This place is a absolute joke. We were here last week. A black couple that was in front of us didn't have on masks and nothing was said to them at all. Then once we got to the counter we were told to put on mask. Me and my better half both have medical conditions preventing us from wearing them. Once i explained this to the girl she let us go by and gave us our drink. While i was filling my cup she wasn't aware that i was standing there. I over heard her talking crap about us not wearing a mask. Tonight we go back to amc and wasn't allowed in saying that without mask we aren't allowed into the theater. This place clearly picks and chooses when and who they want to inforce there rules. read more

I loved this theater! As soon as you walk in, there is a bar to your right. Hi I your left is where you get your tickets and you just walk up to the thing to punch it into the computer yourself if you're paying by card. It is reserved seating so you can pick the seats you want to sit at or do it online through your phone. The seats recline so it's very comfy. read more

Came here for the first time with friends - none of us had been here before. The inside is a really nice place and the theater is comfortable, but whoever designed the entry, they should never be allowed to design anything again! The entrance appeared to be in the mall, but it wasn't... it is a separate building detached from the mall. So it begged the question, why didn't they fax the front of the theater toward the parking lot? Rhetorical, because we'll never know. You park behind the theater and have to walk around the building as if you're walking to the dump area of the mall... it's weird. No idea who designed this place to sit like that. Let me start with the less than perfect. The theater is smaller by almost half from the other AMC theater in the area, so the selection of films is comparatively small. It is located in the mall parking lot so parking (at least during the holidays) is rough. Last nit picking thing, the entrance is located in a wyrd spot. Now the good. The staff are friendly. The theaters have reclining seats, and thus wide aisles to pass through. There is a bar at the theater in addition to traditional movie fare. The seats all offer an excellent view of the screen, and with the reclining seats, even the front row doesn't leave you craning your neck to watch the movie. Finally if you enjoy going to the movies on a regular basis, I would suggest the AMC premier subscription. Three movie a week for under 25 a month is a great deal. read more

What's the point of having reclining seats if you can't recline without your view being obstructed? The pane of glass might be clear but it still interferes with your view of the screen . It is between each level. I am 5' 5" and had to sit straight up to see the full screen. This theater sucks. read more

First time at the Stones River 9; surprised with the entrance- opposite of parking lot, which was very different. But once inside the theatre is very nice. No need to stand in line with the kiosk ticket sales. Not knowing the lay out of the theatre, we just guessed at picking our seats- fortunately we picked a fairly good spot. Not accustomed to a bar in a movie theatre- but it's the first thing you pass when you walk in. The staff were slow at concessions even though the soft drinks are self serve. The recliner seats are super nice and there is plenty of room between the rows. The only down side was that we sat at the end of a row and the floor lights are extremely bright and can be distracting. The screen is huge and the sound is amazing. It a great place to enjoy a movie! read more

This is my favorite movie theater. I love the reclining seats. They have a bar and offer a wide variety of food. Glad they added an additional drink machine. They offer different gourmet popcorn. Theaters are always clean. The ice machine is often down. Great place to watch a movie. read more

