    Chicken Fried Rice
    Jocelyn E.

Highly recommend stopping in if you have a chance! The food is cooked with so much love. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. Amei's does have a grab and go selection, as well as meals that are made to order. There is indoor seating, the staff is very pleasant, and the service was super quick. This is a family owned business that deserves a lot of love. We paid $18 for our two very large dishes, and a soda. It is worth the price, we had plenty of leftovers for another meal which is always awesome. My husband raved about the fried rice! It was so flavorful, full of fresh veggies, and all the green onion was a huge bonus. My Pad Thai was the best I've ever had. Everything was cooked to perfection. As far as ambiance goes, it makes you feel like you're at your grandmas house getting a big, fresh cooked meal. Overall, amazing.

Great food! Very reasonable prices. Service is good. Was a clean establishment. My favorite is the chicken on a stick, love the seasoning.

So wanted to love this restaurant. New to Redding and my daughter and I are huge sushi fans. It's…read moreour favorite food and when we go out to eat it is almost always sushi. Hard to find the front door but once we did we were very pleased with the ambiance. Raw is a lovely space and the bar is large and looks very inviting and like a place tou could feel very comfortable having a cocktail or two. The seating is comfortable and has a relaxed vibe. The sushi was just not great. We ordered several of the special rolls that ranged in price from $22 to $29. They all tasted pretty much the same and every one of them had the same sauce. But the safest part is the tempura shrimp in the rolls tasted like it had been sitting for awhile. And instead of getting that crispy light tempura crust, it was gummy and heavy. The rice was gummy and I am not sure if it was overcooked or perhaps had too much sugar added which madeit overly sweet and congealed. We also ordered a dou le.order of the Hamachi sashimi which was fair but lacked that super rich butter flavor I crave. We were so hoping to find our go to sushi spot while visiting Raw. And I do think they have a place in the restaurant bar world. But their "place" is not for as a high end sushi restaurant. The quality is just not there. And I so wanted it to be. ‍
