My review will cover Stefani's barre class. I was first introduced to barre in 2019 and I've fallen in love with the practice. Stefani's barre class at Facet Seven Heights is my absolute favorite! Stefani is very upbeat, personable, fun, and extremely energetic! Her class is great for beginners and those who are advanced in the practice! She always has a fun playlist to rock out to and it makes the class even more fun! If you visit this gym, I definitely recommend checking out Stefani's barre class. She teaches on Mondays at 7:10pm, Thursdays at 6:20 or 6:35pm (sorry I can't remember), Saturdays at 10:35am, and Sundays at 9:45am.

Instantly when I started taking classes at Facet Seven I appreciated the community and friendliness at the front desk, members, and the instructors as well. I mainly take Stefani's barre, yoga, and ABC class but also have enjoyed HIIT and strengthcon with Emma. Stefani is a bright light and makes working out so fun but also challenging. Emma similarly looks to challenge but is also motivating and provided me modifications when needed with an injury, looking out for me when I didn't realize I could re-injure something without even knowing. The gym has a variety of equipment but is on the smaller side, so it's easier to see and get to know regulars in your class but also meet new people. Highly recommend!

I'm an OTF addict and this was a nice gym, visiting from out of town. Everything is new and fresh,…read morethe space is bigger the most OTF. The coach was super energetic and the volume was a little too loud (my only complaint), everyone was friendly and helpful. One other suggestion: they ran out of lower end weights quickly, might be nice to have more (30 lb). Nice parking lot, a hip area with reclaimed buildings and artsy boutique stuff.

After having been to a couple different orange theory locations around the greater Houston area,…read morethe Sawyer Heights location is probably my favorite! OT is a science backed workout that focuses on your heart rate zones to get the best possible workout in an hour flat. The classes are always a different mix of running, rowing, and lifting with a focus of endurance, strength, or power. No 2 classes are ever exactly the same! What makes the Sawyer Heights location the best is a mix of the people, the coaches, the big open space, and the cleanliness. First off, parking is never an issue here, there's tons of it. There's lockers, 3 restrooms, and multiple showers. Then the workout studio itself has 17 each of treads, rowers, and weight stations. Even when I don't feel like working out, just show up and you're guaranteed to have a better day than you were expecting. Catch me at any of the morning classes like 5am, 7:10am, or 9:30am depending on my work schedule, enjoy!

Ok I've been going for several months now and I can say I'm a fan of Onesweat. The instructors are all awesome and they really push you. I also like that they aren't so pushy with buying more classes or gimmicky monitors. That was definitely a turn off for me with one of their competitors who shall remain nameless (starts with an Orange ).

I've been trying to switch it up with my workout routine to have more diversity with the exercises…read more I usually go to spin classes so I appreciate the cardio aspect of this but love that there is more weights involved. I recently tried Barry's and loved it so I figured I'd try this one as it's closer. Upon arrival, the woman at the front desk got me checked in and told me I could wait until the earlier class finished so she could give me an overview. They do have lockers in the bathroom for your stuff; however, most people just left their stuff in the open cubbies at the front. One the earlier class let out, us first timers were brought into the room and shown how to work the treadmill since it wasn't a generic one. For this class, the room has blue lighting and the instructor is on an elevated platform (or should I say DJ booth). The stage is where the exercises are demonstrated and you can always look for the instructor. While Barry's usually does a clean split between time on the treadmill and then the floor... SWEAT has 5-7 minute intervals and rotations. I didn't love this as I was sharing a space with someone else so when I got to the floor... there was sweat from the other person over the bench and it was a bit gross. Additionally, I think more time gets wasted doing the transitions. The workout itself was great and the instructor was nice. When on the treadmill, I appreciate that they give a walk, jog and run option although with the speeds they mention... no way are you still walking unless you're doing your own thing. On the floor side, I do wish they offered more options or guidance to those who have injuries and can't do some movements. I understand it's a large class so it's not feasible but it's something to note. All in all, it was a good workout and I'd visit again BUT would still pick Barry's over this one.

I was really disappointed to see this studio open in my hometown (by the same owners) after having a terrible encounter at their original location in Houston. I honestly still feel triggered by the experience I had at Method several years ago, and think about it literally every time I enter a studio, particularly a new one - hoping to never feel that kind of shame (story below if you are interested) in a space where I usually feel so safe and grounded. Please be wary of their practices, especially to my other brown girls! There are so many other kind, warm, and welcoming studios in the Austin area owned by women. Urban Lagree, ATX Pilates, homebody, trufusion, and many many others are so much better to support. ________ I posted on Google Reviews about my experience and the harm it caused, and The studio owner tried to harass me about this review by calling my personal cell multiple times (they seemed to have kept it from the many years ago I was there which is a huge violation of privacy), via my socials (I did post comments there too, to share my experience) and sending me a fairly threatening DM (screenshotted below) - I have blocked them on all accounts. Instead of apologizing for the horrible experience, somehow turned it back on me as if it was my fault I was treated that way. Even though the current staff member doesn't work there, they still stood behind her when the comments were made, and would likely do so again if given the chance. They also seem to be flooding the comment/review section with family + friend reviews, so just please be cautious, Austin friends.
