I ordered the Better Burger lettuce wrapped with skinny fries cooked in beef tallow, a gluten-free Rice Krispie treat, and a maple latte, and every single thing was incredible. The flavors were amazing, and you can truly tell they care about the quality of their food. The atmosphere was also the cutest! It was warm, inviting, and such a fun place to sit and enjoy a meal. As someone who is gluten-free, it can be hard to find restaurants where I feel confident eating, but Amelia's had so many delicious options and the staff was so knowledgeable and accommodating. I honestly love this place and what they stand for! Clean eats that are tasty! However, the price tag is very steep. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and it was $18 without a side with the fruit it was about $25. I get that it's a sit down restaurant but wow that's quite a bit for something so small and not filling. They do have a grab and go section if that's more up your ally and I've never gotten anything from there that I don't like! My favorite is the cherry chicken salad- I never thought that those flavors would go good together but the sweet and slightly tart pairs so well! Located within a strip mall, it took a bit to find using Maps because the entrance is under a covered area so the windows were dark but we made it and were glad we did. The vibe is high energy with servers bustling about and the space is open with views of the service area and into the kitchen. The food is fresh and delicious and here are lots of different options. We saddled up to the bar and he had his usually BYOB (build your own breakfast) so I decided to do the same. I got the following: A blueberry pancake that was light and fluffy, with fresh blueberries. A couple of fried eggs Nitrate free bacon that was neither too crisp, nor soggy. I was a little surprised when we walked in and realized you order up front instead of being seated and served. I'm just not used to restaurants set up that way, but honestly it made deciding what to eat a lot quicker (no awkward "hold on, we're still deciding!" moments). My friend suggested this place to try and after looking over the menu, I reluctantly agreed! Places are ridiculous with this lately. $18 for a side of fries and a root beer float, btw. Insane pricing. They told us to find table 35 outside, as that was our table and they deliver the food when ready. My fries looked AMAZING but the taste was just not there. I was so excited to try tallow fries, as well. I'm not sure if I'm just used to seed oil, greasy fatty fries, or if it was something off with the ranch and ketchup, but everything tasted WEIRD. My friend loved the ranch but it was so bland to me. The ketchup was genuinely lacking, as it tasted like a crushed up tomato, no seasonings or anything. Root Beer floats are impossible to mess up, so that was good. My friend got the Caesar salad (she is gonna leave a review so look for hers) and a good percentage of her lettuce was CORE PIECES! So it was like bitter and hard to chew through. I will never eat here again. While I'm impressed, everything seems to be sourced organically and healthy or made in store, it just was not good enough to justify the price. My second visit here, just as great as the first. Came in around 8pm with my girlfriend after doing some shopping and we were starved! Our server, who's name I unfortunately didn't catch, was amazing and attentive of all our requests and needs. Seriously, one of the best servers we've ever encountered. It goes unsaid that the food was amazing, but I want to focus on the environment. Coming at night was such a change in ambiance, I love that they have dim lights. It's so much more comfortable when lighting is natural. We observed a few tables leave during our time and it was apparent that care is put into their resetting routine. Tables wiped thoroughly, silverware placed a specific way and a cute cactus in the middle. Everything clicks together well here. As for the food, we ordered a few new things. Our cocktails were Desert Sunset (left) and Perfect 10. Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of my drink but that isn't on them (I was attempting to step out of my comfort zone). Our appetizer, which I didn't get a picture of, were their pretzels. DELICIOUS, by the way. Better than any pretzel I've ever had, and it tastes even better knowing there's no seed oils. We asked to try it with all 3 options of sauce (caramel, lemon herb cream cheese and horseradish mustard) wow... I'm speechless. That horseradish mustard was so good, I asked for extra to dip my fries in. My girlfriend and I both got the burgers with quinoa patties and loved the texture and creativity behind them. It's great to be accommodated to when it comes to not eating meat. I'm not sure if I mentioned last time, but their water is filtered and I adore that. I got a root beer float for dessert, and again, it was amazing. They have a "Build Your Own Breakfast" plate, but apparently you can't add something as simple as breakfast potatoes. It's very "european portions", so if you're bringing your grandma who eats once a day, this is the spot for you. We also had iced lattes from the coffee bar, and it needed a total descale. The fries, although outstanding thick cut steak fries came with this homemade ketchup that had hints of cinnamon and apple which none of us liked. Sometimes you need good old-fashioned Heinz or hunts store-bought ketchup with a really good order of fries. Had a cocktail which was decent, I forget the name, but it was gin based. Had a virgin bloody Mary, which was overpriced at $11. Also overpriced is some of the grabbing Go items especially a $28 jar of green chili pork stew. Super moist and tender and it comes with steak fries that are fried in beef tallow, and it adds such a depth of flavor I've never known before. For the tomato soup and grilled cheese, we were all surprised that the tomato soup was as good as it was for being a dairy free. I think it still has plenty of flavor and you're not sacrificing anything but also kind of guilt free. All in all this place is great. Definitely happy. We stumbled across it and interested to go for dinner and drinks as they have an extensive wine list and some creative cocktails. When we arrived, there weren't any tables available so we sat at the bar for drinks while we waited for a table and our other friend to arrive. I got the Clean Co. Mocktail and my friend got the Cloud 9. The mocktail was alright, but my friend's drink was good! Once we were sat at a table, we were ready to order some food. I got the wild salmon slider (subbed with a gluten free brioche bun), the lemon garlic broccolini, and the steak fries. The salmon slider was pretty good as well as the fries. Unfortunately though, the broccolini was cold. Not even slightly warm, just cold. It made me wonder if maybe it was supposed to be served that way but then my friend said her carrots were also cold. They were also not very soft and unfortunately just underwhelming. My friend also got the pan seared wild salmon which she said was fine but pretty dry. My other friend got the Amelia's Better Burger + Beef Tallow Skinny Fries which he said were both good. We finished dinner with the flourless chocolate cake ice cream sundae. This was pretty good although it was 3/4 ice cream with just a little bit of cake. What little cake there was, was good, but for $14, the proportions were definitely not worth it. Honestly, since a few of the items that we ordered were pretty underwhelming, we aren't DYING to come back too soon but I definitely do want to give Amelia's another shot because of their menu, catering to gluten free diets, and that they are "organic, scratch made, locally sourced, and seed oil free".
