more

the worst theatre in tulsa. every time i've come here there's been an issue. if it's not poor customer service, the pop machine is empty or the ice is out. the floors are always dirty and most of the staff is unfriendly & doesn't care. our theatre was EXTREMELY hot & we all know theaters are usually freezing cold so that's saying something. when notifying the staff of the heat they had an "i don't care" attitude and said the AC was on "it's just hot outside". it clearly is broken or off because you can physically feel the temperature difference from walking down the hall & upon entering the theatre room. they need to fix their attitudes around here, i've tried giving them serval chances but today was my last. read more

I've been to this theater a handful of times in the past year, and this was the first time going after 8pm. It's July 3rd, the night before a major holiday, and there weren't nearly enough employees working. My party and I purchased tickets in advance a few hours before. They really should have at least one dedicated ticket taker for people that have tickets and can just go right to that person to hand your ticket off, and see the movie. Instead it's a line for people wanting to purchase tickets, and people wanting to get through who already have tickets. Then they have a "VIP" line, so these people have priority. Or...wait for it...how about having enough people working to service everyone, and people that have tickets can walk right up and get in? It's such a BS system. We go to purchase concessions, there's one employee on the register, and one or two people working food prep. Again, clearly understaffed. We waited close to 10 minutes for pretzel bites and nachos. The nachos prep time is probably 30 seconds, they warm up cheese in plastic cups, and the chips are already pre-sealed and good to go. Again, not enough people working. One of my friends wanted a coke slushee. It would have been nice if someone informed her their coke slushee wasn't working. Would have gotten something else. Over two hours later after the movie, the slushee machines on both sides looked like they were having issues. Couldn't even get one after. Also she decided to just get regular coke instead, and fill up the cup with it. The machine sputtered, made noise, and it barely tasted like a coke. I'm hoping it lets me attach a picture to this review, the slushee/drink stations were a mess, and neither of the ice machines were working either. Finally, the theater was wayyy to warm. I'm not sure who's in charge of environmental control but it was stuffy and difficult to breathe after sitting there for a bit. I doubt I'll be back to this theater any time soon. I'd rather drive a little more and go to one of their competitors, this was the worst experience I had at a theater on every level imaginable. read more

I've been going to this theater since I was in high school across the way at Bishop Kelley, and I can attest to how far it has come in that time! It's a great central location for Tulsa, and gets almost every movie you would want to see. They have a good selection of theater options from regular standard stuff to the reclining, pick your seat and watch a 3D movie type experience. While this theater isn't as glitzy as some of the others in town, it is always clean, has a security guard, well lit and overall takes any stress out of the movie going experience. I would definitely suggest buying tickets in advance! read more

As a former manager I would like to voice a few complaints. About the facility since corporate never gets back to you. The GM Roger is not a great person. Puts all the blame on others. The AC has had multiple issues and he didn't rush to the problem to step in. But blamed it on his management team. Has had 1 employee walk out in December. Had almost another earlier this year and corporate still doesn't think Roger is to blame. So on corporate do better. Now the GM That has been helping out from Tulsa Hills is not much better. She says the crew are replaceable and doesn't care if they have issues. Like health or family. AMC is not part of the BBB and doesn't pay overtime but makes management work overtime. I have had so many complaints brought to me on how Roger treats his female employees and talks down to them. Just a heads up there are other Theatres out there that treat employees better. I been out dealing with my wife's personal issues and Roger didn't care at all. I tried to inform corporate on his lack of leadership and they didn't care. Just be warned when going to this theatre. Don't get mad at the crew, Corporate and Roger treat them bad. Thank them for all they do the next time you go to a movie. If it's a little dirty just know they won't allow alot of employees at a time because it's not in the budget. And GMs will not get their hands dirty to help. Mic drop. read more

