After many visits there is one constant at the Grove location. Filthy- there are always multiple dirty tables. I often sit at the bar. It's often dirty. Today at 8:30 am, nobody at the bar and the entire thing is dirty. Do you not have a cleaning crew? I asked a blonde girl (you can contact me for her photo) to clean it so I can sit. She only cleaned the seat in front of me. Not the left over filth next to me or anywhere down the line. You really should do better. And then my silverware was laid on this dirty counter. I ordered the kids grilled cheese sandwich and a small side salad and they were both great, loved the oozy cheese for the first half of the sandwich. I found the citrus and cucumber dressings both to be a bit too sweet. Would love if there were a lemon vinaigrette in the future. I'm a regular at all the Luci's locations across the valley. Their eggs are fluffy, and their breakfast potatoes are crispy. The turkey sausage wasn't my favorite I've ever had. Their wheat bread is from Noble Bread and is very good if served fresh from the toaster. Their dirty chai with oat milk is one of my favorite coffee drinks in the valley. The service can be mixed since you order at the register then they deliver your food and waitstaff roam around cleaning up. Sitting on the patio near the fire when it's cold out is a vibe! read more

Went to Arizona after not being back since 2012, and it was my first time actually navigating the streets of Scottsdale! We were looking for a nice but iconic brunch spot to indulge in, and Luci's came highly recommended. We ordered two burritos and the Funky Monkey French Toast. The burritos were hearty and flavorful, and the French toast was a staple sweet option. I later realized they actually give you the option to add fruit...totally overlooked that when ordering! I'd definitely add bananas next time for that extra sweetness and balance. I also tried the Greenade, which was packed with vitamins and exactly what I needed to recharge after an eventful Halloween weekend. We sat outside, and while I wish there weren't quite so many flies, the number of dogs I spotted made up for it. Luci's has a bright, calm vibe that captures Scottsdale's brunch energy perfectly. I can see why it's a local favorite and definitely a spot I'd recommend to people visiting. They also have some nice, unique souvenirs inside the shop, which are worth checking out. read more

My first time at Luci's at the Grove. Luci's appears to be a family friendly neighborhood restaurant in the McCormick Ranch area. We stopped in on a Friday for a late breakfast and sat down at the counter. We didn't realize you must order at a different counter but the bartender/servers were nice and held our seats for us so we could get in line and place an order. We jumped in line which was long but there is more than one register so it went quickly. My first impression was complete chaos, kids running around the restaurant, very noisy, the vibe was a little wild. The restaurant is cute and is also part gift shop. They also have grab and go food and serve cocktails which is great for brunch. We ordered coffee, green drink, avocado toast and bagel and lox. I will say I was a little shocked at the price of the avocado toast. I've ordered a lot of avocado toast dishes and I feel $15 is a little steep for that dish. They deliver the food to your seat but they call your name to run up and grab your beverages. The avocado toast was good. It did come with a side of fruit which was refreshing. The green drink was tasty. The bagel and lox cost $13 and felt that was very reasonable for the dish. My friend said she really enjoyed the bagel and lox. I will say the girl at the register was not very friendly but I can understand with the noise and the amount of people, it can't be easy to deal with the craziness. The servers at the counter were very friendly and attentive. Luci's is definitely a nice place to pop into if you are looking for a family friendly restaurant or place to meet friends for brunch. read more

This was my first time at this location, it's a vibe just like their other establishments. Super fun, unique shopping, brunch, coffee cocktails and a patio. It's basically an Arizona winter, year round. They are always friendly and quick and have good food. We didn't have a bad bite from the danish, to the muffin, cinnamon roll and even a biscuit with gravy. It was all good. The biscuit is a cheddar and chive biscuit with mushroom and sausage gravy. Absolutely love all the lucis. Wish they would expand more is how much i love them. This was my first time at this particular location. I am very very used to lucis at the orchard. It's very open on the inside at this location compared to orchard which is nice. But i miss the patio size from the orchard. The patio is nice for sure here as well but just not as open for kids to kind of run around. So I loved all the booth options here to trap your kids in. I had gone a different route with food and ordered a hatch chile burger and it was delicious. I love green chiles so it was so delightful. My daughter on the other hand threw a fit because she can't handle spice yet. The fries seemed a bit stale or like they had been sitting awhile. Not perfectly crispy. But maybe will try a diff side next time. I'll always love all the options lucis has to offer and the matcha i ordered was gone in seconds. Walked in. Was not even greeted. Sat at the bar which is standard protocol at basically every restaurant. No one said one word to me. Sat for over 15 minutes with staff just walking by and some even giving us dirty looks or chuckling. Got up walked into the shopping center to a much better restaurant where we were greeted at the bar by a friendly face and immediate service. Now looking at the reviews for this place I realize many other people had a similar experience. Apparently you have to order first at another counter? Considering we sat there for 15 minutes and not one person told us that and there was not one sign at the bar to tell us it wasn't a normal restaurant is super weird. Add on to that the additional rudeness of the staff who clearly think it's funny for people to sit here and not know....well we won't be returning. For the owner/operator this was March 7th. Might be time to put up a sign and train your staff to make sure customers are aware this is a counter service fast food and not a sit down and order restaurant. read more

