I honestly have nothing but good things to say about this theater. Went in to a Dolby theater for the first time and absolutely loved the reclining chairs that also heat up. What a nice perk. Super comfy and enjoyable for the movie, the beer was an added bonus!

    Very comfortable recliners!

Convenient location inside the UTC mall. The recliners were very comfortable and I was surprised to see that there is a button for hot/cold recliner setting! We bought our tickets online so that we can arrive later and skip all the previews. Don't forget to bring your parking ticket because there is a validation machine at the theater!

You can only order food or drinks from the kiosks, so make sure you scan your AMC memberships from your app to get your points! Despite this AMC being located at a pretty popular outdoor mall, we were able to enjoy this theatre as if it were just us and a few others. As most AMCs, you can get tickets online in advance or just use the self-serve kiosks at the front. I like that there's multiple of them so it's easy to grab tickets without needing to wait in any lines. $9+ for a regular popcorn a la carte, with the large popcorn being $10+. I like that the food pickup counter is large enough to get supplies like boxes or soda lids on each side. The staff was very efficient and we got our popcorn very quickly. I enjoyed the recliner chairs!!! (A must) Super grateful for them and the heated feature worked very well also.

Food is made to order, decent deals. Only downside is everything is touch screen to select what you want. It's difficult to apply promotions and activating rewards without getting the help from the employees. There is only one that checks you in, and a single person making the orders, not taking them. Other than that the theatre is clean, seats are spacious and comfortable.

    Dolby theater AWESOME!

WOW!!! Theater totally revamped...NEW RECLINING SEATS! Super comfortable, BEST in the area. I used to frequent Cinepolis Del Mar but they've been having years of problems with their seats from mechanical, lopsided, & ripped leather, with management saying it's been difficult to get parts, I'm taking my business here and telling everyone about it! Buy your tickets online or at the kiosk when you enter. Few employees as they're mostly self serve now, from buying tickets to ordering food on screens, but the few employees that were there were all super friendly and nice. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked, food seemed fresh, fresher than most AMC theaters, convenient to park BUT validation only adds one hour. Miss the old Arclight extra 2 hours for parking. Got charged $3 for parking since F1 movie is over 2.5 hrs long (don't forget to add about 30 minutes for previews, and the time it takes to park). Since most movies aren't this long, 3 hrs is usually enough for a single movie. Loved their DOLBY Theater!!! Excellent sound system that rumbles beautifully. Seats don't recline flat but enough to be comfortable and plushy. Enjoy!

Located inside the UTC mall, this is a nicely remodeled theater that's kept very clean. We purchased our tickets in advance and had an easy, smooth check-in. The recliner seats are comfortable and make the movie experience even better.

We were here for a movie preview a few months back. This movie theatre is outdated and small. They provide the usual overpriced snacks, popcorns, candies, soda etc. The bathroom is outdated as well and small. Staff service was just okay.

This one is long overdue--not that they need my review, because by now everyone already knows how amazing this place is. What keeps me coming back is the combination of great music, an energetic vibe, outstanding service, and some of the most creative cocktails you'll find anywhere. Tonight was girls' night out, so we decided to order the prettier, and sweeter cocktails. But don't let the sweet flavors fool you--they are definitely generous with the alcohol. These drinks may taste dangerously easy to sip, but they pack a punch! I don't even remember the names of the cocktails we ordered, but honestly, that doesn't matter because the menu changes so often. And that's one of the things I love most about Music Bar. Every visit brings something new, fresh, and exciting to try. Both of my drinks were absolutely delicious, with the perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors. I honestly don't know how the bartenders come up with these combinations, but kudos to the team for constantly pushing their creativity while still making every cocktail incredibly well balanced. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a regular, Music Bar never disappoints. I'll definitely keep coming back to see what new creations they come up with next. Cheers to one of my favorite cocktail spots in San Diego!

