The seats at this theater are super comfortable. I love that you can lean back. We ordered our tickets online and didn't get anything to eat so we didn't have to wait in any lines. Bathrooms were clean and staff seemed friendly. The size of the theater we were in was huge but the seats made me feel like I wasn't watching the movie in a huge theater. Just went back to this theatre after about 1.5 years and boy did it get a face lift! The outside seems quaint but the theatre has 12 theatres and an IMAX screen. This AMC got the special privilege of updated recliner seats as well as bad serving enhanced food and drink options. Fountain soda and slushee machines, fancy walls and new carpet. The theatre was super clear on a Sunday afternoon. Very impressive. Bathrooms also were very clean, service was nice, ticket pick up booths for Fandango users were easily labeled. With the cost of going out to the movies you'd think customer service would could be a priority. Purchase ticket on Fandango almost 25$ for two adult tickets. Got to the theater and no one greeting and scanning tickets. One guy behind the ticket counter. Waited in line so he could scan the qr code on phone. Walked up to the snack bar. One younlady behind the snack bar making hotdogs and chicken fingers she had zero help. Three people ahead of us in line and people in the special VIP line. Eventually a young man came up but he was very little help. Another 23$ for popcorn and two drinks. After the movie I wanted to refill my ICEE but they had the machine in defrost mode and couldn't. Not the first time machines have been turned off while people are still in watching movies. Next weekend it looks like a 5$ rental on Google and pop secret at home. read more

I clearly haven't been here in awhile because I was pleasantly surprised by recliner seats and yummy menu items. Food wise, the popcorn and pretzel bites were fresh and hot. The order size for the pretzel bites was generous and simarly priced to what I might see as an appetizer at a restaurant. I was a little surprised at the size of the small drink- I must be used to smalls meaning 32oz at a movie theater, but the small here was your standard 20oz. Wow! Really like the complete 360 make over.... seats are a extremely comfortable they adjustments in my opinion are better than most because they recline to a much more comfortable position. Theaters are super clean as is expected with a brand new upgrade. Im hoping the staff works hard to keep this theater together. A year later and the availability of items at the concession stand still sucks. Went on a Tuesday afternoon, so theater wasn't busy. There was a sign up indicating they were out of nacho cheese due to a busy weekend. So I decided on chicken tenders...they were out of those. So I then moved on to flat bread chicken pizza. Couldn't get that either. Finally just went with popcorn and a drink. Popcorn was cold as if it was never under a heat lamp. One of two butter spouts actually had butter. To top it off, the theater was freezing. I'll stick with the Castleton location with its comfortable temperature settings and stocked concession stand. read more

Worked for me! 8:00 p.m. showing for 5 bucks on Tuesday $5.00 night. Comfortable recliners, tickets purchased in advance on my phone, no lines, no transactions at all. App seems user friendly just downloaded today and can earn credits for concessions and movies it seems. I never thought I'd do a review on a movie theater but here it goes. For decades, when you watch a movie, you want an experience that is immersive, you want your attention to just the movie itself, hence the kind request to patrons not use the one's personal phone or any other visual/auditory distractions. We've been in this theater before and we have been immersed on the movies we've seen. Other than the movie's storyline or it's visual spectacle, the engulfing surround sound and the bass, the sharp contrast of the screen itself, all can affect one's experience, whether it enhances or diminishes it. But not tonight, we watched Beauty and the Beast on theater #4 for an IMAX experience, and for +2hrs, the ceiling lights were on the whole time. Not only that, the audio was so flat (lacking in bass and weak surround sound). I left the theater very distracted. I spoke to the manager Kelly, who verified my suspicions. The lights not being turned off now is for safety and security. What?? I asked her about the audio experience too, she said that they have the ability to enable the theater surround sound but it's dependent on the movie studio preference. Really??? For an IMAX experience and the price that you paid? You don't get the full surround capabilities? And as for the lights, for decades, it has been to where the ceiling lights were totally off so your attention is fully on the screen. Ambient lights are there for safety on the walkways and stairs. But because of lawsuits (Jones v AMC Bay Plaza Cinema 13) from people (as a species, we have gotten so weaker that we can't adapt to a structured environment, don't take accountability, sense of entitlement, ect), the companies now have to cater to such ridiculousness since it's business. read more

This is our go-to theater when possible. We love the remodel with the new recliners which are so comfy. We typically buy our tickets on-line and just show the greeter the bar-code on our phone. It's much faster than waiting in line. The concessions move relatively quick if the person ordering doesn't daley. There's an AMC Stubs Premiere line which moves quickly. Theaters and seats are clean and comfy. Plus we haven't had audio issues as we've had on occasion at some other theaters. The only cleanliness issue I have is the hand-rails on the steps. I try to not touch but occasionally have little choice. Overall, we're very happy with Traders Point AMC Theater. read more