me and my boyfriend had got tickets to see the Barbie movie at 11:15 PM. We went to go to scanner tickets that we ordered online this tall white male that was in a hat had asked if we are 18, my boyfriend is 18 and I am 17. He continue to say that we cannot see the movie because I am under age and I had told him last time we went to see a movie past curfew they let us in because he was 18. as we were leaving two girls had bought their tickets and went to go check in with him. He then asked them if they were 18 and they both said yes then I asked him why didn't he asked for their ID like he did me and my boyfriend, he said, because they look of age, I've been said so I don't look of age? he then didn't know what to say so I said. if I would have told him I was 18 and lied would he have asked to see my ID and he said yes then I said, why didn't you ask them for their ID and he again said because they look of age so I think the guy was racist because I was black terrible service. Large plush reclining chairs. I mean... I don't even have to like the movie with seats like these! With the easy kiosk to get our tickets and skip the line, this is one easy theatre to navigate and not have to arrive early to a show for. Of course, there are overpriced concessions and some video games. Pretty basic chain movie theatre... but LARGE PLUSH RECLINING CHAIRS! Need I say more? read more

BIG RED CHAIRS! That's what you need to know. Because unless you are an independent theater or the Alamo Draft House all movie theaters are pretty much the same. Until now. AMC just crushed the movie theater game with the introduction of super cool comfy recliners. Let me put it this way, they are way easier to cuddle in than normal theater seats and you do t have to rub shoulders with the strange fat man next to you. Way to go AMC! I do believe AMC was the first in the Tulsa area to have the reserved, recliner seats in their theater. However Cinemark and Warren both offer these features now and don't have as many issues as AMC. For one they have changed the ticket taking method inside the theater. Any other theater once you are inside you just walk right up to a ticket taker, they tear your ticket and tell you whether your theater is left or right. At AMC you must get in a line that's usually about 5minutes long waiting for people to get their 3D glasses and such at guest services just so they can tear your stupid ticket. There is sometimes an "express" line which is setup like any other theater but they'll tell you it's for Stubs members only and everyone else has to wait in the guest service line. It's just an added delay/inconvenience they've added that serves absolutely no purpose. My other problem with AMC is they've failed horribly to maintain their seats. When the new seats were installed they dramatically upped ticket prices due to the cost of the renovation and the fact that the new setup allowed for fewer seats per theater. If I'm going to pay $12 for a movie ticket I expect a great seat that works. Today I saw a movie in theater 8 row C. The 2 seats we had looked like something you'd find at a city dump. The leather was completely sliced down the middle with the foam coming out on one, the other seats leather was cracked in several spots. One of the arm rests also had the leather entirely ripped. I've never seen any chairs damaged or worn like that at Cinemark and their tickets are slightly cheaper. Ten years ago AMC was about the only theater I'd go to. Now I usually only go there if I have to due to showtime options. read more

This is by far the best theater in all of Tulsa. I don't find the prices too steep and everything is better when you have a reserved seat ahead of time and nothing to worry about! It's like on the airplane when someone is in your seat and you go *AHEM* Best thing ever. Plus not only are they assigned, they're BIG AND COMFY. Electrical recline even, so no notches to choose between. Only thing that bugs me is when I get too comfy and hit the button constantly and move all over the place. Now remember, IMAX is assigned but they aren't so comfy...I warn you now, these other theaters (in this cinema) will ruin IMAX for you because you will only want to return to the best chairs ever. Another great bonus is you cannot see the people in front of you, or in back of you anymore, it's all the more experience just being able to see only the movie. Sometimes I pretend I'm in my living room. =D Now, apart from the reserved seating, this theater is very nice, clean and well kept. The bathrooms are no touch everything and sanitary. Everything is always swept, no popcorn in the seats (or melted candy) and they've always been pretty helpful at the concession stands. I know no one can beat our awesome cheap theaters in Tulsa, but if you want a little spoiling hit up this one for a night, you won't be disappointed. read more

I love this theater! They have awesome chairs to get comfortable in while watching a movie. We went to see DIVERGENT on preview night and had a great time. The theater even has good prices at the snack counter. They even have a pizza combo now. Kenny loved the seats, they were so nice to lounge in. We were able to get reserved seats near the front. We plan to come back to see more movies here. read more

