Good movie selection and popcorn refill - nice people working, even though services is slow at times. App purchase makes a big difference

Very disappointing evening at this theater. It was quite obvious that it needed a thorough cleaning, but the least that could be done was a quick wipe of the food trays at each seat between guests. This is a theater where food is served at each seat, so it felt a lot like I was sitting at someone's dirty kitchen table during a long meeting. We also waited over an hour for our food, which was delivered to the wrong theater and had to be remade. I thought it was strange that the girl I gave the order to told me to "let the manager know if there was a problem with the order." That was prior to waiting over an hour, so clearly she knew that their kitchen doesn't function well. They were also out of some items on the menu before 8pm. Bathrooms were also unkept. It's definitely not a theater I would return to. read more

This is a great theater. Came by to see a movie that was only playing at select theaters on a specific day. The theater was comfy and clean and the sound was great. I was here one time previously but it was owned by a different company I believe and I much prefer it now. Great theater!!! read more

The reclining chairs and space you have to walk around is where it's at, especially for tall people like myself....room to stretch out is nice! Ordering food is easy and it's nice to have it delivered to your seat so you don't have to carry it all while trying to find your seat. read more

This is the second time in the past 6mos we've been to this theater, and it will be the last time. Both times, the experience was incredibly disappointing. On both visits, after paying more than $100 for 3 people to see a movie, have regular sodas, and share 1 popcorn, we find the concession staff rude, the popcorn cold and stale, the soda machines out of ice, and everything absolutely filthy. The self-serve soda area looked as if it had not been wiped down or swept up in a week and the tray tops inside the theater were sticky with dried food and soda. Going to the movies used to be an affordable and very enjoyable evening out, this place offers neither. Just unbelievable how badly this place is managed. They seriously need more competition. If giving zero stars was an option, I would have done so. read more

Very rarely do I give really bad reviews, as I try to be understanding. Let me preface this by saying the facility itself is ok, but the staff is AWFUL. All I saw were teenagers working, which yes it is hard to find staff. However, not one of the 4 teenagers I interacted with put their phones away long enough to actually do their job. The first one I encountered at the ticket counter could barely figure out where she was or that she even had a job. When I asked a question she rudely replied "how would you expect me to know that?" It was literally a question of which theatre the movie was located in. Case and point, couldn't put down her phone long enough to do her job. She was annoyed that people were in line for tickets.... Again her freaking job! Next teenager I deal with at the concessions can't be bothered to deal with people because she is on her phone too. She literally looks at the guy standing next to her and with me standing right there rolls her eyes and says "you deal with her". Excuse me? Am I not supposed to order anything because you can't put your phone down? I feel sorry for businesses that people like this is the best they can even get, due to staffing issues. Needless to say, it took every bit of self restraint to keep from reminding these brats that they were getting paid to do a job so perhaps they should try to actually do it. They're not serving in those theaters currently! But they sure still have it in their name!! But the concession counter was open, so we can get food there, right? Nope! Went here tonight to see a movie. Went to the bathroom during the movie to see an employee, about 6 foot tall shortish blonde hair with a hat storm out of a bathroom stall without washing his hands. When I left the restroom, I can see the guy in the kitchen where he works. I immediately told someone "he shouldn't be back there. He just left a stall, and didn't even bother to wash his hands". I was directed towards who I'm assuming is the kitchen manager. I'd say he's about 5'4 mostly bald like me. I told him and he went into the kitchen. I assumed that things would be taken care of. Hygiene, especially when it comes to what someone does in a stall, is about habit. If this guy didn't even mind to pretend to wash his hands in front of a customer, I can all but guarantee you he doesn't do it when he's by himself. The movie was long, and I had to use the restroom again. I ran into who I thought was the kitchen manager. He told me that he had the guy wash his hands and put gloves on. I told him "I'm never coming back as long as he is in the kitchen". He told me that AMC gives verbal warnings, and doesn't enforce sanitary issues like this. Now, I want to be very clear. Someone who doesn't have a habit to wash their hands after going to the restroom shouldn't be cooking, prepping, delivering food. Period. I'm talking about the hands that prep things that we trust when we put the food into our bodies. He shouldn't be doing it. If AMC wants to keep this guy employed he can be taking tickets, or doing janitorial work. That isn't a judgement of him, I'm more concerned with my heath and the thousands of other people that get served food there every day. I am truly, whole heartedly disgusted by the fact that someone with filthy habits like this is in the kitchen. I'm horrified that the response was "well I made him wash his hands this time, I can't do anything else". I'd really like for management to reach out to me regarding this incident, as it's just disgusting. We all knows what happens when you're in a stall. There is no recycling for any of the aluminum and plastic containers they sell. All the junk food for sale is priced too high.

