Daily Dose is a solid breakfast spot! The menu has a lot of options to choose from, and my dad and I got omelettes. My veggie omelette was yummy, and the portion was very generous and it came with 3 sides too. The place has a typical diner vibe - it's a cozy spot that creates a casual and chill breakfast experience. The service was great - the servers were so friendly and helpful. A great and reliable spot for brunch, no complaints!

Stopped by The Daily Dose and had a great experience from start to finish. Service was impressively quick, and our server kept everything running smoothly while staying upbeat and genuinely friendly the whole time. That positive attitude really added to the fun, lively atmosphere inside -- it feels like a place people actually enjoy working at, which makes a difference as a guest. My lady and I got the three egg shooter breakfast with a pancake and a side of biscuits and gravy (carb loading kinda day) couldn't complain one bit! The food was just as good as the vibe. Everything came out fast, fresh, and really flavorful -- one of those meals where everyone at the table is happy with what they ordered. Overall, it's an easy spot to recommend if you want delicious food, efficient service, and a fun place to hang out. We'll definitely be back.

I've been here a couple times before and every-time it ceases to surprise me. The service, food, and vibe is always on point. All the food that my table got was fantastic, and fresh. Their menu has a good twist on regular breakfast items. The waiters are always very friendly and chatty. Overall a good place to have a seat and some coffee. Or if thats not your speed it's a cool place for mimosas and brunch!

First things first outstanding customer service wow!! 5 Star service throughout our entire brunch. No reservation needed, walked in and immediately sat down. Everyone was really nice, attentive and professional. The food was great, I had the steak & potato bowl and cinnamon roll cakes (recommended by the server) still thinking about those pancakes lol. The mimosa flights were also a hit. I can't say enough great things about this place, I'll definitely be back!

Daily Dose: Blue Crab Patty Melt!

While staying in Old Town Scottsdale, we stumbled upon Daily Dose on our first morning looking for a place to grab a bite.... ended up going here EVERY morning of our long weekend! Great selection and delicious food!! I think my favorite item I had was the Power Bowl breakfast! Loaded full of spinach, kale, avocado, egg whites, and grilled tempeh! So yummy and filling. Coming in at a close second was the Blue Crab Patty Melt, oh wow! This was on the lunch menu. Drinks were served perfectly! Bloody Marys, muah! Such a winner of a menu and everything seems super fresh. There are at least a half a dozen or more selections of pancakes, waffles, and French toasts, creative and tempting for sure! And on the other hand there are scads of healthy items all in the menu too... and everything in between. Prices are as expected, not too high, not too low. But because of the quality of food and the terrific service, you just can't go wrong. Casual dining both inside and out. Daily Dose is open for breakfast and lunch only, closing at 2:00pm weekdays and 3:00 weekends. Huge shout-out to our waiter, David, he made our whole experience memorable and extremely pleasant. Made us feel at home and welcomed. Definitely a place to go when in Old Town Scottsdale! Until next time..... CHEERS!!

The quickest way to earn 5 stars is to acknowledge and treat my furbaby with respect. Our waiter here went above and beyond by bringing our pups a piece of bacon as a treat. The dogs were so happy with their treat and we were happy that they were being spoiled as they deserved to be, especially at 12 and almost 16 years of age. As for my human breakfast, I chose the egg and potato plate with a cinnamon roll pancake. It was a great variety of food and everything was tasty. I also appreciated that they added a bit of cheese to my eggs without charging me for it as charging for a pinch of cheese would be ridiculous. The chai tea was perfectly sweet and just the way I like it.

Best Breakfast in Town! We come here quite a bit, and I've already written about their amazing lunch (they have my all-time favorite salad!), but I realized I've never reviewed their breakfast. I wish I'd taken a photo before we were almost finished--I'll add one soon! I had an egg white veggie omelet, which comes with two sides and toast, and it was absolutely delicious. I'm not sure if it's the ingredients or how they prepare it, but it's far from your basic breakfast you could make at home. The staff here really makes the experience even better. Sylvia and Jessica serve at the bar, and no matter how busy they are, they make it a fabulous experience. Honestly, the whole team is top-notch. Highly recommend!

    Cinnamon roll pancakes!!

Once again....Food & Service was Outstanding. The entire staff is so friendly. I love how we see the same faces each visit. Meat omelet is always the favorite for my son & I love the decadent cinnamon roll pancakes; quite the tasty treat. Love this place !!!

I usually come to this spot when everywhere else has hour long waits for brunch. More people should know about this place!!! It's consistently been solid since I moved here a few years ago. They've gone through (what feels like) a couple of renovations over the last few years but it really is a nice spot. I think the food is good, the menu is just ginormous. The plates are all massive, I loved my breakfast nachos. Bloody Mary was OK, I had the bacon one. On this particular occasion my friend did not receive the right meal. It was taken care of with grace and they were so quick to make it right. Overall a good experience.

Nice little spot for breakfast. Food is good, service was excellent and we had a great time. Wife went without me while I work and insisted I had to go the next day. She got one of the Benedicts both days ham then chorizo and I got the hash when I went with her She loved the drinks as well. Got the hibiscus margarita both days Everything was really good, highly recommend

This place is where it's at! They make their sausage, turkey sausage and bacon in house their rosemary crème fraîche that is served with their omelettes is phenomenal. Service is kind and efficient Get a double Bellini, it's worth every penny. The outdoor seating is really nice The bathrooms were clean and didn't have to wait in line. Loved the variety and quality

We had brunch at the daily dose upon arriving in Scottsdale. I had the meat and cheese omelette, and my wife had the Poblano Benny. No complaints, a nice hearty meal. The restaurant was neat and clean and the service was casual, but professional.

