We were seated quickly and the staff were prompt and friendly. We had lots of great choices and I appreciated we could do gluten free options. The pancakes were hearty and fluffy, the eggs were so fluffy and light it seemed like air, and my poached eggs were perfectly runny. Delicious breakfast in a fun environment! The menu had a lot of great options and we would go back again for just the same type of quality but in a new taste. It is in Scottsdale so prices are a bit higher, and they did charge extra for gluten free toast but I appreciated being asked about it before they assumed we would be ok with the up charge. Visited last week for the first time and I am always wary when a place has a food in their name. It seems presumptuous to imply you have the best of anything. Well let me tell you this, Butterfields should change their name to "Worlds Best Pancake"! I grew up in a southern household and thought nothing could top mom's homemade pancakes but boy was I wrong. Even if you don't "love" pancakes you owe it to yourself to visit and you might become addicted. Their basic pancake is incredible and they have tons of options to mix it up. I tried the pecan apple topping and it was great. As you can see in the pictures the portions are huge. Everything else we had (eggs, hash browns, crepes and bacon) were also amazing but the pancake is the star. Creamy butter and thick maple syrup is all you need to eat what I think is the best pancake I have ever had. The service was spot on and the place was very clean which is also a huge selling point. Pancakes in the business name? Sign me up! I went here on a Sunday morning and it was CROWDED. Unfortunately, they do not have any sort of virtual waitlist so you have to be in-person to put your name in for a table. The line to see the host stand was out the door and wrapped around part of the building. It took about 20 minutes to get in the door and then it was another 45 minute wait for us to be seated. Their estimated wait time was accurate as we were seated around that time. I ordered the Apple Cinnamon Pecan Caramel Pancakes. Pancakes were delicious and fluffy. I liked all the different flavors they had on their menu. Service was average. It being super busy could have had something to do with it, but it took an extended amount of time to get our drinks and even longer for my friend to get milk with her coffee. Lots of parking is available as Butterfield's as it is located is in a shopping center, but this is a stand alone building. The Scottsdale location is wonderful, has a great staff, and most of all it's very clean. It does get very busy weekend mornings; however, the line moves along fairly quickly. My wife, daughter, and I had brunch here today. While we don't visit often due to the drive from northeast Mesa, every experience we've had has been a good one. The stay is always so friendly and although there's always a wait, it's never that long. They did recently remodel and add a breakfast bar which is cool. We both got the Two Eggs plate with bacon ($15 with protein, $12.50 without). It comes with hash browns or grits and pancakes or toast. We upgraded to specialty pancakes (+$3) to get the Berry Bliss, one of our favorites. We thought it would come with just a single pancake for each of us, but it came with two pancakes each! Well I'm in Scottsdale on vacation and decided to try something new for breakfast. This place had a pretty decent rating so here I go. I arrived around 10:15 am and the place was packed. I took a seat at the counter so I didn't have to wait long. After a wipe down of the area I got a menu. Ordered water and orange juice to get started. Here is a picture of the menu. I ordered the chorizo egg burrito because it was new and comes with salsa. How could I go wrong. While waiting I surveyed the restaurant. The crowd noise is high but you can hold a conversation. The place is clean and the staff appears to be efficient. They are definitely fast. The food arrived. Now if you are looking for spicy you better get the hot sauce because it is not spicy. I added the Cholula, salsa, and sour cream to mine and it gave a nice kick to the eggs and chorizo. The hash browns were average and I put pepper and ketchup to taste but nothing of note there. Tried a new place on Mother's Day, and this place was PACKED! But the reviews are so good we waited the 50 minutes for a seat. We were 50 in line, so 50 minutes wasn't a bad wait time. I don't remember what I got for the life of me, but I remember it tasted really good. Some omelet.. our waitress was cool, she convinced me to get a latte with caramel, and I know she tried her best with the design. (I guessed an elephant trunk blowing water). I did not care for the texture of the scrambled eggs at all - they almost melted - in not a great way - in your mouth. We wanted to treat the family to a good breakfast, so we stopped by Butterfields while we were in the Scottsdale area. It turned out to be a great decision. Even though the restaurant was busy when we arrived, we were seated within about five minutes and had our food on the table roughly ten minutes after ordering. The service was friendly and efficient, and the place was clean and welcoming. The food was excellent, you could really tell it was made in-house with quality ingredients. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. Prices were a little on the higher side, but the quality matched the cost. For two adults and two kids, breakfast came out to a little over $100 after tip. Everyone had water except one kid who ordered orange juice. This isn't somewhere we'd eat every day because of the price, but it was a great treat for the family and a perfect stop before starting our day.