We've been going to this location the last few weeks because the Coke app gave us free large drinks. We are usually at Regal because we have Movie Passes and get points at Regal, while AMC treats poorly when they see your MP card. I do like this location as the kiosks so we can get our own tickets so no issues! This theater was re-done recently and it is very clean. We had stopped coming here when it started to feel run down, but they have new recliner leather seats which are very comfortable and spacious. It is smart to buy your tickets online if you can or come early. If you have the Stubbs card it waives the fees for online tickets. With MP we have to buy same day at the theater, so we just make sure to go early. But even popular movies can sell out early. Although we can't get points we already had the Stubbs card. This gets you into shorter ticket lines and also a special concessions line. Our last 3 movies we had great service and both the ticket booth and also from the concessions staff. Parking can be packed, but they do have a huge side lot. Come early and get a drink in the bar! I didn't see it open at our early showing, but the next weekend later afternoon it was open both times. read more

I've been going to this theater over 10yrs now, and I have always loved this theater which I still do. I remember Trader's Point AMC started to renovate back late 2015-2016. When, the renovation was completed I believe everyone was happy with the results from very comfortable seats that actually lean back, you can order alchohol, better food items, and you can be apart of the AMC Stubs Membership which is what I'm apart of. When, you're a part of the AMC Stubs Membership your online fee is wavied, score so many points you'll get discounts on snacks, $5 rewards. Etc. Also, with the renovated Trader's Point AMC you'll have assigned seats when you make your pay. I recently saw Creed II yesterday(11/24) the morning show at 11:50. AMC theaters are also improving from their food items, Stub Membership. Etc. I forgot to mention that when you get your tickets at Trader's Point AMC there are kiosks which is faster, & easy to use. One, last thing they don't bring the food to you like SMG(Studio Movie Grill)you'll have to get that yourself, and as far as alcohol been in your movie theater with you, or just drinking it at the bar. I think you have to drink the alcohol at the bar only since I haven't seen anyone as of yet to bring alcohol with them to see a movie. read more

As we live close to Studio Movie Grill we've been going there for the past few years. However, after watching the movie "Overcomer" today with my Sunday School class, I'll definitely be back to AMC Traders Point! The staff was Uber friendly, the restrooms were much cleaner than our "regular" theater, and best of all, the oversized recliner chairs were so comfortable I almost fell asleep! My new favorite place to go to watch movies! First off the recliner seats are amazing. Feels like I am at home watching the movie. The seating is more intimate and good for dates. If you cant tell, I'm all about a good atmosphere and this place has it. OH, I cant forget they have a Hot Chettos and Cheddar Cheese Popcorn mix!!!!! Only real knock on this place is the drink prices at the bar are a little steep. Other than that, this is a great movie theater especially if you are a huge movie buff like myself. read more

I absolutely love this theater. My husband and I usually only come here a few times a year but with so many movies coming out, we've already been here twice since January 1st! We usually go during a matinee which is cheaper (major plus) but can be either crowded or empty depending on the movie you're seeing. Now that this theater has the reclining seats, I've found that I don't even mind sitting in the front section anymore. I used to have issues looking up that high since I'm pretty short but now I can just recline my seat far enough back to see the movie comfortably and not strain my neck. Plus, there's just enough space between you and the person sitting next to you that you don't feel like you're right on top of strangers. I will also say that the Stubs program really helps our experience. I recently upgraded to the Premiere program when they had it on sale for $9.95 and it has already paid for itself just in the birthday rewards. (Free large popcorn and free large drink meant that my husband and I had a movie date for less than $15 total.) The other benefits of being able to order tickets online without being charged a convenience fee, free popcorn upgrade (pay for a medium, get a large), the separate Premiere snack line saves a ton of time, and much more. If you're someone that sees movies frequently (or even a few times a year), I would highly recommend it. read more

This was actually my first time back since they had the bedbug outbreak a few years back. I have to say I like what they have done with the place. Its really nice. The seating is nice and they recline as well! The upgrades are great. Now for the bad.....my main issue is the pricing. Everything is Sky high in this place. Im not sure if its because of the upgrades or what, but their use to be specials for coming in during the middle if the week. The movies were like 5-6 bucks if you came during those times. Nope not anymore. Movie was 22 bucks for 2 people. We ordered nachos and cheese with a drink, a small popcorn with a drink...another 30 DOLLARS! Seriously? For the smallest things on the menu? Needless to say I was not happy about the pricing at all. So much unhappy Ive started to do my research to see if this is the new trend and prices for movie outings. Overall Place and upgrades are great, but 50 bucks to watch a movie and food is enough to have me wait to catch the movie on my smart tv.... read more