Yes, at least they were last week when I went!

This review is for the totality of the experience…read more I made an advance reservation at Alma Scottsdale for a mid-sized group of 7 to celebrate a special occasion. Our party arrived right on time for our reservation, but we were not seated until 15 min later because our table was not ready. It took about an additional 15 min to get tap water for the table (there was not enough provided anyways), and to place our orders too another ~20 min. The food did not arrive until 30 min later. For context, we eventually learned that the restaurant was short staffed and the bartender was also operating as our waiter. When the food finally arrived, there was a mix-up on what was delivered. We had checked with the staff who delivered one of the dishes: we ordered the "wild mushroom" side, but what we received did not look quite like it. We asked clarifying questions x2, but were assured, "no, it is the wild mushroom." Turned out, it was the mushroom empanada that was delivered to our table, which we originally did not order. The management did rectify the situation upon the conclusion of the event when we were paying the bill, but to us, it felt a bit accusatory as if we intentionally wanted to cause a huge fuss about the final total, which was absolutely not the case. The food in general was delicious. If this was a more standard dining experience, it would have been 4-5 stars just for the food. The service was very subpar, and really colored the entire experience negatively, therefore the two star review. I understand that staffing shortages happen -- fine. My family has worked in food service as wait staff for 25+ YEARS, so I am empathetic. But for management to ring up our bill and then come confront us in an inflammatory manner, making us feel like we were wrong, on an occasion to celebrate something special, was extremely disappointing.

We sat outside in the evening shade for a nice gathering. We shared the Cuban Caesar salad with romaine, manchego cheese, sliced pears, toasted pepitas, masa croutons, avocado, fried plantain chips and Aji amarillo Caesar. The salad was crisp, well dressed and delicious with the fried / curled plantain chips. The shrimp cerviche with fried plantains, blue corn tortilla chips, lime, cilantro and cucumber pico de gallo was ok but not remarkable. Our final selection was the Gaucho spiced skirt steak with chimichurri, and masa potato cakes. The steak was overcooked, not medium rare, bland taste and tough. The potato cake was tasteless. Overall, the ambience and service was good, however, the food lacks any hint of Cuban flare except for the fried plantains. When I think of Cuban food, I salivate for the unique taste profiles with a hint of sweetness from the fruits. At The canal Club, I found it non-existing. The name, setting, and environment is good but the kitchen needs to let in on the theme being Cuban.

One of my friends ordered the Huevos Rancheros and really enjoyed them, while another got the chicken sliders and liked them so much she took the leftovers home and happily finished them later. The six of us were seated across from the bar, and it was HOT . I started sweating and needed to use the menus as a fan and drink water to try and cool off. The restaurant had already been open for almost 2 hours, so I am not sure why it was so hot inside (others in our party were hot too, so I wasn't just me). Positives are the restaurant's beach decor and the hamburgers. Several people in our party ordered burgers, and they were cooked to perfection and the fries were really good! Negatives are very few seafood menu options and the fish tacos were terrible. They were drowning in a mayonnaise based slaw. The corn tortillas were really fresh and tasty, but when I bit into my taco I could mostly only taste mayonnaise and the pickled onions. Our friends even made an unsolicited comment that my tacos did not look good. Luckily, I selected fries as my side, because they were the best thing on my plate. With a name like Montauk, and the beach decor, I expected more fresh seafood options on the menu. More than half the menu was not seafood (Mediterranean platter, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, brussels sprouts, salads, etc.). Unfortunately, Montauk does not live up to the hype.

We kicked things off with a complimentary prickly pear vodka cocktail (delicious) paired with a comp app -- looks like they rotate these, and I got hummus with crudite and crackers. During the meal, there were 2 standout dishes that made this memorable. - Hamachi Crudo: THE BEST crudo I have ever had. They switch up the dressing regularly, but whatever they put on mine was unforgettable - 10 oz Wagyu Strip: solid steak, but nothing "Wagyu" tasting. It didn't have that melt-in-your-mouth fatty richness I was hoping for from wagyu and was slightly chewy. - Scallops: tender! - Asparagus: came with a creamy sauce which was a great touch - Chocolate Espresso Mousse Cake: MAGICAL. Will absolutely be back to try a different cut of steak and also the loaded baked potato. The ambience alone is worth the trip, but the crudo and that cake are what's going to stick with me.

Some of the standout items for us were the mocktails and the pasta. The Pillows of Love pasta absolutely lived up to the hype and was one of the highlights of the meal. We also enjoyed the mac and cheese, mushrooms, steak, and seafood. Everything was beautifully prepared, high quality, and worthy of the restaurant's reputation. If I had one minor critique, it would be the king crab legs. They are char-grilled, which gives them a smoky flavor that wasn't quite our personal preference. That said, the quality of the crab itself was excellent, and it's more a matter of taste than a criticism of the preparation. The atmosphere made for a perfect birthday dinner--upscale, energetic, and memorable without feeling stuffy.
