The Pub at Anson OMG, this was SO good. We came here once before and weren't impressed with the burger, but decided to give it another shot... and I'm so glad we did. This time we went full comfort food mode and WOW. The wings were crispy and flavorful, the chili dog with tots was pure cozy goodness, and everything just hit. We also ordered the meatloaf (Monday special, not pictured) and it was absolutely worth it...classic, hearty, and comforting. This Pub in Whitestown is a popular neighborhood bar. Our server, Emily, was busy with the lunch crowd. She was friendly, attentive, and kept our glasses filled. Food came out quickly. The menu has a limited selection of burgers, sandwiches, soup and salads. I had a bowl of Betsy's Chili. The chili is hearty with lots of beef and a tad spicy. I love the chili. My husband had the Pub Burger, which comes as a double patty. Cheese was melted into the patties. The pretzel bun is perfect. The lettuce, tomato and pickles are fresh. It was a good burger. The fries are ok. Should have got the tots, which are a house favorite. They have drink specials listed on a board. Jell-O shots were the daily special. I did not try. I first visited shortly after opening. Wasn't too impressed but gave another go tonight now that they've been open for quite some time and really liked the food!!! Friend and I split nachos and the dog and left very full and content. Reasonably priced and definitely get your moneys worth. Service was great. We sat at the bar so had "direct access" to employees. I want to start by saying the servers were excellent and really great. They were the only reason for giving any stars. Outside of that, everything else was trash, especially the nachos. The most bland tasting meat I've ever had in my life. Literally no flavor in these nachos until you get to the liquid cheese at the bottom of the plate making the tortilla chips soggy while you make your way to the bottom. They absolutely do not care about veterans. Even worse veterans that are disabled. They have 1 bartender that if they do not agree with your service they will cut you off with 1 drink regardless of your dinner options. I paid my tab, left my food. So excited to have a pub in Whitestown again! Anyone remember DJ's??? Came here late on a Sunday night with my wife for a drink and some snacks. Like another Yelper, we thought the place was closed because of the blackout windows. I drove by again (since we checked hours) and Holly could see a TV on in the background - so we went in! First - the place smelled clean and everything is pretty much new, including plenty of TVs to watch a bit of Sunday Night Football. They have a decent liquor selection and some nice beers on tap, including from Metazoa. The bartender/server was great! Super quick, responsive, and friendly. Granted, only a couple other patrons at 9 o'clock on a Sunday. We ordered scotch eggs and some chips (fries). Holly got a vodka and I had the IPA from Metazoa. Beer was ice cold and delicious! After the IPA, I tried a milkshake stout from Rochester Mills (MI). Ordered the peanut butter cup - it was very good. I could only drink one, but they are having the 12 stouts of Christmas, so I might have to come back Food - probably a 3/5. I was expecting scotch eggs like Macnivens and the sausage batter around the egg just wasn't enough; needs to be 1/4 inch thick and this was like 1/16th. Chips tasted twice fried, which I like, but Holly "likes to taste the potato", so had to mark them down. May need to come here earlier and get a sandwich or a burger. The place had several more people filter after us since nothing else is open late in the area. I really hope this place does well, so we get to keep a pub in Whitestown. Very good Oklahoma style onion burgers. I had the southwest with chips it was very juicy and had a great char on it. The bun almost stole the show I'd guess it's a potato bun? But it's super soft and soaked in all the flavor from the burger and held together. Staff was great and attentive. This is a hidden gem in the area. read more

Been living in Zionsville my entire life. Came back from school for thanksgiving break and was looking for a cool lowkey bar spot to hangout with some friends. My friend suggested we go to The Pub. We are mid-early 20s so anything that's open past 2am is always a plus. We arrive at the parking lot and we see that the bar looks closed. From word of mouth we heard the hours are wonky and they could be closed. Maybe the website hours are off. As we are about to walk back to the car one of us notices that there is a TV on but we could hardly tell with the blacked out windows. We try our luck at the door. What do you know? The door was open and an empty local watering hole ready to quench anyones thirst. Great service, amazing food, and reasonable prices. Very clean for a bar too. Way better than Rush on Main or the Friendly Tavern. Definitely worth a shot if you have nothing to do and are of age. I recommend the Cheese curds...heavenly. read more

Ordered carry-out because we have two small kids and was pretty impressed with our food! Me and my husband both ordered burgers and they were delicious! I ordered the southwest burger, which had some kick to it, but was fantastic! And it's one of the only places in Whitestown to get a delicious burger. The fries and Mac and Cheese weren't anything special. The real star of the show was the fried pickles and habanero ranch! THEY WERE SO GOOD!! Fried pickles are my go to app and these were some of the best I've ever had. Would definitely order these every time we go there. Overall good food, good service! I have had good experiences here. Food is good with good ingredients. The opener is cool AF and attentive. The crowd during the day seems to be people working remotely. The GM seems to be always on hand. I have noticed that the late afternoon/even bartenders are inexperienced and not attentive. If your not a regular they tend to overlook you. I honestly would give this place 0/5 stars if I could. It's a decent place if you are looking for beer. The bartender was incompetent of making a cocktail with gin, honey, and lemon juice. The first one she made me had way too much lemon juice. The guy sitting next to me asked how it was and I responded "it's okay". Then he responded "that means no". I then said "it's okay for what it was. She doesn't have the correct cocktail tools she needs and it isn't her fault". He then told me he was the owner and that I was being rude and his bartender was going to deck me in the face. I have worked in the service industry and would never treat a bartender/server as poorly as he was saying I was. I will not support a local business who's owner threatened me under the influence of alcohol. Other than that, it is an okay place to go if you are just looking for a beer. read more