AMC has become my movie theater of choice, and I watch a lot of movies. AMC has been around for a little while now and has gone through many changes. When I was a youngster, I went to AMC with some kids who lived on my street and one of their moms. We were nine or ten and she took us to see this movie called "Titanic" - needless to say, she didn't know how much of Kate Winslet we'd be seeing that day. But, that's a story for another day. AMC is by far the nicest theater in Tulsa. There are the reclining seats - tickets are a little more pricy, but this place is targeting an older audience than most of the industry. This is well worth it - people don't talk, text, or generally act obnoxious during the movies. The only exception to this is that everyone else seems to get up ten times per movie to go to the bathroom. The concessions are typical, except that they have the spiffy pop machines where you pick what drink you want and can pick what flavorings you want. (Vanilla Diet A&W and Diet Coke with any number of flavorings are pretty good bets!) The recliners in the theaters are enormous, so much so that there are significantly fewer seats in each auditorium than at other theaters. This is nice - even when the theaters are full (which happens a lot - we usually buy tickets ahead of time... and did I mention the seats are reserved and you get to pick them out ahead of time?) you're not too close to someone you don't know, and who you probably don't care to know. Overall, this is a really cool movie theater. I love the changes - check it out if you haven't yet. Since the chairs come in sets of twos, it's best to go with a date instead of a large group. If you can stomach the ticket price, you'll love it. read more

WOW! This is the best way to watch a movie!! Clean atmosphere, clean restrooms, different variety of drinks, and snacks...oh and did i mention.....RECLINING CHAIRS? No seriously THEY RECLINE! I mean how cool and comfy is that? Another thing is their night staff is super nice and funny so they make you as happy as you were when you walked into the door..Usually in theaters i'm cold but i wasn't at this one...i suppose they keep it at a good 70 F maybe 75 F so not enough for you to get cold, but you be the judge of that since were all different :) Go check them out if you haven't yet...you won't be disappointed!! read more

At first, you're thinking, "Woah, these tickets are kind of expensive. Isn't this the AMC?" When I was growing up, the AMC wasn't that prime of a movie theater in Tulsa. It was all right, but not one of the better ones. Well, they had a major upgrade some time in the past 10 years (as it's been about that long since I had been there). The viewing rooms are much more cozy now. There aren't nearly as many seats--maybe 50?--and the seats are HUGE. Seriously, you can pretty much lay down with a small child in one seat and be comfortable. They recline, they're plush, they're lovely. After realizing that, the ticket price didn't seem bad at all. read more

Completely disgusting theatre from start to finish. We were excited to visit this theatre because of their reclining seats, but this place is filthy. I would give it 0 stars if possible and won't be returning. I ordered an ice cream at the concessions stand and it was clearly refrozen after having melted. The restrooms were gross, smelled nasty and had dried urine all over the floor. The seats we were assigned had sticky spots from old spills. I'd much rather visit an older theatre with standard seats that actually cleans and puts at least some effort into customer experience. read more

Reclining Leather Seats. What more do I need to say? The concessions service is unpredictable. But, I guess that's to be expected when operated by teenagers. I wasn't originally a fan of the new "help yourself" soda machines. But, I've grown to appreciate the concept. And, I don't think I've ever received a bad batch of popcorn at this theatre which is impressive. Overall, this is by far my favorite Tulsa theatre. read more

I typically am not a fan of most movie theaters (standing in long lines, sharing an armrest with the stranger next to you, etc) but I really enjoy coming here. I always purchase my tickets and choose my seats online then print out my tickets at the handy kiosk they have out front. Super easy and convenient. You can even preorder your snacks when purchasing your tickets online, but I've never done that. By choosing your seats online, you get to avoid that whole awkward situation of standing at the front of the theater and whispering to your companion about which seats you should take. The recliner seats are super comfortable and they're grouped in twos so you have a little space between the stranger next to you. I've only been here for matinees, but it's never too crowded and always clean. read more

I got this movie theatre mixed up with another. I could of sworn I came here and they had nice big seats that reclined and of good quality. Boy was I wrong. The seats were old,small and dirty looking. Probably was dirty. That's a place I wouldn't want to be if there was a bunch of people inside. Even tho there wasn't a lot of people I was still disappointed by how uncomfortable the seats were and how the seats smelled. It reminded me of city bus seats and I haven't been on a city bus in over 5 years.The butter machines were unused they give u a small and I mean really small a container of butter with a large popcorn. This should be a dollar movie theatre. Won't come back and Wouldn't recommend. read more
