I'd been a customer since my time in college here in 2015. Service has been on the decline since then, what other people say about the girls that answer the phone being rude as hell is true. I've had a few few frustrating orders in a row (wrong items, abnormally long wait times when they're not busy, etc) and I think this one will be my last. They've changed things with the app you could use to order and for whatever reason there was a confusing wordage with one of their pizzas. I called thinking I got the wrong thing in the hopes of some kind of help and the person who answered was undeservedly unsympathetic and rude. I have ordered from this place a few times and well it seems like this will be my last order. Last time they forgot my drink this time my drink is out of syrup! Whoever put my order together failed to notice the soda water that should have been a Pibb. I should have known this would be it. The cheese sticks were all exploded so just fried bread crumbs. The baked ziti was it for me! 10lbs of sauce to about 8 noodles, sausage in the sauce I didn't not ask for that and well the part that pissed me off the cheese on the top is fully stuck to the top of the container. read more

We started coming here a few years ago, because it was basically not as crappy as the other pizza places in town. It has always been hit and miss on the quality control, but last night was the ultimate in crap. The pizza looked like it was made by a preschooler. It was oddly shaped and the pieces were weird sizes and shapes. They should be embarrassed. I took a picture to remind myself of the crap quality, so next time I think to order from them, I will think again. Nope. Will definitely not return. I ordered a calzone and the cheese is minimal and of poor quality. The calzone is lacking in flavor. I opened it because there were hardly any toppings in my bite and that is because they skimped heavily. It was supposed to be their Giovanni specialty calzone with pepperoni, sausage, peppers, onions and mushrooms, I saw a few pepperoni and some onions. It was mostly bread and that was chewy! Customer service is definitely not Giovanni's specialty nor are their Stromboli's. I ordered a sausage and pepperoni Stromboli with small salads for delivery to Tanner Medical Center and never got my salad. It was bad enough that I flew in from out of state for my daughter emergency surgery and when I called to ask what could be done about getting a refund for the salad they stated they were incapable of issuing a refund. They said they could run out the salad but after eating the most horrible Stromboli I have eaten in my life I figured the salad would be a bad idea anyway. I would have been way happier waiting for hospital food in the morning. Lesson learned. read more

If I could give a minus 5 stars I would. In the beginning Giovanni's was awesome. I loved their lasagna. Then they started sliding on their quality of food. My lasagna was usually burnt. I waited approximately 3 minutes and someone picked up the phone then hung up without speaking. I called back. The SAME THING happened. Good place to get a good Stromboli. The place it like a 'hole in the wall', but those are usually the best places to grab a good meal. Hours of operation a oddball, so keep that in mind. Excellent for a college town for a quick bite and get back to work. read more

They never get your sauces right and they charge u .05 for extra ranch or bleu cheese, then throw anything in the bag and it's wrong. Or charge u .50 for mixed flavors and they end up and be that greasy buttery shit and no lemon pepper sprinkles. I ordered pick up from here late on a Friday night after an event at UWG. They quoted us 20 minutes but when we got there we ended up waiting at least 30 more minutes so total time was about 45 minutes. I didn't think this was acceptable. When my friend and I got our food they had forgotten one of her cheesecakes so we had to wait for another one. I ordered a side salad, baked ziti and a piece of cheesecake. They had a house ranch with the salad which was delicious. The baked ziti was good but almost too saucy (like drowning). The cheesecake slice was pretty huge and thick. My reason for a two star review is the ridiculous wait time and the packaging of my food. I'm not sure why you would put a pan of baked ziti (especially one that's so soupy) sideways in a paper bag. It obviously is going to leak. Which it did and ripped my bag spilling all over me on our ride home. I wasn't to told to hold the paper bag another way and it was handed to me the way it was ripped. I've been ordering takeout from here for years! Their wings are off the chain and their fried pickles are a delicacy.