We love seeing a good movie & this theater has been our go to! The IMAX experience is phenomenal, some of the seating could use an update (leather was worn) but the viewing & sound was incredible! Concessions are quite good, staffing could be better - improve speed, manners & smiles. I pay for the "fast lane" treatment & it tends to run at a snails pace. Going to a movie is all about the experience from the moment you arrive. Have fun read more

If the chicken strip meal wasn't $19.99 I would give them higher stars, but the food pricing is ridiculous and it makes you want to eat out before you get there. The server was also rude and needs customer service training. On the bright side, the theater was clean, the seats are nice and the chipotle chicken flatbread was pretty tasty. read more

I love how this theater has the Coke freestyle soda machine and everything from drinks, to butter, straws and napkin is all self serve. The line went by pretty quick because of the amazing teamwork this location has. Everyone works together to make the concession stand line not long for everyone. They offer over 20 minutes worth of commercial time. Which is more than enough time in my opinion to eat some popcorn and stand in line again for a refill if you ordered a large size popcorn. This location is very clean and staff is very friendly. read more

Went to my first movie out in over 18 months. Place is clean though sparsely staffed. Most of the menu items weren't available, popcorn not quite freshly popped... however, seating was clean, floor not sticky, restrooms clean. Sound system rocked. I would return. Horrible service on August 30th. Went for the 7pm show on the opening day of Reagan. Our Fandango tickets indicated Theater 4 and staff directed us (and about 20 others) there, despite the fact that it was the wrong theater! We figured it out quickly and asked to see a manager for help. We made it to our movie just a few minutes before it started, though the young lady who claimed to be a manager was anything but helpful and didn't offer any apology. We eventually got our food. Not worth the price of admission. Going forward, we will just wait until the movies we want to see are available via streaming. read more

They claim to be a dine-in theater and the website advertises a menu. My wife and I came hungry, expecting lunch and a movie. But when we got here, we were informed the kitchen is not making food. The web site says nothing of food no longer being served at this location. Furthermore, the tickets we purchased claimed to be for the IMAX theater. The theater we were shown to was a standard theater. Everything about this experience left me frustrated and angry. Don't go to this theater. You will be ripped off. read more

A lot of times at the end of the night the restrooms run out of paper and supplies. - Theater 4 - Bathrooms 2 Food - Quality 5 - Choices 5 - Prices 3 (yea it's pricey, but stop complaining) Pros 1. Convenient to people living in Franklin, and a plethora of places to eat all around. 2. Dolby Cinema! 3. Food in dinner theater is really good. 4. High quality sound. Cons 1. Sometimes easy to unknowingly reserve a seat on the sides of the theater with bad 2. Yea it's pricey (but stop complaining). 3. Not all screens have reclining seats. RATING NOTES 5: should be the best experience you could've possibly had for that type of business 3 or 4: this is certainly not a negative. Things have improved in Cool Springs since AMC took over. All of the theaters in the backside are recliner seating now and you can order dinner in some. A definite win in my book. Bonus, the crowds are less messy than in Bellevue? ;-) I have always enjoyed the Thoroughbred theater, even when it had clunky seats (which they still do in the IMAX and other theatres down that hallway. Now I am spoiled and I love the fact they have a princess line for a princess like me. LOL I also like the bar and the dine in. The food is not at the highest level but definitely elevated from the popcorn and drinks at the standard concessions. And you actually get to eat from dinnerware, not plastic and paper. And the menu has some nice items on it for not too much more than you would pay at restaurants in the area (portions slightly smaller). Much cleaner and you get to fill your own drinks. And reserved seating to boot. A great experience in my book, especially remembering where it was before. read more

Im really not the person to complain about places I go. But this place was absolutely disgusting and nobody working seemed even half interested in cleaning up anything. We watched one of the last movies of the night and walked out with only security guards left and all the trash were overflowing trash all over the ground. I'm a once every few months kind of movie goer. With that said, I do not subscribe to any paid rewards programs, but only the free AMC Stubs "Insider" which allows me to accumulate points with every purchase that I can eventually redeem for $5. I also get a free refill on a large popcorn, and online ticket fees for 4+ tickets are waived. If you are really into movies I'd look into the Premiere ($15/yr) where every online ticket fee is waived or the A-List ($19.95/mo) and you can see up to 3 movies a week. I came here to watch a movie close to home, in a reclining leather seat and eat some nachos. They nailed the first 2, but the prepackaged nachos were a big disappointment. In general, prices and options for food at the concession stand are unreasonable, but I would be much more inclined to pay a little bit more for a better meal off the dine-in menu. read more

This is a great concept for turning a trip to the cinema into a complete event. I met a friend there mid-week, and buying a ticket about 25 minutes prior to show time was a breeze. A special note about buying tickets: this theater has assigned seats. So if you are going with friends, either synchronize your arrivals so you can buy/select seats together, or appoint one person to buy tix so everyone can set together. Once ticketed, hit up concessions or mosey over to the bar to select an adult beverage, which you may bring inside the theater. Libation in-hand, find your super comfy seat. Recline, relax and grab the menu at your table. Yes, you read that right: each cushy lounge chair also has it's own tray table. Review the options; quickly, your server will be by to take any additional drink orders as well as food orders. My server swiped my card at her remote POS machine and handed it straight back to me. The menu is robust. At a friend's recommendation,I ordered a flatbread. It was tasty, but a bit salty. My friend had the Cobb salad, which she said was very good. Near the end of the movie, out server returned with the check, which I signed as credits were rolling. This was a seamless and fun way to take in dinner and a movie. read more

