I can't stress enough how wonderful this company is. They communicate with you CLEARLY in regards to everything including pick up!! Safety is their number one and they make it clear. Take care of the equipment and the customer. Glen Dylan and Chris y'all are EVERYTHING! My Son rode passenger as he's not Enough to drive but he had an amazing time. Super terrain and out door feel! The desert experience was one of a kind. You will get dirty and dusty so don't wear your Sunday best. There is no where to wash your hands and face either lol but wipes are provided at the end. A real gem just outside of Vegas. My group was a mix of 4 experienced dirtbike riders and 2 guys who prefer RZRs. We had 2 guides with us (Austin and Sam, who is also the mechanic for the group). Both great riders and very familiar with the trails and most importantly, able to measure our riding experience and adjust so we were not just putting around, but also not doing anything stupid or dangerous. We did (2) 5-hour tours, which may be a bit much for most, but by the end of the 2nd day, we all got it out of our system. During that time were exposed to a great mix of terrain that also included some nice single-track trails for the bikes, a section of the Mint-400 and the dry lakebed flats. Very disappointing. Just booked this a week ago. Papers advised of a remote staging area in Jean, NV at 645am. We arrived at 6:30 waited. When no one showed we called. We're advised that start time changed to 7:45 and moved to different location. Another hour of sleep would have been nice -maybe some advance notice? No apology by business. Then, this was supposed to be a 3 hour scenic tour of the historic Hidden Valley, into the McCullough mountain range, crossing a dry lake bed to the Nevada-California state line with a stop in Primm. We were told after we started that that trail was closed- ended up driving in circles is an ugly area behind Terribles gas station. Whole thing lasted about 2 hours. Ended up paying for something we did not get. We at least should have been told in advance so we can make intelligent choice. Guides were great- business absolutely unprofessional. Would have to imagine there are better outfits than this out there. Caveat emptor. read more

Absolutely loved this tour. I booked online and did the tour while Vegas. We had Jorge and Rode who were so awesome. Jorge was our guide and took us all the way out in the desert, we got to see some amazing views. We rode for close to three hours, it literally felt like we had been riding forever. They have a shuttle that picks you up and the hotel but we chose to drive our rental and they met us up at the gas station and waited for us and everything. Very friendly, cool and funny guys. The equipment was clean, they provided goggles, helmets, gloves and most importantly WATER!!!! These guys were also pro picture takers, they took some awesome pictures of us, even a panoramic. My two adult sons and I rented two RZR's (2 person ATV) from these guys and went for a spin out in the desert. I rode and they drove. Sons both wanted their own vehicle, so no problem for Dad to oblige. It was great. We would all totally go again. Got dirty and cold and had a great time. Only potential downside was that our tour included a blowhard guest on a birthday trip who loved hearing himself talk; our participation was not required to continue this one-sided conversation. Our tour guide handled him well, and besides the (2) 45-minute rides to get from Las Vegas to the tour site, we didn't have to hear him blab. There was a mixup in our tour pickup location. I am still not sure who's mixup it was, but our driver came and got us anyway at an "unplanned" location. I was very appreciative of this kindness and tipped him accordingly. Coats for the winter are needed, and anyone with a dust aversion or need for cleanliness in all things shouldn't go. My sons and I all brought sunglasses and were very glad we did. During the time of our drive, the sun was glaring right in our eyes sometimes. We needed the glasses to keep up and stay on the trail. read more

After calling around and reading reviews to find an ATV tour in Vegas, I am so glad we chose American Adventures Tours. First of all, the price is great; a bit lower than other tours. But even more important, the customer service is fantastic. We were picked up on time and given great instructions before riding. This was my first time riding an ATV and I was honestly quite nervous. The instructor was very patient and definitely put me at ease before heading out on the tour. Riding through the desert was quite an experience. We stopped at several breathtaking sights at the top of the mountain before heading to a mall where we were able to grab a bite to eat before heading back. I would recommend taking the 7am tour so that you are finished before the sun becomes unbearable at 12pm. Wear long sleeves and bring a small scarf to cover your nose and mouth from the dust. I recommend this company and tour 100%. Each reservation group gets their own guide which is wonderful because they work with you to make sure you get the experience you paid for!! You can ride your own ATV (which we did) , rent a 2 person vehicle, ride in a 4 person ATV with one of the guides as your driver or even ride a dirt bike . There may be other options but those are the ones we saw when we went on our tour. The company staff are all professional, efficient, entertaining and respectful of the desert! Great day riding through the desert with Shawn. Always wanted to ride through the desert and mountain peaks. Riding through trails and dry lake beds at speeds that will thrill you. You can ride at any pace level. We rented RZRs that have seat backs that made the trip so enjoyable. Make sure you purchase a motocross face mask on Amazon prior to your trip. The mask prevented dust and will help. The tour operator provides everything you'll need except the motocross face mask. Only $8.00 on Amazon. Lastly we drove to the meeting place and we got so lost. Yelp 100 Challenge 14' * 37/100 Amazing rugged experience with my cousin and her boyfriend from Scotland. My first time riding a quad too. What a thrill for a closeted adrenaline junkie like me to speed up to 40 on the trails. We were first picked up at the Wynn and enjoyed a trip to Primm Valley where we were then led to a trailer that contained all the necessary equipment and safety gear (helmets, goggles, cold water, wet towels and release sheets). Our two guides were very patient and thorough with the rules after which they broke down the components of our quads and had us warm up around the open area that surrounded us. I had trouble navigating my way through the trail at first and veered off the path twice but the guide following behind (the other one leads the pack up front), was patient with me and gave me some advice as well as a pat on the shoulder. By the time we reached our first pit stop which passed by a winding path uphill, everyone was more comfortable with their quads. If someone got stuck or needed a rest, it's good to know that no one gets left behind. If, in case, a tour group is made up of smaller groups, the guides could choose to split everyone up so that each group could ride at their own pace. By the time we reached the bare lake bed, we accelerated to speeds of about 50-55mph. Be ready to get some sand in your nose and mouths. Loose goggles will also bring sand into your eyes so make sure you secure them before taking off to the trail. This part can be dangerous if you're following right behind a gust of sand resulted from the quad in front of you. Be aware of wind direction and follow a path where the guide is still visible from 200-500 feet. Soon after was our last pit stop. We were given time to grab a bite at the Primm Valley Fashion Outlet then headed back the same route. Everything looked so different coming back though. It was a day I will never forget. Don't expect anything fancy with ATVs. It can get dirty and you won't feel your thumbs the next day. Nonetheless, every moment was worth it. read more

