John (owner) and his employee Oscar came out to repair my commercial ice maker that had not worked in 2 yr. Honestly, I had given up on it working. But John came first to diagnose the issue and said he would be back with a employee because he had to get under house where the ice maker was draining to clear the drain lines..and he needed a second person to help...the drain pipe was clogged extensively and the drain hose from the machine was clogged. They both were patient..came and evaluated what they needed...then left to get more supplies and returned after 5p with the new supplies and stayed til 8p to finish. I even called him around 5 and asked if he was sure he still wanted to come and return to finish with it being so late...he confirmed he was close to the house and on his way at 515 to finish. He and Oscar returned and made a comment thats what flash lights are for if it got later. He and Oscar were professional, happy to find the problem even with it being after hours. Honestly they both were amazing. Oscar got the machine Manitowoc hooked up while John was under house securing the drain. Never during this after hrs repair that either complained about it being late. They stayed energetic, happy and expressed thanks for the opportunity to fix the machine. Since it would take all weekend to see how it performed. .John even offered to return monday to check machine if it was not working correctly. Fortunately...it started right up and draining properly. Thanks to John's evaluation that it was never the machine but the draining system. Oscar also replaced the power panel (that needed to be changed) . He was so efficient as well. To add. In the past John has repaired my Viking refrigerator when no one else would bother because it was complicated to repair. If you are looking for an excellent Appliance repair company--we recommend Amer-Tech, owner John and his employees to assess and repair your appliance. They are honest and reasonable in their repair charge. I was actually somewhat concerned over what the final bill was going to be to consider they were here after hours up to 8 and include the previous trip in to evaluate the machine and set up a plan for repair. Their bill was more than reasonable. I recommend this company if you are looking for a company whom cares about getting the repair right the first time, as well as , showing concern for the customer with satisfaction guaranteed. I was forced referred to this company from a Lowe's service guarantee. First if Lowe's identifies this as the repair contractor tell them to give you another business. Being around the government and other places when these places did they take the cheapest price to do what they need for the contract. They came out to look at my refrigerator out again for no cold. For the fourth time in 3 years my motor was burned up. We identified this to the person who came out for the repairmen. We pointed out from our view that there must be something in the fridge taking these out as way too many times to burn up. Of course they want to do the quick and easy they just said oh you need a new motor take two weeks for them to get with Lowe's to get it approved. 2 weeks with food in a refrigerator and freezer that's going to go bad not sure why I would take 2 weeks. We called back to the business to see where we're at with the part and see if we can have them expedite it. The gentleman Oscar was the name of of who was supposed to help us or look into it we left numerous messages we were promised calls back from Oscar at this business. As of yesterday we called Lowe's directly and ask him if they have gotten in contact with them from this contractor or where we stood for the getting apart at least on order. Lowe's inform me as of yesterday that they the man contractor here have never gotten with him yet that was about a week ago. Lowe's said that they would send a message follow-up to the company to see what was going on. I can understand slow I can understand part availability what I can't accept is when you lie to me does this company told me they were waiting on Lowe's to get back to them. As I stated if Lowe's send you these people I would definitely get a different contractor to do your work cannot be trusted or they have no clue of what they're doing on paperwork ordering parts and working with those who pays their bill. We scheduled a service call between 12pm-5pm today. At 2pm, the technician called to reschedule stating that they were down one technician due to a problem with the service vehicle. I called and spoke to them advising that we could wait until after 5pm but that it would be impossible to reschedule since we are booked with patients for the next 2 weeks. The technician said that we could file a complaint with "Lowes" (it was Home Depot) and hung up the phone. In review of their review rating, I am not sure why Lowes or Home Depot are contracting with this company. