After submitting the online inquiry form and messaging Sunny, I quickly received a response and an estimated cost. To my surprise, she has always wanted do beetle tattoos and was excited to work with me. Since it was my first tattoo, I was nervous and didn't know what to expect. However, Sunny's friendliness and the store's calming ambiance made me feel reassured and surprisingly comfortable. From reference pictures to stenciling, Sunny walked me through each step and ensure all the details of the darkling beetles were included. Furthermore, before the initial outlining, other artists in the store were asked to double check the stencil (flow, composition, etc). 3 hours quickly passed and I got my first 3 beetle tattoos done on my forearm. It didn't hurt too bad because I was enjoying the nerdy beetle conversation with Sunny. After the tattoos were wrapped up, Sunny gave me a run down on the after-care routine and what to expect during the healing process. In the end, I am so glad that I went to Sunny from My Tattoo for the beetle tattoos. This is why I am having Sunny finishing a full beetle sleeve on my left arm.

Located in DTLB off of Broadway and Linden, I was lucky to find a metered spot on Linden right around the corner. I was warmly greeted by one of the tattoo artists and she allowed me to visit with my friend. I only stayed 30 min and my friend sent me a pic of her tattoo and the artist did amazing work! I believe my friend said she was there from noon til the time she sent me the pic which was around 6pm (of course with breaks).

Made a visit to see Chelsea Jane for a peacock piece I had been yearning for almost a decade. I wanted to do my research to find the perfect artist and let me just say this girl nailed it! She is super down to earth and has such an awesome calm about her that transcends to her artwork. Kind.Clean.Gentle.Fast. I've been coming here with my fiancee for about 3 years. Brandon does all my work, and Chelsea does all my fiancee's. The shop is super clean, and everybody is REALLY professional. He was super patient and helpful as far as figuring out placement and font since we didn't really have a set idea of what we wanted. He was very easygoing and chill to chat with and made the experience a lot smoother than expected especially for my first tattoo. All the paintings along the walls are his and was consistently open with his journey in art and his passion for it. He gave great tips for during the tattooing process and afterwards for the healing. Most definitely will be coming back for a second tattoo I 100% recommend coming here and working with Dan.

The price that he gave me for the tattoo was $350 but because he didn't finish I had to come back and then he charge me $50 more dollars for supplies. After complying, and the piece being completely done, I was excited and eager to stretch and leave. He asked me how I like it and of course I love it. A few weeks pass after the tattoo healed and I started to notice that the eyes on the owl were a tad bit uneven. Now I'm a bit bummed out because it's on my skin for life but then I noticed a detailed line on the owls eye was blurry instead of seeing detailed lines on the owls eye then I started to think that I need to go back and let him know. Miguel text me that same week and I was so glad that he was thinking of my piece and I and he was wondering on the outcome. I tell him about the blurred line and send a picture so he tells me to come back. As we are texting and setting up an appt he then tells me that he will charge me another $50 for supplies. At that point I really didn't feel that it was worth my money. I prefer to get it retouch by someone who has more experience with colored tattoos. I blame myself for not asking him before hand about his past experiences with art pieces that are not black. On a side note I really wish I would have gone with the tattoo artist by the name of Karina Badillo @besimplistic her art work is beautiful!