Did the "Las Vegas RZR Tour Extreme Hidden Valley Primm". It was a blast. They picked us up from our hotel. Went through safety instructions, geared us up and we were off. The machines were loud and powerful, the ride fast, thrilling, bumpy (in a good way) and windy and the dessert views were gorgeous. We got to ride for 3.5 hours long. The instructors/tour guides were super friendly, wanted us to have a good time yet stay safe at the same time. Be sure to tip them! read more

My experience over the phone with Lisa was excellent, she was professional and courteous. Austin, our guide was attentive to our needs and gave us a ride that was great for my son and I. He challenged my son's abilities (which were at a much higher level than mine) while keeping me happy , too. We also enjoyed the ice water provided by Byron (?) while we out on the trail. One of the bikes, however, was a big disappointment. I had emphasized to Lisa that we wanted electric start. Kicking a big bore bike in the heat is no fun. The battery on one bike was dead from the start and never charged up all ride. My son did a lot of kicking. The ride itself beat us up pretty good, and we like that, but kicking reduces the fun factor. Both tires on the bike were trash but somehow it didn't seem to slow down my son. Never been 4wheeling before. This was the cheapest and easiest choice I could find for riding out in the desert. The instructors were accommodating and friendly. Very chill dudes. They pick you up at your hotel. The drive out is about 30 minutes. The total ride time was a little over two hours. The vehicles were easy to use. Automatic transmission, so no clutch. Driving on the desert afternoon 100+ degree :)) KC picked us up at the hotel, he was on time and really friendly. Went over the safety etc. Guy has great jokes. Due to the crazy time that we picked, it was only 2 of us and Ty, our tour guide. VIP treatment! Ty still took time to make sure we had good time. He is supper friendly too, military and know about the valley/ what he does. Would recommend this tour to everybody! Gotta try it to see Vegas from a different view, away from the alcohol and gambling! Tips: make sure you drink alot of water. Use gopro or your phone If you want to video record. We went to Las Vegas for a concert and one of the things we did during the day went on an adventure with American Adventure Tours. We had a dune buggy for two and the trails are well-groomed although a bit rough in places. You definitely need a guide because there are so many trails that one could easily get lost. If you're just looking for an easy coast and nice scenery then the standard tour is all for you. The extreme tour isnt a group setting and feels much more vip. Our time with AAT was great. They pick you up from you hotel location and travel about 45 minutes outside of the strip. When we got to the location all of our equipment was ready for use. I like that we got to go to the Nevada/California state line. The trip was harder than I thought it would be but still very fun and exciting. The only downfall to our trip was our guide. We were super lucky due to the fact that we were the only people to book the ATV's therefore we pretty much got a private tour. Our guide (I don't remember his name) but he was such a Sour Patch Kid. He would go from being super nice and friendly to being a total prick. He even randomly called my boyfriend a "jackass" but then went to being super friendly. Never knew what we were going to get and it made me uncomfortable a bit. The other guides appeared nice. Overall a fun experience. read more

My friends and I did a private tour there were three of us two wanted to ride dirt bikes and myself I wanted to ride an ATV. Most companies did not want to let us ride together and we wanted to do it as a group as we were out their doing are male bonding thing lol. This place made an exception and let us do a private tour it was not cheap about $300 per person but that day was very fun and something myself and my buddies will never forget. The tour person was great as well. Unfortunately we don't remember his name but he was the younger kid of the group. The others guys that work their all bust his balls but he is actually a cool kid and been riding for a long time. Thanks for the great memories fellas. O my fave part was opening up the throttle going across the dry lake bed. If you've been on a tour where they have restrictors on the bikes or atvs Im sure you know they suck.