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I have a warranty with Lowes and they assigned me to this company. The company scheduled a technician to come out on December 4. He came out, stayed for less than a minute and told me I needed a new control board and heating element. He would order those and it would take a week. After a week, (December 11) I called for am update on the status. They told me the part should come in on either Thursday or Friday (December 18 or 19) and they would call to set up an appointment. On December 23, I called and no one answered the phone. Today, December 29, I called, no one answered the phone. I then called Lowes to ask for another repair company and i was told Ameri-Tech closed the case on December 8- before the part they ordered was originally supposed to arrive! The closure report said NOTHING about what was wrong with the dryer and I then had to file another claim with Lowes to get the same problem fixed. I am now stuck with a dryer that has been broken for over a month with no scheduled date for fix or even a range for when anything will be done with it- and I have a warranty! it would have been cheaper and less of a headache to skip the warranty and just pay for the repair myself. These people are TERRIBLE and I don't know how they stay in business (PS Lowes is not better. How does a company close a claim without stating ANYTHING and Lowes lets that slide?) read more

If you ever get this company assigned to you from any warranty company especially Lowe's call them back asap and ask for a different company. Trust me you'll thank me later. Unprofessional, never call you back, rude, never show up when they're suppose to, they close out claims so they don't have to do the work but collect the diagnostic money from Lowe's, they took parts from the repair and never installed them and then I was charged for them because they weren't installed on top of that no diagnostic report was ever submitted to the warranty company. I have been waiting since February for any type of repair from this company and it is now April and still nothing but headaches and unusable washer and dryer. I had one of the guys from Lowe's warranty on the line so AmeriTech and them can both talk due to no diagnostic report being submitted and his response was to hang up. I call Ameritech back because Lowe's wanted to speak with them and to have them rejoin the call and they just said "F off I don't deal with this crap have them call me when you're not on the line". These guys must be doing some type of fraud with the stupid warranty companies. All they say is disconnect your refrigerator, let it defrost, and it should work once you connect it again lol. I am so sad that I have to have to right this review but I feel I must tell my story about Ameri-Tech appliances in El Paso Texas must be told. My refrigerator from whirlpool broke on a Saturday afternoon and I was not able to call Whirlpool till Monday morning. Once I was able to get a hold of somebody, they sent a technician out from Ameritech appliances and it took them five days to even come to our house to tell us in 5 minutes that a part was broken! Then it took them almost 3 weeks to re-order the part and come back to fix the fridge. Sadly after the technician was here for over two hours the fridge is now vibrating like crazy and the technician was not able to install all the pieces back so my brand new fridge looks horrible on the back!! I cannot believe this about this company. I have not been without a refrigerator for over four weeks because of this company. Since mid April I have been trying to get a wine refrigerator fixed. Numerous times the technician came out. Every time I have been told that he would call me just for me having to call them at the head office to figure out what the progress was. I found them incompetent and unreliable and would under no circumstances recommend them to anyone else. When I finally had enough, they refunded me everything but the service charge which makes me even more unsatisfied in retrospect. Horrible service! Inconsiderate to their customers and HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! Was referred to this company by Lowes. Originally called April 17th to set an appointment to look at our dryer and it seemed like it'd go fine, though the tech who called never gave his name or the company he worked with, which was a little odd. On April 24th the tech came out to look at the dryer and gave the diagnosis. He also said he would order the part that day and have it in and ready to install early next week. We called the day before to ensure that the part was in and ready to install the next day since we had not heard anything since that day. The tech who came out informed us that he had, in fact, not ordered the part like he said he would and, once again, said he'd order the part that day. We gave them the week to get the part in and then called to see where they were at. They refused to answer the call so we got Lowes involved. Since then we had to go through Lowes to get any answer from Ameritech. They kept telling Lowes that the part wasn't in and kept pushing the installation date back. At this point we have gone 3 weeks without a working dryer in a house of 4 people! FINALLY we got a call from Ameritech on the 10th of May to come install it. The whole time the tech was unphased by our frustration and laughed the ridiculous amount of time it took to get the part. According to the tech, his boss, John Wagner, waits until he has several part orders before ordering parts to save money on shipping! They came out to repair a simple drainage problem. The technician stated that most of the time, it is the air breather on the sink. I explained I looked at that and saw nothing. Water drained lightly out of the hose into a pail. I asked if it could be the sump pump, no answer. I went upstairs to do some business. 5 minutes later he called and said he fixed it. He said the hose was clogged. I did the first load in it, after said repairs today, and it DOES NOT DRAIN...Do not recommend. read more