This place was awesome when it first opened. Still nicer than other theaters in town. However, the past few times I've been there at least one of the soda machines was out of mostly everything...on a weekend none-the-less. Today one was completely out of everything causing a terribly long line for soda. They also stopped selling the annual popcorn bucket. To top things off, was leaving and mu daughter slipped on the floor which was overly wet. We found ourselves in Murfreesboro for a quick lunch and decided to stick around for a movie. After using our handy dandy Yelp app, we found AMC Stones River 9 just a few miles down the road. It had the movie we wanted to see on Moviepass so we were in. When we arrived, we realized it was connected to a mall. Well, not actually connected since you have to exit the mall to get to the theater, but close enough. Side note: we had some time to waste before our movie so we decided to check out the mall. Holy cow this mall has nothing. My advice is skip the mall and grab a drink or something at a nearby restaurant if you have extra time. Back to the theater. With only 9 screens, it's a smaller theater but they still had all of the new releases with plenty of showtimes. We went up to the counter to buy our tickets and were told that since we have Moviepass, we had to use the computer to buy the tickets ourselves. The worker was very friendly about it and helped us out. I'm sure he gets this a million times a day so I really applaud him for showing no signs of annoyance. The computer is really easy to use and we had our tickets in no time. The theaters are all the recliner seats so you get to choose where you sit beforehand. We still had about 15 minutes to waste but it wasn't a problem because they have a nice bar area. The bar has a good selection of beer on tap. I didn't check out the menu but it looked like a full bar. I saw the bartender mixing a few cocktails. They also serve some food if you need a snack. The actual concession stand is your typical movie theater selection and price point. AMC has the fancy new soda machines that let you add flavors to your soda. The cherry coke is pretty delicious. The actual theater is pretty nice. It looks like it was recently remodeled. The seats were all reclining and had plenty of space in between people. I had people on both sides of me but barely noticed. How spoiled are we nowadays with these seats?! The screen was huge and the sound was loud. The theater was really clean. I became a stubs member in June '19 and It was such a great decision. I now come here all the time; it's really an amazing deal. This theater is always pretty clean and the workers are incredibly nice. I'm a special education teacher, and one night a big group of us came into see Frozen 2. Most of my students used a coupon with a deal for teenagers- a cameo drink + popcorn. The staff was SO awesome with our students; I was very impressed with everyone's patience and kindness. I will most definitely continue coming here (many times a month) for as long as I can! read more

This is the best movie theatre in the boro!! While pricey I think the experience is amazing and the seats are so comfy! I love how you buy your seats ahead of time so no rushing to get there early. Although i believe they should advertise that more because the first time my family went we had no idea and ended up having to sit in the very front row (we hate sitting in the front). Be sure to arrive super early. You will stand in line for 20 minutes to order concessions then spend another 15 in the self-serve drink line. Instead of 6-8 different workers fixing drink orders, everyone stands in line at TWO self serve drink stations. Unreal. read more

This was grand opening of the new theater located at stones river mall. I gotta say I was impressed by it. The outside didn't look like much inside was another story. Inside there wasn't much people working but I see there's a lounge of some sorts. Inside the imax room was very huge, the sound quality was awesome and gotta say it's a great experience. Only problem I have with it is that it was under looked under staffed. Took awhile to get tickets. read more

If it wasn't for the reclining seats and being able to choose your seat when you buy your ticket, I would give this place ZERO 's. This place was nice the first month or so after opening. But now it is a dump! I do not think it has been cleaned since it opened. The kids taking tickets are playing on their phones most of the time. The drink machines are always messed up and/or has a seriously long line to wait in. The icee machine is rarely working right, it spits out liquid instead of frozen drinks despite the light says it is ready. I swore I wouldn't go to another movie theatre because of the comfort of the seats but I am quickly rethinking this!! Bought tickets and food online but got there and was told chicken strips are no longer available even though it let us purchase them online and they are advertised at the concession stand still. Then, the seats are NOT cleaned, as soon as we got two hours and looked at them, one had popcorn in it still and the other had greasy fingerprints on the arms, fortunately I carry wet wipes and wipe them all down myself. read more

This theater is horrible for a first time viewer. First, there are no signs showing how to get in the theater and the entrance is hidden from the parking lot so I kept driving around in circles just trying to figure out where I should park. Finally, I thought I saw some doors on the side of the building but it turned out they were not entrance doors. You have to go to an interior entrance that is not visible from the parking area. I am older and this extremely long walk was not worth it. Next, there is no one to buy tickets from. You have to go to a machine that requires you to pick out a seat. I don't know where I want to sit unless I am in the theater to see where the seat is located. I had to keep going back and forth to the guy who takes the ticket to ask questions so by the time I did buy a ticket, the line was so long to get refreshments that I was afraid I was going to miss the show. The one good thing about this theater are the reclining seats. They were awesome. Unfortunately, the popcorn which costs $18 for that and a drink was such small kernels, it tasted like it was the bottom of the popcorn maker that had been sitting there all week. Then when it was time to go, I could not figure out if there was a better exit than the entrance, so I had to exit from the entrance which took me 20 minutes to reach my car on the other side of this huge building. My new favorite movie theater! I got spoiled by the reclining seats at the Green Hills theater earlier this year, so I'm happy this theater has opened much closer to home. It's super clean, even the bathrooms. Service from the ticket taker wasn't super great but I paid for our tickets online so that didn't bother me too much. We'll definitely be back! read more

