Celebrating a birthday, we arrived earlier than our reservation, but the host graciously found us a table. Additionally, this same young man was just as attentive to us as our server Kirsten. The oysters Rockefeller were great! The chargrilled oysters were just as flavorful, but a little smaller. I ordered the seafood grits with a Cajun seasoning that were so so good. The portions are very good and worth the price. Tipsy Mermaid is a nice spot to meet up with friends, to enjoy outdoor seating or a small bar table or a booth. Check out this Zionsville gem!!

Tried the Happy hour for the first time today and I truly loved every second of it! The happy hour menu is good for all of Tuesday and there's some pretty good options on there. My friend and I got the crispy chicken sliders and the Cuban cigars from the menu. We also got the lobster and shrimp dip which was not part of the HH menu but my fave dish from the evening. The drink variety is also great! All around the service was fabulous. We sat at the bar and it seemed like a lot of regulars were coming in which made for a nice ambiance. Pretty casual and it's nice to find a space that gives coastal vibes all around. I would love to return to try their full menu and some other cocktails!

Came back to try dinner menu! Same amazing service and food!! I had Surf and turf taco amd They were pretty good. The salt and vinegar fried were delicious! We tried the seafood dip, it was very cheese and I wanted spice. I had the house hot sauce and it was just the kick I needed! Can I buy that?!! It's so good! Slide me the recipe :) They only thing we didn't care for were the chicken wings. I would suggest asking for these to be fried hard. They are grilled then fried but was pretty slimy. They have is half off so no Worries. It's a place that I will continue to visit because I want to explore the menu !

So I'll start with the pluses first. The ambiance is very modern, hip and fun. I totally liked the vibe! The service was also really great! Super friendly and attentive. The Food and drinks is where I was a bit underwhelmed. The alcoholic beverages we order seemed really really sweet. That says something because I'm from Hawaii and I know sweet drinks lol We didn't get to order past the lobster and shrimp dip appetizer because when we got their appetizer it was REALLY salty. Typically that's how I see if I'm going to order more food if the appetizer is good. But as mentioned if was really salty and maybe had 1 pc of tiny lobster. lol so we decided to leave. Not sure if I'll come back because I was only in town visiting family.

Firstly. This place is so cute! Indoors and out. It was a bit chilly so we sat inside but even with the brisk weather there is an upbeat vacation vibe inside. The food was amazing! I had the old man and the steak which were all wonderful and the veggies were absolutely tasty. The sauce for the onion rings? I'd put that on anything! My friend has steak and fries the other had Mahi Mahi... they all looked amazing and My sister had the seafood and grits! Baby! Just get it! You're welcome! Our server was delightful. The manager came and checked on us a couple of times. And it was greatly appreciated. I will definitely come back for the seafood and grits and the vibes. Oh and check out their happy hour!

Loved everything! On a gorgeous Saturday evening we needed food after a long drive and found this bustling, pretty and really nice restaurant. After roadside food for 10 hours we wanted really good food. And cocktails. Really good cocktails. All were provided. We sat at the bar as we are wont to do - love chatting with the bartenders and Sydney was the best! Chose mojitos and some Brazilian drink I can't spell let alone pronounce... sounds like Ky-puh-DEE-nyuh? They were de-lucious! Then my Poppin' Bubbles paparadelle with lobster and shrimp and his Coconut Crusted mahi mahi with tropical salsa. Plates went back very clean. Followed by key lime pie that could have been a little more tart but still very good. We were very glad to have taken the extra 10 minutes after a long day driving to get to this Key West inspired gem.

Tipsy Mermaid never disappoints whether for dine in or carryout. We enjoyed our first visit when we dined at the bar and have also enjoyed our pick up/carryout orders since. What initially drew us to this restaurant was discovering they offer conch chowder. My husband was elated to learn he could enjoy his favorite soup locally, not only when we go on vacation to south Florida. We've found the menu items and cocktails we've tried to be consistently delicious and would definitely recommend Tipsy Mermaid to foodies who enjoy a Florida Keys experience right here in the Hoosier state!

Got to the restaurant on Saturday right at 4pm as they opened and there were already people lining up. (If you know you are going I recommend making a reservation on open table!) I understand why, the service was great and the food/drinks even better. The place is decorated in a cute costal, key west theme with a menu to match. It was a sunny day which made it feel as though I was on vacation. We sat at a high top table that was inside but next to huge sliding doors (sunshine and AC, best of both worlds). Drinks: - Frenchie on a Longboard - the favorite! even if you are usually iffy on gin give it a try - Papa's Perfect storm - their take on a Dark & Stormy - Hurricane Hole - good choice for those who like sweet Meals: - Start with the Marky Mark! Loved the horseradish sauce and balsamic glaze. - Medianoche sliders - fun take on a traditional Cuban. Fries on the side are a MUST. Crispy, thin, and salty. - Bahama Mama Chicken - now this is a MEAL! Chicken kabobs are tender and covered in a flavorful jerk-style BBQ sauce. The roasted maduros (Latin/Caribbean caramelized plantans) were a great sweet addition. - A Moveable Feast - flavorful pork, mango and pineapple salsa makes it very sweet. Happy with all of our choices! Love that this is far from an ordinary place.

