There was a gentleman managing the entire place, offering us recommendations and thoroughly explaining the vegan options for my father. We quickly decided on two large bowls to go, one with Tofu and the other with Korean BBQ. They were generously packed to the brim with food, and I added a dash of spicy sriracha to mine, creating a perfect blend of flavors. These bowls aren't bad. The Hawaiian Pork Bowl has several dry spots, but I love the grilled pineapple - it's fresh, not canned. No Mac salad came with it, sadly, unclear if that's an omission or an oversight. The Korean BBQ bowl sits on white rice and has a nice side of slaw. The meat is a bit tough. California Chicken Salad, my fave. The salad leaves are fresh, not at all wilted, and there's decent teriyaki chicken and half a ripe avocado on top. Chopped cucumber is refreshing, and the sriracha aioli has some real bite. A pretty pleasant meal overall and a good way to get a few sides of vegetables made properly. This place is the definition of a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. It's literally tucked away in the middle of the highway next to a real estate building. Honestly, I was having second thoughts when I arrived for dinner, because we were literally the only ones parked in the parking lot. However, I was already pretty hungry, so there was no turning back. Inside is small - only a small bench for seating. The menu also looks pretty simple, but I was impressed by the prices (at most only $7-11 a meal). All the menu items sounded fresh and healthy. I was craving something more filling, so I got the teriyaki chicken plate with brown rice (this also came with a salad and cucumber side). Food came out around 5 minutes tops, and I have to say... I really enjoyed this meal. The salad greens were sweet, the teriyaki chicken was cooked perfectly, and the cucumber side tasted so refreshing. All in all, this was a great meal. Would recommend to anyone who's health-conscious but would still like to enjoy an affordable meal. read more

A few weeks ago my daughter was driving to work and she blew her tire. Her very first experience with a tire blowing. She was able to get into the parking lot of this restaurant. They were awesome offered her a beverage and a phone to use since hers wasn't getting service. If the weather permits, the outdoor seating is fantastic but if it's the Redding summer, you'll be miserable. Did you even bother to call ahead? It was 45' outside, so patio eating was out this day. Where should the rest of the patrons sit and eat? Then customers complain abt slow everything. It can be a lose/lose for the restaurant. These super compact restaurants cannot and should not accept large parties with nowhere to put them. I waited way too long to make the drive to Palo Cedro and try this place out. I am happy I finally decided to go. The actual inside area is small and was fairly busy during Saturday at lunch. Outside seating seemed to be a great choice if the weather is nice. My one complaint is the hours. The front cashier/server was really the highlight behind the great food. Very professional and outgoing/friendly and brought me some samples of some other sauces and dressings. The food here totally deserves a five star. The only reason I bumped it down is because they need to figure better inside eating arrangements. As much as I love the long wooden table and would love to own it, it is not conducive to a real dining experience because of shared space. I'm used to living in SE Florida where occasionally you are forced to share tables. But others that love their space do not seem to enjoy sharing theirs. It can be awkward.