I LOVE this theatre. The upgrades they've made are truly amazing. I love the reclining seats they have. The only downfall to the new seating is that there is less space so sell outs happen more often and quickly. This theater does not have enough showtimes later in the evening. Also the last 3 showings I've been to the theater is HOT, turn on the a/c! Also, why have an IMAX theater and no reclining seats? The new reclining seats at AMC are so nice! It was definitely a luxury feeling. The only weird thing is that they take up so much space, which limits the # of people in the theater. We have been to this theatre a few times now. I feel I can give a pretty good review. Pro: the seats are hands down the best. We have been to several different theatres in the Indy area and these are the best. Con: while the seats recline and the middle armrest pulls up some couples feel this is a time to get romantic. The couple next to my daughter were getting so romantic I found myself worrying about how romantic they were getting and when I was going to have to break up their party. Pro: Theatre itself. The theatre sound in here is great. Full on surround sound. Cleanliness, close restrooms, variety of snacks. Con: price of snacks yes they are always expensive but seemed a bit more pricey here. The assigned seating almost makes you buy your tickets ahead of time. No more seeing movies on the fly because all the good seats are gone. We had at least 25 minutes of previews not sure if that is a new thing but that seemed like a ton. All in all if I am seeing a movie it is AMC. If it is dinner and a movie it is Flix Brewhouse. read more

Went on Saturday for Bad boys and arrived 5 til one. I waited in line for 35 minutes to be told they where out of food items. Two girls where behind making food and their hair was not tied up. one girl continued to braid her hair while waiting on people and was touching food! It's not one of the cleaner AMC theaters but it's AMC, and once you are seating in the recliners and you listen to the great sounds you can pretty much look past all the other things. Unfortunately that was not the case at the 11:00 pm showing on 12/18. During the previews I have noticed that they play the sound low before the main show and that's fine. I come to expect that. Imagine my surprise when the sound remained the same. Can you imagine watching Spider Man - No Way Home, like mono . It was terrible. My husband and I were very disappointed and I don't know if I will ever go to that theater again. read more

Quick review: went for midday showing of Black Panther. I had used fandango to buy tickets so check in was quick and easy and skipped the line. Concessions were light so that was easy, they even looked up my AMC Stubz account for me. Only problem is that the large popcorn I ordered turned out to be not even warm. I went to the iMax 3d, note to self don't ever go early enough when all the lights are on to see how gross the seats look . Also no recliners in imax. read more

The closest theater in the vicinity to my hometown. Back in town for a bit and saw the 7:15pm showing of Aquaman tonight with my brother and his friend, great movie! However, this review is different. I came into contact with a beautiful blonde woman whom I caught eyes with on multiple occasions throughout the night and she sat in front of us with her friend. She seemed like a very amazing woman whom I would enjoy to get to know better! I would've gave her my number while she was drawing in her little notepad waiting for the movie to start but I could not summon the courage and I will continue to live my life with regret. The chairs here are nice, but that's the best thing I have to say lol. The concession stand seemed even more expensive than other movie theaters, which is crazy! The movie also did not fit on the screen. The top and bottom of the movie were cut off the entire time. It looks pretty terrible. Also, and I know this isn't the theater's fault, but some kids were just hanging around inside sneaking into movies. They caused other people to be in our seats when we first walked into the theater and had everyone confused. I also saw them waiting to sneak into another movie when the one we saw was over. I love the movies! I love the smell and sound of popping popcorn and the anticipation of two hours of my mind a million miles away. But let's talk this AMC SPECIFICALLY! I am mad crazy over these reclining chairs and the create your own soda fountain! But that's where it ends. The lines to purchase make no sense, it's anarchy! I literally get heart palpitations it's so stressful. No one knows where to go! Or when! Then there's the staff- disinterested, sloth-like, no urgency to serve others, mumbling and half asleep. There are typically two working the concession stand and about 14 people in line. There's popcorn, straw wrappers and trash strewn about all over the floors. The theaters aren't cleaned- I always find st least a candy wrapper in my cup holder when I sit down. The bathroom trash cans are overflowing! To be honest the other theatre just around the corner is worse ( their popcorn is yuck and served in dumb square bowls!) but man I sure would like a relaxing tasty clean place to escape to the movies! This place is going down hill at WARP SPEED! 6 months ago it would have gotten 4-5 stars....at this point three is generous! read more

A nice and clean movie theater with comfortable reclining seats and great sound and picture as well as one IMAX Screen (oddly IMAX has traditional non-reclining seats). My one complaint is that excluding Friday and Saturday, and some Thursdays, the last showing is around 7:00-7:30 which makes it difficult for me to ever catch a movie during the week when it's less packed. read more