First impression was the most awful burnt butter/popcorn smell today. It was every bit of a standard theatre...and decent concession stand. The movie I was seeing, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, played in 2 theatres, and due to the movie times...I paid $2 more per ticket for the one playing in the "BIG D" (hey...that's what it is called...do not even think of this as a sexual innuendo!), Absolutely beautiful and HUGE screen, super comfy seats (felt like I was in a super-uper race car), and perhaps, the most amazing audio/sound I've ever experienced at a movie. FANTASTIC movie experience!! Get rid of that darn stank, and this would have been a 5 star rating! read more

Had to sit through 45 min of commercials and previews that were playing SO LOUD!! It was ridiculous! Had to hold my ears closed or wait outside the theatre till the scheduled show was to start. Sorry this is not a Imax theatre! Imax screens are dome shaped, this screen is flat. Go to regal Imax at opry mills, that is a true imax theatre. To top it off we arrived early so we could enjoy a few drinks. Out of Cabernet wine out of regular beer. We drove 45 minutes to get here and the place was run down and filthy. We purchased tickets through Fandango for a showtime at this theater that didn't exist. Management had us pick out seats for a new showtime that was already 15 minutes past starting. We missed previews, and then had to choose different seats once inside because the ones we were assigned were actually taken. Though Fandango may have been cause for the initial screw up, it didn't seem that management or staff knew what was going on that night. They tried to get me in a show that was sold out but actually cancelled, gave me seats that were taken, scanned my ticket and sent me to a movie time that didn't exist, and then felt it was all on Fandango to fix. Bartender was nice, but the seats weren't great and service was poor. read more

By far best theater around! I love the dine in movie experience. Recliner Seats were comfy and it reclined all the way back! I love that u can order food and cocktails throughout the movie! They have a pretty good food selection. Better than just your basic popcorn , candy and soda. read more

I don't know why this place doesn't have better reviews. We went and saw the movie Onward and had a great time. The theater has reclining seats for the dine-in section, I can't speak to the other sections of the movie theater. It had a good array of drinks and food and the staff was pretty attentive throughout the beginning and duration of the movie. We had a few alcoholic drinks and shared a sampler. PREVIOUS DRAFT: 1 Tried calling to get matinee days/pricing and no answer/cannot leave a voicemail. 2 Asked a question on here, no response UPDATED: I have been here a few times and none of my experiences have been very good. The remodel was obnoxious and took a long time, after the remodel there weren't any staffing directing which way to go or take your ticket stub. We consulted with a bar staff member to find out about ordering food and the reclining seats, then we realized our theater didn't have the reclining seats or the access to order alcohol to our seats, it was really disappointing. Staffing feels like a bunch of young kids that don't care. It is pretty obvious the management is very hands off. It still feels run down and smells weird. The self-serve ticket kiosks I do not think save time or lines, especially because even to a competent electronic savvy adult they weren't very user friendly to get in and out fast, like the potential the kiosks could have. Overall I don't think I would recommend this location, but it's the only thing that's close enough to make it work without driving about 40+ mins into town and parking. read more

Don't see anything in the Dolby theater here. I spent months telling them there was an issue with the projection going red and they kept telling me they would look into it and finally I took a picture of it and was told there's no ETA to fix it. In response, AMC gave her food coupons. Food coupons are not the adequate approach to dealing the racial and cultural insensitivity. If she is experiencing this, chances are she is not the only one and will not be the last. AMC should require its employees to go through an interactive cultural competency training and gain knowledge on the injustices People of Color face in our country, including instances like this. read more

Came here to try out the dine in recliners! I was so shocked at how amazing the seats were. Better than my home recliner! It was comfy and spacious. Ahhh. Now to the food. I ordered the Asian Steak and Shrimp bowl which was surprisingly DELISH! So, wondering why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5? The first reason is poor service. We had to hail down our server and after he delivered our food, we couldn't even get his attention again. They brought my Mom's food without a napkin. Strange. Second reason is the concept of eating in the dark...and I mean the dark dark. I'm surprised I didn't have food dripping down my shirt when I left. Part of the reason my Mom needed the napkin. Really we needed bibs! All in all, it was fun and I would absolutely go back! And I'd love to see The Greatest Showman again. read more

This theater needs a major overhaul. For a large theater, in the rich part of town, with 20 screens (including IMAX and Dolby), this theater is piss poor. The theaters are hot and humid, and they smell like it too. I've been in screenings when the theater smelled like urine. The staff do not keep the facilities very clean. The food is expensive for being very bland, and the kitchen staff don't always wash their hands after using the bathroom. Trust me, I've seen it happen. Also, there are still several theaters without reclining seats that are tiny. Don't trust the reserved seating. This doesn't guarantee nice chairs. Overall, you can tell that this location is not well managed. For being such a nice facility, it feels like the staff treat it like a dollar theater on the verge of closing. Hopefully something will change, but it's been this way for a long time. read more