Love this place!! From the reclining chairs down to the crazy topping selection for their popcorn!! All members get tickets for $5 every Tuesday so we take advantage of that for sure. Very clean, hip place. They also have a bar which can be a bit pricy but a beer and a movie never did me wrong! read more

The seats are amazing and the theater was new and clean, but there were issues that will ruin your movie experience. The staff was rude and surly, but I don't expect much, so that didn't bother me. It did bother me that my son couldn't get a military discount because there was no one manning the ticket booth; it was kiosk only. When we got into our seats I was impressed and really optimistic, but our movie was completely drowned out by the movie next door. I'm not saying that I could hear the movie next door and it was annoying, I mean to say that I couldn't tell what was my movie and what was the other. It wasn't just vibration either, it was explosions, music, and dialogue. It was very disappointing to see a new modern theater that already doesn't care and would fail at such an important part of the movie experience. read more

Best thing about this theatre is it is brand new, comfortable chairs and you can select seats so you don't have to get there 30 minutes before the feature starts. However, after buying ticket on line and going to the ticket taker with our scanned ticket we were told her scanner doesn't work and had to go back to the ticket line, scan our ticket and get a paper ticket. She said it's broke a lot. Worse part..outrageous prices for food and drink and line is backed up trying to get food and sodas from only 2 machines right next to each other in the hallway to the theaters. Also, was out of some drinks and places was nasty with spilled sodas, ice, etc. Should spread the machines out and keep them filled. Hope it won't get worse when they open the bar! read more

I just left this theater and walked out an exit leading to side parking lot. The door was propped wide open, anybody could have easily walked in, zero security. Attempted to call the manager on duty and give them a heads up, but got a recording, no way to leave a message. I closed the door and saw 4 associates apparently taking the trash out. Owners, management, associates, step up and do your job. This is my hometown, keep us safe. read more

I'm giving this three starts strictly for the "Dine In" portion. The bad: the menu selection is small. Very small. They make the food in front of you so you are literally seeing it come out of a plastic bag and heated in a microwave and then paying 30 dollars. I was appalled. Then you have to wait for your food in the crowded lobby area instead of someone bringing it to you so make sure you get there 20 minutes prior to the movie starting just for that. The theater had no trays for you to set your food on so you have to have it in your lap and they give everything individually so you have a lot of items to hold on to. Very inconvenient and just not good for the person Trying watch a movie. Also a manager i am assuming was angrily telling an employee how to do his job and what not to do in the middle of the hall in front of the customers, very unprofessional. The good part about it was the theater was nice, clean and big. The seats were comfy and everything is nice. I will return but not to eat, period. read more

The entrance is in the back corner farthest from the parking. We arrived and it had not been raining, it started coming down and we were soaked by the time we made the long walk to the door. There is no covering at all over the main walkway. Can't understand why they built like this. Don't go here if it's raining! We were miserable and wet the whole movie. If they address this problem such as with a covering or awning along the way, I'll be glad to delete this. read more

This is not the best theater. The online ticket sales, preselecting your seat, the reclining seats in the theater and the actual movie are the best parts. Went to a late show last night and again didn't have a great experience. The young lady scanning tickets was rude and yelling across the room at another employee instead of greeting us like human beings. The concession stand was being manned by one employee, while another sat on the counter and three others were hanging out. The Freestyle Coke machine, as usual was out of nearly every syrup. The drink area as a whole was filthy with napkins and straw wrappers stuck in the spilled drinks everywhere. The restrooms are pretty nasty as well with trash overflowing, water everywhere and a nice urine smell from the clogged urinal. The actual theater is nice and the movie was great. The sound and picture quality is always great. Just know going in that the experience before your show may be a dumpster fire. It has been consistently bad on my last four trips to this theater. read more