The Tipsy Mermaid is one of my favorite restaurants in Zionsville. The Key West theme makes me feel like I'm on vacation, even in the throws of winter. On Tuesday nights, they host "Tipsy Tuesday". Signature cocktails are half price and beer is $5. Wine bottles are 1/2 price. A selection of great appetizers are only $10 during Happy Hour (4:00-5:00) This is where you'll find me on Tuesday nights. And it's one of Zionsville's best kept secrets. This week. I had my usual, a Hot Tin 'Tini, a spicy martini concoction. I love the Medianoche Sliders, which are like miniature Cuban sandwiches. The sliders come with a tasty side of rice and beans. The food is good! I recommend the shrimp tacos and the shrimp and grits entrees. I love coming on Tuesday nights to catch up with my girlfriends. We try different cocktails and laugh. The service is always spectacular, friendly, attentive and fun. The servers wear shorts (even when it's zero degrees outside). I encourage reservations. Parking can be a challenge, so I go early.

I love, love, love Tipsy Mermaid for brunch. This is by far the best brunch place in Indianapolis. The service is always impeccable and on point. The ambiance is beautiful and gives Key West vibes since it is Ernest Hemingway theme restaurant. The entrees are wonderful and cocktails are fabulous! The wild berry Mimosa is heaven in a glass. The shrimp and grits are my favorite brunch entree ,along with the key Lime Cinnamon Roll as an appetizer. You can never go wrong with any dish at Tipsy Mermaid because it is always terrific and does not disappoint at all. It is simply marvelous!

We had been wanting to try the Tipsy Mermaid and had heard great things about it. It did not disappoint. Parking was readily available on the street and also a few steps away in the parking lot. We had a 4:30 reservation for Friday evening and were able to get seated right away. When you go into the restaurant you immediately get a beach vibe that was quite nice. Our server took drink orders right away and was helpful in advising about menu items. It was a tough choice as they had a whole page of tropical cocktails. I decided to get a coconut lime margarita that was tasty and large. Our appetizer was the conch and shrimp fritters that were delicious. I ordered the medianoche sliders as my meal. It came with a side of fries that were thin and crispy-yum. I chose the Cubano sliders. They have three on the plate but one was quite ample for the meal. I'm anxious to go back soon and try something new as they had several choices that looked very delicious.

You just gotta love the food and drinks here. I have to admit that I am not a seafood enthusiast. I do eat a few things likes shrimp, whitefish and such, but am generally very picky about it. What I am trying to say, that even people like me can find a lot of items on the menu to enjoy. I especially love their brunch items. Really for the amount and quality of food that you get here the prices are very reasonable. And the drinks... yummy and potent. Most day the service is outstanding, but we are all human. I would say, check it out for sure.

One of my favorite restaurants! You can't beat the vibe of Key West when you enter the building and translates into the menu as well. Never had anything that we didn't like. They have it all from a wonderful cocktail menu to a variety of delicious meals and desserts as well.

I paused to look at their outdoor menu they had set up and checked out their desserts. Lo and behold they had chocolate mousse, my husband's fave! Since it also happened to be his birthday, we made a plan to come back after our dinner reservation at another restaurant. We stuck to that plan at around 8 PM, before they're closing at 9 PM. We walked in to a charming, lovely and cozy atmosphere. It had just rained so the ambience was perfect. We sat down right away and was greeted by Justin, who was outstanding as our server. My husband ordered the chocolate mousse, and I took a chance on the Pavlova, which I had seen many times before on the great British bake off. I had always wanted to try it. We also ordered decaf French press, coffee, and it was also delicious. The desserts both came with Chantilly cream made in house and it was impeccable. We. We both loved our desserts. The Pavlova was a light meringue with lemon curd inside garnished with fresh berries. I was worried that it would be sweet too sweet, but it was not. The chocolate mousse was thick and chocolatey and the ratio of Chantilly cream was perfect. Now that we've come here for breakfast and dessert, we must come back for dinner. Again, Justin, our server was just lovely and personable and made the evening even more memorable.

The rotating cocktail menu featured a "Gin on the Barb." Local gin mixed with a rhubarb liqueur and mint was a tasty yet dangerous beverage for an 83 degree day. If you have a chance to try the Oeufs Mimosa (deviled eggs) do not miss the opportunity though the charcuterie is an experience as well. For dinner I suggest trying the beef bourguignon. It will change your life. It's not necessarily simple but it done very very well.