I came here last month for my birthday brunch with family. Had pretty good service and was a busy Sunday morning to boot. I ordered the Lox bagel and had an iced coffee as well. My girlfriend had the traditional breakfast with eggs, bacon, potatoes and fruit. She also had an energy drink which she really dug. We came back this month since I got a gift card to this place and had lunch this time around, and I got the green chili burger, medium well, with an iced chai since their coffee machine was apparently down today. My girlfriend ordered the traditional breakfast again which she loves, this time with toast. We came and sat out on the patio today, it's got a lovely ambiance and it was a perfectly sunny day and we had to soak it up! Overall this place is solid enough to keep us coming back and has a good menu with solid options. If I didn't live down the street from here, I don't know if I would go out of my way to come here, but it is nice and convenient and I like how chill it is, and they have a big old shop with plenty of eccentric and cheeky items that some will go crazy for. read more

I was in this shopping center in Scottsdale for a banking errand and needed to grab some lunch before heading back home. I saw on Yelp that this was nearby and saw a review with really good pictures from Yelper Beth B. It did not disappoint. All of the servers are extremely friendly here. My latte came out quickly near the espresso machine in a to-go cup. It was very strong, good coffee, and the milk was frothed into foamy peaks. YUMMM M, This coffee was delicious. A 16 ounce has two shots of espresso. I decided to grab something light for lunch. I ordered the Sweet Fig & Tuna Salad Wrap. This comes with french fries and pickle. I'm so glad I chose this. It was exactly what I was looking for. The tuna salad is delicious and creamy with green onion and pickle. There's a slight crunch and sweetness from the fig near the wrap. The portion is a nice size. I couldn't finish my fries or pickle because the wrap was enough for me today. This cafe and market has adorable items for gifts or for light shopping near the entrance. There is booth seating, tables and chairs for sitting, and a bar. I sat at the bar because I was alone and in a bit of a hurry. There are also chairs, tables, and couches outside on the covered patio to sit and enjoy near the fireplace. There is a men's and women's restroom inside for customers. I can't wait till I'm in the area again just so I can come back here and do a little shopping in the market and sit in this charming café and enjoy some good food and coffee. The people are nice, but not especially focused, and being a younger group of employees, not particularly engaging. This last time, the music was so loud, it inhibited conversation. Went there for breakfast today after my workout at the nearby LA Fitness. I've never been there before so I didn't know the ordering protocol or menu items. I sat at the bar and was ignored by 3 employees who were chatting it up amongst themselves so I asked if one of them could take my order and they explained that I needed to order from the front counter area, pay and they would bring my food to my table. Great! Not knowing the overhead posted menu I saw under the breakfast selections several egg dishes and asked the cashier if they served pancakes. She smiled and said, yes. I asked where on the menu they were listed and she kind of chuckled and said, they're up there, while looking at me. I asked her to show me where and explained it was my first time eating there. She looked at the menu and after a few seconds we both saw pancakes on the menu. I ordered eggs over medium with sausage, potatoes and toast with coffee. My food arrived quickly and the lady who delivered my food asked if I wanted jelly and I said, yes please, grape. She returned with strawberry jelly and ketchup. The eggs were under cooked and the sausage links were skinny and dry. The coffee was good though. Overall, breakfast was just Okay. I'll stick with First Watch or Butters from now on. read more

This review is for my past three experiences over the course of a month or two. I have been ordering the turkey Lurkey again and the beet salad for take out, and everything has been great! 5 stars. Today however, we dined in on the patio for breakfast. First issue was the birds! They must have been short staffed and nobody was cleaning the tables, so as soon as a table would get up, the birds (10-20) would swoop in and start taking food off the table. I never noticed before because there was a man who used to clean the tables as soon as a party left. Now there are birds (and poop) everywhere. Second issue was my food! It tasted burnt. I kept picking my omelette apart trying to figure out what was burnt...and finally discovered it was the spinach. Totally Inedible. My boyfriend got an egg sandwich and it was an omelette on bread. Weird! Zero stars. The potatoes, coffee and mimosa were great, but the food, service and ambiance today missed the mark. read more
