After submitting the online inquiry form and messaging Sunny, I quickly received a response and an estimated cost. To my surprise, she has always wanted do beetle tattoos and was excited to work with me. Since it was my first tattoo, I was nervous and didn't know what to expect. However, Sunny's friendliness and the store's calming ambiance made me feel reassured and surprisingly comfortable. From reference pictures to stenciling, Sunny walked me through each step and ensure all the details of the darkling beetles were included. Furthermore, before the initial outlining, other artists in the store were asked to double check the stencil (flow, composition, etc). 3 hours quickly passed and I got my first 3 beetle tattoos done on my forearm. It didn't hurt too bad because I was enjoying the nerdy beetle conversation with Sunny. After the tattoos were wrapped up, Sunny gave me a run down on the after-care routine and what to expect during the healing process. In the end, I am so glad that I went to Sunny from My Tattoo for the beetle tattoos. This is why I am having Sunny finishing a full beetle sleeve on my left arm.

I wish I had more stars to give. This review is more for Omar than the actual establishment. However, as Shipwrecked is run by Omar, everything mentioned below reflects the professionalism of both owner and venue. Backstory: Omar did a fantastic 7 hour piece for me roughly 2.5 years ago when he was working at a different location. After some thorough research (I lived overseas for over a year) I managed to locate him. He still possessed the same characteristics than any tattoo lover seeks in an artist - professionalism, cleanliness, understanding, kindness, respectfulness, etc. - the list is endless. Present (today) - For the second time in two sessions, the tattoo session lasted considerably longer than originally anticipated. However, Omar once again kept his word with the originally quoted price. No rushing of either project was very much appreciated. I can only hope that both times my tips were well-received by this amazing artist. I am excited that my favorite tattoo artist now has his own shop. Anybody that seeks excellent work should not hesitate to give his venue a call. They are punctual with scheduling as well as showing up to work on time. Keep up the great work! read more

If you're looking to get blasted up by a ink GOD look no further you have come to the right place! Jose "Space Hustle" Arvizu is the sole master mind of the neo traditional style at Shipwrecked Ink! And not only is he a beast on the needle but an aspiring rap artist that will burn toast just from the radiating heat coming from his mouth hole. Ive been coming to Space for the Passed two years ever since he punctured my flesh with his needle for the first time. However, he recently bestowed his excellence upon me by executing one of the best tattoos my mortal eyes have ever witnessed. By his all mighty hand he delivered exactly what I wanted and more! (ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE) I asked Space for an evil great white shark on my arm but instead I received something far better from my lord and savior! Space conjured up such an amazing Shark that it ultimately resembled something that Satan himself would be proud of! In other words if you really want to have an amazing tattoo from an up incoming SUPER STAR just come to good old SHIPWRECKED INK and ask for SPACE! I've been a client of Omar for over 5 years and I can honestly say, living in many different cities.. That he is one of the most talented and professional artists I have ever come across. He is a true artist who can take your ideas and contribute to them to create some amazing pieces of work. I met Jose through Omar and he has quickly became one of my favorite artists as well, this guys line work is amazing and his color work and attention to detail is top notch! George is a new guy there, but his script is on point, along with his other work.. I definitely have it scheduled in to get some work done from him in 2015. As far as the shop is concerned, these guys completely renovated it after recently moving in and it is dope. When it comes down to getting a tattoo you want to make sure you go somewhere that is going to offer quality work, I mean, it's for life! I was referred to Omar through a close friend who has quite a few pieces from him. I went in hoping to add/refresh an existing tattoo as well as alter the color of a different tattoo. He was so helpful and willing to work with my concerns, not being too pushy one way or another. The results are amazing! I'm so stoked for them to heal so I can post pictures. The shop itself has a really relaxed vibe to it. I didn't feel like a stranger waiting for my appointment. It was also easy to float in and out of conversations with the other artists and clients. I've been putting off getting a tattoo covered up for about 5 years... I finally bit the bullet and made an appointment with Omar to get something done about it, and I could not be happier with the result! He got everything right.. Went to Omar for a cover up and was blown away with the results. Great line work, colors that pop in an original idea I hadn't even thought about to combine two designs I couldn't decide between, and of course accomplishing the complete cover up. I was more than happy with the piece and the price was great too, unlike a lot of these other shops around here. Also, all the other pieces I saw walk out of the shop by the other artists were great work with completely satisfied canvasses. I went to Al Ramon a year ago on VDay to get a Macaroni noodle behind my ear, while my best friend got a piece of cheese! (MacNCheese FTW). He has a light hand and does exceptional line work. On a different occasion He also did my 2 swallows on my chest, neurotransmitter organic chemical behind my other ear, and an adoption wrist tattoo. All the paintings along the walls are his and was consistently open with his journey in art and his passion for it. He gave great tips for during the tattooing process and afterwards for the healing.