Overall, I'd personally rate my experience about 3 1/2, the overall meal was solid and my friend really enjoyed her entrée! We started with the hummus and pita, and I can absolutely see why it's so highly rated. The hummus was smooth, flavorful, and well-seasoned, but the real standout was the pita bread. It was incredibly fluffy, warm, garlicky, and easily my favorite thing we ordered. I'd happily come back just for that appetizer. For my entrée, I ordered the fish and chips after seeing several people recommend it. The fish itself was cooked well with a nice crispy coating, and the fries were perfectly fine--nothing wrong with them, but nothing particularly memorable either. My only real complaint was the tartar sauce, which I found much sweeter than I prefer. It just wasn't the flavor profile I was expecting. Overall, it was a decent fish and chips plate, but it didn't really wow me. My friend ordered the lamb dinner (not pictured) and thought it was excellent. I trust her judgment, and it definitely seemed like one of the stronger dishes on the menu. We finished by sharing the chocolate dessert since the only other option was a lemon dessert, which neither of us was in the mood for. It was interesting because it was much more mousse-like than traditional cake. Honestly, I'm still not sure whether to call it a cake or a cheesecake, but either way it was rich, smooth, and delicious. My favorite part was the chocolate graham cracker crust, which really brought the whole dessert together. The restaurant itself had a relaxed atmosphere, and service was friendly throughout our visit. While my entrée wasn't a standout, the appetizer, dessert, and my friend's excellent meal made for an enjoyable lunch overall. I'd definitely come back, though next time I'd be more inclined to try one of the other entrées instead of the fish and chips.

General California Gift Card Rules No Expiration: Most gift cards sold in California cannot have an expiration date and remain valid until they are redeemed or replaced. Cash Redemption: If the balance on a gift card is less than $10, California law requires the merchant to redeem it for cash upon request. (Note: This threshold is set to increase to $15 on April 1, 2026). Liability of Previous Owner: If a new owner is not legally obligated to honor your card, your legal claim is technically against the previous owner who originally took your money. Next Steps for Consumers Ask the New Owner: Many new owners will honor old gift cards as a gesture of goodwill to retain local customers and protect the brand's reputation. Verify the Business Entity: You can check the California Secretary of State's business search to see if the legal entity behind the restaurant name has changed. Contact the Previous Owner: If the current management refuses the card, you may need to seek a refund from the individual or company that originally sold it to you. I did customer relations for a bank, a chain of appliance stores, USPS, just take my fee, out of the gift card. Update Asset vs. Stock Sale: If it is an "asset purchase" (buying equipment/name, not the corporate entity), the buyer typically inherits no liabilities unless agreed upon. Gift Cards: The new owner is not legally required to honor old gift cards unless they agreed to, or they are deemed a "continuation" of the old business, according to a discussion on Facebook. Successor Liability: California courts might impose liability if the new company is just a sham to avoid debt. Best Practice: The buyer should request a list of outstanding gift cards and demand the seller transfer cash to cover them to prevent loss of goodwill. Inside, there's a mix of tables and bar seating, and they serve food in addition to having an extensive cocktail menu. The drink menu was definitely the highlight for me. There were so many creative and unique cocktails that really stood out. I'm usually not a huge cocktail person because I don't like overly sweet drinks, and it can be surprisingly difficult to find cocktails that are both original and sophisticated enough to actually sip and enjoy. They definitely nailed that here. I tried several: *Kasato Maru: This was so smooth and absolutely delicious. By far my favorite. You could really pick up the St. Germain elderflower and pear, and the flavors worked beautifully together. Definitely one of my favorites. *Sunomono: This was more liquor-forward, but still incredibly smooth. Definitely a good choice if you want something that lets the spirits shine. *Je Ju: Unfortunately, this one wasn't for me. It had a really unusual flavor that just didn't work with my palate, and my friend wasn't a fan either. I'm usually not one to send a drink back, but the staff was fantastic about it. They happily took it back and made me a completely different cocktail. *Softly Spoken: My friend ordered this one, and it came in a glass filled with small ice cubes. I tried it and thought it was really good, but it wasn't quite my personal preference. It definitely had more of a fruity flavor profile. The food looked absolutely amazing although we didn't eat here this time. There are still so many cocktails on the menu that I want to try so I'll definitely need to come back. The atmosphere is dimly lit, intimate, and full of character. It has that cool, moody feel that makes you want to sit back, sip a cocktail, and stay awhile. And the service was phenomenal from start to finish. Overall, this was such a fun experience. Great atmosphere, creative cocktails, excellent service, and plenty more on the menu I still want to try.