A couple of months ago we ordered pizza from here and it was amazing. So since my family came into town for the summer we thought this is where we should order from. We ordered 2 large pizzas. One just plain cheese the other with Pepperoni, Sausage and fresh garlic. We live only 1.6 miles from the restaurant so we decided we would go pick the pizza up. We got the pizza home to find it ice cold to the point we had to put it in the oven to cook it more. (The crust was still bright white) There was zero garlic on the pizza and one was cut into 10 slices the other was cut into 12. The plain cheese pizza had only half of it with cheese the other half was literally sauce and crust! We were not happy to put it lightly. When decided to call to find out why the decrease in quality of pizza to which a girl (Megan) answered and explained she was the manager. After putting us on hold to "find out what happened" she came back to tell us if we want to come back she will make us another pizza. When we explained to her we were unable to drive back - she got extremely rude and told us that the only thing she can do at this point then is give us 10% off our next order. Really lady - so let me get this straight you mess up and since we don't have the ability to make it make you go from offering us $27.00 in pizza- to giving me $2.70 credit. Are you kidding me? At first glance, Giovanni's Pizza & Subs looks like a "hole in the wall" Pizzeria. You are welcomed with that classic "Dine in or To-Go" pizzeria environment. I ordered a large pizza w/ Pepperoni, Sausage, and Black Olive to dine in. (Personally not a fan of peppers, onions, etc. on pizza.) The wait for the food was acceptable. Not lightning fast, but didn't take very long either. First impression, the dough looked very crispy, and the pizza all together looked like it was cooked to perfection. Now personally, I don't like a ton of sauce on my pizza. I want it on, of course, but not too much, as it sort of overpowers the cheese & toppings. This pizza was spot on with that preference! (Note: I did not tell the waitress to lay off on the tomato sauce, so this is how they normally do pizzas perhaps?) The dough had that nice crispy feel to it, you can always hear that crust snap as you break it in half. All the ingredients tasted fresh as well. I like to note that with pizza's as my family is native to Wisconsin, we can easily tell real from fake when it comes to dairy products. None of the toppings overpowered each other, you get a taste of everything! Giovanni's, I salute you for making a beautiful Pizza Pie! However, I must explain why 1 star has been knocked off for this restaurant with so much 5 star potential, and it is due to one crucial thing in the restaurant business: Service. The service wasn't that bad, however you could tell that some of the waiters/waitresses were lacking in effort for their job. Luckily, the food was delicious enough to save this restaurant from a 3/5 rating! I will definitely return to Giovanni's soon, with a craving for more than a classic pizza pie, perhaps maybe even dessert? We will see, until next time. read more

I ordered like 30$ worth of food... To have delivered and it was cold.... If I would have seen what the delivery driver looked like before hand I would have never allowed for my food to have been transported in his vehicle. Then another time I ordered pick up and I brought my bride to be with me. BOTH TIMES we had to wait over 20 minutes past the expected time.... When I went to pick up the food it was just their fried cheese filled ravioli seriously... And I had to wait over 20 minutes on top of the 30 they told me. My girlfriend and I take a lot of pride in our appearance but we're still humble. I play baseball and she was a cheerleader and is now an aspiring fitness model. And there was some rude girl with brown hair wearing leggings that were disgustingly tight and probably too small for her larger frame.... She started looking my girlfriend up and down and then rolling her eyes. So I asked Sarah (gf-bride to be) if they knew each other she said no, and told me that it was funny I noticed her doing that. She told me that girls who still in their immaturity are jealous of women who do this weird rude thing where they want you to feel judged by them so they look at you weird because you look better than they do. So she flipped her hair and the plumper girl and she got so mad she turned her back on us and acted like she was answering the phones. I left the other girl working a 6$ tip so even the rude girl would be able to have a tip too. I got to meet the manger/ owner here though he is really nice. So he saved this place, if we ever order from this place again it's because of him and the other nicer people who work here. read more

Was visiting the area and felt like some pizza. The hours are a bit odd. 11-4 and 5-4 am. Closes from 4-5?? so we thought that it was closed when we went. I got a pizza and my daughter got chicken Alfredo. We didn't have high hopes for good food, just hoped that it was going to be decent. THIS PLACE WAS GREAT. I highly recommend it. Formally one of our favorite places to order from. Our past 2 orders have been incorrect. When I called to speak to a manager, I spoke with Katie. She was extremely rude, unhelpful and obviously did not care that I was not satisfied. This is a local eatery that our community has supported and helped to grow. They now have multiple locations. Unfortunately, as the grew, they lost sight of quality with both food and customer service. My advice, order somewhere else. A great alternative is Rocky's Pizza on Maple. read more

Absolutely refused to fix my Order of wings. Southwire had a group order during night shift around 11:30 pm on 8/3/19. The Order had (2)20 pc lemon pepper wings and a 20 pc hot wing. The hot wings were missing. By the time I was able to call up there to try to get it fixed, because I was working, they had told me basically that I was SOL because a co-worker has already called about his food being messed up, and that they weren't going to send a 3rd delivery out to Southwire, like it's my fault they messed up twice.
