First off Pacific Beach has difficult parking and they have paid meter parking. If you're like me though, you don't mind walking a quarter mile and driving around for 10 minutes looking for a parking spot. I came here for a Pittsburgh Steelers game, there was a really good crowd. In fact the bar was mostly full. The bartenders were friendly, but they were out of stock on quite a bit of items and it also took 40 minutes to get my french fries. The person next to me said they had to wait 50 minutes for a single order of tater tots. The biggest Takeaway here is if you're coming for drinks, most of the beers were out on draft and a lot of their liquor was out. If you're coming here for food, you're looking at a 35+ minute wait. That being said I've only experienced this on a game day. I personally don't think I will revisit this bar even though I'm a big Steelers fan. But I do think if they figure out the hold up with the kitchen and have their bar a little more stocked up this place could be much more successful and thriving. The bartenders were really trying to hold this place together as best they could. Fortunately, there are a lot of TVs, so there was no missing of any of the gameplay. They also did a raffle with prizes, that was cool. I did not win, but exciting nonetheless. Sidenote, there's also a small bowling alley in the corner. I believe there's two lanes. I don't know much about it, but I know it's there!

We came here after watching some football and even though there was some hiccups at the start, the bowling went smoothly. It's a per hour rate so depending how many you are that can lead into multiple rounds or just 1-2. We didn't have any drinks so can't say much about the bartender but it's definitely a big place. There are only 4 lanes of bowling so I could see it easily filled up.

Johnny V's! I can still see the bones of the predecessor, and those Friday nights of yesteryears will always live on in spirit. But Break Point is a completely revamped space that is bright and modern. It also happens to be a Steelers bar, so the old Bub's Steelers crowd is here nowadays. Great place to catch the Steelers game with a lively crowd and some fun extras. Large projector screen and smaller tv screens from every angle make every seat a great spot to view the game. You can purchase raffle tickets for multiple prizes at halftime. Free beer at the end if the Steelers win. DJ and photographer on site to rock the party. Food was actually pretty good bar food, but the kitchen and service are pretty inefficient. Everyone was friendly, but the execution seems sloppy. Food arrived cold, and we had to flag down someone for everything - drinks, food, napkins, utensils, plates, free beer at the end. Apparently they've been open for four years, but I would've thought it was a new place working out the kinks. Luckily we were there for a few hours watching the game, so we had time to wait.

    Four bowling lanes!

Had a blast here! Super cool 4 lane bowling alley w great service!!! You can make reservations but we were there at opening and snatched up two lanes. Look forward to visiting again.

BOWLING IN PB (4 stars) Who knew they had bowling lanes? I didn't! Thought this was just a bar all this time. Didn't get a chance to eat or drink but came here to bowl. However, those that ordered food were very pleased and they do give generous portions. The rental shoes are average, the available bowling bowls are ok - could be better quality but they do the job. They have 4 bowling that seem well kept. The lanes are off to the side and they have two big comfortable round booths for those who are bowling. Very convenient to chill and hangout. The rest of the space was very accommodating for your hangout needs. Booths, tables, bar, tv, and the (small) public restrooms. Would like to come back and bowl and next time eat and drink too. Until the next visit....

We were in town to see our grandson and we are so glad we found this Steelers Bar. Great staff and community of Steelers Nations. We will be back!

I heard about this place in PB that's a Buckeyes & Steelers bar. I had to go check it out. I will say they do have both team flags up outside. That's a plus to me The atmosphere is very chill & fun. It's a half bowling spot with 4 lanes, a sports bar & a venue for live music. A ton of tv's where you have no issue of watching your favorite team. A big screen TV over the stage, that would be rad to your favorite teams. Customer service is 100%, they do happy hour 4-7 & all night on Wednesday. The drinks were on point & I satisfied on what I eat. Give them try, trust me you'll be pleased !!!

What a great night! I came in after a long drive, and was greeted by a very friendly bartender named Kelsi, she was on top of it running the bar alone. She made me a fabulous drink with grey goose, called lucky strike. They have games on, like baseball and football and there is an overall fun atmosphere.

John and some ice cold vodka sodas.

You have to be within 7 days of your requested reservation date so as soon as I was closer I set up a reservation through Open Table. I actually ended up calling the Tavern and Bowl to see if they had any earlier reservations and they told me if the person who requested an earlier time didn't pay the deposit I'd get the time slot. I am so lucky because these people didn't pay their deposit and we got the time and the lane. Cute thing, you can actually have kids come too, my niece who is 5 got to come along and they had a little device for her so she can push the ball, she ended up beating me. Everyone was so kind and service was so smooth and efficient, we got to bring donuts for our party and my husband and I ordered the carnitas nachos, they were delicious. Seriously such a great time, obviously this is before the Padres season so we lucked out on parking but this is a great place to host birthday parties. It's located on the SDSU campus, a great place for college students to hang out. There is no food available for sale in the bowling alley, but there is a restaurant next door, and you can go in and out, which is probably why they do it this way. I likely would have purchased something if there was something at the alley, but I didn't and felt like that was lost opportunity for the bowling alley to make more money. It's nice though that the bowling alley isn't a money grab. What I also loved about this place is that they don't have an arcade, which we all know definitely is a money grab that we have to budget for when taking kids to any other bowling establishment. They instead have pool tables, air hockey, ping pong, and a TV that can hook up to your Nintendo switch. She personally reached out, genuinely cared about my feedback, and even let me know that they updated their wine menu. That definitely says a lot about a business. Based on my previous comments, they updated their wine menu and added better options. Obviously, this isn't meant to be a high-end wine bar, but it was nice to come back and see the improvement. The new selections were a much better fit for the atmosphere and experience. I also tried the "No Strings Attached" drink, which was such a fun and unique cocktail. It's made with Champagne poured into a tube, and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't overly sweet. It was refreshing and definitely something different. I also gave the espresso martini a try, but it was a little too sweet for my personal preference. If you're not someone who enjoys sweeter cocktails, I'm sure they'd be happy to adjust it. This is definitely a younger crowd, with most guests appearing to be in their 20s, but it's a really fun and energetic spot. The space itself is beautiful, and there are plenty of activities to keep a group entertained. The complimentary basketball is still one of my favorite things about this place and seems to be a huge hit. They also have shuffleboard, pool tables, and bowling. You can reserve bowling through OpenTable, but keep in mind it is on the pricier side at around $50 per person for an hour. If you're looking for a lively atmosphere, I'd recommend coming on the weekend. If you want something a little more relaxed where you can enjoy the space without as much of a crowd, I'd suggest visiting during the week. Overall, I really appreciate a business that listens to customer feedback and takes action.
