Food was good in this family-run shop. But the cleanliness was questionable. There were seven/eight tables in the restaurant, when we walked in there were three open table, but none of them were clean. We happened to sat at the table next to the window. And the lady greeted us, gave us the menu, and wiped our table. But then when I glanced at the window, it was full of noodle splashes. I understand maybe they are understaff since it's a small family business, but it did affect the whole dining experience. I had the boat noodle, broth is rich with good flavor. My husband had pho, he liked it. The lemon pepper wings were lemony, I wish it would be more peppery. I thought it would be the dry lemon pepper seasoning. We came here on a busy Friday and had to wait a little bit for a table. It was more or less a one-woman show, she sat us, got our drinks and brought food for not only us but everyone in the restaurant. She remembered all the orders without writing them down which was honestly impressive! We did wait a while for drinks as well as for food, but it was worth it! The appetizers were great (the shrimp more than the chicken wings because they were really sweet), and then we got a Shrimp boil :) Fantastic, I would go again! This place is phenomenal! Wow. Tasty, affordable (I admit some dishes are on pricier side), and attentive to great service and care. FOOD: + Beef Pho Soup (4/5) - the broth and taste are amazing. Noodles are great. It comes with limited meat options. Unless I misread the menu, I didn't see an option for tripe and all the various kinds of meat pho soups have. + Kasoy Soup (5/5) - holy cow. A spicier option, with great broth and taste. I would try this again. Thai Tea is amazing here. They give a large amount. We look forward to continuing to visit. This is a pretty good spot. It's family owned and has a unique menu. It felt like a fusion restaurant between the kapoun and kasoy, then the Cajun fries, and the udon special with Parmesan. I'd recommend you try it just for the fun combos. But the food is good. I enjoyed the kasoy. The spring rolls and dipping oil were delicious. The udon was comforting. It isn't free, just like everything these days, but I enjoyed it. The service was very personable, nice people. The restaurant itself is fine, although it feels a little too open. read more

The lady that took our order was incredibly kind and she remembered our order without writing it down! My husband and I both got seafood boils. The portion was big and enough food to feed both of us. In saying that though, the crab was cold. All of the sauce was just butter, and we had ordered the cajun sauce. The shrimp was very rubbery and overdone. The restaurant is in a very clean and located inside a recent built strip mall. Easy access, but the parking lot is kinda silly We beat the lunch rush, which allowed us to have a quiet enjoyable meal with great personal service. On our take home leftovers, our server separated the noodles from the soup to prevent them from getting soggy. We were looking for hot soul satisfying big bowls of Phó and this place didn't disappoint. Lots of amazing options on the menu. I went with a standard beef Phó and it was generous with meatballs and thin cut brisket. My wife chose the poultry. The broth was really good with a star anise and cinnamon aroma that didn't overpower the broth. It was amazing and the servings were generous. We also got an appetizer cream cheese crab wontons. All I can say is, Wow! Two large glasses of Thai ice tea. Which are better than anything Starbucks or Dutch Bros could ever provide. Also, the condiment tray had great options, including fish sauce and thin sliced chili peppers. So I mixed up some quick Thai "Prik Nam Pla", which is my favorite topping for everything Asian. They always remember us, and from what I have observed, they genuinely try to connect with every customer. The service is excellent, the portions are beyond generous, and the food is consistently delicious. I always order the Large Surf & Pho, which comes loaded with shrimp, calamari, imitation crab, fish balls, cilantro, onion, and a shrimp chip that's absolutely addictive. Stopped in on our way through Redding. Half my party was starting to feel a bit under the weather, especially with all the rain, and pho sounded like a good idea. We had the Special, the beef pho, and the chicken pho. All were made well, just what you expect from a pho restaurant. I would have liked a bit more of the fresh bean sprouts and veggies to add but the food was good. Service was a little slow but in the end, very attentive and kind. Find out that May our server owns this family run restaurant and the food they serve was what she grew up eating at home!! My house special noodle soup had a delicious and flavorful light broth with pieces of whole shrimp and pork wonton and beef balls all swimming together in this tasty soup!! My husband enjoyed his chicken fried rice which he devoured with some Siracha sauce! No complaints from him! Man oh man, I was here on a work trip just for the week and I came here twice. They're noodle special is so good! The flavors were just delicious, full of noodles and toppings. Add a little bit of chili oil to your soup, and it's even better! I didn't get to try anything else because I wanted to get this dish again before I left the area. Food is a 5 stars . Was pleasantly surprised with how flavorful and fresh food was. I ordered small Pho, very large portion, delicious only thing missing was the basil. Beans, sprouts, lime and jalapeños were all fresh. Eat all the crab wontons before I remembered to take pic. They were light, good and crispy. Also, order them lime chicken wings. They were also very good, but they did have a sweet glaze on them. I'm not a fan of sweet-and-sour or anything sweet but they were still fresh and delicious. The restaurant has a quite environment and a family friendly atmosphere. Family and women run the business. It's absolutely a must if you are looking for seafood, pho, noodles, and they have great side options. I mean they have french fries !!! That's a big yes from me. We couldn't wait for our second visit to go and see them again. We enjoyed our food and it's super fresh and the quantity of the food is great. One serving was more than enough for my husband and I. First time we visited, we order full bowl sizes and we had leftovers for dinner the following day. The people who work there are so nice and friendly, great conversations and customers service. First let's start with the not so good to get it out of the way. I took 1 star out because the staff in the kitchen are not wearing masks - we're not out of this pandemic yet. It's concerning because this spot in Redding is a convenient place off I-5 which I can only assume is a city where most people who are traveling stop by. I debated calling them out on it - but it was a gray area. Now the good, we ordered the seafood spring roll and I must say it's really good. Definitely very fresh and only prepared when ordered. Huge fan of the thick shrimp - I've been used to very thinly sliced shrimp, and I say I'm more of a fan of the fattier and juicier shrimp. The food is delicious! My family (group of 10) came in and had dinner. We ordered a variety of things and all of them were great. The portion sizes were great and we definitely felt that everything was priced well. The service was great as well which was surprising because sometimes when you have a larger group the service lacks. My dad says he wants to visit when he visits from Hawaii again which is a really big deal because he is an excellent cook and has really high standards. The broth was clear and not greasy and yet very flavorful. It leaves you with lasting memory. The ingredient complementation was well done. I would give a five star just for this dish. The Boat Noodle was alright. I have been searching for a good boat noodle and haven't found a place that does right. Being grown up in Thailand,?eating authentic Thai food, I am hard to please when it comes to Thai food. For drink we had the grass jelly and it was so good, we had to order a second. Very disappointed with the taste of the food. I ordered chicken phk, beef pho, and egg rolls. The pho soup was very salty. The noodles were overcooked that it was breaking apart when I put it in the soup. The beef pho came with 2 small strips of beef and 2 beef balls. I threw half of my soup away because it was not very good. The eggrolls are mediocre at best. If you are looking for authentic Vietnamese soup and egg rolls, look somewhere else. read more
